Citing President Barack Obama's recent remarks in Turkey that the U.S. is not a Christian nation, the newly named president of Moody Bible Institute cautioned students and faculty on Wednesday that the country faces a crisis of faith if the bastion of evangelical Christian education does not uphold its mission of training disciples to spread the gospel.
Rev. Paul Nyquist, 55, now president and CEO of Avant Ministries based in Kansas City, Mo., was greeted with cheers, applause and prayer during a chapel service on Wednesday on Chicago's Near North Side where he was introduced as Moody's ninth president.
"To pick up the presidential mantle from the gifted men who have preceded me is the greatest honor I have ever received," he said....

When Br./Dr. Jack Frasure Hyles Founded Hyles-Anderson (Independent-Fundamentalist Baptist Bible) College in CrownPoint IN; He Established It As A MINISTRY Of The First Baptist Church of Hammond, IN. This Authorized Holy Bible College Ultimately Answers To The "Local" First Baptist Church, Hammond, IN. Not The Other Way Around.
If ALL Authorized Holy Bible Colleges & Universities Were Founded & Established As Such; This would Definitely Be A Guard Against Apostasy.
Albeit, If The Founding/Establishing Church or Churches Apostacize; So Do Their Colleges or Universities.
Br./Professor John Barrier has shared with me how; when hearing that MBI was "Squeezing" Br. Barrier, via The "Highly Placed Covert 'Jesuits' @ Moody": Br./Dr. Jack Hyles offered Him a Professorship @ Hyles-Anderson College in 1972.
Br. Barrier Declined; as GOD sent Him To Suriname as a Missionary/Evangelist.
*He Lead The Roman "Catholic" Archbishop of Suriname To The TRUE Christ of The Authorized Holy Bible; As National Revival Followed: With Many Nuns', Priests' & Laymens' SALVATION !

I can't say too much for Rev. Nyquist's undergraduate school, but Dallas Theological Seminary still holds a fairly good reputation.
I have come to seriously doubt the usefulness of universities / colleges / Bible institutes for the training of men to preach and teach. They all eventually apostasize, it seems. Can't we trust that the Lord will provide for the training of the next generation within the church, without creating all the expensive infrastructure and the hazardous permanent professoriates that such institutions inevitably create?
BTW, I thought that the 'N' on the Cornhuskers' helmets stands for 'Nollidge'...
CORRECTION: As far as Historic Authorized Biblical-Literalist Pre-Millenial/Pre-Tribulation-Rapture Dispensationalist, Fundamentalist Catholic (NOT Roman-"Catholic"-Cultic Satanic-Vaticanist) & "Protestant" Judeo-Christians are concerned, WE ALL Hope & Pray That The New Administration @ The Moody Bible Institute Will Live Up To and/or Exceed The Old Authorized Holy Bible One(s) Like:
The Satanic-Vaticanist/Roman-"Catholic"-Cultic "Jesuitic" Lead (Covert-Ecumenical-NWO-"Religious") Apostasy of The Moody Bible Institute Technically Was Conceived During The Early '70s--YES, During The Early Admin. of MBI Pres. George Sweeting (The LAST Byzantine-Manuscript/Textus-Receptus "Authorized-King-James-Bible-Only" Trusting MBI Pres.) !
The MBI APOSTASY was Covertly Brought In, Believe it or NOT; Through "Jesuit"-Backed Pseudo-Fundamentalist "Evangelist" Jack Van Impe: When He Was A Deceptively "Forced" MBI Founder's Week "Speaker" in The Early '70s !
I Have Personal Knowledge Of This FACT Via My Personal Friend, Councelor & Confidant: Rev. John Barrier; MBI Prof. Practical Christian Work/Ministry/Evangelism (1963-1973), Wheaton Div. Maj/Grad: Who Sceduled Revivalist Dr. Jack Hyles @ MBI during the '60s !
As far as Dispensationalists are concerned, we hope the ne adminstration does better than the old one, ]]"this is our “Back to School Issue" 2003.
