Once disgraced, Ted Haggard to start new church in Colorado
Former megachurch pastor Ted Haggard said Wednesday that he will launch a new church from his Colorado Springs home, 3 1/2 years after he resigned from his ministry amid an embarrassing and devastating sex scandal.

"This is my resurrection day," he declared.

Haggard said he doesn't know how many people will attend his new church, but he said the ordeal he and his wife, Gayle, went through has prepared them to help others.

You are indeed right about both programs. But I do know, when it comes to secular programs, that even when you do mention Jesus, it is edited out of the program. Haggard may have done like Osteen did, but knowing these programs, he may have said things that were edited out. I'm not trying to exonorate Haggard, I just don't know all the details. If he has repented, not just of his actions, but of his attitude toward the sin, then I wish him the best. If not, I will continue to pray for his repentance and restoration.
Haggard said everyone will be accepted in his new church.

Everyone except "self-righteous people."

Meaning Bible Believing, fundamentalists.

I doubt he has repented of anything.

He never said that "homosexuality" was a sin nor did he say it wasn't.
How can anyone listen to him or anyone who will not stand firmly on an issue?
It's like Joel Osteen dodging every question on Larry King.
Joy Behar isn't a program I watch frequently. You can watch clips on youtube.
She needs to be taken off television.
I know one of her quests tonight is Christopher Hitchens.
Christopher Hitchens is one of the last people who needs to be a literary critic.

What Ted and Mrs. Ted are really missing is the large pay check they got from their 10,000 attendee Sunday morning variety show. The man isn't believable and never has been, but people are gullible. The man went on Oprah for goodness sake.

I saw Mr. and Mrs. Haggard on Oprah promoting her book. The words "God" or "Jesus" were not used once in the entire interview. The wife claimed that on the very same day as the revelation about Ted's behavior they were in the same bed and were intimate. Do you believe that?! This is a sad case indeed. He says that he has no homosexual urges anymore. What does that mean? Did he have "urges" before? Who knows? He says he wants to help the brokenhearted. Yet, what about me? I'm brokenhearted that he is going back into ministry. He would help me by not doing so. Remember: "To as many as received Him [Jesus Christ] He gave the power to become children of God and to believe in His name."(John 1:12) Is he being called back into ministry by Jesus Christ? If not, what's the point?

What is your point?

Why not answer my question?

Does this look like repentance to you?

Why do you assume I would not worship with ANY repentant brother?

J3 has the right attitude because Haggard can't be an elder (pastor) because he doesn't fit the qualifications,

Titus 1
5 For this reason I left you in Crete, that you might set in order what remains, and appoint elders in every city as I directed you,
6 namely, if any man be above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion.
7 For the overseer must be above reproach as God's steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain,
8 but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled,
9 holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, that he may be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.---NASB

I don't think there is any evidence he can fulfill many of these qualification, now, let alone in the past.

Let his repentantance be from the public ministry.

This is no rope; this is safe for him and us and to the glory of God.

Does not one have to repent to be restored?

Does this look like repentance to you?

I know it does not look like repentance to the world because it is news.

It would do many hearts good if he would just cool his jets and take the back seat. His was a public fall, and the Name of our Lord was put through the mud in a big way; does that not upset you a little?

Why fuzzy, you're quite sharp this time! Yes, Teddy should be a greeter at Walmart. He never was fit to be a pastor,
1 Timothy 6

6 But godliness actually is a means of great gain, when accompanied by contentment.
7 For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either.
8 And if we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.
9 But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction.
10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith, and pierced themselves with many a pang.---NASB

There are so many thing wrongs with the pentecostal movement, and greed is one of the most important problems. What's Wrong with the Pentecostal Movement?

from article: "I have an incredible heart for broken people," he said. "I think we're qualified to hold people's hands" in times of trouble.

Pay me, and I will do this for you--but I am not your therapist nor am I going to give you advice. Rather, I am going to relieve you of your personal responsibility of prayer to your Heavenly Father and ask for things on your behalf. Please understand, if your situation does not improve, it is YOUR fault. I am the professional and I can only do so much. Then why pay me you ask? Well, ever since the late 1800s people have PAID men who claim to be "called by god" to tell them what they want to hear. This is what makes our American gospel unique.

I get rich and I will pray that your income increases. When yours does, mine does also.

Beautiful isn't it?

Besides, what else am I supposed to do for money? Be a greeter at Walmart?
