Parental Recession: Cutting Back on Day Care
Parents nationwide are telling day care providers they must scale back or abandon their services. Instead, they keep kids at home with grandparents or upend their work-life balance because gas and food prices have become prohibitive and average child care costs outpace rent and mortgage payments--even for those drawing salaries.

"I was paying more in day care than I was making in work," Meredith Hartigan, a Rockford single mother of two, said in explaining her decision to pull her 4-year-old daughter out of day care in August and switch to working nights and weekends. ...

With all communist nations, the state becomes the nanny. Obama is more than willing to help alleviate the daycare dilemna.Christians would be wise to pay close attention, and get hold of the reins of their families. If you won't do the job of parenting your children, Obama would be happy to do it for you.

You're right, Neil. The church gets rid of their children at every turn (daycare, segregated Sunday school, public/private school, and yes, even abortion). You're right; "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

Thanks for snapping me back to reality...and the truth!! We need to repent...always repent and reform.

Note that numerous churches of all stripes offer daycare services. Before reflexively critiquing secular culture, examine the church first.

BTW, the upper classes have long delegated child-rearing to nannies & boarding-schools. Winston Churchill was closer to his nanny than to his mother during his childhood. But we must understand, Jennie had more important wifely duties like partying & sleeping around to help Lord Randolph get ahead.

The article says, "'We just had two (children) in the last week, we were told they are now staying home with grandma until 'things get better,'" she added. "It's not getting better.'"
"'We are driving people into an unregulated system,'" said Peggy Liuzzi, executive director of Child Care Solutions, a resource and referral agency in Syracuse, N.Y."

God forbid grandmas, or better yet parents, watch their own children and raise them totally unregulated!! It will lead to anarchy! Our children must be saved from their ignorant parents!

We're being set up for mandatory, cradle to grave child care in this new Obama Nation. It's coming soon to a neighborhood near you!!

I'm sorry. I know we should be praying for our leaders; I'm just really sick of these kind of attitudes!

"Day Care" Definition - Paying someone else to replace the responsibility of motherhood.
Reason - To worship the god of mammon!!

This all started with contraception and women wearing trousers.

Local community college sent me a mailing yesterday saying the one thing that people won't cut back on in a recession is daycare.
