Good morning everyone. It's Monday morning, the 9th of June, and a lot is said about the Word in the Bible. John 1.1, In the beginning was the Word, capital W, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jesus Christ is the Living Word. The Bible represents the Living Word of God. The Bible represents Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1 25 The word of the Lord endureth forever, and this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. Christ is the word. Romans 10 8 But what sayeth that the word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart? That is the word of faith which we preach. Well, we go to the Word of God when we go to the Word of God and heard it. The Word of God. Acts 19 20 so mightily grew the Word of God and prevailed. Acts 12.24 The word of God grew in multiplying. Psalm 119.89 Lament forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. Proverbs 25.11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. Someone 19154 plead my cause and deliver me quick in me according to thy word You know The Word of God is the The term word is found 675 times in the Bible, consisting of 23 pages. Christ told the Pharisees that The reason they couldn't understand his speech is because they could not hear him. John 8 43, why do you not understand my speech even because you cannot hear my word? Some are given to hear the word of God and some are not. I Are we trusting in the Word of God? There have been many that have sought to change it, to take words out of the Word of God, to alter its meaning, to change its context. But the Word of God is true. Amen. Well whether men try to change it God's Word stands forever Luke 11 28, but he said yea rather blessed are they that hear the Word of God and keep it No 2nd Timothy 2 15 Study to show thyself approved unto God a Workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth I remember when I first started studying the Bible for myself and not just taking the preacher as a source for truth, but actually seeing the Bible as a source for my truth. Because Christ is the source of all truth. Christ said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. He didn't say the Pope was the way. He didn't say a pastor is the way. He didn't say a church is the way. He said he was the way. The truth and the lie. No man comes to the Father but by me, not through the Pope, not through a pastor, not through a church. You know, and there's a lot of people think that truth can be found in a pastor, or truth can be found in the Pope, or truth can be found in an organization, or a church building. Christ is the only truth. And Psalm 119, 105, Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path, Someone 1981 he my soul fainted for thy salvation, but I hope in my word Are we hoping in the Word of Christ are we hoping in Christ this morning I Are we looking to Him who is the author and finisher of our faith? For the joy that was set before Him, He endured the cross, He despised the shame, and He sat down at the right hand of God. Psalm 130 verse 5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. O ye shepherds, hear the word of the Lord. Ezekiel 34 7 and 9 Well, we were given the word to instruct us, to guide us, to comfort us, to give us edification. You know? Luke 4, 32, they were astonished at his doctrine, for his word was with power. You know? Acts 18 11 he continued their year and six months teaching the Word of God among them Psalm 33 for the Word of the Lord is right And all his works are done in truth I There's a lot of people that want to subscribe to these changed versions of the Bible. There have been hundreds if not thousands of additions and changes to the New International Version and all these other perverted versions out there. That's why we're subscribers to the King James Version of the Bible. John 8 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then ye are my disciples indeed. Deuteronomy 30 verse 14 But the word is very nigh unto thee in thy mouth and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. Psalm 119, 160 The word is true from the beginning, and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever. Well, this morning, let us be faithful to the Word of God, because like I said when I started, when we're faithful to the Word of God, we're being faithful to Christ.
