Praise the Lord for another day to come in the house to worship God. Amen. We're certainly glad that you're here. Pray that God will richly bless this morning as we are worshiping Him and Him alone. Wonder, what if, what if a person at the end of your life, the end of your rope, so to speak, You discover, and you begin to be honest with yourself, that you have believed in God all your life, or most of your life, but you've never repented and turned away from selfish and self pleasures, and never trusted and placed your faith in Christ. And at the end of your rope, you stand before God, He says, depart from me. I never knew you. It would be a sad state of affairs and Satan is using the same tactics today as he did a long time ago. If you know the truth, keep quiet about it. Don't get involved. Don't say nothing. This morning we're going to take a look at it in the book of Acts chapter 4. Acts chapter 4, as you're turning there, we know that Peter and John were arrested because they had displeased the government leaders and the religious leaders because they had healed this 40-year-old man at the gate. In the name of Jesus, they said, rise up and walk, and he was healed. And they wanted to know who did this and what name do you do this in? And they didn't take credit for their self. They said that Jesus did this. And Jesus that you crucified is the resurrection Messiah. And by Him are you saved. And Him alone are you saved. And so they arrested them, put them in jail. And they didn't know what to do with them. And so we come to verse 18. And they called them, this is after they were in prison, called them back and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. Does that sound like our culture today? But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God judging. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. They testified in verse 21. And so they had further threatened them. They let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them because of the people. For all men glorified God for that which was done. For the man was above forty years old of whom the miracle of healing had been shown. Let's pray together. Father in Your Word, You tell us that we are to meditate upon Your Word and upon Your precepts. Lord, our hope is built upon Your Word and is in Your Word. So Lord, with You this morning, we ask You this morning to enlarge our desire for You. God, we ask you to enlarge our vision to glorify you. Father, we ask you to enlarge souls being saved and baptized at Roan Creek Baptist Church. God, we ask you to enlarge our worship. God, we ask you to enlarge our giving. God, we ask you to enlarge our leadership. Please do this work. Because it is so large that it can only be accomplished in and by you. So, Father, this morning, be glorified in all decisions that's made. And from this day, Lord, may our lives be changed and different than when we first came in. And God, may your Holy Spirit begin to penetrate our hearts and move and work this morning in a mighty, powerful way as we share. In Jesus' name, Amen. We have most all of us, a desire to be loved and accepted. In our culture today, there's so many people that are walking around looking and it's empty. They've been searching for love and acceptance in all kinds of ways through relationships, through substances, through all kinds of things that they try to attach themselves to to get the love and acceptance that they desire in their heart. But there's only one thing that will fill that gap. And that is the name of Jesus Christ coming in in a repentant heart that's willing to turn over and place their faith and trust in Christ and Christ alone. That's the need. We have such a greater need than ever before. People are looking for fulfillment. We have a greater need right now to tell the truth in today's society than ever before. And yet Satan still uses the same tactics. Go, but don't speak or teach in the name of Jesus. We'll give you the response to that. It comes in the form of a Greek word. You ready? Baloney. We have a greater need to make Him known than ever before today. People are here this morning and people that you know and that you love very much are roaming. And they've been roaming too long looking for fulfillment and found nothing but emptiness. We must speak the truth. And as we run this video, maybe you are in a situation. Maybe this is for you. Maybe you're watching by stream this morning. Maybe it's for you. But whatever God speaks this morning is His glory and His glory alone. As we share this video, Maybe this is where you are at the beginning. Maybe this is where you are at the end of your rope. Watch and see. I'm so aggrieved and outspoken and illegal, lying into all of his deceit. And the lies keep pouring in. But it's totally not the okay. If I made enough money at the end of the day, if I got that promotion, if I got that new car, if I got that house with that dog in the yard, I'd be fine. I've had enough of that. I need something deep. Something real or something that's more than what I'm feeling just right now. I'm lost. Honestly. I mean, I've heard that Jesus died for me, but what does that even mean? Doesn't everybody die? What makes this man so special? What makes him what I need? What makes his blood more powerful when he bleeds? I want to know. I want to understand. So I'm here on this day to find out. I mean, is it true? Did he really raise to the grave? Did he really heal the blind and the lame? Did he really make the world? Did he really calm the seas? If this is true, then he is what I need. On this day, I choose to believe, not in fear of Him, not in a lie, but in hope. In hope that He really did rise. In faith that He is who He said He is. In faith that He rose. In faith that He ascended and is preparing us a home. If all this is true, then I want to know Him. It is true. It is real. You need to know Him. You