Christians' Utilities Shut Off for Refusing to Participate in Religious Ceremony

Twenty-five Protestant families have had their water and electricity supplies disconnected and have effectively been put under house arrest in Mexico because of their refusal to participate in Traditionalist Catholic religious ceremonies.

On Feb. 11, village authorities cut off the Protestant families’ water supply. Two days later, their electricity supply was also disconnected, and chains, ropes and civilian guards were placed around the families’ homes in order to further isolate them.

On the same day, one member of the group was arbitrarily detained by village authorities and imprisoned for more than 24 hours after he attempted to reconnect his water while under the supervision of state officials and police. Village authorities in Unión Juárez, located in La Trinitaria municipality in the state of Chiapas also detained the police officers for 10 hours. ...

John Yurich USA from USA writes:
What is transpiring in that Mexican village is in violation of the Mexican Constitution which guarantees Freedom of Religion.

Two questions then: 1. Why hasn't the government of Mexico responded? 2. Why hasn't this story made mainline US news?

Revelation 13:17 KJV
[17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Did you read deeper into the story? Doesn't sound like the Roman Catholics are being conspired against to me. I've said it before that the church hasn't changed, they have simply been forced to conform within the US. Do some investigation and you'll quickly find that the churches heavy hand is enforced abroad. The church hasn't changed, it's true self has just been forced to go into hiding, for awhile, hiding behind smiles and promises of unity. To be clear, this isn't about hating the people, it's about the system; a system of confusion and doctrines of devils that not even the most ardent supporters on this forum can honestly deny or refute.

GSTexas made the comment on the Morman article that Satan hasn't had to even change tactics and the same can be said for this group. The RCC indeed has a history consistent with their persecution of these families. It will only worsen. Also goes to prove the Ecclesiastical verse "Nothing new under the sun".
