good singing as. Spirit-filled singing. Amen. It's got a touch of God on it. Amen. You can't find that anywhere. You can't find it anywhere. My little wife just asked me a moment ago while we was praying what she could help me pray about. And I was just praying for my parents. I was raised up in a good home. Amen. Somebody's going to have to turn me down, They won't be able to stand me here in a minute, amen. I was raised in a good home. I was blessed beyond measure. Had anything that we could ever want. Food in our cabinets and clothes on our back. Never went without anything. And I think back about how good God's been. And the things that he has kept me from. And even though I had my years of running wild and doing whatever I wanted to do when I wanted to do it, he pursued me. I think about that a lot. How he just, his love pursued me. I ain't the smartest man in the world. I'm not a Bible scholar. I'm not a doctor in theology. But boy, I'm glad I know. I'm glad I know the mercies and the grace of God. And when he found me, he should have just left. I guess it's all right if I just praise him for a minute and a half. And to think at the age of 21, illegal drinking age, partying age, when all my buddies was going to jail and one of my friends I had already murdered a boy and done been sentenced to 32 to life. I stood back and I said, God, why me? Why'd you pursue me? Have you ever asked yourself that? I don't deserve him. And you know what the good news of it is, is He don't need me. He don't need you to fulfill what He has purposed in the book. But the good news is He wants you. He desires you. He loves you with a love that's incomprehensible to our minds. And Travis, when we was as vile and wretched, he said, I love you. John Cannon down there on the track, son, he pursued you. Brother Chris, when you was running the streets of Cleveland, he pursued you. Tim, when you was just a little old church boy, he still pursued you. I say bless his name this morning. Amen. We're going to try to preach. I don't know this morning. I feel a lot like Anthony. I just feel like squalling. Amen. Amen. Take your Bibles and turn with us to Matthew chapter 11. Amen. I'm going to tell you, my body is tired. My voice is tired. We've traveled a lot of miles this week. But I want to say that every mile is worth it. A man, there was a little woman up there, seven islands, by the name of Eugenia, hugged my neck Friday night and said, I'm thankful somebody got enough God about them to preach to me the gospel. And Scotty, I said again, Lord, Why'd you pick me? Somebody raise a hand toward heaven before we read and say you love the Lord. Look over at your neighbor and say do you love him? Yeah. He loves you. He loves you. Amen. Matthew chapter 11 verse 28. I'm going to start reading. That's our main scripture this morning. I'm going to start reading in verse 25. Verse 25, if you're there, somebody say Amen. The Bible said, And at that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, O Lord of heaven and earth. because thou hast hid these things from the wise, and prudent has revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered unto me of my Father, and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father. Neither knoweth any man the father save the son and he to whomsoever the son will reveal him. Verse 28, we all know it. Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden. He said and I will give you rest. Take your yoke upon you, my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart. And ye shall find rest unto your souls, for my yoke is easy. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. And my burden is light. Let us pray, Father. God, I need you this morning. God, I need help, God, from the throne. God, I pray for just a moment this morning. God, you'd speak to me and God, you'd speak through me, Lord. God, I just want to thank you, Jesus. God, that is as wretched and vile as a sinner as I was. Oh, thank you, Lord. You came down to where I was and you changed me. God, you saved me from the bottomless pit of hell. And Father, I just want to exalt you this morning. And I want to let some soul in this building this morning know, God, that you're good. And God, you've not overlooked the youngest or to the oldest. But God, you've seen all of us in your sight. God, you said in Isaiah 43 that you called us by our name, and you said that we are yours. Father, I need you now, and God, I'll preach. In Jesus' name, God, whether I preach to the fullness of the ability you've given us, God, or if I just squawk for a little while, as I'm reminded of your goodness, Oh, God, I pray for your will, for your will, God, to be done. And we ask all these things in Jesus' name. And all of God's people said together, Amen and Amen. You may be seated this morning. Amen. I begin to think that this week, that as we were traveling up the road there to see more, Turned on Potterfield Gap, and some of you probably don't have a clue where that is, and I didn't until this week. But as I turned on to Potterfield Gap the other night, and oh my goodness, there's a spirit of God that come down, I begin to think about, and that how Jesus had come and not too many of those are in the Bible. I preached the other night on come and see a man. A man of how that woman at the well in John 4 said, come and see a man who told me all things. that I've ever done. She said, come and see a man that changed my life. Come see a man, a man that told me that he was a Messiah. Hey man, I just want to say this morning there was many of those that would come and they'd see and that who Jesus was, what Jesus could do, and that in their lives, friend, I just want to go on record this morning and say that I have seen, and that the goodness of God in my life, amen, and He came to me, and that as a 21 year old boy, amen, didn't know much, but He