Nigeria’s Richest Pastor Puts Private Jets Up For Sale
Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of the Winners Chapel International has now put up two out of his four private jets for sale.

[His newest] private jet, a Gulfstream V was declared to the over 10,000 worshippers who thronged Canaaland on Sunday March 27th, by the bishop himself. The bishop said the new jet will be used exclusively for the ministry’s African Mission.

In his speech on Sunday, the bishop also announced that a state-of-art private aircraft hanger that can accommodate five jets at a time is being built for his jets near the international wing of Murtala Mohammed International Airport. ...

It is one thing to verbally acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, it is an entirely different thing to give Him one's empty lip service, denying the sufficiency of His once for all sacrifice on the Cross, to deny the need of genuine repentance and faith demonstrated in obedience the word of God, and insist on one's cherished Tradition, Popes (call Holy Father ), infant sprinklings, Masses and Mary, etc. etc. and etc.s

Well said Michael, even the demons knew who Jesus was, but what possible good did that do them!

Mt. 8:[29] And they cried out, saying, "What business do we have with each other, Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?"

Mark 5:[7] and shouting with a loud voice, he *said, "What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God, do not torment me!"

Mark 1:[24] saying, "What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are--the Holy One of God!"

Ah, you mean like Roman Catholic priest, bishops, Popes, etc.? Under financial scandals Der Spiegel (In English) has an interesting story about, ]]Hidden Wealth of the Catholic Church (Germany).

Ah, John Y.! you should find this interesting,

...In “My Ticket to Heaven,” a popular Catholic tract that has sold over 3,000,000 copies, the reader is told that his “ticket to heaven” is good works and, permanent abstaining from mortal sin.2 Thus, “If I do my part, God will do His part.” (3) This booklet is labeled as “A Tract of Salvation,” and a “straight forward presentation of Christian faith”—but its principal effect is to produce the fear of never achieving heaven since salvation is so clearly laid out as involving a practical perfectionism. Although written by a priest of 40 years, it never once mentions personal faith in Jesus Christ as the basis for salvation.

Unless you can trust in God by the Holy Spirit and have a true Faith.

Roman Catholics of course will not receive this teaching since theirs is a salvation by works.

Bibliophile believes that you should not bring your faith to work?

Kind of like the Prosperity Preaches do in Africa and the U.S. too.

"Today's Evangelicals Embracing
The World's Deadliest Cult" article above for JY.

Who was Willson Ewin?

40 years of ministry to Roman Catholics because of love. When he came to Quebec in 1953 with his wife and three daughters, the Province was indeed, in the words of Pope Pius XII at that time, "the most Catholic country in the world." As such, all those seeking to bring God's Word to French Canada, were subject to various forms of persecution. Yet perseverance in gospel work was maintained for it was fueled by love for the Roman Catholic.

Nevertheless, 1953 was a difficult and somewhat dangerous period for missionaries to minister among the Catholic population. Wilson has been jailed, stoned, man handled and threatened with death. Through God's blessing, hundreds of Catholics were saved and several churches built, one of those being in the New England States.

Of course the Catholic Church has never denied that Jesus is God Incarnate. That has always been the central teaching of the Catholic Church. So for anybody to state that the Catholic Church is a Cult is totally insane because the doctrines of the Deity Of Jesus and the Holy Trinity are what constitute a True Church. A Cult denies the Deity Of Jesus and the Holy Trinity.

This is a very conclusively biased article, quite disjointed and incoherent, lacking in details, and almost somewhat malicious, and the link for the 'complete article' is not even working.

I am yet to fully understand the motive for the article, is the writer suggesting that it is wrong for a pastor to own private jets? and I think another user even asked that "when did pastors start using private jets?" that's ridiculous.
note: I am not a pastor, or preacher, I don't own a church, I am just a child of God concerned about how some people believe Christians are forbidden to live a prosperous life. If his calling does not suffer, and he has not been directed against it by the holy spirit, I see no reason why a preacher cannot use a private jet

Ahhhhhh
Isn't that kind of like one of your Popes telling someone, "No longer can the church say silver and gold have I none." With the comeback to the Pope, "Neither can she say, 'Rise up and walk'."

Thanks for reminding me.

This site seems to have a good account of the "rogues' gallery" of Africa, it seems to be good to look over, anyway.
