Ephesians class number 34. We're going to go back and review something right now. We're going to start with number 4 and 27, but I'm going to go back to 3 and 11 for just a minute. 3 and 11. It says, according to the eternal purpose of the ages, which He made, or laid down, or worked out in Christ Jesus the Lord of us. God's eternal purpose in the ages. Many times in theology and in churches today, there are some real lot of confusing things out in churches today. Especially in charismatic churches. Because they don't depend upon the Bible. It's constant revelation. Constant revelation. And their constant revelation actually just erases the Bible. The revelations of the Bible. Because if they think that they get revelation, then that's superseded because it's from God. How could it be wrong if it's from God? No matter what the Bible says, God maybe changed His mind. Today. God's eternal purpose. God's eternal purpose started in eternity past, didn't it? It said before God created anything, He wrote our names in the Lamb's Book of Life because God is all-knowing. And He laid out His plan to how that He would do things. He created the heavens and the earth in eternity past. There's another theological problem that people don't understand. The earth is not 6,000 years old. It was created in eternity past. It wasn't created in time, it was created in eternity past. Genesis 1 and 1 and Genesis 1 and 2, there's a great gap between that. Barashith bara elihim et ha'shamayim v'et ha'aretz, it says in the original language. In one of the beginnings, or in beginnings, it says He had created God. That beginnings out there is in eternity past. It's not in time. He had created the heavens and the earth. And then it says, And the earth shall become formless and void. God didn't create the earth formless and void. The earth became formless and void. Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28. Satan destroyed it. He was over the material creation of God. Let me also reiterate this. When God created the heavens and the earth, he had already created angels and spirits, so they could see the creation of God as he created it. There are angels and spirits. Angels are masculine in gender. Spirits are, as far as we can understand, neuter. Spirits. An angel has form. An angel is triune. A spirit, as far as we can understand from the Bible, what we can reveal to us is duel, not triune. Because it has no body, it has no form. Spirits have to seek to dwell in human or animal flesh. That is demon spirit. Demon, daemonia, means little gods. They're supernatural. Now, God did not plan for angels to procreate, but angels are masculine. They're able to do that, but they were not planned to procreate. And in Genesis, the sixth chapter, we find that the angelic world, some of them, decided to marry women, sons of men, and they brought forth giants, the Nephilim. Later on, before the flood, they were there, and then it says after the flood also. according to the book of Genesis and the book of Jasher. Tells you a lot about it. The book of Enoch also. All the ancient Hebrew writings talks about the angels marrying women and bringing forth a race of giants and then God sent forth flood. Now He created Adam and Esau and Eve. He took her from his body God didn't take a rib from Adam and make a woman. He took, it says, bone of his bones, and fleshes of his fleshes, and blood of his blood. Everything that made woman came out of man before he fell in his fallen state, so it was in his pristine unfallen state that he created woman. Bones, flesh and blood, not a rib. They didn't know how to translate it. King James come along and they just said a rib. It literally means sides. And Adam said, here from my flesh and bones and my blood I have had this woman, Ishah. Ishah came out a man. Then they sinned. They brought curse and death upon man. First of all, the only thing they had in the garden that they couldn't do was to mess with God's tree of knowledge of good and evil, but they did. Eve was deceived by Satan, and the man was not deceived, but he followed his wise witches and they ate, and it doesn't say that they partook of the tree, they kept on eating from the tree and they kept on taking from the tree, until probably every fruit on it made it their tree. They might have eaten every leaf off of it, limb and whatever. But it was not theirs to have, it was God's. Then God took twice man, He said, do good and offer blood sacrifice. The blood sacrifice represented the Christ to come. This is God's eternal purpose. When we get back to the book of Ephesians, and 3 and 11 where it says, He did everything according to Christ. Then Genesis, the third chapter, verse 15, God promised a Messiah from the woman. The fulfillment of that is Ephesians 3 and 11, and Galatians 4 and 4. When the fullness of time had come, God said, Morthy's none, made of a woman, made under the law, that he might write and redeem those that were under the curse of the law. So, God promised. Here we have the angels married with