All right, this morning, let's turn to the book of Acts and chapter number two. The book of Acts and chapter number two. Today, the title to our message is The Church Filled. So we've started looking at the book of Acts, and we're seeing the early days of the church. And when we last studied, we understood that Jesus promised to build his church. He promised that the Comforter would come. He informed the foundational members of the church that they would be his witnesses unto the uttermost parts of the world. Now I want you to think about that. There to be witnesses unto the uttermost parts of the world. And living in the day that they lived, what would be the hindrances to that? What would make it difficult for them to reach the uttermost parts of the world? So here they are, Jesus Christ has ascended to the Father, and they are there in the upper room, and they are waiting on the Comforter to come. Jesus has promised them that if I go away, I'm going to send to you a Comforter. And so they are in one place, they are in one accord, they are praying, waiting on Jesus to fulfill His promise. But there's a huge hindrance to their call to reach the uttermost parts of the world. And the huge hindrance is languages. How are they going to go to the uttermost parts of the world and communicate the gospel to people if they can't speak the same language they speak? And so we're going to see today that God shows them, I've called you to go to the uttermost parts of the world, and I'm gonna give you the ability to do that. And so that's what we're going to kind of see. I'm going to give you the ability to speak to people of a foreign land. Now this is not prescriptive for us. This doesn't mean that everyone who is a Christian should be able to speak foreign languages. That's not what it means. What we're seeing, though, is God is removing those hindrances. He's allowing them to see that if I've called you to go to the uttermost parts of the world, I'm going to give you what you need to be able to do that. And so in our text today, we'll see a little bit of the reason or the ability that God gives them. Acts chapter number two and verse number one. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as a fire, and it set upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans? And how here we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born, Parthenians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and Judea, and Cappadocia, and Pontius, and Asia, Targyria, and Pamphylia, and Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews, and proselytes, Cretes, and Arabians. We do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meanest this? Others mocking said, these men are full of new wine. This is God's word to us. And we want to see that every time we read the scripture. This is God's word. This is when God decided to reveal himself to us, he gave us his word. And what we read today is God's word. Let's pray. Heavenly father, as we come to you today, we are thankful for your word. Your word is profitable to us, to instruct us, to correct us, to lead us, to comfort us. Everything we need, God, we find in your word that it will mature us. And so we pray, God, that as we speak your word today, that you will speak into people's hearts, that you will convict the lost, that, God, that you will comfort the brokenhearted, God, that you will encourage service to you. Just your will be done today as we preach your word. We're thankful for your word. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. And so we remember that the church is in one accord praying for wisdom. They're praying for the comforter to come. They prayed for the promise of Jesus in Acts 1, 5, where Jesus told them, for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. And so they're praying for this baptism of the Holy Spirit, which they don't really know what that means yet. They're about to find out. But they're praying, what you promised us, God, we pray that you will send it to us. So we remember where we're at. Jesus has finished his work on earth. He's laid down His life. He has borne the sins of many. He has now ascended to His Father, and He is going to send the Spirit back to His people. Jesus is there to intercede on behalf of His people, to be their advocate, to be their great intercessor, to plead their case before the Father. But now, He's going to work through the Spirit. And so He sends His Spirit back to earth so that His church can be empowered to accomplish the work that God has given them to do. God is going to redeem His broken creation. And we remember that, right? We want to always keep this in mind. When Adam sinned in the garden, and death came into the world, and death passed upon all men. Creation was broken. Creation needs redeemed, and God is doing that. What we want to realize is today, God is still doing that. God is redeeming His creation. He's redeeming those that were broken, those that are broken. All of those that will come unto Him, He will redeem them, and He will restore their brokenness, and He will fix what sin has destroyed. So that's why we're here today. We're here today because God is still redeeming His creation. You are one of His creations, and what God is doing is that He is working in your life to restore you back to what His design for man was. And so we want to understand that God is working in us to redeem us from the curse of the law. And so that's why we're here, that's why we sing, that's why we pray, that's why we preach, because God is restoring us. And we praise Him because we see that restoration work in us. One day, we