need to place your faith and trust in Him. Too many people have the information about Jesus Christ, but they've never repented and trusted in Him and placed their faith in Him. It is God's desire that you believe in Him and what Jesus did on the cross for you. His resurrection power. And yes, go beyond. and repent of your sins and place your total faith in Him. It is our desire that today you will testify that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life and He is the Commander-in-Chief of your life. Let me ask you, do you believe in Jesus and have you repented and trusted in Him? Satan has commanded Christians far too long to keep silent. Don't say nothing, don't get involved. He's done that and still doing that. Have you not spoke up because you didn't want to get involved? Have you been silenced because you're an introvert? Welcome to the club, so am I. But God did so much for me, there's no way I can keep silent. Perspective of our lives is kind of like this rope. This rope, let's just say, represents the start of eternity. This little red part right here represents your life from beginning to end. That little red part represents your life. It's all about the perspective, your focus in life. Can I get a little bit more? Can I get a little bit bigger raise? Can I get a new house? Can I get a new cruise? Focus on what? You begin to focus on how many friends you had on Facebook. I have 4,200 friends on Facebook and I'm focusing on that. Maybe, maybe I watched 1,200 movies and I'm focused on that. Maybe I've reached level 75 in the game that I play. What are you spending your time and what are you spending your focus on? Because in the end of life, when we get to the very end, right here, it'll either be regret or it'll be reward. Are we focusing on God's plan for our life and looking forward to eternity? Or are we focusing on what we can do and achieve and accomplish in our own life? What are you spending your time? What are you thinking about? Are you consumed with this? Are you focused on mission instead of focused on what God has for you and His mission to share with you about eternity? Where's your rewards and your treasure? What are you focused on? It's up to you. The choice is you, but I'm telling you, time is running out. Time is running out, and what do you do? What do you do with the time He's given you? It's going to be laid in your lap. What do you do? Are you focused on where you'll spend eternity? Are you focused on where others that you love and where God's placed in your path is going to spend eternity? I think today may be a day that we begin to repent of our sins and turn our focus upon God and His mission for each of us and begin to run the race that's forward to the finish line. What you do with that little red part determines where you're going to spend eternity. You do realize that. What you do with the red part determines where you're going to spend eternity. I'm going to heaven, but I want to enjoy life and don't want to give up. So when you face God, and you say, I want to continue my own selfish, self-pleasure ways, but I believe in God, That day when you face him face to face, you'll more likely hear these words, depart from me, I never knew you. But yes, I had all this information about you. I did all these things in your name. I even spoke your name some. But you never repented of your own self-pleasured life and followed me. And you've always trusted in you and never trusted in me. I never knew you. Depart. Look at verse 20. When their father threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them because of the people. For all men glorified God for that which was done. God has saved me, not by my works, not by anything that I've ever done. God saved me. He's blessed me beyond measure, beyond what I deserve. He's convicted me of my wrongdoings and I'm still in process. He has converted me to be His man and His ambassador and His Christian leader. And I praise Him because it's nothing that I have done, but I'm here to tell you, I'm still in training, and I'm here to tell you that I am not going to shut up about the name of Jesus Christ that can save you, that can change your life, that can give you total destination for your life, and give you focus and hope beyond measure that nothing on this earth could ever measure up to this morning or any time in life. Do you know Him today? Are you serving Him today? Have you trusted Him and placed your faith in Him today? I cannot be silent of what He's done for me. I cannot shut up about Him. I don't want to talk about the weather or the sports or whatever else is going on. I want to talk about Jesus that can save your soul from eternity separated from Him in a place called hell. I will testify to his name, will you? For as long as I shall live, I will testify to his love. I'll be a witness in the silences when words are not enough. With every breath I take, I give thanks to God above. For as long as I shall live, I will testify to his love. Have you been forgiven? Have you repented of your self-righteousness, self-centered ways, and turned to Christ and placed your faith in Him? Then you should testify. From the mountains to the valleys, from the rivers to the sea, every hand that reaches out, every hand that reaches out to offer peace, every simple act of mercy, every step to kingdom come, and the hope in every heart will ever speak what love has done. Will you testify to His love? today. Unless you repent and place your faith in God, this is the truth. We're going to share the truth. Unless you repent and place your faith in God, you're going to spend eternity separated from God. God does love you, but He sent His Son, Jesus, that if you'll believe in Him, that you will not perish, but have everlasting life, you must repent of your ways and turn toward Him, and place your faith and trust in Him. Christian friend, if you've done that, there's