Pelosi: Her Catholic Faith 'Compels' Her to Support Same-Sex Marriage

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday that her Catholic faith "compels" her to "be against discrimination of any kind" and thus for same-sex marriage.

A reporter asked Pelosi: ‚ÄúMany of the people that are opposed to gay marriage cite their religion as the reason why they're opposed. You're a Catholic that supports gay marriage. Do you believe that religion and the idea that you can support gay marriage can be separated? And how do you grapple with the idea that you support gay marriage as a Catholic?‚ÄĚ ...

Today I was in the downtown area of the capitol city of the state where I reside in the Upper Middle West and there was a man preaching from the Holy Bible in the outdoor plaza of a bank. I stood there and listened to him for awhile. I heard someone state that the cops should be called and the man arrested. Well that would be in violation of the First Amendment to the Constitution.

Congratulations to your nephew and to you for having a Christian in your family to share with. And congratulations also for your long years of posting on Sermonaudio where everybody is so unfriendly and insulting to you.

If you choose to placate
Impending
Placate?

Let me be clear and to the point IMHO the U.S. needs some serious house cleaning ________

Beginning with the pulpits of our churches and those teaching in our seminaries with who are not standing for the Truth of Scripture and the obedience of Faith and are so far from practising Biblical Christianity that they are right now part of the problem and desperately need REPENTANCE not supperfical reform.

2 Chronicles 7:14 gives us the promise of what God Himself will do if His people who are called by His Name humble themselves and pray and seek His face and turn from their wicked ways.

So let's do that!

Then when we witness to our neigbors who we owe a real testimony of the Mercy and Grace and Power of a very Sovereign, Holy and Almighty God that we have grievously sinned against in the U.S. we will have a leg to stand on.

Or we can play church.
And find out we needed to fear God infinitely more than evil democrats, Muslims, Mormons, Roman Catholics, Evolutionists, homosexuals, abortionists and on and on

If you choose to placate the policies of the Democrats then that is entirely up to you.

Repentance is the gift of God to His elect and recent history illustrates that Christianity is so far from the Democrats perspective that I doubt whether they can spell repent without choking on it.

Face reality Michael the current bunch of Democrats are so far from God and Christian teaching that Nero would be at home amongst them. This requires that the true Church must take its stand upon Bible laws and doctrines which places us diametrically opposed to them especially when they are in government. We owe that witness to our neighbors.

2John:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Dear Impending
If?

Let's stop a moment and be honest here. Are we as Americans not already tasting the wrath of God? The appetizers so to speak for the main course which is simmering hotter and hotter in the kitchen to be served at the appropriate time.

Nancy Pelosi's and Barack Obama's and assorted Republican's support of the abomination of homosexual marriage is not a matter of "if" at all. We are already quilty, and along with that guilty of some 50,000,000 abortions, guilty of teaching as fact the devilish fantasy of Evolution.

AND we need to REPENT and Seek God Now, with great confession of our own sin (judgment does begin with the house of God) and then those of our nation as well, and seek God for His mercy.

It's vital that the two largest arms of Christianity -- the 16 million Southern Baptists and the 68 million Roman Catholics -- are in total lock step to prevent Obama from effectively abolishing marriage.

They must work together to prevent this great experiment from becoming the greatest nightmare.

The rcc teaches children are regenerated,"original sin " at there baptism. Therefore they take away from the atonement of Christ. We need to reach the rcc people in love just like the Mormons,jw's, etc...

John I was just talking about your comment when you said "It is high time that every single homosexual student in the Catholic Seminaries in the United States be kicked out of the seminaries. And it is also high time that every single homosexual priest in the United States be kicked out of the priesthood. This is total insanity that homosexuals were permitted to be students at the Catholic Seminaries in the United States."

My point was merely to agree with your sentiment and add that this is exactly what we would expect to see when biblical truth is abandoned. Gay priests, gay seminary students, and Catholic supporters of gay marriage are the fruit of what was sown.

The article pertains to homosexulity and not any of the unbiblical teachings of the Catholic Church that you were referring to. The fact of the matter is that the Catholic doctrine that homosexulity is a sin is not a doctrine of men but comes directly from the Bible. So for you to bring up any of the unbiblical teachings of the Catholic Church in relation to this article is superfluous.

In spite of what anyone else thinks about the Catholic Church in general, and I do have problems with many of their doctrines, the church clearly sides with the Bible on this issue, and abortion issue as well. Pelosi is another person in authority using double speak to brainwash the less intelligent among us. It's just like that snake one time in the garden saying, "God surely wouldn't forbid you from eating this fruit because the fruit is good and God is good so eat it."
