It's done you no good love. So you'll understand if I ignore your advice.

When I put up something up with a tablet, it is probably a welcome relief to many, because the messages are short. They can be a good thing, which even I recognize it keeps focus on one topic.
However, not only "Do two wrongs not make a right," they make a really big wrong I think in most ways, one can interchange the word, "Mason," with the word "Catholic" in the article written by ex-Masons about their former organization.
Christians can be members of either the Masons or the Romish Church, Masons are a lesser of two evils only in that don't get involved in politics, at least in a bad way, e.g.,
The Economist wrote: ....The church is also increasingly keen to defend its access to public health-care subsidies while claiming a right not to provide certain medical services to which it objects, such as contraception. This increased reliance on taxpayers has not been matched by increased openness and accountability....
Free Masonry, at least in the past, was not suppose to recruit members. So, I had no pressure put on me at all to join it. I have to say I was quite tempted when I was going to the state U. here in Lincoln to join for my own self-protection, because I was being bothered (that's a mild way of putting it) by rival gangs (Greek letter social fraternities), and they having large Catholic membership would help get them to lay off. Being a stubborn sort, I didn't see why I had to join any organization, even a --relatively-- good one, as I understood it at the time anyway, to bet an education. So, I happy I didn't and of course Catholics are always a good example of what not to be, so in way, God used them for me to become a Christian.
Jim, thank you for clarifying, it does put me to rest. yes, they do some charitable work but the behind the scenes stuff isn't pretty. Your family must have expected you to follow in the footsteps? we've certainly seen the pressure to do so. and yes, many can be very decent and pleasant, and be good neighbors, and yes, they need CHrist, as we all do.
My father was, sad to say, was a Free Mason, I have never been. Now John Ankerberg had a long series on it, Count Tolstoy in one of his books commented on it, (my father was surprised that I knew of some of the rituals ) They like Catholics, the Salvation Army have carried out some good charitable work, nothing to fault them on that.
--However--I see Ankerberg has a video on a Masonic funeral, and no my father did not have one, but I was at a Masonic funeral of another person, All Ankerberg had to do or anyone else if I could find a transcript of a Masonic funeral is the statement that a man's works are a part of his salvation! This is all one needs to do point out that Masonry or indeed, ]]Roman Catholics, Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses are NOT Christian. I really don't know how I can make it plainer than that!
It's a shame that no matter how decent and pleasant a Mason, Catholic, Mormon, Jehovah Witness, (or many mainline Protestants for that matter) may be they are not Christian and they are not saved!
All false religions are the enemy of God, and are no better or worse than the other. All are heading the same direction: a place of eternal torment.
Jim, can you give your opinion on Freemasonry? I've seen people accuse you of it in the past, and I don't remember you commenting on it. Freemasonry is obviously satanic, I hope you don't support it.
Jim, although I do not agree with all that is stated there, I find it interesting that you speak so well of freemasonry, as the symbols are all over the occultic music industry.... its clearly antichrist. and the Talmud speaks of Jesus being in hell right now -- which makes sense if you believe your Messiah has not come yet, then it makes Jesus a fraud?
its not enough to blame the other guys (ie republicans) and the other religions (ie islm), but all of us will give account for our own idolatry in our lives.
there is a daily sense of shock on here that others will not challenge these things and so judgment is that a poster who does not yet know the grace of God has it pegged... this whole thing is quite interesting to watch unfold.
the two things I would want to see out of this is for CAB to read Galatians and Ephesians and Hebrews and find her rest in Christ, the other that protestants would quit advancing philosophies opposed to the new testament, and that are antichrist in nature. well, that is the Lord's work....
CAB, you have an interesting way of rating religions. As Martin Luther said, there is Christianity and then all the rest of the religions of work, e.g., Catholicism. Oh, somewhat returning to topic]]Reading Arabic is hard on the brain. Understanding that is even worse. ,

You misunderstood. I'm Christian, pacifist, apolitical (meaning my first allegiance is to God, not to the state).
When it comes to religion I rate false religions in this order worst to best: Judaism, Satanism, Freemasonry, Mormonism, Calvinism, Catholicism, Name it/Claim it TBN, Scientology, UFOlogy, Eastern (Confucionism/Buddism/Hinduism), Islam, SDA, Arminian Biblical Christianity.
I put Judaism as hands-down worst because Talmudic Kabalist (Zohar) Judaism is the mother of Satanic religions and secret societies and is the most pointed and militant in its hatred of Jesus and (successful) dedication to blotting out Christians and the name of Jesus from the earth. Adherents and supporters of Zionist Judaism are spearhead of NWO.
Revelation says most of us will lose our heads to the Jews. Imagine the horror of being a Palestinian in Gaza and multiply that worldwide when the Jews achieve their Zionist dreams.

jj33, thank you for sharing your experiences regarding the power of tv, a form of escape from reality for so many, a disengaged society, thank you, we need to hear that.

You haven't offered any proof (Biblical or not) of those outlandish conspiracy theories & psychological claims, let alone can you, so you Beg the Question.
So yes, that's opinion all right, nothing convincing to me.

I don't mean to be over-posting, but I have an opinion about TV vs the Net. Sorry.
There's a huge difference: TV is a passive, brain massaging tool, with slick ads and wicked programming devised by (mostly Jewish) programmers bent on distracting and corrupting the goyim. TV is Satan's best, most useful tool to brainwash, program, distract, hypnotize (by flicker rate and other hypnotic techniques perfected over the millenia). People slip into a TV trance in a matter of seconds, and all kinds of horrific lies and corrupting ideas are planted in the subconscious, without a sideways glance by the conscious mind. That's brainwashing.
TV is all lies, fake. The talk, dress, story lines, and once you get away from it for awhile, it shows itself for the repulsive medium it is, same with radio.
Internet is different. It's worse and better than TV, because there's unbelievable filth and lies and occult stuff on the Net, but also fabulous useful and edifying information. The user is responsible for whatever he chooses to do or learn, can share his own knowledge and experience. The net is a wonderful tool to edify oneself and others, and evangelize.

You ignored my question before, as well as Mike's, so I'll bring it up again. If TV is bad for everyone, then what makes the Internet any different (as S. Taylor mentioned), & why then are you using it to post comments?
It continues to amaze me how supposed students of God's Word so readily appeal to the opinions of secular scientists when it suits them, in spite of clear direction from Our Lord. He plainly told us what to do in Matt. 18:8 & Mark 9:43.
I grew up in front of a TV. My mother lived and died for TV. Two days from her death she asked to look at TV.
My struggle has been long and hard. The issue is deeper than people just being lonely. Yes, I was lonely, but I was slothful, indulgent, and selfish in that loneliness. My TV sin was much like my drinking sin, and much like my other sins that ruled me.
Here are some books that helped me to understand that the medium of TV itself is useless for conveying any serious message, but is by its nature only capable of entertaining. This is a hard pill to swallow for many, but these men know of what they speak. Many of them were in the media industry.
All God’s Children and Blue Suede Shoes (K. A. Myers) This book is great as a audio book as well, I have both. This book is brilliant.
Amusing Ourselves To Death (Neil Postman) A hard look at TV
The Confetti Generation (W.J. Donnelly)
And a small pile of books by David F. Wells
My fight has been a bloody battle. And it has boiled down to telling the plain truth about myself and what I see. The same goes for modesty. Why is it that men will let their wives and daughters dress like whores? Why do they dare say they can’t see nakedness that I can see?
We are in the midst of almost complete apostasy...
