Bishop orders Episcopal priest to renounce Islamic faith
An Episcopal priest in Seattle is fighting attempts by Rhode Island Episcopal Bishop Geralyn Wolf to defrock her for practicing Islam and Christianity at the same time.

Ann Holmes Redding, who marks the 25th anniversary of her ordination on March 25, says she believes she can practice both faiths and should not have to recant her Muslim beliefs.

Is that about right, *John Yurich USA*?
No it is not ok for a former Buddhist or Hindu or Muslim or anybody else who was a member of a Cult that denies the Deity Of Jesus and the Holy Trinity to continue worshipping at the Cult's building after becoming saved in Jesus because when one becomes saved in Jesus they are supposed to start worshipping Jesus at a church that acknolwedges the Deity Of Jesus and the Holy Trinity. And it is not ok for someone who is Born Again to not worship nowhere in particular. As important as attending church is, it is still totally superfluous to gaining entrance into Heaven because nowhere in the Bible is church membership equated with salvation. Jesus only requires for entraance into Heaven that everybody receive Him as their Savior.

Ah, many good responses to your defending the indefensible JY. You are not to be associated with idolatrous worship, as this article points out, ]]Come out of the Catholic Church. In other words, John, do you absolutely refuse to participate in the Mass, which the above article points out you can't be associated with, if you are a Christian?

This is the church which you MUST be a member of.
1Cor 3:16 "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are."

Note That
Acts 17:24 "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands"

But it is a very exclusive church
Note
1Pet 4:18 "And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?"
Luke 13:24 "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able."

Thing is John, How do you ensure you have got into the true church?
Well the recommended formula is
43 "For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes"

And you have said yourself that the RCC does HERESY

Yes, God could be working in some individuals in these 'Ladiocean' churches, but the ones which can hear, God will call them out. They just cannot stay. They cannot.
You know as well as I do that CHURCH MEMBERSHIP IS TOTALLY SUPERFLUOUS TO GAINING ENTRANCE INTO HEAVEN. And you know as well as I do that NOWHERE IN THE BIBLE IS CHURCH MEMBERSHIP EQUATED WITH SALVATION. And thus why do you state that the Holy Spirit wants individuals who become Born Again to leave the Catholic Church, Eastern Orthodox Church and Mainline Protestant Churches and align themselves with some type of Evangelical Protestant Church? The Holy Spirit would not violate the Bible and the Bible does not state that church membership has anything to do with salvation and gaining entrance into Heaven.

She's Episcopalian.

Quite aside from the fact that she never should have been in a preaching position in the church in the first place, it is sad and frustrating that this pathetic excuse for faith is what is being presented to the unbelieving world as Christianity.

Islam denies that Jesus was or is the Son of God, it is a serious blasphemy in Islam to suggest God has a son, while Christianity affirms that He is the everlasting Son of God and Saviour of man.

How this woman can reconcile these two views is beyond me. It is disgusting that she shoould be in a position to "teach" and deceive the flock of God.

Truly a wolf in sheep's clothing.

But then again, what do we expect from churches that have abandoned God and replaced him with humanism and moral relativism?

There is plenty wrong with the Episcopalian Church, because it is too much like the Catholic Church for one thing, It sets their magisterium, tradition, with at least equal or higher footing with the Bible, and of course that is the ]]The Doctrine of Apostates.

]]Women Preachers is yet another error.

Well, other than the historical reality that episcopal church government invariably leads to the exaltation of man, the misinterpretation of scripture to justify the abuses of those who are elevated above what scripture teaches about the office, and inevitable apostasy (Roman Catholics, Anglicans, Episcopalians, et al.), no, there's nothing wrong with it....

"....defrock her for practicing Islam and Christianity at the same time."

This illustrates the fact that these Liberals just dont know the Truth, doctrine or law of God in Scripture.
Clearly she does not know Christ since she disobeyed Him entering the pupit against Holy Law. But she does not know her Saviour either.
Their Gospel has gone from worship of God to helping the social circumstances of man.
Thus her idolatry is manifest in her actions.

It's actually worse than that: the one wishing to defrock the other is herself unqualified to be a bishop, since she's a female. (And that's setting aside the entire argument against episcopal government as practiced by the Episcopalians / Anglicans, Roman Catholics, certain segments of the pentecostal / charismatic movement, et al.)
It's the blind leading the blind, with both ending up in the ditch. I think we should pray for those trapped in these false systems, that God would give them eyes to see and ears to hear.

What is with that stupid dame Episcopal priest that she thinks that she can be both an Episcopalian and a Muslim? It is impossible because Christianity and Islam are diametrically opposed to one another. It is good that the Rhode Island Episcopal Bishop wants to defrock her. She should not have been able to be ordained an Episcopal priest in the first place since the Bible prohibts women from being ordained to the clergy.
