3 Million Watched Evolution-Creation Debate, but How Many Minds Changed?
A minimum of 3 million viewers watched last night's evolution/creation debate between Bill Nye "The Science Guy" and Ken Ham, founder of the Creation Museum, which was the location of the much-discussed event.
In what some observers have dubbed "Scopes II," Nye and Ham sparred in a cordial yet spirited debate in front of a live audience that braved a winter storm. At least 10,000 groups watched a live stream of the debate in a public venue, and about 750,000 computers logged on to the debate.

Come on now...did you really believe for one moment that I was the least bit serious; believing you really thought that? I would have had to think you were the world's biggest idiot to actually explain the ramifications of a society always having to turn right, and I don't. Just a little humor right back atcha.
John Yurich, why are you not answering the questions? Do you know what the scriptures are?
Show me where in the scriptures it states that salvation is by justification by faith in Jesus alone, and where in the scriptures it states that trusting in Jesus alone means the same thing as salvation is by justification by faith in Jesus alone, and show me in the scriptures where Christ created a Lutheran church, a Baptist church, an Evangelical Protestant church etc. And show me in the scriptures where Jesus is God.

Only a fool would believe life just happens by chance. Let's blow the Big Bang theory up right now: explosions do not create, explosions destroy. # 2 if people came from apes and monkeys, shouldn't they still be? Like the tadpole turning into a frog? A reprobate will do anything to try to discredit God. How sad .

I honestly haven't read anything by Van Til, but I've listened to a number of his lectures through SA. But I'm reading through Schaeffer's "the God who is there" and if you're familiar with Schaeffer's work, you'll be well prepared to give Van Til a listen...though some of the audio is poor due to the time.
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matthew 24:35-39 KJV) it was no mistake that this debate was mostly about the flood, and if you don't believe in the flood you make Christ a Lowe!
Van Til taught alongside J. G. Machen, but you might be more familiar with one if their students: Francis Schaeffer. Presuppositional apologetics focuses on personal worldview bias that precedes the interpretation of facts. So Nye presupposes that man can be reasonable and that this material world is all we have and can know about. And so Nye interprets the world this way. Bringing up evidence contrary to his opinion won't address his presuppositions. ...as for Gordon Clark. I'm unfamiliar with him. I'll check him out.

Bill Nye is the most component enemy of Christianity. Ken has a lot of courage to take him on. I heard the debate, it was so good I actually might be an apologist instead of naturopath. Great job Ken.

"He, convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still." When unregenerate men are presented the truth, they will dismiss it as a fairy tale. The Bible tells us that it is by faith we believe the creation story. It is by faith we believe the Bible is the word of God. Faith is a gift from God. So, if you hate God then you will not believe, no matter what the argument is.
