The public already has decided on âAlone Yet Not Alone,â the stunning hymn-like Christian song that was nominated for an Oscar, then had that nomination withdrawn because the songwriter emailed acquaintances about it.
Fox News legal analyst Peter Johnson Jr. noted that movie studios spend âmillions of dollars on parties, ads in Variety, enormous campaignsâ without penalty.
âThey picked on this film, a faith-based film,â he said.
Broughton has commented that he does not believe the song was targeted because of the filmâs faith orientation. But others have said thatâs an issue that needs visiting.
"Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,""And changed the glory of the incorruptible GOD into an image made like corruptible man...Romans 1:22-23 "Who changed the truth of GOD into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, Who is blessed for ever.Amen."Romans 1:25. Unfortunately, this is the kind of society we are dealing with as Believer's. The best thing we can do is love the lost and be an example of Christ, as well as pray for the salvation of their souls as we let are light so shine in this depraved world that they may see our good works and glorify our Father which is in Heaven. Amen!
it is the name of Jesus. Jesus! it is the name which moves the harps of heaven to melody. Jesus! the life of all our joys. If there be one name more charming, more precious than another, it is this name. It is woven into the very warp and woof of our psalmody. Many of our hymns begin with it, and scarcely any, that are good for anything, end without it. It is the sum total of all delights. It is the music with which the bells of heaven ring; a song in a word. CH Spurgeon
I think it matters little what the world thinks. Joni knows who any glory belongs to, who needs mens praise? Gods name is not raised it doesnt praise Jesus by name! Its a song. Did I buy it? Yes, because its Joni and she deserves support as we all do. But these awards are meaningless and not worth fighting for. This is not a slur on God he needs no gold statues. He Alone is worthy of all our worship. Let Katy Perry and her minions roar and worship at their own footstools. Bless you Joni and you did a great job. But your rewards are in heaven, if you haven, t read her book on heaven you should. She clearly can't wait to kneel before Him who is her all in all.
