Church of Norway votes in favour of homosexuals in ordained ministry
The Lutheran Church of Norway voted last Friday to allow members in same-sex partnerships to serve in ordained ministry.

The vote came towards the end of a difficult week of debate on the issue during the Church’s General Synod, held last Tuesday to Saturday.

The Church remains deeply divided over homosexuality, with many feeling that the acceptance of homosexuals in the clergy goes against Scripture.

Last Friday’s compromise vote was testimony to the lack of clear consensus on homosexuals within the Church. While the long-standing absolute ban on employing homosexuals in the clergy has been lifted, the ultimate decision on whether or not to appoint them has been left to individual bishops to make. ...

There is a problem that is very easy to fall into when the founder of this faith advocated "resist yee not evil" and "if a man strike your cheek turn and offer the other" This founder then allowed an evil force to debase attempt humiliate and finally kill him without defending himself. (On the face) of this,... surrender to evil is what is considered a virtue. On top of this he advocates to love and pray for those that treat you spitefully. No masculine VIRTU is praised or even suggested as an option, no individuality or personal dignity is is to be defended. Only surrender and the love and forgiveness of those that debase you. This is a problem...when in order to get to heaven you must be completely effeminate, spineless. Such a doctrine (IF)not (PROPERLY) explained naturally leads to degrading masochism,... which is what the church is finally caving into.

Is there such a thing as sin anymore? The Bible is clear that those that do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. You can be an ordained minister you can be a great church member and still rot in hell forever. Blind leading the blind. You must be bornagain if you are in a church that accepts Sodomites you need to leave NOW! Get out of that dead mess!!! Find a New testament church.

This is so idiotic. The Catholic Church is plagued with homosexuals and has a history of abusing young boys...why do these 'modern' churches think that they will be any different if they allow this type of disease to spew from the pulpits...with their blessings, no less?
It's just plain disgraceful!!

I knew it was eventually coming to these countries...the liberal and political attitudes to prove to the world how the church is up-to-date and modern...even women pastors who are divorced and serving the church...more to come. Terv davey

Europe is definitely a missionary field. State churches, are not churches at all. Catholicism and Islam should have taught people that. There have been Christians in them, such as the Bishop Ryles in Anglican Church in the 19th century, they are the exception rather than the rule. It goes against what the church is suppose to be, an instrument of God, not of Government.

"Evaluating the Church Today"

Gil Rugh said or, wrote:
The Church is the manifestation of Christ on the earth today. ...[The Apostle John] gives an evaluation of the Church by addressing seven literal churches in existance at the time which represented the Church universal. Churches in existence today are likewise represented and the evaluations Christ gave are just as authoritative for churches today.

These evaluations include condemnation, commendation, corrections and cautions.

...[Christ]has made clear what the work of the Church is to be and what it is to involve itself within regard to the culture and society in which it has been planted.

Folks, we're definitely living in the end-times. Let's fight the battle for truth and God's gospel to the very end, but look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

The Bible is very clear. It is time these churches split into those who receive the Bible and those who dont.

Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Romans 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Romans 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

2Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
