Study: many pastors say global warming not man-made
Though many people insist global warming is real and man-made, Protestant pastors aren't entirely convinced, according to a new study from LifeWay Research.

The telephone survey of 1,002 randomly selected Protestant pastors, conducted in October 2008, discovered that pastors are evenly split about whether global warming is real and man-made. It also found that views of pastors vary widely by denomination, location and even the individual pastor's ideologies.

Asked to indicate their level of agreement with the statement, "I believe global warming is real and man-made," pastors split down the middle: 47 percent agree either strongly or somewhat, while 47 percent disagree either strongly or somewhat. The remainder indicate "don't know." ...

These statistics are misleading.
I believe it is man made aka not by me using a washing machine or others driving a car.
It is literally man made.
It is the desire of the world leaders to have another panic button on their dash board of population control techniques, like terrorism ( as this one seems a little thin unlike the iron curtain which achieved it's aims).
Socialist politics is green.
I am all for being responsible but this is all leading to Thomas Aquinas' ide of rights, responsibilities, needs and the like.
This of course will then create by default Roman Catholic Theology on law and order, punishment and persecution but through a cicil authority without having to make it clear that it is in the name of God.

This truth will be communicated to HIS Preachers - NOT to scientists!

Make sure you are listening to the godly servant otherwise you might miss the big finish!

Truth is not determined by polls, either of pastors or scientists.

Until scientists can escape the logical flaws inherent in the scientific method, they have nothing true to report, only hypotheses.

people.....you need to watch a video called "Global Warming or Global Governance"

it's a real expose of the total con game we are being constantly fed

there is another video with evidence that the whole scam was invented in 1961,with a view to it coming to a head in around 40 years when people would be so gullible to listen to the idiot that is Al Gore

Underground Christian Network also has a teaching audio about this

make yourselves aware

I think that one big reason this global warming propoganda is being taught as undeniable truth from some of the scientific community is the agenda behind the hype.

It has already been seen in news releases, commentaries etc. They believe there are too many people on the earth, and this causes global warming, and THIS is their way to bring about more mandatory population control. We see it in effect in China where there is a one-child-only policy.

Look for this policy to be called for in other countries as well, in order to "slow global warming".

Maybe we should all just stop exhaling.

Not long ago I heard of an effort to have CO2 declared as a pollutant, in order to obtain greater government control over this substance in an attempt to curb "climate change".

What will these modern, "brilliant", "post-Bronze-age" people think of next?

I'm glad you came to that conclusion, Another Jeff. To consider that God causes man to sin for God's good pleasure would be turning God himself into a sinner.

The whole world isn't...but the politically motivated are, with support from researchers wanting continued funding, and a nervous, gullible public. You think it not possible that problems might be invented in order that solutions may be found? The desperation is caused by the knowledge that the global warming theory is based on computer models, which argue with real measurement data. The fear of less control or less funding, depending on the motivation, is cause enough for desperation. Global warming will be found to be unscientific speculation at best, thus its useful life is limited. I wouldn't be surprised if before long, we start hearing about "global cooling" or predictions of "a new ice age," as we did in the 70's. Today's global warming pushers deny there was a 70's global cooling theory by science.(What would you expect, much is at stake and I don't mean the climate) But some of us have long memories and read the articles back then. Gotta save the planet somehow, no matter how creative we have to be in order to show it needs it, apparently.

As long as you remember that pollution has been around as long as man has, then there is no harm in speculation about weather change and/or pollution effect.

I guess the question I keep asking myself is:
Does Man sin of his own choice and "freewill", or does God cause man to sin for God's good pleasure and freewill?

I believe the earth will be destroyed by God, for the reason of sin. And I believe Man does sin by his own choice.

Revelation 11:18 (KJV) And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

As for "chem trails", the question was a question, but I believe wikipedia as much as I believe Atheists and Scientist who say man does not sin, but it's this little section of the brain and DNA... bla bla bla.

Just watch those things (supposed chem trails)for a while and see what you see.

I have some very hard to explain away photographs I took myself of both things (chem trails and ocean alkaline buildup caused by global warming or pollution up the Pacific coast in the US) that are setting my opinion on the matter, and I am still investigating.

nevertheless Jeff, there is no objective proof that this is the case 'evidence' can be interpreted any way one likes

we do have good evidence that the earts climate is a 'second order system' google images for this. with the initial catastrophe - the flood and the climate steadily stabilising since, with the fluctuations becoming more minor one thousand years ago the climate was much hotter than today we have written accounts and agricultural evidence of this

natural processes produce much more CO2 than human, volcanic eruptions for instance

Isaiah 24:4-6 (KJV)4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.........

What exactly are those "chem trail" things anyway you hear so much about?

Isaiah 24 begins with
1 "Behold, *THE LORD MAKETH* the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, ............

3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word."

Therefore it is GOD's judgment/action on the sin of man - not man's judgment on man.
If anything in these verses the culprit is sin - which clearly has been operating for a lot longer than the last oil fueled etc... century.

Chem trails???........

I beleive the Bible teaches it is man made problem and God will destroy all the earth.

Isaiah 24:4-6 (KJV)4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. 5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

Global warming ie weather change is a fact but also it is a natural fact. Nature is the cyclical cause of this weather change.

As for man's input into this weather change? To suggest it is "man made" - that is man's responsible for the cyclical changes of weather patterns over the centuries, well that is about as ludicrous as man being responsible for his own salvation.

As for this being some kind of a "sign of the times" :-
Matt 12:39 ....An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

Well, I certainly don't. If there are any "signs of the times", they're in the collapsing population bases of Europe, Japan, and other advanced countries.
