All right, we're in the middle of Hannah's prayer. We spent the majority of the time last time talking about how it is a prayer, and yet at the same time, some of the things that she's saying is prophetic, and you don't want to miss that. And specifically, we pointed out how in verse 4 and in verse 10, those things seem to be a bit irrelevant as to what happened. What's happened is she has been barren. She went up to the temple, and Eli was able to tell her, hey, you're going to have a child, and this great miracle has happened, and that she's had a baby. But if you read verse four, it says the bows of the mighty men are broken. They are stumbled. The day that stumbled are girded with strength. At no point in time in chapter one do mighty men with bows stumble, you know, broken. Right. Look at verse 10. Look at verse 10. The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken in pieces. Out of heaven shall he thunder upon them. The Lord shall judge the ends of the earth and he shall give strength unto his king and exalt the horn of his anointed. And there is no king in Israel at this time. Remember, the tabernacle is still not even in Jerusalem. Saul hasn't been anointed king yet. Samuel does that later on in life, who just was born. So some of the stuff that she's saying here is prophetic, and we're not going to spend a whole lot of time with it, but I just wanted to point that out to you because it's something that a lot of the commentators miss. So we're picking up in verse 3 here. Last time in verse two, we ended, let's go ahead and read verse two to begin with. There is none holy as the Lord. There is none beside thee, neither is there any rock like our God. And we ran the verses on that, I believe, and finished last time. So verse three, talk no more. So exceeding proudly. And you'd have to imagine she's praying this, thinking maybe a little bit about Penina, right? The other wife of Elkanah, the one that was having children. And, you know, we talked about this in chapter one, but there was an adversary who was giving Hannah a hard time about not having kids, right? And now all of a sudden she's had this child and she's saying in her prayer, you better watch your mouth, lady. You know, in the modern vernacular, right? She's saying, hey, be careful about what you're saying. Talk no more so exceeding proudly, let not arrogancy come out of your mouth. For the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed. So, you know, it is a good idea, and she's right, to be careful about what you say. Look at Ecclesiastes 5 real quick. We'll look at a cross-reference here. And then we'll come back to Proverbs right after that. Ecclesiastes 5, right before Isaiah, right after Psalms and Proverbs. Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon. And that is a general truth you find in the Bible is that you are to be careful about the things that you're saying. The Bible says in one place, every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment, right? And that to me is a scary verse. There's a lot of things that I've said even since being saved that I wish I could take back. Seriously, there's things that I've said in the pulpit I wish I could take back, amen? And so, but, you know, I have to talk for two hours and I'm going to say something stupid every once in a while. But the general idea in the Bible is that you need to be careful about the things you say. So Ecclesiastes 5 and verse 1, keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God and be more ready to hear than to give the sacrifice of fools. What is the sacrifice of fools? Talking. speaking. He says, for they consider not that they do evil. Be not rash with thy mouth. Don't be quick and in a hurry to say things. The Bible says another place, he that answereth a matter before he heareth it, right? That's a foolish thing to do. He says, let not thine heart be hasty to utter anything before God, for God is in heaven and now upon earth. Therefore, let thy words be few. That's just a good idea across the board. For a dream cometh through the multitude of business, and a fool's voice is known by what? Multitude of words. You say, well, you're talking a lot. Well, it pleased God by the what? Foolishness of preaching to save them which were lost, right? So to some degree, preaching is foolishness, but God's pleased with it, and that's the way that he gets his truth out. We don't need to get into that right now. Verse five, better is it that thou shouldst not vow than that thou shouldst vow and not pay. And he goes on and he says some more things about it, but the whole idea there, coming from what the Bible calls the wisest man to ever live outside of Jesus Christ, is to be careful about what you're saying and how much you talk. And a fool is known by multitude of words, is what it says. All right, now come back to Proverbs 27. Proverbs 27. And so, you know, we're not for sure who she's talking about, but it's probably a good guess that Penina was harassing her. I'm having kids and you're not. Elkanah is, you know, gonna have his seed carry on by the fact that I'm having children here. What are you gonna do? You know, the type of stuff that, just the type of stuff you would imagine that two women who are married to the same man would be saying to each other, right? Having to deal with that. Proverbs 27.1. Boast not thyself of tomorrow, for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. And next thing you know, all this boasting Penite has been doing, next thing you know, Hannah's had a child here, and she is not just having any child, by the way. This boy's about to go on to anoint David to be king of Israel, right? And literally save