Pope Francis: God redeemed everyone, ‘not just Catholics’

Pope Francis is warning Catholics not to demonize those who are not members of the church, and he specifically defended atheists, saying that building walls against non-Catholics leads to “killing in the name of God.”

In a passage that may prompt a theological debate about the nature of salvation, the pontiff also declared that God “has redeemed all of us, all of us, with the Blood of Christ: all of us, not just Catholics. Everyone!”

“Even the atheists,” he said to those who might question his assertion. “Everyone!” ...

SPOT ON, Spotter!

Hammack gets hight echolades from the RC's here on these forumns. Hammack regularly features and promotes RC'ism

One of the issues I have with sermons here on SA is that it is like meneuvering through a minefield because you cannot always tell, say for instance, which ones are Arminian.

Spot on with Hammack

Oh, remember,
Pope Adrian VI, 1523 wrote:
It is beyond question that he [the pope] can err even in matters touching the faith. He does this when he teaches heresy by his own judgment or decretal. In truth, many Roman Pontiffs were heretics.
The last three Unholinesses which includes this one are striving for The Pope’s Push for a One-World Religion and it should be added, "Rome when in minority is as gentle as a lamb, when in equality is as clever as a fox, and when in the majority is as fierce as a tiger."

Ere and James is Back, there is really a quite good article about Semi-Pelagianism at The Unholy Alliance.

Adam Clarke Intro 1 Peter 5 wrote:
Verse 1. The elders which are among you] In this place the term [Greek term], elders or presbyters is the name of an office. They were as pastors or shepherds of the flock of God, the Christian people among whom they lived. They were the same as bishops, presidents, teachers and deacons, Ac 14:23; 1Ti 5:17. And that these were the same as bishops the next verse proves.

Who am also an elder] [Greek term]. A fellow elder; one on a level with yourselves. Had he been what the popes of Rome say he was-the prince of the apostles; and head of the Church, and what they affect to be-mighty secular lords, binding the kings of the earth in chains, and their nobles in fetters of iron; could he have spoken of himself as he here does? It is true that the Roman pontiffs, in all their bulls, each style themselves servus servorum Dei, servant of the servants of God, while each affects to be rex regum, king of kings, and vicar of Jesus Christ. But the popes and the Scriptures never agree....

Ah, an excellent commentary about these anti-Christs of Rome, The Pope and the Papacy.

Oh, C...& A.[/

Not Armenian, but Arminian.

In any case Roman Catholics are not Arminian: they are Semi-Pelagians!

One has to wonder if The Vicar of Satan, Pope Fran, isn't he contradicting Vatican II when people who know about the Romish Church, are condemned to hell if they aren't a part of it?

I would also add,

Romans 10
3 For not knowing about God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
5 For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law shall live by that righteousness.
6 But the righteousness based on faith speaks thus, "DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, 'WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?' (that is, to bring Christ down),
7 or 'WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead)."
8 But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"-- that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
Ephesians 2
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
9 not as a result of works, that no one should boast.---NASB
