acts chapter number twenty seven let me say this if you're here tonight you wanted to be it but what it's doing outside for sure uh... act twenty seven my plan is to get these two chapters in and we will finish hopefully uh... the book of acts tonight a lot of it these latter chapters is a lot of narrative basically just reading in the common uh... maybe commented on a few verses maybe a word that sold elizabethan english and you have to figure out what the definition is all that kind of thing uh... so that's our plan , let me say this, uh... obviously we follow the leadership of the lord i understand that but uh... there's a subject or have to be a certain book don't have to be a book what we're doing the book of acts he could be a certain subject uh... things about nature acts twenty seven only two more chapters the apostle paul is obviously in custody now these first let me say first uh... seven verses Let me show you this map. Those of you at home, you can see this on your screen. Caesarea, remember? That's where the Apostle Paul went before all these people. They're trying to kill him. They're trying to get him back down to Jerusalem so they can plot to kill him and this, that, and the other. He has appealed unto Caesar. Well, Caesar is way over here in Rome, Rome, Italy, and so he catches a ship. and uh... they stop here's what they call the fourth missionary journey paul's fourth missionary journey some of the paul's and say a few of these names i'm not gonna read all of them here because all you have to do is start in verse one go down the verse seven eighty whatever in it and this is what it says well they went over here and they say old pass cypress and they come to this place mara uh... and and and what they do this what to do This is not just one ship. They'll go to this port right here, find another ship going this direction. They come down here to Crete. They catch another ship going over here. You see what I'm saying? It's like if you were taking a trip to London, you would go from here probably to Atlanta and get off there, get onto another plane, and this is what they're doing. It's not just one ship going all of this if it was just one ship, one is good and go straight over this way Uh, there's, uh, Mileta. That's where the snake bite happens. That's in chapter 28. We'll get to that tonight. Mileta. Uh, Syracuse all the way up and finally he winds up in, uh, Rome. And that's what happens, notice verse number one of chapter 27. And when it was determined that we should sail unto Italy, notice we. The writer of the book of Acts is Luke. This guy right here. Luke is the writer of the book of Acts. And so when he says we, he's included, so obviously they have allowed. Now remember this, Luke is a physician by trade. So the Apostle Paul and Luke are close friends. So obviously Luke is going along with Paul even in custody to be his personal physician, caretaker, friend, whatever. So when it says we sailed unto Italy, that is included Luke. Luke is with him. So that's something of interest. We should sail unto Italy. They delivered Paul and certain other prisoners unto one Julius, a centurion of the Augustus band. Y'all remember in Acts chapter number 10, I don't have it up here, but Acts chapter number 10, there was a fellow by the name of Cornelius. He was a Gentile and he was, what was it, an Italian band. uh... just a band of soldiers they called the attire and by and this guy julius is over the augustus by uh... it's just uh... a group of soldiers that this particular person is over centurion century that's a hundred hundred million uh... that's who they're over centurion uh... verse two and entering into the ship and see here we go we start naming all of these places uh... that they stopped here and they go there and the verse three in the next day we touched its side on and julius courteously entreated paul and gave him liberty to go into his friends to refresh himself notice paul is in jail he's in custody but he has liberty and he has freedom In other words, it'd be like one of the trustees here at Dyer County. You know, they have trustees and you will see them out. they're in custody but they have freedom to go maybe do a job here and there and they don't have handcuffs on them all the way they call them trustees uh... this is paul god's giving him favor and uh... giving him liberty to his friends to refresh himself and so on and so forth verse four and when we had launched from thence we sailed into cyprus because the winds were contrary and then verse five they go to pamphylia myra we already seen that on the map Verse six, and there the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing into Italy, and he put us therein. See, they're changing ships. And that's the reading. And in verse seven, and when we had sailed slowly many days and scarce were come over against Nidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed undecreed over against Salmon. and hardly passing it came into a place which is called the fair havens showed you that on the map uh... the fair havens not where and it was uh... the city