Hello. We have no audio recording of the seventh chapter in Andre Scheffler's study of mere Christianity and the reason for God. But what he covered today is material found in the latter part of book two of mere Christianity, the perfect penitent, the practical conclusion. This deals with the topics of substitutionary atonement, sanctification and justification in the Christian scheme of things and sets it apart from other religions. Andre points out that this was laid out in the Old Testament in Leviticus 1, 1 through 6. and also found in Jeremiah 30 and 31, God's promises. Matthew 26 introduces a concept of substitutionary atonement in the form of Christ taking on the burdens of our sins. This is also referenced in Colossians 2, 16 through 17, 1 Corinthians 5, 7, 2 Corinthians 5, 21, And concludes with the first actual statement of the Gospel message in 1 Corinthians 15, 3.