Israel by prayer at some point in time. And so, you know, just a good idea to watch your mouth and not boast. You don't know what's coming the next day. Okay, back to 1 Samuel 2. She also says there at the end of the verse, the Lord is a God of knowledge and by Him actions are weighed. Go ahead and write down as a cross-reference if you're taking note, 1 Corinthians 3 and verse 13. And we looked at that on Sunday, but it says their works were tried of whatever sort they were. Whatever sort they were. You know, sometimes people do things and we look at it on the outside and think we've got it figured out. but ultimately without seeing that person's heart and what their motive was, it's really hard to tell what exactly was going on. And so, you know, here we are judging things and trying to have discernment between good and evil down here. We do our best, but when we get to heaven and there's judgment for God, He's not just gonna look at what was done, like, action-wise. He's gonna pull back the curtains on every man's heart and see in there what the motive for their actions were. And he's going to weigh the actions. And it's really interesting to think about because there are things that have happened in this life where I'm like, I can't tell who's right and who's wrong. It looks to me like everybody's wrong. Sometimes I'm like, it looks like nobody was even wrong about anything, you know, just based off what I'm seeing. And what's cool about the Lord is that when He casts judgment on that same topic, He'll be able to see with more than I'm able to see with, right? The Lord looketh on the heart, on the inner man. And that's some stuff that, you know, without a lot of spiritual discernment, it's kind of hard to pick up on. So, actions are weighed. That ought to tell you also the Lord is more interested in quality than He is with quantity. Okay? And, you know, I don't even know if we're getting into that right now, but just as a general rule, you and I, in our fallen nature, we tend to think that more is better. Okay? You know, I mean, just think about witnessing. Some guy comes along, I handed out 100 tracts last week. How many did you hand out, right? 100 tracts. You know, I would rather have one good conversation with somebody than I would hand out 100 tracts and not talk to anybody, right? There's a quality factor to the Christian life, and just everything in general. And so he's gonna weigh the actions, and she has a lot of discernment here in what she's praying. Let's look at verse four. The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength. So kind of like everything's been flipped upside down, the tables have turned in some type of way, you may be able to say. It says in verse five that they that were full have hired out themselves for bread. Well, that's backwards, right? Everything's being flipped upside down. They that were hungry, cease, so that the barren hath born seven, and she that hath many children is waxed feeble. So in those two verses, everything has been flipped upside down. The tables have turned, and that's what she's praying here. Now, the Lord has done that. Verse six, the Lord killeth and maketh alive. How about that for some of your modern day preachers? The Lord killeth. That's one verse they'll never read. You can tell a lot about a preacher by the verses that he avoids, amen? There's a lot of verses in there that you could avoid as a preacher if you don't want to hurt anybody's feelings. It says it there. The Lord killeth, and there's a time that he does, and maketh alive, by the way, he's balanced. He's balanced. The Lord is not just a killer, right? He's killing and he's making alive. He bringeth down to the grave and bringeth up. bring it down to the grave and bringeth up." You could, if you wanted to, read into that that she's pointing out a resurrection right there. Right? She's prophesying of a future resurrection there. And by the way, all of the Old Testament saints, all of the Jews at least, and even the majority of the Gentiles, did believe in a bodily resurrection, by the way. This is before David is even anointed king, and she's aware of a bodily resurrection. Look before her, look at Job real quick. And look at a guy who was around before her. Job chapter 19. You know, if you've done any Bible study, that Job is the oldest book in the Bible. And some people would say that Job was around the time of Abraham, which you're looking at, you know, Oh, 1491, four, so 1890. I mean, you're getting back in there, 1890, 1800, 1900 BC, somewhere in there. Okay, you're way, way back. And look at what Job says in 19 in verse 25. Verse 25, for I know that my Redeemer liveth and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. And he says here, and though after my skin worms destroy this body, So in other words, after he's kicked the bucket, yet in my flesh shall I see God. Not just my spirit, not just my soul at some point, but in my flesh I shall see God after I've died. And that couldn't be any clearer there. He's speaking of a bodily resurrection. Now, that resurrection that they're talking about is a reference to what we call the Great White Throne Judgment. which happens after the millennial reign of Christ. And that's found in Revelation. The Lord sits on a throne, and death and hell are cast up. And that'd be the resurrection that they're talking about. That is a bodily resurrection. Back in verse seven of 1 Samuel 2, The Lord maketh poor and maketh rich. He bringeth low and lifteth up. Maketh poor and maketh rich. How about that one? Bill Gates and some of these rich people, right? Well, look at what I've done, and look how I've done this, and look at what I've put together. The