of uh... uh... let's see uh... let's say or here we go look at first night and when much time was spent and when sailing was now dangerous because the fire was not was now already passed paul it modestly now that fast is probably probably the day of atonement which puts this around uh... september october you're fixing to see a lot of talk about winter that november all here we go so that just by certain words that they say you can sort of figure out what time of the year it's in alright so paul the prisoners the attack of the augustus band a hundred soldiers here julius and all these prisoners are on the ship and uh... paul is fixing to stand up and say something verse ten and he said to them, sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage not only of the lading uh... and ship but also of our lives guys I'm here to tell you I don't know much about ships I don't sail for a living but I'm here to tell you uh... that if we continue we're fixing to run into some trouble and we're Possibly we're gonna lose the ship. We're gonna lose the cargo the lading and Possibly our lives. All right, so put yourselves in this situation. You got these guys that are Professional shipment and you got a prisoner trying to give you advice And so let's see what happens verse 11 nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship more than those things which were spoken by Paul and Now, here's something just in passing, let me say. Sometimes, sometimes the God-called preacher has some inside info that nobody else has. sometimes that happens that's why he's he's we call him the pastor of a a church the overseer he's to watch care over uh... i give you an example this has not happened here but i'm just sayin' in my many years of experience sometimes somebody will come up and say well i want you to have so-and-so in here to preach and so-and-so may be a good preacher but i may know something about so-and-so that you don't know and i don't want him preaching sometimes the pastor of the man has more insight info that's why you got a preacher watch care that doesn't mean i know everything that doesn't mean i know more than you sometimes just god will give paul and inside we don't need to say all that we fix it lose the whole ship never thought And they didn't listen and so let's see what happens. Verse 12. And because the haven was not commodious to winter in. Commodious. Suitable. Suitable. That word suitable. In other words, because the haven was not suitable to winter in. The more part advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might obtain into Phineas and there to winter, which is a haven of Crete, and life toward the southwest and the northwest, and so on and so forth. And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, losing fence, we sailed close to Crete." Now you can follow all of this. There's the Crete right down here about Fairhaven. You see Fairhaven, Salmon, all that right there. You'll see where they're at. And this is where they're at. There's a storm brewing. Paul says, we don't need to leave this place. and everybody says no we don't want to spend the winter and create for three months so we fix in the head on out and get on to our destination in italy so here we go over fourteen but not long after their roles against it at the pestilence wind called iraq without just like we name our hurricanes hurricane katrina this at the other there's uh... storm called iraq without and when the ship was called and could not bear up in the way and we let her drive now the words when the ship uh... couldn't i mean the storm was just basically they got the soils in the wind is driving the ship you'll see here uh... a lot of wind talk the wind was coming from the south of the north of this uh... the south wind blew softly and this they got their uh... the sails up and that's how what's driving the ship when the storm comes they pull the the sails down and just let the ship go let her drive because you can't fight it that's what that means All right, verse 15, when the ship was caught, we could not bear, but we let her drive. And verse 16, and running under a certain island, which is called, is that Clauda? We had much work to come by the boat. Running under, you'll see that word running under. What they would do, let me get back over here. what they would call running under they would get by an island and they would use that island the block uh... block the way and and try to block the storm so they would run they what they would call running under now they're not running under the island but they're running and they called it running under and they would let that uh... hopefully that would block some of the uh... wind in the storm and all of that uh... saver seventeen which when they had taken that they used helps undergirding the ship and fearing less they should fall in the quicksands uh... strike sale they let the files down and uh... so we're driven undergirding the ship is uh... what they would do when they get into store uh... they would uh... they would have wrote that they would go under is under the ship is almost