women during this period of time. We have a race of giants according to Jasher in the book of Enoch, both. In Ephesians 6, or not Ephesians 6, Genesis 6, According to Genesis 6 chapter it says that they became mighty on the earth, that these giants were, these Nephilim, these fallen ones. According to Jasher and the book of Enoch it tells you more about it. That they began to eat animals. Animals were not given to man to eat at all. They began to drink their blood. And they began to eat men. They began to eat people, cannibals. And then God said, that's enough. And he brought the flood. He told Noah to build an ark, and Noah did. We had the flood that destroyed all flesh, what we might call land flesh. The only things that made it through there were porpoises, or mammals, and so are whales. And they made it through there. And the fish. But the birds. Every bird that was going to live was going to go into the ark, and we'd find out all about that. Then he told mankind to scatter and multiply, but instead of that, we have Nimrod and his mother building a tower. And that was going to be a one world religion and a one world empire. Well, God divided the earth. First of all, he confused the languages. People went where they could understand each other, then God divided the earth. That's where we have the continents of the Earth. That's where we have the North and South America. We have the Australia. We have the African continent. We have European continents. We have all these continents dividing. And when the Earth divided like that, those big buildings and cities that were building were being shook down. God's eternal purpose. God would bring all things back into harmony with Himself through Jesus Christ, that's Ephesians 3 and 11 and several other places in the Bible. We have the languages confused, we have the earth divided, and we come over here and we have the promise, God called out Abraham. Abraham was the seed of Zeth and Shem. He was from those, the substitute. Jesus was our substitute. He's what brings us back into harmony with God. The book of Ephesians tells us all about this. Tells us all about, and tells us how to stay in harmony with God also. The promise, Abraham never did receive the land that God promised him, but he believed it. Isaac had Jacob and Jacob had 12 sons. His first son was Esau, the rejected one. The Bible says in the book of Malachi and in the New Testament also, it says that Jacob I loved and Esau I hated. Why did he hate Esau? Because Esau hated God and he hated the promises of God. He was a materialistic person. Materialistic. I want to tell you something else now when we're going on that. Esau, the God of his belly, the God of his belly. Isaac, the God of Isaac is his belly too. That's why he called his son Esau to feed him this wild game. And then he was going to bless him in spite of what God's promise was, in spite of him selling his birthright to his brother. Went lentils, rye, wine, and bread. He sold his birthright for the cheapest elements. He didn't care about it. He hated his promises to God. But he still wanted them when it came time. And Isaac, even though he knew that he wasn't supposed to be the promised son, he was going to bless the wrong time. So God had to blind him. Why Esau was blind, or Isaac was blind, because he couldn't tell what he was going to do. Because God knew beforehand what he was going to do. Well, we know that Jacob got the promises. Jacob had 12 sons. The sons of Israel went down into the Egyptian land, Pharaoh. Joseph was actually the king of Egypt in all reality. The Pharaoh of Egypt or the king of Egypt didn't do anything without Joseph telling him what to do. Got down there and then that lineage of Pharaohs went away. And a new group came in and they were afraid of the Jewish people, of the Hebrews, of the sons of Jacob. So they began to persecute them and to demand that the boys, the firstborn, or all the boys be, not only the firstborn, but all the boys, the males of the sons of Israel, be exterminated, thrown into the Nile River, exposed. Finally, Moses' family exposed him, but God protected him. And then God let him stay in Pharaoh's house for the first 40 years of his life, even though he had been raised in his own family's home. The second 40 years he was out there in that desert, and then God, after he was 80 years old, called him back to go in and rescue his people. Moses means to draw out, to rescue, and to abandon. Israel felt like they were abandoned in the land of Egypt. But God rescued them, said Moses. Then God gave Moses the law. And the law was the instrument to bring Israel to God and in harmony with God. But the Israelites never kept the law. Even the Pharisees, they didn't really keep the law. They kept their interpretation of the Law, which we have in the Mishnah and the Talmud. Their interpretation of the Law. They began to worship the Word instead of God. God brought them out, and then He gave them this Law, and then He gave them the prophets. And the prophets all pointed them