Baptists say they were trying to do good in Haiti
Ten U.S. Baptists arrested trying to take 33 children out of earthquake-shattered Haiti say they were just trying to do the right thing, applying Christian principles to save Haitian children.

Prime Minister Max Bellerive told The Associated Press Sunday he was outraged by the group's "illegal trafficking of children" in a country long afflicted by the scourge and by foreign meddling.

But the hard reality on the ground in this desperately poor country—especially after the catastrophic Jan. 12 quake—is that some parents openly attest to their willingness to part with their children if it will mean a better life. ...

yes indeed, but what should we learn from this ? How should we understand Gods providence in this matter ?

Is God revealing the wickedness of the haitans and the us govt, the one locking them up and the other ignoring their plight ? Its hard to imagine this happening 50 yrs ago i imagine that the us govt would have sorted out the haitans PDQ

or are we to understand this another way ? God sent the earthquakes and is angry with haiti so dont interfere ?

or are we to understand this as a comment on mainstream churchianity ? I dont believe this myself but........

i think myself that the wickedness of the us govt and the haitans is being exposed but im open to ideas..........

BTW jpw sorry for picking on you but i must insist on my full nomenclature that is to say prince charles pc really wont do ! someone else who was also very nice called me charles and i let it ride but i feel i must now put my foot down and insist on my full title

pc,----Haitians are a very sweet, kind people and many are Christians too. Here in America there is a ton of Satanic stuff going on all the time, I have seen it in Asia as well, it is just the state of this fallen world. Remember this used to be a slave island, and you don't really see the old slave islands producing rich nations, perhaps someone will think of something but many of the rich in these nations are the Europeans who come in and make investments/tourist attractions. Gosh, I have known many Baptist missionaries, who gave up all their wealth to help a few children along the way----anyone could have come along the way who hated Christians and make up mumbo jumbo. Maybe there is a naivete that comes with short-term mission trips, where people don't really know what they are getting themselves into, but the long term ones, they generally do, and count the cost and do it anyway, and that is a refreshing thing, compared to couch quarterbacking! And yes, God will avenge the elect, even the dumb ones like me too!

im just asking the questions ! what do you think the situation is ?

i saw that hilary clinton witch creature on tele and she isnt doing anything to help them, i think given that the whole island is a nest of devil worshippers that the usa govt should say release those people or else, maybe they were a little foolish and i only say maybe but it doesnt warrant them being locked up the us govt should come to the rescue and demand their release these charges are malicious under the circumstances if i were the president they would be free and home by now !

God will avenge His elect ! even the dumb ones like me !

what is Gods providence here ?

these people were dumb and thoughtless, they might be regenerate christians or they might be do goodnik churchianity false converts.

What is God teaching them / us ?

They looked pretty unsure of themselves on tv and the older dame lied to start with and said at first they didnt realise they were doing anything wrong then changed her mind so not a good sign

apparently the parents were willing enough that the kids should go but thats no criteria in a nation which habitually abandons its children - another bad sign that the baptists would assist in child abandonement

is the government trying to assert itself ?

usually in these situations everyone trys to find an easy way out to avoid the publicity - if the baptists didnt take it were they digging their heels in and being dumb ? (again ?)

Is God saying I sent the earthquake dont interfere ?

Are they false do goodnick churchianity christians and God is teaching them something so they get properly convereted ?

myself i think they bought dishonour to the gospel they arent getting persecuted for the word they are locked up for taking liberties at the root of it is a desire to have the approval of men a tough lesson to learn but if they are the elect it will be for the best

throw the Christians under the bus? especially the ones that go to a nation experiencing disaster and try to help a few families out? this is a political circus act-but as usual there are American Christians ready to jump in, and criticize from their couch while watching their neighbors perish. Gosh, isn't there some government program to take care of them?

All three previous posts are accurate and I must agree.

These "U.S. Baptists" are either the dumbest bunch of do-goodnicks in existence or they had an ulterior motive.

I say lock them up in Haiti, we can't afford any more prisoners, especially since all our free capital is being spent in Port au Prince.

]]US Baptists 'knew taking children out of Haiti was wrong'. I just wonder if they knew how wrong it was? Of course first of all we have articles calling Catholic "Christians" and that clan organization in Kansas, "Baptist" So just who are these "Baptists" anyway?

They could be giving aid in-place until the dust settles (dust of all types) in that country. Not enough children in the U.S. to help?

That is pretty sobering news you just posted.

If Jesus Christ doesn't return during the next three years, our OBAMA_NATION will be destroyed until this Muslim illegal African is in office. To say Obama is the absolutly worse President of the USA ever, would be a gross understatement!!!

Importing a flood of AIDS infected Haitians into Florida - a population of our immune suppressed and susceptible elderly American citizens is more than just ignorance..this is intentional genocide.

This is biological warfare.

The United States had a travel ban on AIDs infected hosts coming into this country for 22 years.. until Obama repealed that ban in January 2010.

When immigrants came into Ellis Island they were health checked and quarantined. Common sense.

Because people with AIDS have weakened immune systems, they're prone to all manner of infections, called opportunistic infections Incurable TB ,MRSA , necrotizing fasciitis, the flesh-eating bacteria, staph, Menigitis Pneumocystis Carinii..

Even before the 2010 earthquake, nearly half the causes of deaths have been attributed to HIV/AIDS, respiratory infections, meningitis and diarrheal diseases, including cholera and typhoid, according to the World Health Organization

Cases of tuberculosis (TB) in Haiti are more than ten times as high as those in other Latin American countries
Help the haitian but do it THERE.. we have a respoonsibility to our own elderly citizens first.

This is biological warfare against our own elderly citizens.
