SC Bill Would Nullify Obamacare, Could Be Model for Others

A bill set for fast-track passage in the South Carolina Senate would effectively nullify Obamacare in that state – and could become a model for other states fed up with the president’s signature healthcare law.

House Bill 3101 passed the state House of Representatives in April and now heads to the Republican-controlled Senate with special-order priority, the Daily Caller reported Monday.

If the bill becomes law, South Carolina will be the first state to exempt citizens and businesses from all participation in the Affordable Care Act, the Daily Caller reported.

The bill's sponsor, state Sen. Tom Davis, recently wrapped up study committee hearings in cities around the state, and says the proposed legislation would render Obamacare void or inoperable through a handful of provisions. ...

Maybe Jim you need to remember KKK was a democrat party idea before you wrongfully tie them to the GOP.
As to "states rights" you would do well to remember the 10th amendment,
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
Don't confuse him with facts, US. Remember he's not one of those rebel Constitution lovers; he speaks for our employees in Washington, whom he thinks are our rulers.

I seriously doubt you will be giving "Mr. Lincoln" a second thought. If you really prayed you might be a little more compassionate and a little less of a bigot.

Yep mr Lincoln might be a leftist . Reading a lot of his comments pretty much speaks for itself . Christianity and this guys views are like oil and water. I don't know too many " Christians" who are ok with this administration unless they go to one of those churches with the rainbow strip on their sign. Pray for that guys deliverance. I will be

I hope Texas follows suit.

Jim what does the kkk, Catholics, the stars and bars, civil war, Abraham Lincoln, and Andrew Jackson have to do with the unconstitutional Obamacare, and South Carolinas desire to nullify it in their state? Just because Congress was dumb enough to pass Obamacare, doesn't mean its constitutional.

Well, as I pointed in another thread, ]]Boehner’s Jabs at Activist Right Show G.O.P. Shift, even a good Catholic like Mr. Boehner is getting tired of the John Birch Society (founded by a Catholic?)/KKK telling them how to think. Now gentlemen if you think I'm not going to bow under the states' rights crowd, forget it. My ancestors fought on the side of the Civil War, that won it.

I happen to be an Independent who naturally have no use for the brainless ]]Left & Right Voices in Talk Radio & TV. I pay no attention to Rush Limbaugh or Dave Letterman, when it comes to politics.

Oh, and the New York Times article was rather polite to the Right wing groups.

COMMUNIST GOALS per the 1963 Congressional Record

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

Be sure to thank your local low information and narcissistic self absorbed single issue voters for helping Americans to gradually adjust to socialism and complete government control with programs like ObamaCare..

Truly, Lenin was accurate when he described these people as "useful idiots"...

Followers of Obama are like that,he is their great leader and all that he does will be defended and if need be excused, all criticism of him is illegitimate, all resistence is unthinkable, unpatriotic or as in this case"seditious" what right do we ungrateful peasants have to resist the great leader who has been sent to us to guide us into the great and everlasting light of "fairness" and "equality" to usher in the age of enlightenment.....the audacity of it all,the outrage of it all....you get the picture.

Well, they could have another Ned Turner Rebellion as well except in SC this time. The main thing this group usually does is hide behind the Stars & Bars. Andy Jackson had to threaten to teach them what the Constitution says, and Abe Lincoln did it.

But first the bill has to pass, and then it has to get through the court system, which will determine it's Constitutionality.

I would think higher courts will rid of this latest nonsense from us, however.
There are no higher courts than the people, and they are speaking. Are you listening, or is it difficult to distinguish the words when you have two left ears? As to Obamacare, powers have been assumed by the executive branch that it does not legally have.