to the Messiah to come, Genesis 3.15. We saw the old man and the old woman in the temple area, that were absolutely thrilled that they had seen the promised Messiah born. And then we see the religious leaders of Israel to reject Him, and the whole book of Ephesians, and the book of Galatians, the book of Hebrews, several of these New Testament books were to tell them, you missed the boat. The Messiah came, you missed the boat. Get back on the boat. listen to the promises of God once more and obey them. And we're in the church age now. God called out His little assembly. There's the seashores of Galilee. And He gave them the New Testament. Through His apostles and writers of the Hakein and Abiath that they gave. The New Covenant, the New Testament. And the New Covenant is going to be in effect all the way up to the tribulation period. At the rapture, the church will be called away. There will be seven years of rejoicing in heaven and the marriage with God's bride, His church, His true New Testament church. They will be guests at the wedding. There will be Israelites there also. There Peter and Paul and James and all of those are going to witness the espoused bride marry her husband. And then comes the millennial reign. These things are very important to understand the difference of these. If you don't understand the plan of God, how in the world can you even interpret the Bible? Israel, again, will be brought back to God in Ezekiel 36, 25-38. For 1,000 years, there will be a reign on this earth, God's kingdom, age. for 1,000 years, and it will be centered around Jerusalem in the Middle East, in the land of Canaan, called the land of Palestine. It's Israel, but it is the land of Canaan, the land of possession. That's the possession that God promised. Canaan means to possess, gotten. And then comes the eternal ages. But before the eternal ages, we have all the resurrection of all mankind. that were lost, and all men are judged. And there is where they're cast into the lake of fire. And then comes the eternal ages to come that we look forward to. That's the heavenly age for ever and ever and ever. Yom-Tan-Yom-Tan-Yom, or Wam as it is in Hebrew, where you cannot see any longer, that's just where it begins. Now let's go back to the book of Ephesians, And let's see what God wants us to do while we wait for His promises to come true. What God wants us to do while we wait for His promises to come true. In the Amplified Bible, we're going to read it from Hebrew also, but the Amplified Bible, it starts out in verse number 27. Well, let's go back to 25, because that's where the subject actually begins. Therefore, rejecting all falsehood, whether lying, defrauding, telling half-truths, spreading rumors, and any such of these, speak truth, each one to another, to his neighbor. For we are all parts of one another, and we are all parts of the body of Christ. And that's basically quoting back from Zechariah 8 and verse 16. And then in verse number 26, it says, Be angry and send love. at immorality, at injustice and ungodly behavior, yet do not sin. Be angry and sin not. That's what Jesus did. Wasn't he angry when he went into the temple area where they were merchandising the temple of God, the house of God, and it had become a bank, a stock market, a gambling house, basically. Do not let your anger cause you to shame or allow it to last until the sun goes down. Verse number 27 now, where we're going to start. And do not grieve the devil, or do not give the devil, that is, opportunity to lead you into sin by holding a grudge or nurturing anger or harboring resentment or cultivating bitterness. 28. The thief who has become a believer must not no longer steal, but instead he must work hard, making an honest living, producing that which is good with his own hands so that he will have something to share with those in need. In other words, let the thief no longer be a thief, but a giver, a philanthropist. Do not let unwholesome, foul, profane, worthless, vulgar words ever come out of your mouth. And I see this so much today. Children of God that just talk like the world. But only such speech as is good for building up others according to the need and to the occasion so that it will be a blessing to those who hear what you say. Don't curse the world, don't constantly talk with cursing words. People in polite society, when I was growing up, I mean you might hear from in the bars and the ballrooms and things from the old time, you might hear vulgar language. But you never heard it in society. You would never hear it recorded and publicized. Now it is common. Very common today. Vulgar language and vulgar words. You see it on television. You see the political, what we call radicals out there screaming and hollering, denouncing, denouncing, and this and that. and blankety-blank and blankety-blank and blankety-blank. You listen to the speeches of the presidents and the senators of old, and you never heard that. Not publicly. You might have heard it behind closed doors, but not publicly. Now it's