like a new you shape several ropes along that ship and they would uh... that thing and they would have those things off and it would keep the ship from breaking in half it's undergirding the ship verse 18 and we being exceedingly tossed with the tempest the next day uh... they lighten the ship all right they start throwing out cargo the third day we cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship and uh... when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared and no small tempest lay on us if it's no small tempest it's a big one you see that all hope that we should be saved was then taken away they have done everything they can do they've lightened the ship they've thrown over cargo they've tried they've uh... undergirded the ship they've done everything they know to do and now they're looking and it looks like all hope that we should be saved has now been taken away but watch now think with me for a second paul is on this ship god wants paul where? in rome so do you think paul is going to die on this ship because god says i want you over there but now in the process god's gonna make him think he's about to die don't that happen to us in the christian life we disobey god god says okay i'm gonna get you to the other side but you're gonna you're gonna think you're dying before you get there you should have listened to me Jonah, Old Testament, go to Nineveh, Jonah says, I'm going the other way, I'm gonna take a cruise, I got a five-day cruise, fully paid for over here, I'm going over here, and then all of a sudden a whale comes, Jonah thinks he's about dead, he's safe. All right, verse 21, but after long abstinence, Paul stood forth in the midst of them and said, sir, now this is funny to me, It's one of those I told you so moments, you know. Paul stood forth in the midst of them and said, sirs, you should have hearkened unto me and not have loosed from Crete and to have gained this harm and loss. And now I exhort you to be of good cheer. for their uh... shall be no loss of any man's life among you but of the ship in other words the only thing we're gonna lose is a ship no man's gonna lose his life sometimes uh... the preacher knows a little more inside info so he's giving them a little comfort nobody's gonna die we are going to lose the ship verse twenty-three paul how do you know this for there stood by me this night the angel of god who's i am and whom i serve Now, notice the angel of God. You say, who is the angel of God? Now, in the Bible, I don't have time to go into all of this. I've got a long way to go here. is well that could be a bunch of different ones up there when it says the just take a wild guess maybe don't hold out the angel of god the definite article guess who that is that's the lord jesus christ how do i know paul says whom whose i am who i belong to And whom I serve. We don't serve angels. We don't belong to angels. But this says, the angel of God, whose I am, who I belong to, and who I serve. Guess who that is? That's the Lord Jesus Christ. Verse 24, saying, fear not, Paul. Thou must be brought before, look at there. Paul, you going, I told you, you going for Caesar. You could have went to Cadillac. if you went back one told you to but you're going you might be in the back of a cop car right now and lo god has given the all of them that sail with it i'm not going to take a buzz light paul these men where they're safe where they're lost uh... uh... just because they're with you i'm gonna uh... uh... protect their lives first twenty four where four serves be a good cheer for our believe dot that it should be even as it was told me first twenty six how be it we must be cast upon assert now and when the fourteenth night was killed so they've been out there fourteen nights as we were driven up and down in a dream they dreaded cities and all of that about midnight the shipment uh... danger that they drew near to some country sold for they've been out there fourteen nights a storm iraq and on just driving them up and down up and down notice at midnight if you ever want to preach on some sometime go off of the bob and preach on the midnight scenes of the bob xd is twelve at midnight god comes to the land when i see the blood of pass over you i'm about to get excited always not Matthew 25 the bridegroom cometh and at midnight the bridegroom cometh at midnight. Paul and Silas Acts 16 Paul and Silas and at midnight they sang praises. Chapter 27 and at midnight. Boy I may preach on this Sunday. No I got something else I'm gonna preach on Sunday. But anyway and at midnight they'd been they drew near to some country do you think it's dark outside you'll think we're back midnight we'll just look here just hang on we're drawing near to a far cut mhm which had tommy here hallelujah now first twenty eight and sounded and found it twenty fathoms so they're they feel like uh... they're in the middle of the night at midnight and they feel like they're drawing near to some country and so what they do what they call it sonar some of you uh... navy men sonar they'd send out a sonar signal to tell you how far you are from