if it be your will is so people won't be let down when nothing happens. I say leave it off. I say find out the will of God before you pray in the first place and then pray in faith and believe God. M.P. Meyer said, he said, faith makes giants look like grasshoppers. Faith makes giants look like grasshoppers, but unbelief makes grasshoppers look like giants. I have a buddy, he went to seminary and he said that seminary, and this was not a liberal seminary, he said that seminary gave him more reasons as to why God does not answer prayer than reasons for why God does answer prayer. You call that fundamental, you call it whatever you want. It's a disgrace to God when the people that claim to have the highest view of the Bible, the highest view of authority, have the least amount of faith to believe God for anything. And I know we got some all kinds of over-exaggerated, nonsensical pray in a jet every five weeks. I ain't talking about that kind of nonsense. But don't let that nonsense rob you of the fact that God can and does do miracles. Now something's not going to happen apart from prayer. That's what Jesus said. This kind does not happen, will not happen, but by prayer and fasting. Now faith is the hinge on which victory turns. And apart from faith, there is no prayer. Apart from faith, there is no prayer. We just had a prayer of faith for Dave McNeil. Brother Foster, you were there. And he's a pastor. He's got all kinds of problems with blood pressure and all these kind of things. So he called for the elders of the church. The prayer of faith shall save the sick. You know what we tell them? If you cannot pray in faith, then please do not pray. If you cannot pray in faith, please refrain from praying. Nobody's impressed or helped with all this mumbo-jumbo non-believing prayer. Let me just tell you something. When you're the sick guy, you would appreciate somebody that had an ounce of faith to believe God to touch and intervene in that situation. Now, some things are not going to happen apart from prayer and fasting. That church I was just in on Tuesday night, by the way, the pastor was a business owner. He had a metal fabricating place and had 150 employees and he brought them all in. And he paid them to listen, and he said, now you don't have to listen, but this man's going to say something. And preached to 150 metal workers. And here these guys are trying to get off their dope, trying to get off their alcohol, trying to pull their own weight, trying to make a living. And five of them came forward and stood in front of the whole crowd and said, I'm going with Jesus, man. Then we go to church that night. And we preach, and great response. And then the pastor, I turned it over to him after a while, and the testimonies just went on and on. They're on their feet for an hour and a half. And on and on, the victory report, the burden bearing, the sharing, all the things that was going on. It's just like the old Revival days, but this kind comes not forth but by prayer and fasting. You know, I know nothing about your church, but I'll tell you one thing. Y'all don't need another meeting. And y'all is southern for you all, okay? Just in case you didn't know what that was. Dennis probably taught you what that meant. But y'all need another meeting. You know what we need? We all need a meeting with God, man. We need for God to do something. So you might want to consider a little prayer and fasting even now as we go on with this meeting. Now, faith is believe in what's not so. in order that it might be so, because God said it is so. And when you get a rhema word from God, when you get a confidence and assurance from God concerning certain things, you can rejoice before it happens. The old timers used to call it praying through. Now, our faith is not wishing things were. Faith is believing what's not so in order that it might be so because God said it is so. Now, faith honors God and God honors faith. I believe that. I mean, God's greatest compliment is to be believed. His greatest pleasure is to be believed. And you know what? Ambitious praying dares to ask large requests and impossible requests. Now, our daughter-in-law was pregnant, and went to the doc, and they did the ultrasound, whatever that thing is, sonogram, something. Anyway, they did that, and the doctor told my daughter-in-law, well, there's a sack, but there's no baby in the sack. Well, she was devastated. So come back Monday, they said, and they would sort it out. So my wife and I flew over, got in the car, hopped over there, and prayed over our daughter-in-law. So she goes back Monday, and they did another sonogram, ultrasound. And this time, this time, a baby was there. So she's in with the doctor. And the doctor said, well, to the nurse, well, obviously on Friday, you misread the information. And the nurse of 30 years rebuked the doctor and said, I've been doing this for over 30 years. And doctor, I'm telling you, there was no baby in there on Friday, but there's one in there right now. And we got a granddaughter out of the deal. Her name is Hope. Don't you like that, Hope? I mean, you think God's people need a little hope? I mean, our culture's crumbling and that ain't gonna stop, but God's still doing miracle working business and our victory is not tied to our culture. Go ahead and shout amen on that right here. Man, we ought to do a lap around the auditorium on that one, I'm telling you. Nothing's impossible with God. We're in Champaign, Illinois. We're having this meeting, a blowout meeting, where it went on for like two weeks. And things were cooking. Well, in