Uproar as Vatican tries to get King David’s tomb
King David’s tomb, situated on Mount Zion, is one of Israel’s most sacred sites. The Vatican is trying to gain ownership of the so called Cenacle, the alleged place of the Last Supper, which lies above it. The Israeli Government, ever looking to boost tourist income, has drawn up a draft agreement which would transfer much of the Crusader area to Rome together with the lucrative tourist interest, but the news has caused an outcry in Israel.

The King David’s Tomb complex is a group of buildings covering some 100,000 square feet where David and Solomon, and kings of Judea, are said to be buried. “It is certainly one of the holiest spots in the Land of Israel,” Rabbi Herman said. “We’ve already given away the Temple Mount and the Machpelah Cave, except for here and there when we’re allowed in; now they want to give Mt. Zion away as well? For thousands of years, this area was almost always totally ...

The real problem, JY, is how much of the Bible you have to dispense of to stay in that unbiblical system (and you can't say its unbiblical because you admit you have to dispense of most of it). You've admitted the error, obey the Book!

John Y,

Your statement is illogical. Dispense with it.

Walt Johnson,

I think that what Craig stated is totally illogical. If I dispense with the unscriptural RCC doctrines, adhere only to the scriptural RCC doctrines, do not participate in the unscriptural parts to the Mass and only participate in the scriptural parts to the Mass then I am not engaging in idolatry and thus I am worshipping Christ in spirit and truth.

John, did you see what was written by Craig on "Muslim congressman avoids loyalty questions"? I would like to read your answer. I have never looked at it that way. What do you think?

You just need to dispense with the illogical and unscriptural parts of John's posts, and adhere to the logical and scriptural parts.

Well, John Yurich, why did God wait so long to start saving people with altar calls? Why aren't they done by Jesus and the Apostles or even 1,000 years after?

to share Christ with as many people as we can in hopes that they will turn their lives over to Him. Our lives and everybody else's life is a fleeting quickly is vanishes from this earth.

Just remember what II John says in verses 10 and 11....."If there come any unto you and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed (peace be with you);
For he that biddeth him God speed, is partaker of his evil deeds.

You become a partaker of the Catholic church's evil deeds by spreading heresy and all that does is weaken your faith and growth in the Truth.

I just marvel how so few Christians even care about refuting errors boldly in the Catholic church and it's because so many prominent Christian leaders have condoned Catholicism by putting their stamp of approval on a false gospel (ECT). It's treason and nothing but treason.

John Yurich,

It's people like you and people like many of our Christian leaders, (Billy Graham, Jack Van Impe, James Dobson, James Kennedy, J.I.Packer, John Stott, Chuck Colson, Richard Land and former Bill Bright and many others), that make many unsuspecting believers think that Catholicism is OK and that Catholics are saved because they're pretty close to Biblical teaching (so what's the big deal "they say"). Well so are mormons and Jehova Witnesses except one glaring problem....they are lost and on their way to Hell!

I repeat it again and again and again and again.....
There is nothing scriptural about the Catholic Church's rituals that justify your standing before God......Absolutely nothing and scripture refutes every single ritual in the Catholic Church as Anathama or cursed. There is nothing to condone about false teaching or false rituals period.

Neither does God give you permission to bid catholics "peace be with you". You give too many a false sense of assurance that will damn their soul. If you really know God, you should have fervert desire to tell them the truth and witness to them in an earnest desire to see their souls saved.....that would evidence the Holy Spirit working in you. Furthermore that is our job while we are here for but a short share Ch

The prescribed manner for receiving Christ as Savior is what is stated in Romans 10:9-10. And that is why they have Altar Calls to fulfill what it states in Romans 10:9-10. John Wesley the great founder of the Methodist Church received Christ as his Savior during an Altar Call. Are you stating that Wesley was not really saved because of having received Christ as his Savior during an Altar Call? During Altar Calls individuals do what it states in Romans 10:9-10 by confessing with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in their heart that God has raised Christ from the dead and thus they become saved.

Ah well, Neil. Guess what: It shows a person like me with a BA and concentration in English Language and Literature(along with studying three other languages) isn't infallible nor perfect(Maybe English isn't either). Maybe I got confused or the fingers got ahead of the brain. Good to know we have a perfect Book and perfect Savior, perfect grace, and perfection in Him.

The obsession w/ correct spelling (to which I confess) is the result of systematic lexicography, like that of Samuel Johnson & Noah Webster (who, busy fellow that he was and a professing Christian, also did a revision of the KJV to purge it of naughty words!).

John Yurich,
You need to repent and recieve Christ as Savior in the manner He ordained. Maybe then GG will believe you.

Why do you refer to the belief system that I have which is a combination of Catholic and Protestant(Lutheran and Fundamentalist) as a Frankenstein like amalgam? You really need to receive Christ as your Savior and start being guided by the Holy Spirit to know which Catholic doctrines are unscriptural and which parts of the Mass are unscriptural and thus dispense with the unscriptural Catholic doctrines and the unscriptural parts of the Mass and not participate in the unscriptural parts of the Mass. Right now you are not being guided by the Holy Spirit because you have never received Christ as your Savior. Right now you are being guided by Satan. But I have received Christ as my Savior and thus I am being guided by the Holy Spirit and that is why I am able to ascertain which Catholic doctrines are illogical and unscriptural and should be dispensed with, which Catholic doctrines are logical and scriptural and should be adhered to, which parts of the Mass are logical and scriptural and should be participated in and which parts of the Mass are illogical and unscriptural and should not be participated in.

I've been to a catholic mass before, although they do have nice feet rests, I'm not much into emotionless chanting. =)
