Report: 5 U.S. soldiers misunderstood orders about Qurans
A U.S. military investigation into the burning of the Muslim holy book in a trash pit in Afghanistan last month found that several enlisted soldiers had misinterpreted an order to dispose of the Korans, two officials familiar with the findings said Friday.

The investigation found that five U.S. soldiers were responsible for confiscating the Korans and other religious materials from a U.S.-run detention facility near Bagram Air Base, north of Kabul, and dumping them in a pit used to incinerate trash.

The books were initially put in a storage area, but they were removed a few days later after enlisted soldiers were told to dispose of them. They were not told to burn the books, although it’s unclear how they were supposed to dispose of them. ...

“several enlisted soldiers had misinterpreted an order to dispose of the Korans”

If so, then “An order that can be misunderstood, will be misunderstood” – Army proverb, attributed to Napoleon

BTW, what should we do with old worn-out Bibles?

"A group of politically powerful Muslim clerics met with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and demanded a public trial in an Afghan court of the U.S. troops involved, Karzai’s office said."

Soon the western nations will pull out of Afghanistan and the Taliban will again take over this primitive and uncivilised nation.

Serves them right!

The muslim religion proves again and again how Satanic and evil it is as history has demonstrated.

The foolishness of the politically correct and Liberal people in western institutions such as the UN, EU, Liberal churches and other organisations which allow these people to continue in their hostile and belligerent ideology - and expect them to integrate and merge with the rest of the world, illustrate their ignorance of a deadly poison.

The actions of some of the Muhammadans in Afghanistan shows Muslim Mindset: 'The hatred is in Muhammad himself'.
Winston Churchill about Afghanistan wrote:
Every influence, every motive, that provokes the spirit of murder among men, impels these mountaineers to deeds of treachery and violence. The strong aboriginal propensity to kill, inherit in all human beings, has in these valleys been preserved in unexampled strength and vigour. That religion, which above all others was founded and propagated by the sword -- the tenets and principles of which are instinct with incentives to slaughter and which in three continents has produced fighting breeds of men -- stimulates a wild and merciless fanaticism. The love of plunder, always a characteristic of hill tribes, is fostered by the spectacle of opulence and luxury which, to their eyes, the cities and plains of the south display. A code of honour not less punctilious than that of old Spain, is supported by vendettas as implacable as those of Corsica.
