LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Southern Baptists are facing a membership decline that could shrink the nation's largest Protestant denomination by nearly half in 40 years, its convention president said this week.
The Rev. Johnny Hunt, a megachurch pastor from Woodstock, Ga., told convention members gathered in Louisville that Southern Baptists need to give more to worldwide missions and attract minorities.
"I really do believe we need a revival," Hunt said in a 45-minute address that kicked off the two-day convention....
I guess that's something all of us should ponder !!! --- Just what does TRUE REVIVAL look like? and what will it mean for the Chuch and for America?
Could it be that we've lost the vision of TRUE REVIVAL --- REVIVAL that happens within the hearts of individuals and is taken into the culture at large with lives being lived in the TRUE FEAR OF THE LORD?
We as a people must find our voices and stand together with one voice that we might turn this nation back to a sound and principled path of moral uprightness !!!
We must never forget that we are all members of this society and we must make a stand for that wich is BEST FOR OUR OWN SAFTY AND HAPPINESS (**AND FOR THAT OF POSTERITY**) --- our Forfathers were of such a mind as this ------- if our Founding Father were here today they would give their lives and all their earthly possessions to protect the SOCIAL FABRIC OF AMERICA !!!
We must have the TRUE MORALITY that's set forth within the dictates of the Christian Faith --- the very same Faith upon which this Republic was founded and built upon --- for without the HIGHER MORAL LAW OF GOD America will fall to the dictates of demented men and their lawless ways.
I am astonished and blush for the racial divisions: "Therewith (the tongue) bless we God, even the Father; and therewith we curse MEN, which are MADE AFTER THE SIMILITUDE OF GOD."
The Churches could be as central as a Solomon's Porch away from Jerusalem: yet, the assembling of ourselves is broken up. We haply find ourselves fighting against God in that we burden others, and do not proclaim liberty every man to his brother, neighbor, and strangers, until a year of release becomes the decree. People held up at work need to assemble on a DAILY basis, as the early Church daily added such as should be saved, and broke bread from house to house, who had not ought of their own so there was not overmuch or lack. There needs to be seasons of ingathering, such as the feast weeks, when the males present as one man in the place the Lord has chosen, for reading the word of God one-fourth of the day, and a fourth part for confessing and worshipping, and the rest we may be led by the Holy Ghost for maintaining and building the temple which we are. Turn the excess off and ration resources, in order to dwell in tents and booths, so every man find his corner and his circle of brethren (as Jesus and the twelve). The sabbath year shall be meat for the land, man, and beast! limit too tight
Titus 1:5-9 None of this, "I can have a church at home" nonsense!

There is no distinction of a clergy class, they are not better, they do not have more privileges or better access to God. It simply means that there is order in God's household. These qualifications should be true of every believer.

I appreciate these posts. Wow! Have we, born again of the Spirit children of God, ever been wounded by religion and religious experts and their manipulations.
My 15 year old daughter had the privilege of going on a mission trip to Washington DC. She (and adults too) were amazed to find people open to the gospel (despite some who were quite rude (hostile?) like a Muslim my daughter and a young man spoke briefly to), some who had never really heard of Jesus Christ being the Son of God who died for their sins, was buried and rose again and that He alone could save them.
They went door to door giving out gospel tracts, talking with people and witnessing in the neighborhood of the church they were working with and they told me 52 people came to salvation.
Seeing the weeks of prayer and preparation (training and Bible memorization) and the finances that needed to be raised I have to think it was so very much worth all of that for those saved and with people being saved will not our churches grow and not decline?

That includes: Arminian, Calvinism, Dispy's, Amil's, Preterists, Post-mils, KJVO's, non-KJVO's, for government, against government, etc.
God put NO MAN in charge of any congregation. If any man says, "submit to me," turn away. He is a false prophet!
There is NO SUCH THING as a:
Church leader nor a Senior Pastor.
Study your history of church administration and you will see that these so-called titles were placed as a convention--not as prophetic destination.
Most churches operate like a pseudo-CULT! That's right, I said it, and I'll say it AGAIN...most churches are pseudo-cults!
If any man says, tithe or have God curse your 90%, tell him (or her): "Unless you are in prison for your testimony, I WILL NOT GIVE MY MONEY TO YOU...YOU ARE NOT ABOVE ME, NOR MY FAMILY, NOR GOD'S WORD. You lying SCUM!"
