Family Group Releases Study on Effects of Pornography
Washington, D.C.-based Family Research Council released on Wednesday a new study detailing the effects of pornography on marriages, children and individuals.
"This is a ground-breaking review of what pornography costs families trying to create a life together," said Dr. Pat Fagan, who authored the study and serves as FRC's senior fellow and director of the Center for Research on Marriage and Religion. "Men, women and sometimes even children are saturated by sexual content, and more significantly, are told that it has no real effect. It's just a little amusement."
But through the study, Fagan affirmed that "pornography corrodes the conscience, promotes distrust between husbands and wives and debases untold thousands of young women."...
Please enlighten me. Just when there was an article that I thought no Christian could possibly find a problem with, there is nothing but negativity. Is the problem the usual suspects? (someone who works in the janitorial dept, is a catholic, or uses the wrong translation of the Bible) I guess I'm just not as discerning as some folks. I hope I never will be. I'm as biblicaly conservative as they come, but I'll not be a Pharasee that can't see any good. I guess Job's quote is still valid " Shurly Ye are the men and wisdom will die with you. Of course when your kid get hooked on porn and ruins his life, you can tell him it could be worse, at least your not catholic or using the wrong bible.
Whatever. Just look at who sponsored the study, a bunch of religious wack jobs. What did you think they were going to find, that it's perfectly fine? Please! This is almost a convincing as an Al Gore study that finds there's been global warming.
The article doesn't link that I can find to the actual study (hello, Christian Post, it's the internet, there are hyperlinks - ever heard of them?) and SermonAudio didn't either. I know people will want to get this, like Pastor Hammack who is doing a series on this topic.
