Senate passes historic health care legislation
Senate Democrats passed a landmark health care bill in a climactic Christmas Eve vote that could define President Barack Obama's legacy and usher in near-universal medical coverage for the first time in U.S. history.

The 60-39 vote on a cold winter morning capped months of arduous negotiations and 24 days of floor debate. It also followed a succession of failures by past congresses to get to this point.

I believe what we are seeing, and should have seen for multiple years in the U.S. AND MOURNING OVER AND REPENTING OF is literally a nation abandoned and given over to Satan, who comes only to rob, kill and destroy, abandoned and given over by weak and cowardly lazy apathetic "Christians" (if they really are in the first place).

Pastors NEED TO REPENT (5 of the 7 angels would that be the messengers or pastors of the seven churches in Revelation were told to)

Pastors NEED TO LEAD the churches entrusted to them by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself IN REPENTANCE

AND BACK AGAIN TO CHURCH PRAYER, Real prayer meetings not merely a sharing of our requests and interests BUT REALLY PRAYING OVER THEM ESPECIALLY A REAL SEEKING OF THE FACE OF GOD that we might know His will for us and have His power to do it...even if it costs us or jobs, our fine houses, our worldly friends, our physical freedom and even if it means arrest torture imprisonment and death.

AND THESE PASTORS NEED TO REPENT AND RETURN TO REAL PREACHING not just ear tickling sermons, dramas entertainment that won't get them in trouble.

You are right there are many corrupt politicians and there are many corrupt American citizens. We have an entitlement attitude and we are unwilling to work hard. The politicians steal our tax money an use it for the most ungodly uses. And the American citizen steals by bringing the most outrageous law suits for the most outrageous amounts of money. If we would in fact stop lying, cheating, stealing, perhaps God would forgive this country. If we would stop pumping money into prostitution, pornography, gambling, and give that money to pay off China and buy our country back then perhaps things would be different. The greed, gluttony, and self seeking glory is repulsive to watch.

The problem with healthcare is the character of the American people. The Politicians are simply a mirror for America to look at themselves through. How can we fix healthcare when everyone feels entitled to receive it WITHOUT paying into it or for it? How can we fix healthcare when we offer it to illegals and allow others from other countries to cross our borders to get it free (Canada)? Healthcare is a problem but the problem is not with healthcare it's with America's heart.

The problem, Covehithe, is that we have leaders who are as stupid as they are ungodly.

There is no health care crisis in America. There IS a health crisis. People smoke, drink, eat like gluttons and never excercise. Obesity is at an all time high. So is laziness. This will ruin any nation.

It might also be said that many who claim they can't afford health insurance CAN afford cell phones, satellite/cable television, various forms of needless pleasures and luxuries, etc.

All in all, this is just another way that the crooked politicians can control us.

Hey you guys across the pond in America does this mean you got socialism now?

The big problem with many socialist run institutions in UK, is the competence of those who are in management positions. All to often their decision making ability is far below those who work in the private sector. This invariable means an all too large demand on the tax budget, which need not have been quite so big if a brighter person had worked there.
Know what I mean?
