Christians in Guerrero, Mexico Expelled from Homes
MEXICO CITY, ‚ÄúTraditionalist Catholics‚ÄĚ this week expelled 20 evangelical Christians from a town in Guerrero state and cut off the electricity and water supplies to eight Protestant families in Chiapas state, Christian sources said.
Authorities in Tenango Tepexi, Guerrero, on Monday (February 18) removed 20 Christians in three families, including 14 children, from their homes. Sources said the Christians were temporarily held in town offices, then loaded onto trucks and dumped on the edge of town.
Town leaders supportive of the ‚Äútraditionalist Catholics,‚ÄĚ who practice a blend of Catholic and native religion, told them they would be burned to death if they tried to return....
Please let it be known and understood , clearly and loudly, catholics are not christian, never ever have been , and never will be, until they are born again. John ch 3 verse 3-7.that is where it all starts. ".....you must be born again.."They are the words of the one true God , the Saviour of the world. The pope is the head of the worlds biggest cult. I repeat it openly, as my Lord and Saviour said to the religous pharisees of the day, that He had spoken openly and not in secret, "...I am the way ,the Truth and the life, no man comes to the Father, but by me..." We don`t need a pope to tell us what to do and what to believe, what we need to do only is to turn to the one true God , through His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, repent of our sin, and call on Him, to be born again and receive eternal life through Him alone. The catholic cult has never changed , wherever they can get away with it they have killed , and will always kill, and try to destroy true bible believing Faith based Christians. Maranatha , may the Lord come , quickly.
"These RC's have not expelled protestants they have expelled Jesus..."
Yes, I have heard the truth of the Gospel, but not from the poor, impoverised souls on SA as you might suppose. Remember the words of "your Savior"..."Where ever two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in their midst". Jesus is still amongst his Catholic people, though some of them in Mexico, don't appear to be listening.
GC - I am not going to debate it here as you have heard the truth of the gospel from countless posters on this site. I will state that Roman Catholics are not innocent as you state, they are sinners in need of salvation. These RC's have not expelled protestants they have expelled Jesus as all RC's do who hold to the papacy and sacraments for salvation.
Regarding your other examples I cannot speak to but to say that there are many who have claimed the name of Christ and are liars whose fruit bears witness to the fact that they are lost. I speak against this just as I speak against the lies of the papacy and "mother" rome.
Finally, shaking the dust off of one's feet is not hating one's neighbor, it is walking in Scriptural truth against those who reject the free offer of the gospel.
In Colonial America, differing religious groups, particularly the Puritans, but also the Anglicans, forced peoples of other faiths to pay taxes to support their Churches and passed laws to prevent freedom of religion. From time to time, Catholics Convents and Churches were burned down and Clergy were physically assaulted by supposed "Bible Believing Hooligans". Such practices by both sides are to be condemned as unchristian, but most especially these actions in Mexico, for the Faux-Christians who only pretend to follow Christ, will use this crime as an excuse to further antagonize innocent Catholics elsewhere. You can not love God and hate your neighbor.
A fine example of hardened hearts. To the brethren expelled I pray you shake the dust of Tenango Tepexi off your feet. "And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city." (Mark 6:11)
Same here, Wayne. For sure, we have problems enough with uneven civil justice in our country, but if ordinary Mexicans don't get a fair break there (a primary reason why they jump the border, IMHO), why should we as foreigners expect better? I think one has to live there to "get a clue" how to out-think bandits & corrupt authorities, & I for one am not particularly "street-smart" even in certain places here.
I find it astounding that wealthier Mexicans take the trouble to shop in Tucson to buy goods often made there! Note: they are usually not Mestizos, for I cannot tell they're Mexican until they speak or are near their cars.
Actually, there was an article in "Christian Today" Magazine almost exactly a year ago, about Protestant persecution in Mexico, q.v., ]]Evangelical Christians in Mexico Increasingly Persecuted by 'Traditional Catholics'.
More details about the persecution in Mexico and other countries of the world is detailed on the U.S. Secretary of State website. This is a very fine website and much appreciated.
This is not a case of christian persecution, but there is a Canadian woman who has been held in a Mexican jail for a long time without trial. She was apparently a cook in a house where someone else was suspected of involvement in white colar crime. Her case has been discussed on a number of television broadcasts in Canada and they had her on the phone today from her jail in Mexico, on a television broadcast from CTV (daily political broadcast from the Canadian Parliament buildings). She is suffering emotionally and near a breakdown, and her mother has a brain tumour and had one eye removed due to cancer. This is inhumane. Not a place I would ever go for a vacation.