know that God is going to restore His creation, the broken creation in which we live, many tragedies going on around the world, all of the flooding that's going on. One day, all of that flooding will be removed. All of the brokenness that we see, the tragedies that we see in this world, that's all going to be restored because God is redeeming His creation, and He will create, He will redeem His creation. He will make all things new. And so we understand that. But the church is given the job of taking the gospel to the world to tell others, to tell the world how they can be redeemed, how the brokenness that they are experiencing in their life can be restored, and all things can become new to them. And so we see that. The good news of salvation through Christ Jesus is going to go to the ends of the earth. That's what Jesus has told his church to do. It's a huge task. If you think in the beginning, it's 11 men who were given the task of taking the gospel to the entire world. Imagine what a task that must be. And now we recognize there's 120 of them in this room and they're praying. And those 120, you're to take the gospel to the uttermost parts of the world. Every corner of the earth is to be reached with the gospel. How will they do that? That's such a huge task. And besides, how are we going to communicate with all of these people? So we understand this task that God has given them, God's going to give them the ability to accomplish. And so He's going to get here and we're going to talk about the Spirit's arrival. And it tells us in verse 1, when the day of Pentecost was fully come, there came a sound of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all of the house, and there appeared unto them clothing tongues as of fire, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. And so, we wanna remember where we're at in the biblical record. Where are we at in the biblical record? We are between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. We're in a time frame of transitioning from the children of Israel being the point through where God is working, that He is now transitioning to work through His church. And so this time frame, we're in that transitional stage, moving out of the old and into the new. We're coming into the church age. And according to MacArthur, the baptism with the Holy Ghost is that these believers are being added to the body of Christ. The body of Christ has been in its infancy in the 11 apostles, because Jesus said, I'll build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. So he was building his church while he was on the earth, but now he's going to send the church out, and they are his body, and they are going to act on his behalf. Now that we're beyond the transitional stage and we are in the church age, this being added to the body of Christ happens as soon as you're born again. It's what some people would call the family of God. So when you're born again, you're a son of God and you're added to the family of God. And we know that the family of God, the sub-part of the family of God is the church of God who is going to do His work. And so, that's what's happening here when they are baptized. Now, it's interesting for us to think about what does it mean, baptized with the Holy Ghost? What does that mean? And it's something for us to think about, to think about that That word, with. If you go back to Acts 1-5, notice it says, for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. So we think about that. What does it mean that John baptized with water? Well, that word with, that preposition can be translated with, it can be translated in, it can be translated on. It can mean many different things, but let's just go back a few weeks and let's take the picture that we had in this baptistry here when we baptized Troy and we baptized Troy with water. What does that mean? Well, it's pretty simple, isn't it? That means we baptized him in water He was, actually the word baptized means immersed. So he immersed with water. He was immersed in the water. John baptized, John immersed in water. And so when you recognize that the word baptism simply means to be totally immersed, And then you say, well, he was totally immersed in water. The picture makes it pretty simple for us to understand. It's immersion. And so when we read here that you'll be immersed in the Holy Ghost, not many days hence. And so you hear the sound of a rushing mighty wind, and that sound comes, and the whole room was filled with the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost completely surrounded those people that were there. That's what we understand. We understand that the entire room was full of the Holy Ghost. All of those that were there, that were present, they were totally surrounded by the Spirit. And so we understand that that's it. There are a couple of other times where we will see people being filled with the Spirit in the Book of Acts, and where we'll see them speaking with other tongues, which we'll talk about in just a minute, but it only happens just a few times. And so we understand that there's no other mention of this time frame when these people are fully immersed. This is a one-time event for this transitional stage when the church is going to be added to the people there are going to be added to the body of Christ and they're going to go move forward to do the work that God has called them to do. It's not a second blessing. It's not something that happens all kinds of times. Very limited to this one time. And so the church now is totally immersed, and I want you to understand, notice, then it goes on and says