land so this is how they sounded and found it twenty fathoms now twenty fathoms is about a hundred twenty feet so the land is about a hundred twenty feet uh... and they figured that out by sending out a sonar signal and I know it wasn't it's not advanced like we are but whatever they sounded off and that thing bounces back off the land and whatever that the time frame that is they figure out the distance I don't know uh... they sounded again and found it fifteen fathom that's about ninety feet then fearing lest we should have fallen upon rocks they cast four anchors out of the stern and wished for the day they start casting, they're getting close, they're 90 feet from land so they start casting out four anchors, four anchors on all four sides of the ship and they just were wishing for daylight verse 30 and as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship when they had let down the boat into the sea under color as though they had been cast out uh... have cast anchors out of the ship now you say well they're in a boat now watch this you see that you're going now i can't understand the king james king james easy to understand watch this one and as the shipment we're about to flee out of the ship y'all hear me over about them crews if you want to flee off the ship there's little bitty boats hanging on the side of the cruise ship in case of emergency you let down that boat and you're hoping you don't have to use it so these shipmen they're going man we're out of here so they're about to flee out of the ship when they had let down the boat into the sea well the boat they're in is already in the sea so they're letting down the what do they call that the tip the tender or whatever call it some that shipment terms uh... under color in other words under the pretext as though they were cast for a cause of the four ship Paul said unto the centurion of the soldiers, except these abide in the ship, we cannot be saved. They need to stay put. Do not leave the ship. Stay with the ship or we cannot be saved. Then the soldiers cut off the ropes off the boat and let her fall off. In other words, they cut the ropes. Okay, we're going to stay with the ship. They learned to listen to Paul. while the day was coming on paul besought them all take make saying this day's fourteenth day that we've carried continued fasting having taken that they had eight fourteen days work well for you take some meat for this is for your health for your health meet for your tell your doctor that this is a proof takes the vegetarians is not scripture This meat is for your health. Watch this one. For there shall not an hair fall from your head of any of you. I wonder what they said about me. And when he had thus spoken, he took bread, gave thanks to God in the presence of them all. And when he had broken it, they began to eat. Then were they all of good cheer, and they all took some meat. And we were in the ship 200, three score and 16, that's 276 people. 276 people in this ship. 200, three score is 60, and 16 is 76. 276 souls. And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship and cast out the weed into the sea. In other words, they ate all they wanted to, and the rest of the food, they had to get rid of to lighten the ship. And when it was day, they knew not the land, they didn't know where they was at, but they discovered a certain creek with a shore into the which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust in the ship. And when they'd taken up the anchors, they committed themselves into the sea and loosed the rudder bands and hoist up the mains. Remember I told you a while ago, they took down the sail, now they brought up the sail to catch the wind, and maybe this wind would take them toward the shore. verse forty one in falling into place were to seize met they ran the ship a grant so the front of the ship is a grant and the four parts dot fastener and remained unmovable behind her part was broken into uh... the balance of the way so you get the first part of stock and no stop uh... deep into the uh... the the the right on that the waves and all that hit the back part just for the fine and pay verse forty-two and the soldiers counsel was to kill the prisoners lest any of them should swim out and escape now paul's watch the soldiers are like okay the prisoners fix it escape was to shoot them all so we don't lose any now remember paul's gotta go where he can't be killed so god's gotta intervene right here somewhere verse forty-three but the centurion willing to save kept them from their purpose you know god god can watch over your life better than you can and commanded that they uh... which could swim should cast themselves first in the sea and get to land so if y'all can swim, jump out, get to land war about catching all kitchen all around all of you know when we get there and the rest some on board some on broken pieces of the ship and so it came to pass that they escaped all safe to land for what god said said not on my not no not one person on the ship is going to die we will lose the ship they lost the ship but nobody lost their black you see