common. Let's start here, verse number 27. Mayday, denote, To pon, to diabolum. Neither ye give, and this is a word here, didote, that is in the imperative mode, second person plural, present imperative active. Neither or nor, that comes from may and day. May, weak adversity particle of negation, and day, a weak adversity conjunctive. In other words, neither or nor, a little correlative there, ye give, and this is the command, don't give place. Topos, that means place. Don't give a place to the devil. Don't give him a foothold, don't give him a foot track in. The Bible In the Old and the New Testament both is a language, a very much figurative language. It's a very figurative, a very explanatory language. When God took Adam and hypnotized him, that's the word hypnosis there, in the Old Testament, he hypnotized him. And he took from his sides, he took blood, and he took bone, and he took flesh, and he And he made woman to look like man. She had two feet, two hands, two eyes, one mouth, two ears, just like him. And she walked upright. And he looked at her and he said, she is my foot track. She's my foot track. My foot track. She makes tracks just like I do. I can walk along the sandy shore there and I can see her foot tracks and it looks like my foot track. It doesn't look like a foot track of a deer or a coyote or a lion or an elephant or anything. It looks like my foot track. Exciting. Looks like my foot track. Now here, it has a figure of speech, the topos, like he said, don't give a place. Don't give a place for one foot track of Satan. Don't give Satan a place to put his feet down in your life. Satan should no longer take up any space in our lives at all for the place that he took in our lives before was nothing but slavery. Slavery, sin, and sadness and depression. And why? Just look what people do to each other in the world. Think about that for a while. What people do to each other in the world. The wicked things. Marilyn and I were watching a movie yesterday It was an old John Wayne movie, and it was called Big Jake. We had Richard Boone there come in here. He's a bad guy here. He was the guy Paladin, and part of the movie was put up here also, was filmed up here. And Paladin series was filmed in Long Pine also, most of it, a lot of it. But Richard Boone was a bad guy. And he comes up here to this great big ranch, and he said he wanted a job there. He was lying. So it looked like you got a lot of money here. He said, you know what, the bad thing about having money is somebody's always trying to get it. And that's a problem. Somebody's trying to get your wife or your husband or your money or your car or your house. And we see that so much today. When you're out in the world, it is commonplace among heathens and convicts and thugs and con artists to try to take what you have. If you have the internet, which almost everybody does in the world nowadays, somebody's always on there trying to get your social security number, trying to get your bank account number or something. Oh, I have something I want to give you. I inherited billions of dollars. I'm one of the richest people in the world, and I want to make you part of my heirs, but I need your bank account number to put money in your bank for you. and then your bank account is empty. Discovered the word with drjim.com. I lost that website a couple of years ago. It was stolen from me. I dealt with Halweb, I think it was, and I kept talking to him and they They stopped talking to me on the phone. We don't have a phone number anymore. And you have to have a Windows 10 or later computer to talk to us. Well, I didn't have and I don't have. Well, anyway, they auctioned off my website to some bunch over there in China. Well, they contacted me and said, you have to buy your website back. Well, I spent several hundred dollars trying to buy it back. I even talked to Mechanics Bank where they had taken money out of my bank account, almost $400. And I called them, called them with their numbers, called them, emailed them, and, oh, yes, we have it. We'll sell it back to you. Yes, yes, yes. And they took my money. And then they sold my website again. And then the people that bought it again, whether it was the same bunch or not, I don't not know. I kept trying to get them to release my website to me, because we had probably $50,000 in that website, and thousands and thousands of hours of work in it. But they stole it. We could not get it back. I called Mechanics Bank and told them they stole it. They said, well, you gave them permission to take the money out of the bank. I said, for my website I did. I never got the website. I never got the material. I never got the software back, so to speak. Stealing, stealing, stealing. That's what the world does. Don't give place in your lives for that. The devil works in all of that. Can children of God be dishonest? Yes, they sure can. Can children of God use their businesses to influence others and to get people's business? And they used to put fish sign on them, you know, a little