something inside of you that stirs you up, that you will testify to His love. There's something inside of you that's changed. And I'm still learning. The more I get to know Him, the more I'm astonished at His love. The more I get to know Him, the more mercy and grace that I know He offers me. The more I get to know Him, the sense of urgency to tell somebody else about Him instills my heart and stirs me up to do something different than I've ever done before, to speak in His name and to share Him wherever I go and get the opportunities. This past week, I'll share this. A little boy wanted to talk to me. So he comes back to the office. We talk for a few minutes and we begin to talk about salvation. And this young guy, he said, I've just been curious about this. And I said, Will, do you want to pray about this? Is this something you want to consider? Accepting Christ and trusting Him? Placing your faith in Him? Or is this something that you want to do right now? He said, I'm not sure. He said, I don't know if God's calling me and drawing me yet or not. So I think I just want to pray about this and consider it. I said, that's fine. I don't want to push a child. I want the Spirit of God to draw. So we're out and about. Teacher came to me and said, He wants to speak to you again. So we talked some more and he had a question. When was God born? I said, are you talking about God or are you talking about Jesus? No, God. I know Jesus was born of a virgin. I said, okay. God's always been. Huh. I've been thinking about that a lot. I said, well, Jesus has always been, but he transferred from heaven to earth for us. And we begin to talk about it. Okay. So he's off again. Third time, getting closer to 830 when we're gonna dismiss. Came running around here, preach, preach, I need to talk to you, I need to talk to you. I think God is calling me. I think he's pulling at my heart. I need to talk to you. I'm like, wow, this is, you just see the lowest kid. There's something going on in this kid's life. We get back to the office and he's ready to pray the prayer and ask Jesus in his heart and say, you have placed my faith and trust in you forever, God. And so this morning, prayerfully, he's talking to his pastor. but he wanted to get saved. Praise God for the eagerness. Praise God for the urgency. Don't be fooled. Don't be fooled, folks. Time's running out. Where are you going to place the emphasis of your life? Where are you going to spend eternity? It's up to you. Other people out here need to know the truth. They're looking for fulfillment. Just like the video you saw. What's different? Let's pray together. Father in heaven, this morning, Your Holy Spirit's pricking our hearts to come to know You as Savior, drawing us this morning to salvation. So I'm here this morning, Lord. I've been playing games way too long, religious games, and Satan has silenced too many Christians, God, so this morning I pray that Your Holy Spirit would just begin to deal with hearts. I pray Lord, as we are, come to you. Turn over our lives to you. Trust you and place our faith in you. Oh Lord, far too long. The wondering, It's time, Lord, for us to ask forgiveness and trust in You and focus on You in eternity. Father, this morning, everything is said, everything is done is for You and for Your glory. I pray that, God, that souls are saved this morning. I pray that God that Christians are stirred up to testify about you, to brag on you. God, there's loved ones that need to give their life to you, turn their life back over to you. May God you work a work that can only be you and accomplish it for your glory. In Christ's name I pray. Amen. Would you please stand for this invitation. you Many people that we meet, 175 plus this past week, there's a lot of needs. Don't allow Satan to silence you, to tell you. Don't get involved. You don't need to speak up. Don't do it in a mean, hateful way and out of flesh, but speak up in the name of Jesus in love because you care. Share about Him. Don't let Satan win the victory anymore. God's stirring in the hearts of some this morning. I want you to know that God's still working on you and God loves you. Don't tarry too long to make your decision. Time's getting short. I know that People we love, we'd like to fleshly just bring them along, but we can't. The Holy Spirit as God is the one that does that. And we allow Him to work because He's more powerful than we are. So we pray. Praise God, that just as I was, He reached out and saved me. Are you glad He saved you? Many more needs to be saved. Praise God for the four that was this week in the efforts and all things was done. I praise God for all the leadership and all the things that was done. All the workers, everybody that participated, everybody that was support teams. Man, what an awesome job you did. and it was for God's glory as a body of one serving the Lord. It was amazing to see how everybody just worked and loved on kids. Even the moments when you were ready to pull your hair, you didn't do it around the kids. I was the only one that got the privilege of seeing that. It was only a few times. But praise God for the seeds and all the others that was here. These kids wanted to talk to people. Some of the adults wanted to talk to somebody. And God's still at work. I could tell by the closing night that God was still working in the hearts and lives. So thank you in advance for those who are going to get saved by the seeds that was sown throughout this past week. Someone had texted me that had supported us And they said, you know, Pastor, it's all worth it if just one, trust in Christ. And I said, Amen. He gave us four for our labors, and I think He's going to give us more. Praise God for that. As we dismiss, Brother Tom, would you dismiss us in prayer, please? Good morning. We are so glad you've decided to join us here at Rome Creek Baptist Church this morning for services.
