Bloomberg in ’08? If So, Paper Chase Starts Soon
In Colorado, all you need is $500 and you’re in. In Texas, you must gather 74,000 signatures from registered voters within 75 days — and none of them can have voted in the last party primaries.

In Oklahoma, it is more difficult: Your nomination papers must be signed by about 44,000 people — the equivalent of 3 percent of the votes cast in the last presidential election. And those collecting the names must be from Oklahoma.

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, eyeing an independent presidential bid, faces a hodgepodge of local requirements to get his name on the ballot in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The mayor’s aides are confident that he can do it, and that he would deploy armies of paid signature-gatherers nationwide if he runs. The foot soldiers are typically paid about $2 for every signature collected, though sometimes higher if their services are in heavy demand. ...

I should look around and see if the Trump organization ever complained about Bloomberg News mistreated them in the past?

Why waste the time? The notion that Bloomberg could run against Trump for president, yet Bloomberg News would be unbiased in its coverage is utterly ridiculous. We've already seen what the main stream media puts forth as "news," let alone Bloomberg News, which has a deeply vested interest.

Mike, a real Progressive, Bill Moyers, would have disagreed with you, at least in 2016. He certainly wasn't any fan of Bloomberg.
Brandon Fastman wrote:
I’d be remiss if I didn’t ask you what you make of the current presidential election. A lot of political commentators have made facile comparisons between Sanders and Trump as the “outsider” candidates addressing economic angst.
[Bill Moyers] Oh, man, how right you are. I’m just recovering from having read the news report today of Michael Bloomberg’s commencement address at the University of Michigan. He told a captive audience that in this presidential election “we’ve seen more demagoguery from both parties than I can remember in my lifetime.” Makes you wonder just where this man been all his life. Michael Bloomberg bought his first election as mayor with so much of his own pocket change that the leading contender, a really serious progressive, was drowned out. Now Bloomberg has the gall to lump into one category of castigation the “demonization of immigrants” and “the demonization of the wealthy.”
excerpt from, "Listening Closely with Bill Moyers"

I certainly don't agree of everything Moyer says, and I think Michael Bloomberg might be a compassionate plutocrat.

Have to disagree, Jim. He's a liberal. They have feelings about what they think should happen, not informed decision-making abilities to make right and lawful things happen.

No, Mike the only time I really dislike the really rich are pastors who have made money off their work, and as such are peddling the Word---there a few of those who do preach the Word accurately, but still are multi-millionaires. However, I assume many of those get it wrong especially when it comes to money or nepotism. I think Billy Graham got it wrong on both counts. 👎

Actually, Bloomberg is a philanthropist. I can think of Republican multi-millionaires who just use their charity as a front. So, I have a lot more respect for Bloomberg 👍 than I do for a lot of Republican rich people.

He also has the actual ability to be President ❗

Michael would at least add one more sensible candidate to Democratic mix❗

Here I thought you didn't like the filthy rich. Rich libs are the worst of hypocrites, you know.

btw, Sanders is jealous because he's only a millionaire. A lesser hypocrite, but a hypocrite still.

...during this campaign cycle, Sanders and Warren have been particularly outspoken in their disdain for those with cash.

"I don't think billionaires should exist," Sanders said in September, when he proposed an aggressive tax on accumulated wealth, reaching beyond annual income.

Warren, who was among the first to propose a wealth tax, is more lenient about their existence, saying she didn't mind if they were around....

Although Bloomberg's wealth is vastly more than Trump's supposed few billions, Trump holds one enormous card over Bloomberg: name recognition.

Despite his position as mayor, his media empire and his philanthropy, Bloomberg is not a household name across the United States.

He has been out of the spotlight for much of this presidential race, focusing instead on climate change and a voter registration drive, and certainly does not have the political organisations that the front runners have set up in key primary states, as well as nationally....

One problem AVA, there is talk that he may want Senator Chucky (He's Back )Hagel as Vice-President, Nebraska's Representative for the Vatican to Congress. Until I heard that may be his pick, yes, I thought he may have had possibilities also. He would certainly have been a choice if the Republicans pick a Romney, Guiliani, or a Paul for Presidential candidate.

A Bloomberg in '08 Would Be An Excellent Presidential Aspiration!

Mr. Bloomberg has the Experience (Being Mayor of New York City Should Qualify Anyone--If You Can Make It There--You Can Make It Any Where)!

He has The Partisan Experience:

A. First, As A Member Of The Democratic Party.

B. Second, As A Member Of The Republican Party.

C. Third, As An Independent.

And As Former New York Mayor, Ed Koch, said of Mayor Bloomberg: "He's Got Lots Of Moola (BILLION$)!"

Plus he's Jewish (Very Jewish From What My Jewish Friends Say).

I mean, he'd be An Excellent American, Constitutional, First Amendement, Separation of Church & State, Anti-Satanic-Vaticanist/Anti-Roman-"Catholic"-Cultic-Political-Globalist-Ecumenist-One-World-Church/New-World-[Dis]Order Anti-Papist/Romanist Jewish Candidate For President of The United States Of America.

He Sure Would Be Able To Unify The 1/3 Of The Nation That Votes Independent; 1/3 Of The Nation That Votes Republican; and, 1/3 Of The Nation That Votes Democratic!

To The Utter Horror, Terror & Chagrin of:

1. The Satanic Roman "Catholic" Cult of Popish "Jesuitic" Vaticanism.

2. The New "Jesuit"-General-Black-"Pope"-Beast-Of-Revelation-13:1-10.

3. The Old "RATzinger"-Nazi-White-"Pope"-False-Prophet-Of-Revelation-13:11-18 !