in verse number four, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. So this being totally surrounded by the Holy Ghost and then being filled with the Holy Ghost are two separate events. Being baptized, being totally immersed with the Holy Spirit was a one-time event. Being filled with the Holy Ghost is a multiple time event. And so we'll have to talk about that in just a minute. But so now that Jesus has ascended to heaven, he is going to lead his apostles. He's going to lead his apostles by the Holy Spirit, by the comforter that he promised would come. And he says, I'm going to totally immerse you in the Spirit. So now that you can be led by the Holy Spirit of God to do the work that I've called you to do. And so then we see there in verse number four that they were all filled with the Spirit and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. Now, there's a manifestation of the Spirit's arrival. It tells us in verse number three, or verse number two, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind. There's a sound of a rushing mighty wind But there is no wind. I listened to a sermon on that this week, and it was said it was a sound of a hurricane, but no hurricane. What's the purpose? Why is there this sound of a rushing mighty wind? It's because you have these 120 people who are gathered together, who've been called of God to go in the uttermost parts of the world, and they're to wait on the Comforter How are they going to know the Comforter comes? And so God manifests His presence with them. And He manifests His presence with them by the sound of a rushing mighty wind, by these cloven tongues of fire. As I said, this is not prescriptive for us. This is not something that we should anticipate. We should not anticipate that if we're all together in the room, we should not anticipate a sound of a rushing mighty wind. We should not anticipate tongues of fire appearing on our head. It was a one-time event to let the church that was gathered together know the Spirit is here, what you've been waiting for, the Comforter that I promised you. It's going to come, and I'm going to get your attention by the sound of a rushing mighty wind. and identify for them that the Holy Spirit is here. And again, this extraordinary occurrence of cloven tongues appearing, they should not be our expectation, and neither should speaking languages. And again, we'll talk about this. We'll develop this thought throughout the book of Acts, because there'll be a couple of other times when people do this. when there's going to be given them the ability to speak with other tongues. And so they're filled with the Holy Ghost. Why do they need to be filled with the Holy Ghost? Well, they need to be filled with the Holy Ghost, again, because they've been given this task. They've been given the task of going to all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. How are they gonna do that? How are those 120 people, how are they going to be able to have the ability? How are they going to have the provision? How are they going to have the wisdom to be able to accomplish this great task? And they're going to have the ability because the Holy Spirit's going to empower them. And so that lets us think about ourselves for just a minute. God has called you to a great task of crucifying the flesh. How are you going to overcome the temptations of the flesh? I mean, if Adam in the Garden of Eden, and he lived in perfection, and he could not overcome the temptation of Satan, how are you going to do it? Through the power of the Holy Spirit. If we've been given the task to take the gospel to the entire world, how are we going to do that? Through the power of the Holy Spirit. You see, the Spirit in us gives us the ability to accomplish the task that God has given us, and none of us should think that we can accomplish what God has given us to do apart from the power of the Holy Spirit. And we want to understand That when they're going to be filled with the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is going to come upon them. We want to kind of get an idea of what that means. And one of the things we always want to do is let Scripture interpret Scripture. When it says they were filled with the Holy Ghost, we understand in the Old Testament, the Spirit was different in the Old Testament than it is now. Everybody did not possess the power of the Holy Spirit that the church is getting ready to experience. The Old Testament tells us that the Spirit came upon people. They didn't have it all the time. In the book of Judges, chapter number 6 and verse 34, it says, But the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon. God had called Gideon to a great task. He had called him to go and fight against an army. And how was he going to be able to accomplish the task that God has given him? The Spirit came upon Gideon so that Gideon could do the work that God had called him to do. When you think about Saul, the one that would become king, 1 Samuel 10.10 says, and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. How was Saul going to be the king? There's a question about Saul's salvation, whether he was a saved man or not. And we're not gonna get into that, but let's say for a minute that Saul was not a saved man. How was Saul going to be able to be king in Israel? Well, the Spirit of God came upon him. And Saul was able to prophesy and do other things. You see, it was something that came upon them for a limited amount of time. And we also know that there came a time when the Spirit left Saul, right? And the Spirit went to David. As I'm mentioning David, 1 Samuel 