fish sign. I've been ripped off by Christians too. Should we give that place in Satan's life to use our Christianity to be a, what we might call a marketing place. Look what Jesus did when he walked into the temple area and they were selling and changing money and all this. He said, you've made my house, my father's house, a den of thieves. Satan should no longer take up any part or space in our lives. His part was in our lives before we became saved. He should have no place in our lives now. Number one, 428 now. Ho klepton, meke te, klepte to, molon de, kopiato, ergos ominos, teis, carison, to, agathon, hina, eke, meta denone, Whole Crayon Ecote. Whole Klepton. Whole is not only a singular masculine definite article. The One Stealing. The Kleptomaniac. You know, I've seen people, they were very rich, that would go into a store and steal. just to be doing, see if they can get by with it. They just filled their house up with stolen goods because they thought they could do it. The one stealing, that's present participle, active, nominative, singular, masculine. That's the one doing it by habit, continually stealing. The one stealing wants a thief, that's how he makes his living, being a thief. We got a word kleptomaniac right out of this word. No longer mechete. No longer may and ete. May, particle of negation. Ete, that means a period of time. No longer steal. Third person singular present imperative active. No longer steal. Don't do it. Rather Milan, that's an adverb, a comparative adverb there. Milan, day, weak adversive conjunctive, but moreover labor. Copiato. You know, God wants us to work. Our problem with society in America today is we raised a generation of people that don't want to work. Do you know that? We raised a generation of people that don't want to get their hands dirty. They want to sit behind some desk and tell somebody what to do. They want to graduate right from school and go to work as an executive CEO and become like the world. You've seen those movies, a lot of them, all kinds of things like this. Wall Street and everything just constantly setting behind the desk. But even doing that, you have to work. You have to work. There's a place for that type of work in the world today, but there's a place to get your hands dirty. You know, I'm going to use a good close friend of mine, Dr. Mincy, who lives in Bakersfield, California. up out of Bakersfield there. Good friend of mine. He's a doctor. He's a neurosurgeon. He's a physician. He's a very talented doctor. He's also a pilot, an airplane pilot. He's also a pilot of boats, how to travel across the sea. He's a good mechanic. And he does mechanics. He built his own helicopter. He's a mechanic. He's all these things. You know, God wants you to work with your hands. It's good for you. It's good to build something. I don't care what kind of a job you've got as a CEO or whatever. It's good for you to go out and do something with your hands. Jay Leno here a while back, you know, he got burned pretty bad working on one of his cars. He liked to get his hands dirty every now and then. I love to do mechanic work, I like to work on guns, I like to do all kinds of work. I don't want to retire. I never want to retire. People want to retire so they can go sit on the beach and drink their little tequilas or whatever you call it, with their little umbrellas and everything, and sit back and just watch the world go by. For what? There's time for relaxation, but every day? Not good for you. It's good for you to work, it's good for you to get your heart beating a little bit fast and to labor. That's what it says here, the labor, the copiato. You know what that word copiato means? It means to strain at something. To strain at it. To pull on a wrench. To dig a ditch. To roll a big rock. To do something that causes you what we might call cardiovascular exercise. Good for you to do that. Copiato and then Ergos Ominos. Working. Working. Nomine Singularis Present Participle Middle Voice. Working because you want to work. Working because you want to work. There are some people that cannot physically do labor. because they have infirmities. They can use their mind. One of the most hard-working little individuals that I ever saw in my life was Dr. Carl E. Burrard. When he was five years old, he got muscular dystrophy, and he was the oldest living muscular dystrophy victim that I know of, I believe, when he died, finally, up in his 80s. He worked. He studied, studied, studied, constantly studying, constantly working. When I went to the seminary, the first week, he heard about me, about my study habits and everything, and what I had done. And I got hurt in the oil fields, and I had a back operation, and I was laid up for years. Couldn't hardly walk. I was going to be a parent. I was going to be paralyzed. And they fused my back and saved that. Still hurts me every day. But I had time to go to seminary. I changed my hard working habits from working in oil fields, throwing chains, pulling slips, and digging ditches, and hard laborious