DAVIS, Calif. - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says it's time for a debate on whether to legalize and tax marijuana ‚ÄĒ though he says he's not supporting the idea.
The Republican governor, whose term in office expires at the end of next year, was asked about the idea of treating pot like alcohol at an appearance in northern California on Tuesday.
"No, I don't think it's time for that, but I think it's time for a debate," he said. "And I think we ought to study very carefully what other countries are doing that have legalized marijuana and other drugs, what effect it had on those countries, and are they happy with that decision."...
I for one believe that cannabis is the tree of life, and a necessary ingredient in the recipe for the healing the nations, according to ALL the Scriptures, so to effectively promote charity, faith, hope, peace, and goodwill towards all men.
Arnold must have dropped a dumbbell on his head. Any one knows if you put a mind altering substances in the body it's a formula for disaster. I guess he forgot about all those steriods he was using during the 70's and the effect they had on him.
Looks like Charles Lynch, who was convicted by the DEA for operating a legal (in CA) medical pot dispensary, may get a pardon: ]]DEA to end medical marijuana raids
I think the overzealous Bush admin. erred in effectively nullifying a State law.
