White House: 'War on terrorism' is over
It's official. The U.S. is no longer engaged in a "war on terrorism." Neither is it fighting "jihadists" or in a "global war."

President Obama's top homeland security and counterterrorism official took all three terms off the table of acceptable words inside the White House during a speech Thursday at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington think tank.

"The President does not describe this as a 'war on terrorism,'" said John Brennan, head of the White House homeland security office, who outlined a "new way of seeing" the fight against terrorism. ...

On changing the name from "war on terrorism" to "war against Al-Quaeda": a rose by any other name is still a rose.... As one of those in the article states, "the change is merely cosmetic."

The new president obviously has no experience whatsoever as a warrior, nor does most, if any, of his cabinet. This administration knows nothing about the War against Terrorism. Barack is simply responding to the religion he was raised in as a child, and responding to the religion of his father.

People are starting to wake up to how crazy the Obama admin is. Bush may have been elitist and out of touch with the common man, but Obama has lost touch with reality. If we refuse to fight the terrorists and curl up into a ball, I'm sure they will just leave us alone. Give that same advice to your kid when he gets bullied on the playground and he will be coming home with bruises and empty pockets every day. We are only six months into this reign of socialism, so the people who voted him in will have to suffer until we get another chance to vote him out. I, on the other hand, will be enjoying my time in Taiwan, so long suckers!!! I wish I could dismiss everything that easily, but my family and friends are still going to be stuck here and I will hope and pray for the best in the US and A.

Not only is the war on terrorism not over but Obama and the White House have engaged in another type of war. And that war is a war on sanity because Obama and White House want to force their insanity onto everybody else. Everybody in Obama's administration is insane and psychotic.

Very interesting. So, Mr. Obama, just who are these people and groups that would like to reduce us to a pile of ashes and will never stop trying? As soon as you return from your latest fantasy I would like an answer. Meanwhile, I'll listen to what our military has to say.

Maybe, just maybe, Al-CIAda never existed as a threat. It was a bugbear--useful boogeyman-- all along.

This is typical when so-called party 'changes' occur. One fights in the cloke of aggressive fascism (the re-pubic-heads) and when that has run its course, the other strongly proposes socialism in all its gentle glory (the dump-oh-craps).

Strange how both Huxley AND ORWELL were right. We seem to have both kinds of apocalyptic scenarios occuring in the U.S. of A (the Undiscerning Sheep of Armageddon) at the same time. No wonder many (but not all) people are confused.

Hmmm, maybe now they will focus on, Top ten reasons why Islam is not the religion of peace. I would wonder if Daniel Pipes still holds this view? Aim the War on Terror at Militant Islam, he did write this however, Failing to Find Moderate Muslims at the "Progressive Muslim Union".

Gobbledegook. Terrorists are bred in an environment of hate and false religion.

"He was specific about ways in which Mr. Obama believes words influence the way America prosecutes the fight against terrorism."

I would assume this is the same way words influence the way the administration prosecutes the war on America?