Lord maketh rich, according to the Bible anyways. Now, you say, well, how would those people get that money? The Lord allows you to do whatever you're doing. Nothing happens without him allowing it. Now, does that mean that Bill Gates is a good guy because God let him get all that money? Absolutely not, right? Absolutely not. But whether you like it or not, that's what's in the book there. And if you have money, praise God for it, amen? If you don't have money, praise God for it. Right? It's all coming from his hand. Let's go ahead and do this. I was kind of curious if we would look at all these, but look at Deuteronomy 8 with me. Deuteronomy chapter 8. This morning on my way to work, I pass by this truck. This doesn't happen, but I love my truck. I love my truck. My truck is my dream truck. But this morning I passed by a, what had to be a 2024 three quarter ton GMC Sierra, a diesel. And I just, I never do this by looking, I was like, that's a nice truck, right? And I began to think like, man, how much, how much is the payment on that thing? And I remember thinking, man, what did a guy have to do to get a truck like that? And I was honestly borderline covetous in the moment, not trying to get my sins to you here or anything, nothing like that, confess my sins to you. But I remember thinking, as I was thinking that, I was thinking, man, think about how much he has to work in order to make all that money. Because something I've realized is that the more money you make, the more you have to work for it. Just in general. Now, there may be some people who inherit money and, you know, whatever. But, you know, I was raised playing basketball and some rap music, and one of the things they used to say is, mo' money, mo' problems, right? How much does that guy have to work to pay for that thing? I remember thinking in that moment as I'm driving to work that morning, I was like, Lord, if me not having that much money means I get to spend more time with my kids. I feel richer than that guy in this moment. He may have the nicer truck than me, but I feel richer not having to work as much and having time after work to be able to spend time with my children than that guy ever will be. I wonder how much time that guy gets to spend with his children. I don't know anything about the guy. The truck still had the Rowe Motors license plate thing on it. It was brand new. And I just remember thinking at that moment, like, man, Lord, I'm glad that I have the work that I have because I get to go home on lunch break, and I get to go home and spend lunch with my kids. I get to get off at four and five o'clock, right? Faithfully, amen. There's never a time where it's like, oh, we're really busy right now, and a bunch of people are calling, you have to stay later. That doesn't happen to me. Praise God, amen. And, you know, I just kind of have a moment there where I was just like, Lord, thank you for what I have. I have a lot. Some of this stuff can't be put in dollar signs, right? Look at Deuteronomy 8, and look at verse 18. Look at what this says. But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God, for it is he that giveth thee power to get what? Wealth. Now he's talking to Israel here, and he certainly has given them that power, by the way. But he says that he may establish his covenant that he's swearing to thy father as it is this day. That verse says plainly that he gave them power to get wealth. He gave him that. All right, look at Proverbs 30. We could look at a lot of verses. I mean, 1 Timothy 6, 10 and all those. Love of money is, you know, money is not the root of all evil. The love of it is. But at the end of that verse, they that will be rich, they that want to be rich, have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Way before Jay-Z ever showed up and said, mow money, more problems, the Bible said it already for you. What'd I tell you? Proverbs 30. Proverbs 30. Look at this here. Proverbs 30 in verse 8. Says, remove far from me vanity and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. He wants to be right in the middle. Feed me with food convenient for me. Notice why he says this, lest I be full and deny thee. In other words, in his mind, there's a point where I could get to where I have so much of this stuff. where it's like, I don't even need God anymore, right? Some of these rich, some of these, I'm talking like some of these elites literally think that they're gods. I mean, they're that full of themselves, right? And he's pointing that out here. If I got too much, I might deny you. And he says this, he says, and say, who is a lord or lest I be poor and steal and take the name of my God in vain. So if I was to not have enough, there may come a time where I fall into this other trap here. And so the whole point of those two verses there is like, Lord, just give me enough where I can get by and I have enough and I'm satisfied. Now, I can tell you personally, that has always been my case, brother, not because I work hard for anything like that. And I am to be faithful and, you know, do all that stuff. But I can look back and say, like, we've always had enough. Amen. And when a need arises, I just pray about it, and then God just helps us out somehow. Right? He just does that. And it's nice to be in the middle. You know, there is no condemnation for having a lot of money in the New Testament. in light of the church. Now, where you'd have to find the condemnation for having a lot of money would be in James, which is addressed to the 12 tribes scattered abroad, and the context is tribulation. The only way you can even have a lot of money in the Great Tribulation is by taking a mark and being able to partake in