Dutch Gay Group Plans 'Pink Christmas' With Two Josephs, Two Marys
AMSTERDAM, Netherlands — A Dutch gay group said Monday it has planned a "Pink Christmas" festival for the first time in Amsterdam, featuring a manger stall with two Josephs and two Marys.

Other attractions in the 10-day festival include parties, an open-air market, gay-themed films, an ice skating rink and religious services on Dec. 25.

ProGay group chairman Frank van Dalen said Monday the event is intended to increase the choices for homosexual men and women during the Christmas holiday week.

"Right now, there's not much to do," he said. ...

He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.” (Romans 14:5-6)
To celebrate or not to celebrate is a matter of one's own conscience.
Too true, Bill, and I do not disagree with you about that. But it is not quite so simple, is it?

What passes off as 'celebrating' the incarnation of God is not, in my opinion, 'celebration'. Analyse it for yourself, and see what transpires on the 'glory day'. And why, if the Lord takes delight in his people 'celebrating' his birthday, do they not 'celebrate' it ON his birthday, instead of following pagan and Roman Catholic tradition?

And while I'm at it: why do the majority of churches have such a short, unedifying service on the 'day'? Why must folk go all gooey, and act out of character? And why be all nicey-nicey on the 'day' when for the rest of the year they behave totally differently. You, excepted.

Is God really in Christmas and as one of the comments stated. The best thing we can do is not fight over manger and nativity scenes. Just stop having them. Stop pretending that we are celebrating Christ by buying gifts and being used to prop up deparment stores sales for the season. What would happend if all the Christians celebrated on a day in the middle of the week in June and used vacation time etc. This would really show satan we meant business. But as it stands we look ignorant celebrating winter solitce. Personally, I have Christmas daily everyday that I pray, read my bible, study the doctrines and witness to others I am celebrating Christmas daily.

it's a pagan festival masquerading as Christian anyway,so the pagan homos can do what they want with it.....
I always find it a source of amusement to listen to people asking that "Christ be put back into Christmas" when he was never in it in the first place!!
What have Christians to do with observing a pagan midwinter festival anyway??
I agree! Well said.

Heed GOD's warning or burn!!

Matt 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

2Peter 2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

It amazes me the lengths unrepentent sinners go to to celebrate Christmas. I live in a close of about twenty houses the majority are lit up like the Las Vegas strip.

This Dutch case is another example of unrepentent sodomites hijacking the Christmas story and corrupting its wonderful narrative.

Why would unbelievers want to celebrate & retell the story of the birth of a saviour that they mock and reject through the way they live?

I think the answer quite simply is to mock and ridicule, to steal what is not theirs. If they only realised that using statues is in itself sinful and a transgression against God's Law.

Make no graven image!

How is it possible that only a century ago, Abraham Kuyer was Prime Minister of the Netherlands, and as a Theologian, his ruling passion was that "God's holy ordinances be established in the home, in the school and in the State for the good of the people; to carve as it were into the conscience of the nation the ordinances of the Lord, to which Bible and Creation bear witness, until the nation pays homage again to God."

How far the Dutch (my heritage) have spiralled down since Kuyper.