the church, there was a woman who was married to a man. And he had problems. They diagnosed him as being antisocial, bipolar, and all of those three-letter adjectives. And he believed. He believed. He couldn't hold a job, he couldn't go in public, he couldn't be around crowds, and she prayed for three decades for Roger. Second week of the meeting, I look back and there's a guy sitting in the back, coveralls, and you could look at him and you could say, all right, there's some issues going on here. Well, he sat through the whole service, two hours, which was like miraculous. He came the second night, sat the whole time. He can't go in public. He can't be around people. He can't be around crowds. He came the third night, came the fourth night, and got born again. came back the fifth night and stood up over 200 people he stood up and testified and I mean this is like the demoniac being clothed and saying it in his right mind and it was incredible nobody could believe it and you know what I think Jesus was passing by and Roger happened to be in right place it's good to be in town when God is you know what I thought Man, I wish I could bottle up this atmosphere because a revival atmosphere is a healing atmosphere. I believe that. And I said, I wish I could bottle this up because there's millions of people that have some real issues, OK? And these are not fake issues. They're real issues. But I just wish I could bottle it up and just douse the whole bunch with this revival atmosphere. Because in that kind of an atmosphere, things happen that don't happen in other places at times. And you know what? Old Roger, he never missed a service from that point on unless he was sick. He was not 100%, but he was 1,000% better than he ever was before. He worked in the Iwana program, Pastor Dennis. And he came to church all the time till the day he died. And you know what? Nothing's impossible with God. Well, I got a friend, Billy Shively. He's a pastor. And he had heart trouble and kept on having heart attacks. And he had one in the pulpit and died in the pulpit, man. And they run up there and keep him going till the medics come and haul him off to the hospital. So we heard about it, my wife and I, we got in the car, went over to see Sherry, they're our friends, and the doctor told Sherry, your husband, is probably not gonna make it. Very little chance, slim chance of survival, 10% or less, and even if he does, he'll never be normal. Oxygen deprivation. And I said to Sherry, I said, hey Sherry, how about if we pray the prayer of faith for Bill? Oh, that would be wonderful. So we prayed and their church really prayed the prayer faith. Well, he was in a coma for 21 days and finally came out of the coma, woke up just as coherent and cogent as he ever was. And I went in to see him and I said, man, this is like the third or fourth time this has happened. I said, you're like the cat with nine lives. He said, yeah, but I'm using them up pretty quick. And he's back in the pulpit even now. Nothing is impossible with God. We're at the Ladies' Prayer Advance. So we challenge the ladies at this prayer advance to pray impossible prayer requests. Don't pray for things that are possible or likely, but pray for things that only God can do. Well, there was this lady there, and she had an impossible prayer request. Her mother, Mama Carter, Anyway, Mama Carter was an elderly woman, she lived in Philadelphia, and the doctor said, you're too old, you need a kidney transplant, but you're too old, we're not going to do it. The daughter lived in Virginia, found a doctor in Richmond that said, hey, you find a kidney, I'll do the transplant. Her impossible prayer request was that God would provide her mom a kidney without killing somebody to do it. Went home, would you believe, would you believe two women of a different race Came up and said, God told me if my kids need a match, I want to give you one. Not one, two. And the first one was a match. And they went to Richmond, swapped them out. And then they come back to Prairie Vance. So here's the daughter, Alicia, telling the story. Here's Mama Carter. By the way, I adopted Mama Carter as my adopted mother. Because my mother passed away. So you have to take matters in your own hands sometimes, amen? So I adopted her. And she just graduated. She just graduated, which is a bummer. But anyhow, the point being, here's Mama Carter down here. She was a happy hallelujah person. And here was the donor over here. And Alicia's telling the story. And Mama Carter got years and years and years of extended life. Nothing's impossible with God. Well, we were in Danville, Illinois. And we're having a prayer summit. So we went off to Champaign to eat at the best Italian restaurant called Biaggi's. Biaggi's. Mark that down. Biaggi's. Tremendous. Anyhow, so we're in here at this great restaurant. And the pastor commences to tell us his kidney stone story. Now, how many know that some things are not appropriate at certain times and places? I mean, you got the marinara sauce going on, and here he is telling us, telling us, oh, brother. So he told us every detail. So his wife and my wife went on out to the parking lot, and the pastor and I, we managed to mosey on out and got out the front door, and no sooner than he got out that front door, he doubles over in writhing pain. Somehow I managed to get him to the car. My wife looks back and she says to his wife, I think Paul is sick. And his wife didn't bat an eye, didn't look back, and said, he'll be all right. He'll be all right. Now listen up, women. If your husband's sick, he needs some sympathy. He needs some pity. He's a wimp, and you should, you don't, well, he'll be all right. Don't say that. And my wife said, I don't think he's gonna be all right. He's pretty sick. We got him in the car, drove him to the hospital. Same hospital. And got him checked in. Lo and behold, a kidney stone attack. And the doc said, it's gonna be at least 24 hours, probably 48 hours before all this clears out. And so we got him checked in, went back to church. Here we are in church. prayer summit, I said, how many think we should pray the prayer of faith over Pastor Paul? Well, they said, amen. And in Illinois, if anybody says amen, that's a revival. And so we prayed the prayer of faith. And would you believe, by 1 o'clock, he was at home in his own bed, slept all night. 