CNN -- The "tenacious" Hurricane Isabel "refuses to weaken," the National Hurricane Center said Sunday. The powerful Category 5 storm maintained its strength in the Atlantic Ocean, with winds near 160 mph (260 km/h), according to the center. Isabel is still days away from possible landfall, which hurricane center forecasters said could occur on the East Coast of the United States. At 5 a.m. EDT, Isabel's center was about 340 miles (545 km) north of San Juan, Puerto Rico, moving to the west-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h).
