A sign outside a church in Kalispell causes a stir
A sign outside a church in Kalispell is causing a stir. It says, "USA...One Abomination Under God." Causing many to bring up the idea of separation of church and state. A pastor in Kalispell says he has good reason for putting a sign up outside his church Wednesday. It says "USA...One Abomination Under God." Now, he didn't spell "abomination" the smae as "Obama-Nation," but it is his reaction to the election.

"As long as we still have free speech, we need to use it, to tell people that the nation is going in the wrong direction," Pastor Clint Theline said. Theline says voting Obama for president brings abomination to America, like more support for abortion, homosexuality, and more secular conversation in schools.

"God never calls us to unite with the wicked, so this is what's happening in America," Theline said.

"Are you saying Obama's wicked?" Reporter asks. "I'm saying that the left is," ...

Born Again

I've listened to a number of Pastor Slattery's messages and they have been great to hear someone willing take on issues that most churches will not even consider.
I never seen the website before though. Thanks for putting up the link.

Why is Rev.Wright running around giving hate speaches but Bro. Hovind is in jail? I'll tell you why, we are so close to the Lords return, Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter. Churches do not put their faith in Christ and keep Him the head of the church. Go to to fellowship with believers who put Christ at the head of their church, amen! And pray for those that are standing in the gap!

The message coming from both the US and the UK these days and especially as those with a Liberal agenda take high office is that the church of Jesus Christ needs to arise and Contend for the faith in the Publio Square. Jude v 3 Galatians 5 v 1 Psalm 118 v 8

Romans 13:
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

"Theline says voting Obama for president brings abomination to America, like more support for abortion, homosexuality, and more secular conversation in schools."

No problem because we are taught

2 Tim 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

So McCain was getting rid of abortion totally?

I think someone places social issues above spiritual ones.

Until the Church is converted, you won't be pulling the country back from oblivion. That goes for Australia too.

See as anti abortion as I am single issue politics is the worst way to vote.

If politics is so simple in the US then why does it take so long to make a decision who runs you for 4 years?

I like what Wise said because at least one person was looking for an alternative to tacking left tacking right to the New World Order Objective.

The time is coming and maybe now is when true Christians will be forced to stand up and be counted. There is no freedom of speech in the USA,try exercising your rights now in some places as we here do in the UK and you will soon find that out.Speak the truth IN LOVE.Remember we are ALL sinners,no one is perfect. However when pulpits fail to stand for what is clearly defined in God's word, and individuals fail we can expect nothing but judgment and remember judgment FIRST begins at the house of God.Read your bibles Christians, act in love always. It is written "The Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whomsoever HE will" the powers that be are ordained of God,whether a good or evil ruler God puts/allows them to be in power and can as quickly take them out of power if He so wills. That ALL may know THERE IS A God in heaven as Daniel stated, time we got back to the word and follow first and foremost The Lord.If God be Baal or anyone else follow him,or if THE LORD follow Him,USA WE HAVE OUR CHOICE,that is the most important question, this sign is to make us think, something we all clearly lack today,it is time to seek the Lord.

The candidate was Alan Keyes. The only person running who truly ran as a Godly driven man. As Christians we are stuck thinking we have to have a relationship to the Republican party. The Christians should think like this. First I am child of God, second I am conservative because following the Bible automatically makes you if you are truly saved, third I am a citizen of the USA and afforded all the rights. I coach and I like to use a sports analogy when witnessing it goes like this. There are two play books in this world. God's and satan's. If you are on God's team you can't use satan's play book. And the converse can be said if you are on satan's team you can't use God's play book. You have to be on one team or another. If God's play book say's homosexuality is an abomination then that's your play and you run that play. And the opposite is true. If satan's play book say's pornography is good for you and lowering the age of consent for sexual intercours is a good thing then that's the play you run. So the pastor is only running the plays he knows. My prayer is that God is seperating the wheat from the chaff and set apart his people from persecution.

Considerthelilies4 I will leave in your hands what I have already said. I do not wish to harp on speaking more than I should.

Faithful Remnant there is much I could inform you regarding Hillsong. My Aunt and Uncle go there as does and old friend (who isn't).

There things though that I would not say on a public forum for broadcasting the sins of others in a very uncompassionate inconsiderate manner though it may deserve exposing.

I would rather write privately in a email such things and find it relevant to do so with someone curious about Hillsong.

Publicly though I will say they preach humanism and psychology, and run a business development school. It is the proverbial rock concert that gets the numbers.