9 o'clock, here he is, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Nothing is impossible with God. Well, there was a pastor who came to the prayer events, and he got all stirred up. And he went home on Sunday morning, and he said to the church, he said, I'm asking God to send us the funds for our heating and air conditioning from outside of our church body. He said, some of you could write a check. But he said, I don't want you to write a check. He said, I want God to send it in from the outside. And I just got a big sentence. So he comes back to church that night, and when he gets back to church that night, he's got a check in his pocket for the entire amount for the heating and air conditioning. Nothing is impossible with God. Ambitious praying. You have not because you ask not. Why not ask it? Why not ask big? Say amen, somebody. I mean, why not? Well, I got one more. So we're at the ladies' prayer vans. Friend Holly Vaughn. She the doctors told her she could never have children any more children But nothing's impossible with God So her impossible prayer request that God would give her more children. Well next year she comes back a year later. Guess what? Bundle of joy on this shoulder. Nothing's impossible with God came back the next year and Had Olivia over here and little Cameron over here, got a double portion. Nothing's impossible with God. So I want to encourage you today, dear one. George Wheeler said that faith does not operate in the realm of the possible. Faith begins where man's power ends. Joseph Alain said that God normally answers us according to our expectations. God normally answers us according to our expectations. Man's extremity is God's opportunity and the sphere in which God does his greatest works is the sphere in which no one but God can work. Now, if you're alive and you know people and you have children and grandchildren, I guarantee you, you got some needs. Anybody here got some God-sized needs? I'm talking about God-sized needs. Well, what we need is some God-sized answers. Now, Jesus said, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, speak to the mountain, and it shall remove. Nothing shall be impossible unto you. Now, dear one, how about if we do it this way? Why don't we pray an impossible prayer request and things that are not probable? things that are not predictable, and things that are not even humanly possible. But nothing's impossible with God. So let's pray some prayers of faith and not prayers of doubt. And God doesn't need to hear about the statistics on the disease that so-and-so's got. Ain't got nothing to do with him. Just quit praying prayers of doubt. I'm sick of this mumbo-jumbo, letting God off the hook, expecting absolutely nothing. And we get nothing when we pray like that. I'm just telling you if you don't ask you ain't gonna get it and let's say pray some prayers of faith not prayers of circumstance not prayers of sight but prayers of faith now I know you got something and we're gonna pray for you we're gonna pray for your situation my son had a accident got run into by a lady and been in a concussion for 10 weeks and Nothing's going on, but nothing's impossible with God. And you got something going on in your sphere of influence, your family, your own body, your own friends, your whatever. You've got something going on. So let's tell God about our God-sized needs and let's unlock and unfreeze the asset of faith. And let's ask God, now, what do you need? I mean, what do you need? Wisdom? Yes. Who doesn't? Jobs? Healing? Peace? Patience? Provision? Protection? A reviving touch? I mean, what do you need? Well, let's thank God, because he already has the supply in hand. And by faith, let's thank the Lord in advance for his abundant protection and provision. How many think when we come to church, we not only need to talk about prayer, we actually should be praying while we're at the church because the Father's house is a house of? So here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna pray prayers of faith, prayers of faith, prayers of faith. So here's what I want you to do. I want you to find one other person. Now, if your family's got something going on and y'all need to huddle up, go ahead. But otherwise, if you're a man, find one other man. If you're a woman, find one other woman and just swat your main prayer burden. Not things that are probable, predictable, but the stuff that only God can do. Share your burden and let's pray in faith. Believe in God. By the way, thanking God is the first step of faith. If you're going to ask God for it, go ahead and thank him for it because thanking God is the first step of faith. Everybody good with this? We're doing it anyhow. Stand to your feet, men. Stand to your feet, men with men, women with women. Let's pray prayers of faith.
