New Musical Uses Britney Spears’ Music To Tell the Story of Jesus Christ
“Is it the greatest story ever told to the greatest music ever written?”

This is the question the creators of Spears The Musical: The Gospel According To Britney ask in regard to their new opera, which tells the story of Jesus Christ through the music of Britney Spears.

According to the musical’s website, the show will chronicle the life, death and resurrection of Jesus using Britney’s hits like “Stronger,” “One More Time,” “Lucky” and “Crazy.”

Sure. Real smart. Brittany Spears could not be farther away from God. Sometimes I wonder if people have forgotten to use their brains...

Britney Spears grew up Southern Baptist and converted to Kabbalah along with Madonna. It certainly would be great to see her leave the occultism for Christ.

Very good points shane.

From tonight's meeting -

Jonah 1:5 KJV
5 Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.

Jonah 1:9 KJV
9 And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.

Jonah 1:14-16 KJV
14 Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done as it pleased thee.
15 So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.
16 Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows.

From praying to a multitude of little gods which could do nothing, to praying and making vows to JEHOVAH - quite a dramatic shift.

And this through Jonah's disobedience.

Wow, what diversity! I mean, first "Britney Spears Music Used To Scare Away Somali Pirates" and now this! I bet ALL the singers wish they could have such talent! (Pardon me while I look for some pepto...)

Apparently, after reading all of today's headlines on SA, mankind is capable of sinking to even lower lows!

Well I'm not surprised by this. Numerous churches perform to Katy Perry.....and various other secular singers. Though I Find this outraging none the less.