commerce, right? But if you have money in the New Testament, Paul tells you be ready to distribute, right? He doesn't say sell everything because you're wicked for having a bunch of money. He says, hey, do with that money what God wants you to do with that money, right? And that's the whole point. So she says here, though, getting back to our point, is she says that the Lord, he maketh poor and maketh rich. And I believe that. I believe that he has people he's given money to for a reason. Amen? And he has some people that he's kept from getting a lot of money. And I'll tell you, it's probably for their own good. It's probably for their own good. Who knows what type of person I would turn into if I had a couple billion dollars in my bank account. I wonder if I would pray as much. I wonder if I would hand out as many tracks if I had a couple billion dollars and a yacht, where I could just live off the coast of South Spain or something like that, right? I don't know if I get anything done for, maybe I get a little bit, but I would hope so, but maybe the Lord has me and you where we're at because that's what we can handle. That's just something to think about, right? And so, just kind of interesting how she points that out. So back to verse eight, he raiseth up the poor out of the dust. and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill to set them among princes. He did that with Joseph. He did that with a bunch of people in the Bible. Joseph was in a jail. Next thing you know, he's standing next to Pharaoh, right? Distributing the wealth to the commonwealth. He says, and to make them inherit the throne of glory for the pillars of the earth, something I didn't learn about in high school, by the way, the pillars of the earth, So that's just parabolic. No, no, no, no. That's scientific fact. That's what she's she means what she's saying. The light of the Holy Spirit to say what she's saying, the pillars of the earth are the Lord's and he has set the world upon them. OK, without getting into all the scientific stuff there, just take note that that's the first mention of the word world in your Bible. And that that word means old man. It's a German word. It means old man or old age. And it's just something worth pointing out to you there. You also take note that it says it's got pillars in it. Somewhere inside the heart of the earth, there's pillars somewhere. Say, well, you know, some of these scientists, I've never seen that on YouTube before. They don't know because they don't have a Bible. They don't believe the Bible. A lot could be said for, if there would just be some of these brilliant minds and some of these scientists, if they would just believe the Bible and study from that viewpoint, who knows what they could figure out, man? And who knows what God revealed to them? I mean, here he gives them this brilliant mind, and then they use it to worship themselves, right? And to make a name for themselves and try to disprove God. Imagine if they would use that mind instead to say, you know what, let's see what the Bible says and see if that's true. They would find some things. They would find some pillars in the earth somewhere. And there's some other verses, but we're not gonna get into it tonight, but it's really neat to study some of that stuff. And you say, well, I just, I look like a fool when I say that, you know? I look like, you know, all these people say that it's just a molten core. They're right that it's hot down there, amen? They're right that it's very hot down there, right? There's a hellfire down there. They're for sure right about that. But they definitely have never taught you that there's pillars down there. You say, what do the pillars look like? I don't know, there's just pillars somewhere. And you say, well, I look like a fool for saying that. Yeah, but one day, brother, one day, they'll catch up to you. It only takes the scientific community a couple thousand years to catch up where a Bible believer is already at. Okay? If you stick with the Bible, you're light years ahead of the scientific community. I mean it. I mean it. The scientific community is always saying, oops, we messed up. Oops, we were wrong about that. Oops, let's adjust this theory here. You know what someone who believes the Bible has never had to say? Oops. Ever. If you just believe what the Bible says, there's never been a time where you've had to say, ah, I was just a little bit off about, no, no, no, the Bible says that it's true. And we will be enlightened, amen, someday in a way that's really hard to describe as to how all this stuff goes. Okay, verse nine, he will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness, for by strength shall no man prevail. If you're successful, if you've prevailed, apparently it's by the Lord's strength and not your own. He says in verse 10, the adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces. Out of heaven shall he thunder upon them. The Lord shall judge the ends of the earth and he shall give strength unto his king and exalt the horn of his anointed. That king and that anointed, they're the same person. And she's prophesying of Christ right there, whether the commentaries agree or not. Look at chapter 7. Chapter 7. She said there, she said, the Lord shall thunder upon them. And he does that just a few chapters later here. It's chapter 7 and verse 10. And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. But the Lord thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines and discomfited them, and they were smitten before Israel. Israel don't have to lift a sword to him. And the Lord, you say, what does that look? I'm not really sure what that looks like. But I know