16, 13 says, and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. The point being is that the Holy Spirit empowered people differently in the Old Testament. The Holy Spirit came upon people so that they could accomplish the work that God had given them to do. It came upon individuals. Now what we're going to see is in the church, that the entire church is going to be empowered. The Spirit of the Lord is going to come upon them. They're going to be able to accomplish the work that God is going to give them to do, and they're going to be filled. Earlier, Jesus had told the apostles in John 20, 22, receive you the Holy Ghost. Now, this is before the day of Pentecost. He's called them to do a great task. And he's giving them his spirit to accomplish the work that he had called them to do. It's the spirit coming upon men that gives them the ability to do the work that God has called them to do. And so it says, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. So we need to stop and think about, well, what's that mean they were filled with the Holy Ghost? Well, the word filled, Simply means to be full, right? So at this moment in time, they were full of the Holy Ghost. The Scripture often talks about being full. Again, we're going to let Scripture interpret Scripture. What does the Scripture tell us about? What does it mean to be full? In the book of Proverbs 12, 21, it says, There shall no evil happen to the just, but the wicked shall be filled with mischief. So what do we understand about that? What does it mean that the wicked are filled with mischief? That means that mischief, that the wicked people are full of, they always act in mischief. And so they're full of mischief. Paul speaks to the Ephesians in Ephesians 5, 18, and he says, and be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but be filled with the Holy Spirit. And so he's talking to the church at Ephesus, and he's telling them, don't be drunk with wine, be filled with the Spirit. And so it's something that happens often, and it's not something that you always maintain. You take this bottle, It's not full. It's almost empty. It had a drop or two in it. It's not filled. You take something that is filled and it often doesn't stay filled. Often it is emptied. The best way to understand this is you take a sponge, and we talked about this Wednesday night, a sponge becomes saturated. And what's that mean if a sponge is saturated? It means it can't take on any more. So when something is filled, it means you're full and you can't take on any more. And so, when Paul was saying, be filled with the Spirit, what's he saying? He's saying, Be filled with the Spirit. Now, here's the thing. We're not going to get any more of the Spirit. When you're born again, you get the Holy Spirit of God. That's all you're ever going to get. The Holy Spirit doesn't come. There's not two parts to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes, and you get the Spirit, and that's it. You don't see that there's another compartment of the Spirit out there that says, I'm going to give you part of the Spirit, No, you get all of the Spirit. Once you get it, you get all of it. So what does it mean to be filled then? If we get all of the Spirit we're going to have, what does Paul mean when he says, be you filled with the Spirit? Well, it means to be yielded to the Spirit. Be totally yielded to the Holy Spirit of God. It's allowing the Holy Spirit to guide every thought, Every action, every motive, every emotion, it's where the Holy Spirit is in total control of your life. And so at this moment in time that we're talking about here in Acts chapter number 2 and verse number 4, we recognize that those 120 people that were gathered there together, they were totally, fully submitted to Christ. He was in control of every thought, every action, every motive. They were totally submitted to Christ. So being filled with the Spirit is something that happens when we submit our entire life to Christ. It's not that you're getting more of the Spirit, it's the Spirit getting more of you. So now this brings us to ask this question. How often would you say the Holy Spirit has all of you? The Holy Spirit is making every decision for you. Making every choice. Controlling every emotion. Controlling your likes and your dislikes. Controlling where you go and where you don't go. That every moment of your life is controlled by the Spirit. How often would you say that you are filled with the Spirit? That Christ has all of you. If that's where Paul tells the Ephesians, he says, be you filled with the Spirit. It's something that you should desire as a Christian when you recognize that Christ has rescued you from the penalty of sin. that Christ has given you hope of eternal life, and that He has bought you from the wickedness that's in the world, the old man who desired the lust of the flesh, and desired to fulfill the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and you were by nature a child of the devil, and Jesus has rescued you from that. How often? should you be fully submitted to Christ? How many days should you wake up and say, today, God, I want You to have all of me. Today, God, lead every decision. God, check my emotions. God, use my talents for Your glory. How many days should the Spirit have all of us What about if you don't experience the power of God in your life and you don't feel the presence of God in your life? Is it because God is not there? Or is it because you're not yielded to God? You see, if we're not experiencing the power of God and we're not feeling God in our life, it's probably because we're not yielded