Group to join 'reformed church' over Kirk's gay clergy rule

A CHURCH of Scotland local leadership that plans to quit the Kirk over gay ordination is to create a new "reformed, Presbyterian church" in its district, setting a major precedent.

The significance of their declaration is magnified by the fact Mr Randall is the third clergyman in the same family to quit the Kirk in a week over the issue. His father, Rev David Randall Sr of Dundee's Logie and St John's Church, and his brother, Rev David Randall Jr of Loudoun Church in Newmilns in Ayrshire, have said they will leave.

Larbert Old is understood to be one of the first parishes considering the IPC as well as ...

That would be a step backwards. The Baptists are still trying to get their heads round the Old Testament and therefore haven't properly comprehended the terms of God's Covenant. Then there are these newly invented rites (from 1521) of dunking, depth of water and Arminian verbal authentication.
Its about time genuine believers (if they are) left the Liberal Church of Scotland and its satanic attacks on the Word and Doctrines of God. Any one with any real Biblical commitment to the laws precepts and doctrines of Scripture should have dumped the Kirk years ago, just as the Lord has. But now that the Kirk has shown to be morally corrupt as well as spiritually bankrupt no true Christian shall remain there. Only Liberals.
2Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
Stower? Hmmmm? Who is Stower? Never heard of him.

The Kirk was supposed to have grown into an International Presbyterian Church (IPC). Church history presents another story of Presbyterians sharply divided over national, ethnic, administrative, doctrinal and now moral lines.

Interesting. But they would be better off joining a proper Grace Baptist Church.

International Presbyterian Church? Well I looked up a website which purports to be IPC, and found this section on sacraments:

"....and Baptism should be administered as soon as possible after a credible profession of faith. In line with their nature as covenant signs, infants born within the family of the church are rightly baptised to show their membership of the covenant people in which they will grow; and children giving a credible profession of faith, as judged by their parents and the church’s elders, are rightly given the Lord’s Supper."

I don't know if any others foresee problems with that, but it seems to me that babies can be sacramentally baptised in water, but the bread and wine are refused them until they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (as judged by other men).

A sort of half-saved, nearly there.