that and they're coming up on land some on boards some on broken Now, you're saying, OK, Brother Jeremy, if you was going to preach that whole chapter on a Sunday morning, I would preach that right there like a Christian life. The storms of life are beating you, this, that, and the other. And by the time we make it to heaven, some are going to be on board, some on broken pieces. But God says, you're going to make it. Stay in your seat. You're going to make it. You may be on a broken piece. You may be in a raft. But you're going to make it. no matter what your christian life the store that i'm pretty low so i don't all right verse twenty eight minutes just seven o'clock look at that man i go three more chapters look at that let me get this and when they expect when they were escaped then they knew that the island was called my late now are we there yes there's that right here's where they're at The storm that caused the ship to lose control, there we go, for about two weeks, 14 days. They left here. Paul said, don't leave here. They left here anyway. About middle ways here, big storm out here in the middle. They don't know where they're at. They're tossed this, that, and the other. And they drew near to some country. They didn't know where it was at. Uh, and they drew near to this land. The ship is broken and they all get to land on broken pieces and whatever. So there they are. Uh, verse number two and the barbarous people showed us no little kindness. Now if they showed no little kindness, they showed them a lot of kindness. You say for they kindled a fire and received us everyone because of the present rain and because of the cold. And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat and fastened on his hand. And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said amongst themselves, no doubt this man is a murderer. whom though he had escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffered not to live. Now that's what most lost people think. If you're going through sickness or trouble, they think, man, you've done something bad. God must be mad at you about something. That's not always the case. uh... so they look at paul and the seabirds uh... verse five and he shook off the base in the fire felt no harm how be it they look when he should have swollen from the state body should have been swollen he should have fallen over data or fallen dead suddenly but after they had looked a great while and saw no harm come to him they change their minds that he was a god Now, let me pause and say this real quick. Here in Acts 28, the Apostle Paul, Apostle Paul, he still has the sign gifts of Mark 16. Mark 16, remember, they that believe shall take up deadly serpents and it shall not hurt them, right? Mark 16. now that's what a lot of churches today they are not a lot but some of them churches up the mountains of uh... east tennessee norway kentucky they still stay camp because of mark sixteen but you and i know here in millsfield we know jews require a side in the greek seek after wisdom i don't have to handle a venomous make on sunday morning for y'all to believe the words coming out my mouth i'd grab a bible and say thus saith the lord the bible says now they didn't have that like we did there's a difference people realize i don't understand that and so uh... mark sixteen before the crop jews were sent paul still has that apostolic gift now show you something here just a little bit well i'm sure to you now uh... uh... after act twenty eight memorandum jew first also to the great Jews require a sign. Greeks seek after wisdom. Paul is still ministering. In this area right here, there's some Jewish stragglers, converts, Acts 19, you know, baptized by John, but didn't know there'd come a Holy Ghost, da-da-da-da. There's still some Jewish stragglers here. So the Apostle Paul still has the sign gifts of that apostle. delish that be able to heal people you know touch and heal this that and the other he's got it in twenty eight we just saw it but interesting y'all see these books in black that line right there paul goes to rome and he never gets out of prison so from here paul writes aficions philippians colossians for sake of timothy tyrus and file a man from a roman jail cell right here after acts twenty eight and he fully goes to the gentiles the signed gifts of the apostle six you separate how you know they watch uh... let's say Let's do 1 Timothy 5, 23. 