Popes John Paul II, John XXIII Canonized April 27

Popes John Paul II and John XXIII will be declared saints on April 27, 2014.

Pope Francis announced the date Monday during a meeting with cardinals inside the Apostolic Palace.

Francis had announced in July he would canonize two of the 20th century's most influential popes together, approving a miracle attributed to John Paul's intercession and bending Vatican rules by deciding that John XXIII didn't need one.

As Jim said below for the umteenth time, this has never been about any particular church, but rather, washing your hands and dusting your feet off from one that is diametrically opposed to Christ as is evidenced and easily proven by their many heretical doctrines, Pagan born rituals, and anti-christ dogmas. The issue is about attending a church that preaches, teaches, and trys to live by the Bible alone and say good riddens to one that is so clearly, and provably full of every rotten, putrified thing.
Knowing what I know now, I would opt to stay home any day over participating in such gross doctrinal error. I couldn't just pretend that what was really going on, wasn't either. I just don't comprehend how any born again Christian can remain within such a provably diabolical system of false doctrines, Pagan ritual carry-overs from Constantine, and in your face idolotry. I don't get it...

Why is it that I perceive that the "shy" person you speak of is none other than ... YOURSELF?

I'd be willing to wager that it is YOU who don't like to fellowship and engage in interpersonal verbal communication with individuals! Therefore, it is quite convenient for YOU to attend mass and then scoot out of there as fast as possible (as do many, if not all, of the Roman Catholics you "worship" with).

To post here on SermonAudio is YOUR vicarioius and ONLY form of "fellowship."

It's just a hunch I have based on MY past experience as a Roman Catholic myself. I.e., virtually NO ONE sticks around once the mass is finished. That is a fact.

Chris, thanks for the encouragement. If a person is born again, he will want to find ways to show it. No people like John Y., who know by now they should ]]Come Out Of The Catholic Church, but who refuse to do so, is committing the sin of commission. He is in league with the devil in publicly proving his support for Satanic lies. He is committing the sin of omission by not showing supporting a true church, such as most Independent Fundamentalist Baptist ones, by at least not attending one. Now a Christian recognizes (usually) ]]Why Should I Become an Active Member of a Church.

It would be a strange church that would not welcome but also leave a person be, who just wants to come to hear sound preaching, but isn't interested in becoming a member. A point I have made with John several times.

Here lies your problem, "What if there is a Catholic who is Born Again by reason of having embraced Jesus as their Savior"
Being born again does not come by your own efforts, by doing a work- such as making a decision, or embracing Christ. How is one born again?
"who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God." John 1:13
"But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ‚ÄĒby grace you have been saved." Ephesians 2:4-5
You are trusting in your work, something you've done, as a means of being regenerated, however, the Bible teaches otherwise. God gets all the glory in the saving of a sinner, from Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
The doctrine of regeneration isn't even taught in the Roman Catholic church. They teach that salvation is by baptismal regeneration, maintained through the Catholic sacraments. If you commit a willful sin, you break that 'state' of sanctifying grace. This is a 'work', which the verses I listed clearly teach opposite of.

Nope, just that they would stop attending the RCC and partaking in Mass.
If they refuse, it shows their dependence upon it to take them to heaven and not on a meaningless profession that does not show itself in a changed life. For the grace of God that brings salvation teaches us to deny ungodliness....

Right, Jim, and thanks, Sorda. Interesting numbers. I actually had a longer post that I deleted by mistake but didn't have the time to retype. In the post, I had mentioned that he could tune into a local Sunday broadcast on TV, utilize the Internet for its wealth of online Bible study tools, Youtube for its sermons, Bible teachings, testimonials, etc, uploads, Sermon Audio for its wealth of video broadcasts, mp3 uploads, white papers, and the list of options goes on.
I would much rather stay home than "pretend" that what is happening in the church I'm attending, isn't. I would leave immediately once I found out that the church I attend opposes all things God, and actually fights against Him as is evidenced by their many heretical doctrines, dogmas, and rituals. Before anyone attempts to argue against this point, this claim can easily be proven by using the Bible alone to try and convict the Roman machine by their own words, teachings, quotes, etc. Very easily accomplished.

John Y.,you can be just as shy and retiring sitting in the back of a fundamentalist church as a Catholic one, but you would be in a Christian Church instead of one that isn't. At the present time you are aiding the Antichrist.

There are approximately 300,000 sermons uploaded every week across the English speaking world. At the end of this decade, there will be more than 5,000 individual sermons preached for every single verse of the bible (31,000 verses). He could go to church and listen to his pastor's perspective on the verse he chose or he could just lie in bed listening to the 5,000 other perspectives (2,500 hours or 1 year) on that individual verse.

If they are that shy, they should become leaders of a country rock band.

I'd like to venture an answer while you wait on Lorac...stay home. I would choose this option any day over attending a religious system that is provably, and obviously diametrically opposed to Christ. I could never justify "pretending" that I'm not there or plugging my ears/ignoring all of the "unscriptural" parts of the mass.

Aside from the fact that Gods Elect know the Romanism is not Christian....it amazes me that even religious people which some of the RC are would stay in an institution that has been proven over the centuries to be rife with every form of vice and immorality and now in this century we are hearing almost daily concerning the sodomy, and rapes of the children that are given over to these beasts as the children in bygone days where sacrificed to molech.
It is not even rational as to why one would stay in that vile institution. And many even ignore all the facts and defend it as I have read on this site.Unbelievable!!!
They truly are the children of the wicked one.

For myself, the issue was not leaving Rome that blinded me, but for others in my family that upbringing seemed to have more of a stronghold. I think there is some truth to the Jesuit saying, "Give me a child for the first seven years and I will show you the man."

Thankful for God's supernatural work of the Holy Spirit on myself and others in my family that led to saving grace.

Very true, gentlemen. I read somewhere they tossed these two together because J23 was a better actor than the bad actor JP2, e.g., ]]Canonising Pope John Paul II with blood on his hands.

]]The Papacy is anti-Christian, so neither member of this odd couple were a Christian, as has been pointed out by earlier remarks.

If you were not called a saint (I Corinthians 1:2) while you lived upon this earth you cannot be made one after you have passed on into eternity.

Wonder what John Yurich thinks of all this?

A saint is a born again Christian, the Catholics can call these antichrist's "saints" all they want, but it doesn't make it so.