work, hauling mud sacks, and concrete, and everything, hundreds of pounds at a time, upstairs, and loading them, and dumping them into mud tanks, and all of that. Working derrick, working, throwing chain, doing whatever you did on oil fields, even drilling, running the draw works. I did all those things. But I put in that same force that I had in hard working at the study in God's Word. I studied Greek and Hebrew, everything I could lay my hands on. I read every textbook of every seminary. And then when I finally got to go to seminary where I got to where I could drive again, I was pretty advanced. And so they put me in to being the substitute teacher in almost every class I had. And he was one of them. But I saw that man work hard teaching. One of the things he did, he talked. He would throw his voice. He'd get in a classroom and talk. And they said one of the first things happens when you have muscular dystrophy, your lungs can no longer breathe and you suffocate. And because he taught for so many years and would sit four hours a day teaching, teaching, teaching, teaching, he extended his life. because of hard labor breathing. Working because you want to. With your hands. With your hands. It's good to work with your hands. He could hardly work with his hands but he turned a million pages. Millions of pages. I have books here today that he gave to me. Working with your hands toward good. The good stuff. Ton Agathon. working with your karas, keresen, to agathon, to do good work. In order that, hina, little conjunction there, page 201 in the lexicon, in order that, ye may have, third person singing or present, subjunctive active, and I've ordered subjunctive there, that means you may or may not have. You may work, you may not work. Some people are just absolutely lazy, aren't they? My grandmother used to say, they wouldn't hit a lick of the snake if it was about to bite them. Lazy. That they may have enough, meta di donne, to share. Now, you don't grab and collect everything, but you share what you have. You share what you have. To share it to the one needy, to the one need having, constantly having. Sometimes people need an act of kindness, don't they? You know, here in Fish Lake Valley where we live, it's kind of like people lived 100 years ago in some ways. We have a community center. We have Thanksgiving dinners. We have Christmas dinners. The whole valley comes. We have New Year's celebrations and things. Everybody comes. Easter celebration, all of that, everybody come. And down at the dump, we have a dump. A community of people needs to have someplace to dump their trash. Now, when I was young up here, there were probably 20 dumps in this Fish Lake Valley, and now people go out there looking for treasures in those dumps. Old bottles of different things, spoons and knives and forks and plates. But down in our dump, we have a couple of big dumpsters down there. And then we have a place for old washing machines and dryers and refrigerators and everything. Then we have a place for building material. Then we have a place where you throw your limbs and trash and whatever there. And then you have a place for recycled for oil and a place for ashes. But they go down there and then you have these two big dumpsters out there. And people, if they got something that's good, they will put it out there. And somebody that needs it will take it. Without cost. And I've put a lot of things out there. I've gone down there and I've seen brand new beds, still in the wrappers, in the plastic covers. I've seen everything you can think of down there. Toys, whatever. They take them and they leave them there so somebody else can use them. Books? Books. Movies. CDs. DVDs. Whatever. Even music albums on CD and cassette and VHS, whatever. You see them sitting someplace all the time. They leave them in the post office. They leave them by the dump. They leave them down at the hardware store. You see all these things. People giving things away. Sharing what they have for others that don't have it. We're supposed to be sharers in this world now. We get to share God's creation, don't we? I love living here. I don't know how long I'm going to be able to live here or whether I'll die here or whatever. I hope that I can if I can keep going physically. But I get to enjoy God's world here every day. I see the little wild quail and the doves come in. I see the deer walk by and the antelope. I see all these animals, the wild horses come along and stay in the yard and they will walk around here for days at a time. I get to share God's world with them. I can see it still. I can still hear some of it. And I can feel the sunshine. I can feel the coolness of the evening. And I can lay down and rest. I can get out and work. All in God's creation. Our Father, we send this message out through God in the world. Please use it. Please scatter your blessings throughout the world. Help us share it with the world. your word and your knowledge and your love. Please forgive me for I fail you. In Jesus name I pray.