1 Timothy, y'all see, 1 Timothy. He writes this from a Roman way after Acts 28. He writes it in 1 Timothy. So instead of healing one another, guess what Paul gives us in 1 Timothy. He gives you a medicine to take if your stomach hurts. Why do you need a medicine to take if all you gotta do is come down here on Sunday and let me heal you? Now, if we were in Acts 28 on Sunday morning, if I had the sign gifts of the apostle and we had some Jews in here that required a sign, then I could do that. But guess what? I got a full, complete Bible right now. And 1 Timothy 5, 23 says, drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. Now, you're thinking, oh, here's my verse. Man, I'm gonna go home and get me a bottle of Morgan-David. Man, I'm gonna have me a time. Hallelujah, my stomach hurts. Well, now listen, if your stomach hurts three times a day, you need to go have it plum removed, okay? It's not the problem. We've got Pepto now for that. We've got whatever. uh... back in the bible days paul says hey when you get sick little wine for that stomach-sickening often infirmities whatever they use what matter-of-fact member uh... the uh... uh... the good samaritan story the good samaritan a man head wounds they poured in all in why disinfecting rubbing alcohol my daddy believe in rubbing alcohol man he had a flat tire you put rubbing alcohol on it I mean he believed in it now I'm talking about this bee sting rubbing alcohol swelling daddy what do you do? put some alcohol on it he believed in it that and WD-40 that was the cure for everything uh... little wine now watch this one let's go a little deeper second timothy let's watch this one Paul says, did it go there? This fellow named Erastus, he abode at Corinth. But Trophimus, have I, Paul, left at Miletus, I had to leave him there sick. I couldn't heal him because after Acts 28, I don't have the sign gifts anymore. Y'all see that? Now listen, when I see stuff like this, people say, oh, Brother Jeremy, don't believe in healing. Oh, I sure do. I've seen God healed today. I sure have. But it wasn't through me. This healing was through Paul, the apostle. Peter, remember? Peter, the shadow of Peter. People walked by the shadow of Peter. They were healed. That don't happen today. I don't care what Benny Hinn says. It don't happen today. Yes, I called my look. All that stuff you see on television, just because a guy's got a Bible and a suit and tie on, he's got a big congregation. Don't mean he's telling you the truth. Especially if he says, now, to show if you've got enough faith to be healed, we're gonna pass off and play. You watch that bird right there. I'm just here to tell you. Now, all right. Okay. Here we go. Where'd we go? Oh, we got snake bite. Let's see. I'll ask you down here and finishes a right here all right let's look now the rest of that verse 11 three months a part of the ship Alexander you know here we go for a wish whopping ships now And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard, but Paul was, watch this, Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him, you imagine? Everybody else has to go to prison, but Paul is allowed, yes, he's in custody, but he's allowed to have him a little apartment over here as long as this soldier stayed with him. God's had favor on him. Y'all remember the story of Joseph in the Old Testament? Joseph was in prison, but he found favor with God, and he'd run into place, you know. Anyway. All right, verse 17. It came to pass that after three days, Paul called the chief of the Jews together. When they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, customs of our fathers jupal was a jewish and i i've not committed anything against father abraham i think jacob yet was i'd delivered prisoner from jerusalem under the hands of the romans when they had examined may would have let me go because there was no cause of death in me but when did you speak against me i was contract can't constrained to appeal on the seizure not that i had also confused uh... accusation of For this cause, therefore, have I called for you, to see you and to speak with you, because that, for the hope of Israel." When it says the hope of Israel, the hope of Israel is the resurrection of Israel, which happens, well, we got the rapture here, you got the tribulation, and right at the second coming, right before the second coming, Ezekiel... What is it? Valley of Dry Bones. That's the hope of Israel. The resurrection of Israel. The Valley of Dry Bones. Ezekiel something. I forgot what chapter. Anyway. Might be 36 or 37. One of those two. The Valley of Dry Bones. That's what he's talking about. The hope of Israel. Am I bound with this chain? verse twenty one and they said to him we need to receive letters out of judea concerning being either of any of our brethren that uh... came showed respect any harm of the but we desire to hear of the what they are focused for is concerning this set the second the pharisees a sec we know that everywhere spoken against when the had appointed him a day they set up a revival meet reported him a day they put it out on face book advertise it they came in you'll see that in there they came in it to him under his lodging now he's in he's in check he's got it all up he's got his own apartment with a soldier living with it but he's had a revolving all these people come to his house uh... to his lodging uh... support i get it How much? 23, say, yeah. When he appointed a day, there came to him under his lodging, to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, out of the prophets, from morning till evening. Boy, mm. Let's see, morning starts at 6 a.m., evening starts at 6 p.m., he preached for 12 hours. And y'all are, some of you looking at your watch right now. birth twenty four and some believe the things