World gets its first openly 'gay' leader

Johanna Sigurdardottir is Iceland's new Prime Minister

The first government collapse of the global economic crisis is about to yield the world's first openly-gay leader. Johanna Sigurdardottir, a former air hostess, is expected to be sworn in as Iceland's Prime Minister by the end of the week.

Her moment in the international spotlight comes at the most horrendous moment in her nation's recent history. As the global meltdown began, the collapse of Iceland's grossly over-leveraged economy was followed smartly by the implosion of its banks and currency. Now its government has gone the same way, the first to succumb to the backwash from the crisis. ...

Klaus Wowereit, mayor of Berlin since 2001, is openly gay. Iceland has a population of 320,000 and Berlin more than 10 times that (3.4 million). Ms. Sigurdardottir is neither the first, nor will she be the last. Some suggest that a coming king will be given over to vile affections (Romans 1:26-27), since he will not regard "the desire of women" (Daniel 11:37). That probably rules Antiochus out. He was vile, but not in this sense.

The Apostles had respect for Nero? Maybe you need to define what you mean by respect.

Will they also claim Sodom and Gomorrah as theirs too?

Nero (despite his otherwise bad reputation) I'm not sure about, but Hadrian did have a Greek boyfriend. So did Alexander the Great.

But we have to be careful because the LGBT crowd (& their academic sympathizers) loves to find "ancestors" among the dead & famous, as if to validate their lifestyle. Some claim David & Jonathan were lovers, but these folks are reading modern prejudices about male relationships into the text.

May God's love, wisdom and truth permeate all of our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus our Lord!

Was The Emperor Nero open? Of course with him, I think it was more child abuse wasn't it?

May Johanna Sigurdardottir have a "Road to Damascus experience", may she "taste and see that The Lord is good"! May she embrace The Lord Jesus and that it turn into a public witness of the changing power of God, and His saving grace!

1 Timothy 2:1-3 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

With God all things are possible!

"the world's first openly-gay leader"

A bold statement, which any diligent student of ancient history could question. Ancient Greeks made no secret of their pederasty.

""Saint Johanna", as she has come to be known, has been propelled from the social affairs ministry – which she has presided over for a decade – to take centre stage in a choice hailed as "unexpected but brilliant"."

From social affairs to PM?
Good politics?
They obviously don't know what a saint is.

As for her sexual fiction?
It's in company with the worst possible end.

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