It a worry to see this church influencing almost all churches in Australia. Be they Baptist, Pentecostal (which they are), Anglican (Church of England), some presbyterian, Salvation Army etc.

It is like a spreading cancer.

There were not a lot of "organizations" in Bible times. Does not Ahab and his group of wicked counselors (such as Jezebel) count as an organization? Pastor Theline is an "individual". He is one individual speaking against another individual who is doing wrong.
It is possible to be praying for someone while at the same time to be speaking against the evil that they are doing. I agree that McCain is almost as corrupt. However, McCain does not support the sins of abortion or homosexuality.

Consider the lilies4

1) You have listed individuals like Elijah and John which is my point, please provide an organization that spoke out against the political leaders of their day. Oh the Sanhedrin. The Jews organizing against the Romans? The ones Jesus was against?

2)When Jesus spoke about "vipers" he was speaking about the religious leaders. Funny, has you minister ever placed a similar board up like the one for Obama relating to the general populace or even more importantly the church. If not, why not?

When it came to the "rulers", which we are told in scripture to pray for, Jesus did not speak publicly against them. Neither did Paul. He spoke to them privately and what he spoke about is only hinted at. This is because Gods kingdom is not of this world.

If McCain got in would he have put up a similar board, since they are both as corrupt and stepped in the secret societies, Skull and Bones, Illuminati, Freemasonry, aka Jesuits, aka Vatican.

TT thank you for that a 501c3 state endorsed church that's precious.

The article says, "Opinions aside, the church could find itself in trouble with the I.R.S. It's a tax exempt organization, and the Montana Department of Revenue says under that exemption, there are rules that say an exempt organization cannot engage in political campaigns or endorse candidates."

That's funny. President-elect Barack Hussein Obama is the poster boy for Planned Parenthood. Anyone hear of their non-profit status even being questioned, must less threatened? I guess the killing of millions of black babies and the targeting of (preying upon) black women for abortions is not rascist either. If that's not calling good evil and evil good, I don't know what is!!

God have mercy on us!!

"USA...One Abomination Under God." ??? --- Oh yes, And the Obamination butcher to lead America slaughterously further into the abortion abyss ... taking America farther down the slippery slope that has as its reward THE WRATH OF GOD !!! --

Americans that voted for Barack Hussein Obama have elected a man they know nothing about !!! -- They are about to come to the harsh realization that they put their hope and trust in a man that is the sum total of his whole campaign, "JUST WORDS" !!!

Far too many overlook the danger he poses ----- he is going to have access to highly sensitive information and the question must be asked --- Just who will this anti-American FREEDOM killing pig place in key positions? -- and of those who will gain admittance to top secret information? -- and who will he and his cronies share this info with ??? Hmmm -- Think it out !!!

Nathan, the church is made up of Christians. It is the christian's job to speak up against sin.
"Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels." Mark 8:38
It doesn't matter that it is a political leader who happens to be part of the evil. What about Elijah speaking against Ahab? Or John the Baptist who was beheaded because he spoke against Herod? There are hundreds of examples in the Bible of prophets and others who gave the truth without political correctness. Jesus did not "exercise far more restraint". He used the words "generation of vipers" and "evil and adulterous generation" in his preaching and he was hated for it.
"Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division" Luke 12:51
How is a bumper sticker with the slogan fine, but not a church sign? How is there a difference?
I wholeheartedly agree with you on the coffee issue. I don't understand why you brought that up, but I agree.

Thanks for the input about Hillsong, Nathan. The Hillsong choir was here not long ago. I did not get a good impression about them. Very ecumenical. The Vineyard church in my town is like this also, promoting the slogan "Come as you are, you'll be loved"(in the phone directory on bumper stickers). With such unscriptural language, at what point can the preacher say it is time to repent of sins without getting opposed by comfortable pew warmers?

Considerthelillies4 I cannot see how it is a churches responsibility to speak publicly for or against a political leader. That's how we end up with inquisitions.

As a bumper sticker the slogan is great, as sign outside a church, not acceptable. Jesus exercised far more restraint.
Jesus probably said things in private with His disciples but publicly he exercised restraint.

As to not giving a second glance for a positive sign about Obama, I would prove that theory very wrong.

Have you heard of Hillsong Church?

Well they own half of the Gloria Jeans Coffee shops in Australia. The Church down the road from me actually sell coffee out of the church premises.

That turns my eye, and I've told my children what an offense it is and some people that attend there too.

2000 years ago I could see some tables flying.

There are things a church should not do.