which were spoken and some believe not he's but he's talking to jews one last he got all these jewish brethren there in rome area he's talking in one last time some believe some day now watch here's the turning point before we before we finish this thing up watch this very carefully just a few more verses watch twenty five and when they agreed not among themselves by departed after that paul had spoken one word after paul had spoken he read this for these verses right here they agreed not amongst themselves a departed okay well spake the holy ghost by is a is that i that's i say in the old testament the profit under our fathers now this is written in isaiah go into this people as the jews and say hearing you show here and shot on the same in other words use i'm on the same somebody tell you you're going to hear it and you're not going to stand and saying it you shall see and not perceive were twenty seven for the heart of this people the heart of the jews is waxed gross and their ears are dull of hearing and their eyes have they closed? Lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Verse 28, ready? Don't grab a psalm book, because you're thinking to throw it. Paul says, be it known therefore unto you that the salvation, the salvation of God is sent unto the and that they when it said these words that you've departed had great reasoning among themselves are scratching their heads going mad i never heard a pretty like this i thought salvation was of the jews this man says the salvation of god now i sent to the gentiles and they're going to hear it when it's when he had said these words were twenty nine jude departed they had great reason among themselves and paul dwelt two whole years in his own hard house and received all that came in and to him he was able to be seen for he's in a roman apartment he's got a soldier that lives with him because he's in prison but he's able luke luke is able to come check his blood pressure and giving him his medicine and all of that for thirty one preaching the kingdom of god and teaching those things which concern the lord jesus christ with all confidence no man forbidding him watch this the jews rejected they would not hear what paul had to say paul winds up in ch in prison because the jews would not except what he what he had to say paul says all right vietnam listen up be it no therefore do you the salvation god is in the gentiles and that they will hear it if you turn for your next twenty eight turn the page and tell me the next book where's the air and this is where we get our books romans through filing you'll get time to give you what's up real good right here Notice verse 30, Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, preaching the kingdom of God. Right? Two whole years. Preaching the kingdom of God. Two. Two whole years. From the cross to the rapture. two thousand years paul's been preaching the kingdom of god to the gentiles that little area right here from the now i understand paul and so you can hear dot but the preaching of the kingdom of god started right here at the cross goes to the rapture were it two thousand twenty three yet for two thousand years and paul dwelt two years preaching king park uh... yet to hold your preaching the kingdom of god uh... let me give you this and and so we'll finish this up uh... i i drew this just a little different in the book of acts that we've already studied give or take don't hold me to all of this but give or take Chapter 16 is when Galatians was written. It's when he goes to Galatia in 58 AD. Chapter 18 is about the time he writes 1 and 2 Thessalonians. He goes to Thessalonica. Well, if I had a map. Remember, he goes to all these places. Thessalonica and there's Corinth right there. Well, when he goes to Corinth is about chapter 19. That's in 59 AD. chapter twenty is when he writes the book of romans uh... uh... but sixty a day took chapter twenty eight we just read it were done now he's in prison he writes visions flippin squash and first thing to me that i simply meant from prison that's what we call the prison of pistols there's the dates were roughly they were written these are acts of pistols these are prison pistol paul wrote all of them but he wrote these as a free man he wrote these as a person that's why sometimes uh... let's say uh... mischief and find you one real quick some of these is one says regions limits uh... I'm looking for one that says, Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, you know, so and so forth. You'll see some of these books. Anyway, I'm rushing through. I'm trying to, but I'm trying to find one. It'll say, Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, unto you, so and so, and this, that, and the where's it at? Philemon, there we go. Thank you. Titus, Philemon, only one chapter. Yeah, Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy, our brother, and to Philemon, our dearly beloved, and so on and so forth. He'll write stuff like that, or he'll say stuff like this, I'm writing this in my bonds. From, you know, I'm, you know, locked up. Anyway, that concludes the book of Acts.