it wouldn't take the Lord very much to snap his fingers a couple times. And you talk about a thunderstorm come through here and really freak some people out. You know, I've been here five years, and we do not have severe weather here. I've got a couple of notifications on my phone, like severe thunderstorm. I just kind of giggled to myself, right? I'm from the northern part of Tornado Alley, and I know what severe weather looks like. When the trampoline and the dog pen fly across the yard, that's when it's severe weather, right? But in the Midwest, we have some pretty bad storms, and especially when I was living in Florida, right there on the Gulf, We would have these these storms roll in in the thunder. would literally shake the windows. It would be so loud sometimes. I mean, you know, you may be a heavy sleeper. There are some thunderstorms come through that would wake you up in the middle of the night. They were so loud. I mean, the whole building shaking, right? And, you know, I've been outside and had lightning strike not too far away, and the thunder just from that strike not too far away. It sounds like you're being, like someone's shooting a gun in your ear. That's how loud it is. People, I mean, I've heard people pee their pants, like from thunder clapping next to them. So could you imagine being an army out there outside of Israel and the Lord really turn up the volume on that thing? And just one after the other. I mean. I don't know about you, but I'm fleeing, right? I'm out of here, right? I mean, it's not a normal thundering, whatever's happening there. I'm talking like, I mean, just over and over and over again all night. I mean, it's enough to where the people literally take off and flee home. And that's all the Lord has to do to win a battle. He don't have to kill nobody. He don't have to sweat, amen. He literally just turn up the thunder and y'all take off and flee like chickens, amen. That's the power of God, right? And so that's what's going on here. So he could literally just turn up the thunder and it would cause us all to take off. Over time, the false gods have tried to take the credit for that. You may have heard of Baal, he's in the Bible, B-A-A-L. He actually was worshipped as a god of storms and thunder. Okay, and what is that? They're taking some of what God does and attributing it to a false god, right? Zeus, right? Zeus was a god of thunder and storms. And those things are what God does, and they try to steal that from him. Okay, verse 11. Verse 11, Elkanah went to Ramah to his house, and the child did minister unto the Lord before Eli the priest. And I'll be honest with you, sometimes I wonder how people can leave their kids at the daycare for eight hours. I cannot imagine living my little baby boy, my firstborn, by the way, just up there away from me. I don't know how far away they live. We talked about where the locations are. Miles. They're not going up there all the time. They're going up there during this feast every year. They're making a trip out of it, so it has to be a distance. And for her to just go up there when it's a five-year-old boy and just say, okay, here you go, and not see him but once a year. Talk about hard to do. I mean, she went down to San Diego to see her grandma and her family for like a weekend. And I was like, I was, you know, poor me by the end of 48 hours, brother. Get back home, amen. And she's going up there and she's leaving Samuel, this boy that she's prayed over for years, and just dropping him off. I just can't imagine what that would feel like. Verse 12, now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial. And as we talked about before, that's essentially saying they were wicked men. But I want you to notice that that's a capital B right there. And so it's more than just wicked people. I would say there's some type of devil there or unclean spirit, I'm not sure. You guys remember the Lord of Flies Beelzebub that Christ speaks of? Remember that? There's something going on there where there's some unclean spirits and they have some names. And so these boys have that spirit, whatever it is. Notice this, they knew not the Lord. They knew not the Lord. Now you talk about scary. These guys are in the tabernacle of Jehovah God, right? They're administering the sacrifices, they're taking part in these worship services, and they don't even know the Lord personally. Now they know of the Lord, right? And there's a big difference between the two. You can know of God, but to know him personally is a big, big difference, okay? Now at the same time, look at verse 27 here, chapter two and verse 27. Look at who shows up to speak to them. There came a man of God unto Eli. And he comes up there and preaches at them boys. And he tells them by the end of verse, I believe 34, that his two sons are going to die. That's the message he brings. So here are these, here are these fakers up there at the tavern. I don't even know the Lord personally. and they're putting on a show and making a real mess of the tabernacle, and a true preacher shows up and he puts them in their place. Now at the same time, look at an example here, how Samuel does kind of the same thing here. Look at chapter two in verse 18, 218. But Samuel ministered before the Lord, being a child girded with a linen ephod. So Samuel's this little boy here, he ministers and it's before the Lord, right? He's working in the tabernacle, okay? So that's in chapter two and verse 18. Look at chapter three and look at verse four. In verse three, the lamp of God goes out. Samuel's laid down to sleep. Verse four, that the Lord called Samuel and he answered, here am I. And what does he do? He ran unto Eli. And he