Papal visit offers hope in Cuba
The pope was in Mexico on Sunday, where he addressed hundreds of thousands of worshipers in an open-air Mass.

On his flight Friday from the Vatican to Mexico, Benedict XVI offered some hope to the dissidents.

"Today it is evident that Marxist ideology in the way it was conceived no longer corresponds to reality," he said, adding that he was ready to help Cuba find new ways of moving forward. "New models must be found with patience and in a constructive way."

What we’re watching emerge in this country is a new kind of paganism, an atheism with air-conditioning and digital TV. And it is neither tolerant nor morally neutral."
-Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, OFM Cap.
And yet Catholics in droves voted for the one who voted to let failed abortion babies die, known before they voted for him. Only now, when contaceptives become an issue, do they finally care about the America we're becoming? Why did they go that way, then?
