Archbishop of Canterbury concerned at US approval of more gay bishops
Dr Rowan Williams had travelled to America last week to urge liberal clergy there not to do anything that would jeopardise the fragile unity of the Anglican Communion.
But clergy and lay members of the Episcopal Church of the USA have now effectively agreed to overturn a ban on homosexual bishops that was imposed to stop the 80 million-strong global church breaking apart.
Anglicanism has been edging towards schism since 2003 when the Episcopal Church of the USA, the national church in North America, ordained the Rt Rev Gene Robinson, who is openly homosexual, as Bishop of New Hampshire in defiance of tradition and Biblical teaching....
Yep, Williams is more concerned in maintaining unity than maintaining truth. Unity not built on Christ is not unity. Williams has failed miserably as pastor, he has failed to keep the wolves sneaking in amongst the flock, they don't even disquise themselves anymore, they know they have the upper hand, the world is on their side, the media is on their side. They will not be happy until they have a lesbian as Archbishop. I was raised an Anglican but could no longer remain. I thank God for taking me to a humble baptist congregation, calvinist to its core, congregationalist, we are only answerable to Christ and to each other.
Trouble is Max, that Rowan Williams is just as guilty being a devout Liberal instead of a Christian. But the real Christians in this country all know who the western world is going to listen to. And it isn't Jesus.
Isa 3:9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