to the Spirit. So he says, be you filled with the Spirit. And they are filled with the Spirit. They're filled with the Holy Ghost. And the Spirit now is going to identify with them. The Spirit's going to empower them. And what power does He give them? Verse number four. They were all filled with the Holy Ghost. They totally yielded to the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit took those vessels that were totally yielded to Him and empowered them, and they began to speak in other languages, with other tongues. Now, again, I know we're getting into a territory that there's lots of discussions about, but it's really simple if you let Scripture interpret Scripture. It's really simple if you understand the definitions of words The word tongues there is the Greek word, which is glossa, which means very simply languages. God clarifies for us what is happening here. Notice in verse number six, where it says that at the end of the verse, it says that every man heard them speak in his own language. What is happening here? They're to go into all the world, preach the gospel to every creature. They're to preach it to every nation and tribe and tongue. Every nation, tribe, and language. And God's giving them the ability to do that. They're given the ability to speak, whether it be Aramaic, Whether it be Germanic language, whether it be Spanish, whatever language it is, God gave them the ability to speak that language because every man heard them speak in their own language. It's not they were speaking some fanciful language. No, God gave them the ability to speak languages that they hadn't learned. And so they were able to speak a language that they had not learned. Why? Because they're going to tell the wonderful works of God. They're going to tell about Jesus. Peter's going to preach in just a minute. So what good is a word that is spoken if you can't understand it? I don't know about you all, but one of the things that drives me crazy And it's my own fault, but if I go somewhere, say we go to the local Mexican restaurant. And you're in there, and you're talking English, and all of a sudden, they break out into Spanish. And they're speaking Spanish, and I'm like, I really wish I knew what you're saying right now. That just drives me crazy. What good is it if they're speaking in Spanish, and they're speaking to me? When we were with Haley and Bray, and we went to a restaurant in Nashville, that you had to speak in Spanish or you couldn't order. It would do me no good to go to that restaurant without bread with me. It didn't do me any good because I can't speak Spanish. What good is speaking in a language that no one can understand? You're not doing anyone any good. And so we understand they're going to tell the wonderful works of God, and they're going to tell the wonderful works of God in the language that people know and understand. It's very simple. What's happening here? God gives them the ability to speak a language that they did not know. You say, how do you know that, Mark? Because God told me right there in verse number 6. God told me they were speaking in his own language. The people heard them speaking in the language of their childbirth, it tells us later on. So God is enabling them to reach out to every nation under heaven. The church will have the ability to reach the uttermost parts of the world. That which you think might be a hindrance to you, there are no hindrances to doing the work that I've called you to do. And they're so important for us to understand as a church. If we feel led by God to accomplish some task, can we accomplish that task? Yes, because God's going to empower us even if we need to speak in a language that we cannot speak. Interestingly, God doesn't give this gift today. Think how beneficial this would be for a for a missionary that was going to a foreign land, if they were given this ability right here, but they're not, we know, I know personally, you all know personally some missionaries that are in foreign lands and what's the very first thing they have to do? It's called language class. They have to learn how to speak the language. It would be nice if God would choose to give them this ability now, but he doesn't, he's hidden that back. And so anyway, The Holy Spirit's identifying His presence. The Holy Spirit is putting His stamp of approval on the church. It's giving the church credibility. It's always when miracles and wonders are performed, it's always about giving credibility. And there's only four times it happens in the entirety of Scripture. Only four times were people given the ability to perform miracles. It wasn't an ongoing thing with everyone. Only four times in the entire Scripture. It's a limited time that God gave to give credibility to a group of people, and that's what God is doing here with the early church. It's giving them credibility. It's saying they know God is with us, and it let others know around them that the power that was with Christ is now with this group of people. It's giving the church credibility. So it tells us there that there's some devout Jews who are amazed by all of this. They're devout because they do not want to offend God. They're amazed because they hear this sound, but there is no wind, and they see these people speaking in languages, and they're perplexed. They're perplexed by all of this because all of those people that are speaking to us are Galileans. Now that might not hold much of a significance for us, but in some of my studies, that means the Galileans were the hillbillies of our day, of their day. They would be like, there's no way those people can