said, here am I, for thou callest me. You know what happens? Three times it happens. And he don't know who's talking to him. Okay? So did Samuel know of God in chapter two and verse 18? Yes. But he didn't know the voice of the Lord and that personal relationship with him until chapter three and verse four, as far as I'm concerned. You don't even know who's talking to him. Okay? So what are you pointing out? There's a big difference between a bunch of people, oh, I believe in Jesus, I believe in Jesus, I believe, you believe Him like factually, like He was a person, right? Have you ever believed on Him? Have you ever put your faith and trust in Him? Because knowing about Jesus don't mean squat until you've actually done something with it, i.e. putting your faith and trust in Him and calling on Him to save your soul for salvation. And once you do that, that relationship begins. But just knowing about him, there's a difference here, and that's what he's saying back here in verse 12, they knew not the Lord. You can know of him, but you don't know him personally. Let me give you a couple cross-references to write down. Psalms 30 in verse 10. Psalms 30, 10. And then Jeremiah 9, verse 23 through 24. Jeremiah 9, 23 through 24, let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, the mighty man glory in his might. Let him that he that glorieth glory in this, that he hath known me, he says there. And so that's the thing to glory in. Before we close, look at 2 Corinthians 11. 2 Corinthians 11, okay? Now, I had no problem saying this, those men back there, Eli's sons, they're false prophets. They're fake preachers, okay? Now, for some reason, you know, there's a million YouTube videos now, here this satanic preacher exposed and look at the, you know, okay, you know, they're right sometimes. You know, nobody needs a YouTube video to see that Joel Osteen is a faker, okay? Nobody needs a YouTube video for that. Now, I've done wrong with doing that and pointing those people out, but let me just say this, the ones that scare me are the ones that are harder to point out, because there are preachers out there who are wolves in sheep's clothing, okay, and they are false prophets, and there aren't YouTube videos about them. and they're doing the real damage because nobody can tell what they're up to. Those are the ones that scare me. And to think that you would just be able to, well, I know who they are because of some YouTube video, you can't just list them all out like that. He's got these fakers out there who put on a show so that you'll think that they're the real main bad guys. The ones who the devil's in charge of, listen, it says he was more subtle than any beast of the field. You know what subtlety is? it's hard to detect, right? It's hard to pick up on. And so the fake preachers are everywhere. Lord help me, amen, I'm trying. But the ones that you should be weary of are the ones that are hard to tell that that's what they are. Look at 2 Corinthians 11 and look at verse 13. Verse 13. Judging yourselves, I'm in 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians 11, 2 Corinthians 11, 2 Corinthians 11, in verse, yeah, 13, 13. 2 Corinthians 11, 13. For such are false apostles, yes, there's some people who are calling themselves apostles and they're not, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. Okay, so these guys would look like the Apostles of Christ if you were to see them. They say, well, I'll just listen to them preach, and they're much more subtle than that. Okay? Verse 14, It'd be hard to pick up on him too. How many people, I mean, I've talked to people in this town. I was in a hospital bed and a man glowing with light walked into my hospital room and told me he was from God and began it. Yeah, okay, I mean, you know. You say, was that Jesus? I don't think so. I don't think so. I think that was a devil, if you ask me. But I wasn't there, so I couldn't tell you. Therefore, verse 15, it is no great thing if his ministers, the devil has ministers? He has preachers and pulpits? And we're not just talking black-robed guys in the Catholic church. We're talking in Baptist churches, Lutheran church, I don't care what church. I don't care what church. I don't care what denomination. His ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works. And we don't need to get into all the weeds with that stuff, but they're everywhere as far as I'm concerned. The way I've looked at it and Brother Pilkington preached on it is that the people with the truth, the people with the truth is a small crowd. Now, it's not small enough for us to be all, oh, poor me, and go all full Elijah out there in the wilderness. The Lord does come by and say, I have yet 7,000 who have not kissed Baal and all this. He says that. But to think that those with the truth are in the majority, I think is a bit naive. I think it's a small remnant of people. Now, do I think a lot of people are saved? Absolutely. I'm Mr. Liberal when it comes to salvation. You believe on Christ, you're good. But man, those spirits can get in there and they can mess with stuff. And I don't worry about them. I don't go around, I wonder if this guy's at fault. I don't do that, okay? I'm more worried about what I'm doing than other people, all right? Okay, so be careful about that. You can fall into a trap of self-righteousness about some of that stuff. He says in one place, Paul says in one place as we close here, They comparing themselves among themselves are not wise, okay? So to be driving around all the time like, well, they're not like me and they're not, what are they like? Don't worry about it. You just do what you're supposed to do, okay? So we'll pick up next time.
