Amen. I appreciate the Lord. And I was reading over this scripture last night in Acts. And as I've been reading through Acts, it's been a blessing to me because I found some men full of the Holy Ghost. And I believe that if there's one thing that we need in this society that we're living in today, it's the Holy Ghost. And I know that there's some people there. They're scared of the Holy Ghost, that they don't they don't believe that the Holy Ghost, the heaven needs to come down to fill a church service. But I believe that there is one thing that we need. It ain't alcohol and it ain't drugs. It ain't a certain preacher, a certain motivational speaker, but it's the Holy Ghost of God speaking through a preacher to help somebody and help a church. And I heard one preacher say he was having a guest preacher coming in and he said, I'm having a preacher come in. He said notice that I didn't say speaker. He said that's something that's on the wall. He said he's having a preacher come in, but. I'm going to try to find my spot here, and there's just one verse that the Lord gave me and. I'd like to read it, y'all, and I pray it's a blessing. This is Acts chapter number six and verse number three. If you'd like to stand, you can. It says, Wherefore, brethren, look you out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. And let us pray. Father, Lord, I'm thankful, Lord, for this time. Father, I pray you'd help me just to be a blessing during this time. Father, help me, Lord, for this short time. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. But as I began to read through this piece of scripture, God wanted Paul and Or Peter and John, he wanted them to find somebody, some disciples that were some men, to help them fulfill the duties that they had. And when God wanted them to look for men, they were looking for some men full of the Holy Ghost. And that says, Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report. So these men, that number right there is seven. And I heard a preacher say that's the number of perfection. And that's seven men that were full of honest rapport. And if there's one thing we need also in the day that we're living in, we need some men that have honest rapport. And when they come to church on Wednesday night, they're living the same as they were on Sunday night. And they were living the same as they were on Sunday night as Monday night. And they were full of an honest report. But the thing that stood out to me here is they had some men that they could count on. They had some men that they could go to. And they already knew that they were going to be full of an honest report and full of the Holy Ghost. And they had some men that they knew that they had been watching for a period of time. They knew that they had been faithful to church. And they knew that they had been singing the songs that they were needing to be singing and not worldly stuff. But they knew some men. that were full of the Holy Ghost. And it says, Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report. So if the disciples could tell that these men were of an honest report and full of the Holy Ghost, I know that the world could tell as well. And whether it's down at the schoolhouse or down at the job job place, we need to be full of the Holy Ghost in everything that we do, because I can promise you, just like Brother Edward Priest is up here, if the Holy Ghost is not driving you, then there's another spirit that's behind what you're doing. And whether it's being quiet or being talking and continuing and conversation with somebody, we need to be full of the Holy Ghost. Because the Holy Ghost is going to lead us in the way that we should go and the things that we could say. And I know we've all said things that we shouldn't have said and we've ended up regretting it. But if the Holy Ghost is behind what we're doing and if the Holy Ghost is behind our actions and our speech and everything that we do, we cannot go wrong with the Holy Ghost. Amen. And I'm thankful for the Holy Ghost. I'm thankful that I got a conscience within me that I just can't do the things that I used to do. I'm glad that when the Holy Ghost came into my life, I told somebody the other day, when a God as big as God comes in your life, there's going to be a change in you. There's going to be a change in your direction. And Brother Jeremy, we were talking about this. He said, repentance is a change of mind. It's a change in direction. You are going this way. And then when you repent, when the Holy Ghost of God came in you, Then that repentance took place from the Holy Ghost being in you. That's when you turn the opposite direction and start to go another way. And I'm thankful tonight that the Holy Ghost caused that change in me. I'm thankful that the Holy Ghost helped me with that change. Because I can promise you tonight, I tried to turn some new leaves over before I got saved. I tried to start living right. I tried my best to talk right and not do things wrong. I tried to obey my mom and my dad the best that I could. But when the Holy Ghost came in, it was like there was another parent that stepped in. I was trying to obey Him. And I was trying to obey Him and please Him. And the Bible says we shouldn't be as men pleasers. I believe it's very close to hear the disciples in Acts chapter number 5 and verse 29. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, we ought to obey God rather than men. And when the Holy Ghost came into my life, I was no longer, I didn't have to worry about trying to do what my mom was telling me because I knew what the Holy Ghost wanted. And I knew that if I followed what the Holy Ghost wanted, then what my mom was asking me would fall in line. And that, when people say, Brother Bradley, how can, I've had people ask me this, how can I get this child to be living better. Brother Bradley, how can I live better at school? How can I talk better at school? I can't give them any better answers than to tell them you need to get down with God. You need to get in a prayer closet with God. You need to ask the Holy Ghost of God to help you to accomplish what you're setting out to do. But Peter and John, they were looking for some men full of the Holy Ghost. They were looking for some men that they could count on For when they step up to testify or when they step up to pray, they were full of the Holy Ghost and they were out there living in the world on Monday night and then came in the church on Wednesday night and they stood up to pray and they didn't have nothing to say because they knew that they were living in the world. But I'm thankful that there's some men that we can count on. Brother Alex, I'm thankful that there's some men in the church that we can count on. There's some women that we can count on to pray and they're going to be full of the Holy Ghost. They can help a service and they're not hindering the service. And they're encouraging like Brother Edward was talking about in Sunday school. They're encouraging and they're not discouraging. And Brother Darnell, he's encouraged me so much. And I promise you that if the Holy Ghost is behind what you're doing, then you're going to start encouraging people. You're going to start putting smiles on people's faces rather than making them have a bad countenance when you come around. You're going to start making people laugh rather than hurt. I promise you that this Christian life, it ain't always fun and games and it ain't always smiles. Like Brother Edward says, we have we have storms that we're going to go through. But if the Holy Ghost, the God is there with you through them storms, just like Jesus was with them disciples when he was out on that sea and they were in that little boat, when Jesus was there, them disciples felt their eyes on him. And that's when when when their faith increased, when they got their eyes on him. And I believe that there's one thing, though, that we need. We need the Holy Ghost, and we need to get our eyes on Him. And we need to start obeying Him, and we need to ask Him for guidance. And I'm thankful for the Holy Ghost of God.