speak. They're the least educated. They're the least knowledgeable. They're the lowest of the low. There's no way they can speak in these languages. So they were all perplexed by all of that. But the Holy Spirit, He's identifying the church is now the place where he is going to work. Peter is going to preach that in verse number 22, that signs and wonders are those things that prove that Jesus was a man of God. And so now we're going to see that those same things are going to follow the church, that these miracles and signs and wonders are, it's a sign that God has approved the church. So, skipping down to verse number 11, it tells us that when they spake, they spake the wonderful works of God. Luke lists the people, the languages that were spoke from east to west, and we're not going to go into that for time's sake. But they're preaching the wonderful works of God. Peter will preach the works of God It's going to provide salvation for a world broken by sin. But the wonderful works of God have always been spoken by God's people to tell of His glory. That's the reason. When we want to share Jesus with someone, we should begin by telling them about the wonderful works of God. Making God desirable to them. Why do they need to hear from God? Why do they need Jesus? They need Jesus because who God is. He's a holy God who created the world. Why do you need Jesus? Because you didn't create the world and you are not holy, and so you are a sinner and you need some redemption. But they told the wonderful works of God. They spoke the wonderful works of God because it was their job to make the glory of God known. So how do you speak the wonderful works of God to others? Can you speak of His glory? Can you speak so that God is lifted up for people to see? How do you speak the wonderful works of God? One of the things that's happened to us is that we have failed to speak the wonderful works of God. We've forgotten to tell others how great God is. We've forgotten to tell them about what He's done in our lives. We forgot to tell them about His power to convict of sin. We forgot to tell them about His restraining grace that keeps us from sin. The wonderful works of God is that He's granted me forgiveness. He's merciful to me. He has loved me with an everlasting love. Therefore, with loving kindness, He has drawn me unto Him. See, can you tell others about how God has made a way of escape for you that you've been able to bear up under the temptation that you have faced? So many places where we can tell others about the wonderful works of God. Can you tell someone else about how God has answered a prayer for you? I mean, when they were given the ability to speak, what did they speak? The wonderful works of God. We should be about letting others know the goodness of God. Some were amazed. They were surprised. They were amazed at all this taking place. Others mocked. They were trying to discredit the church. And Satan has always tried to do that. Satan has tried since the very beginning to discredit the church. And you know, that's why it's so difficult for people to be dedicated to the church sometimes, because the church has a black eye at times. I mean, men who were supposed to be faithful men of God have sinned. and it gives the church a black eye. People who profess to be Christians live like the world, and it gives the church a black eye. I mean, Satan wants to use people to discredit the church, because the church is gonna continue on, and the church is going to be here when Christ returns, and the church is going to accomplish the work that God has given it to do, But Satan wants to discredit the church and sometimes he uses us to do it. Let's not be the tool of Satan to discredit the Lord's church. But here you have it, this day of Pentecost. When the Holy Spirit fills the room, and the people are filled with the Spirit, and they begin to speak the wonderful works of God, and the community is surprised, they're amazed, they're perplexed, and they're going to say, what means all of this? And then Peter's going to tell them what it means. But it's God doing the work that He's called the church to do. And here's what I want us to see. Are you a member of the church? then you're called of God to accomplish the same task. As a member of the church, you're empowered just as the early church was, and as you yield yourself to the Holy Spirit, you'll find yourself having the ability to accomplish the task that God has given us. If needed, the Holy Spirit can empower people to speak in foreign languages. It's not the norm. But the Holy Spirit will do this again in the future to give credibility to other groups, which we will see. But now I want to ask you the question. Are you a part of the church? Are you active in the church? Are you yielded to the Spirit of God? Have you been filled with the Spirit? Are you filled with the Spirit even now? And if you're not, in what places have you failed to yield yourself to the Holy Spirit of God? Be filled with the Spirit and let the world know about the wonderful works of God because what's God about? Redeeming His people. about redeeming lives of rescuing people from the brokenness that is in the world. And so tell others about the wonderful works of God as you are yielded to the Spirit of God. Heavenly Father, we pray that your Holy Spirit will empower the word that was spoken today. And we said earlier, this is your word. This is what you want us to know. I pray God that we'll take it and use it in our lives for your honor and your glory, to make your glory known. It's in the name of Jesus we pray, amen. We're gonna stand and...