saved me. Hey man, never forget the first time I gave my testimony. Hey man, Brother Jeff Pike stuck his head in my inspection booth at Denzel Manufacturing and he told me, he said, Son, do you know Jesus? And I said, yeah, He just saved me. He said, won't you just brag on Him for a little while? And this morning, if I could, I just want to brag on Jesus for a little while. I want to say firstly, and that concerning, come unto me, He said. Friend, you can come see a man today. Hey man, John, I ain't going to preach that. But I'm going to preach, come unto me. And this morning I want to say they swore on a man who was there in the beginning. And friend, he was there after 400 years of silence. And that Jesus was born of a virgin mother. Jesus. And that defined all odds. Amen. They couldn't figure out who he was or what he came to do. Amen. They said, who is this man? At 12 years old they said, who he is? This boy, that he teaches a doctrine unlike we have never heard. They said, who is he? All the knowledge that he had. All the understanding that he had. A friend, but yet he was just a child. But he was unlike any child that had ever been seen before. A friend this morning, you may say, well, what is this ruckus about a man named Jesus? Well, I'm glad that you asked me today. I'm just going to exalt Him for a few moments. Hey man, I'm ready to eat, praise God. Hey man, we've done got some spiritual food out here in this place this morning. Oh, but I'm here to tell you that there's a place you can come. Oh, there's a place you can go. Oh, there's a place, amen, where you can come unto one. That will show you all things. Friend, the Bible said that He came under blinded eyes and He calls them to open. I'm just going to exalt Him. Is that alright this morning? Amen. You shout and praise during the singing. How about shouting and praising during the preaching? Amen. Can I tell you this morning, friend, His name they called Emmanuel, which was interpreted God with us. A friend there had a baby, they held Him in their arms, and they seen that there was something special in it about Him. Amen! They prophesied about Him, and they called Him. The bride and the morning star. Amen. That he would light the way unto all nations. They talked about this man Jesus. Friend, listen to me now. How he would be a balm of Gilead in a sick nation. Brother James, thank God that he'd come to offer a remedy. Amen, for a people who could not help their self. Friend, He was a remedy, and that for those it was sin-sick. Amen, He was a living water. For those that are thirsty, He is the bread of life. For those that are hungry, and He said, come and buy without price. And over there in Isaiah 1, in verses 16 through 18, He said, Come now and let us reason together. Though your sins be as scarlet, they can be as white as snow. And though they be red like crimson, they can be as wool. And that friend, he would say, that you need of the good of the land. Friend, the Bible said he's wonderful. Amen. He was the counselor, the prince of peace. Friend, he's everything that you could ever want and anything you could ever need. His name this morning is the name that is referred to as the name which is above. Every name, any friend that had the name of Jesus, every knee would bow, every tongue would confess, this man Jesus. They called Him the Lamb that was without spot and without blemish in Isaiah 53. Amen. They called Him a rude and out of David, out of dry ground. A friendless son, they'd call him rabbi. A man, they'd call him master. They'd call him, oh, teacher. A great prophet, these many things they'd call him. And Nathaniel would say, is there anything good? that can come out of Nazareth. Amen. And Jesus would say, I've seen you while you were yet under the fig tree. Honey John the Baptist would say, behold, the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. Amen. How many's glad? John 14 and six. He's the way of the truth. in the life, amen. He is the everlasting way. He is, amen, healing for the hurting. He is, amen, a restoration for the broken down. A friend he is, praise God the potter that will place you upon his will and he'll wrought a good work in your life. He is, praise God. Amen. He is, isn't that the author? and the finisher of our faith. Amen. He wrote the book. Praise God, He finished the book. Amen. And I'm glad this morning that there ain't nothing that slips through His hands. Amen. He knows all about it. He knows your life. He knows what you're going through. He sees your storms. He's the storm calmer. Amen. If you got chains, He is the chain breaker. Amen. If you've got sin, He is the great forgiver. Amen. All you need to do is come. He said come. Come unto me. Come. He said unto me, Preacher how can I come? You don't know what I've done in my life. You don't know what I've done. You don't know where I've been. You don't know what I've said. You don't know the poison that's been in my tongue. Amen. And that's what the Scripture says. It's full of deadly poison. You don't know who I've hurt in my life. You don't know the pain that I've caused. Amen. You say, well, preacher, can he really do something for me? Amen. Ask the woman with the issue of blood. And she'll answer. And she'll say unto you today. She'll say, hey! Amen. He healed me. The Bible said immediately the issue of bloodstains. And she was healed with just the touch from his garment. He said, Who touched me? Amen. And Peter said, Lord, what are you talking about? Who touched thee? And he said, Somebody touched the hem of my garment. And for the virtue, has gone out of me. Amen. And he turned around and there lay that little woman for twelve years had suffered in her life. And immediately she got healed. Amen. Do you believe in a God like that today? Do you believe in that Jesus? I believe in that Jesus. Amen. They say don't preach about His blood. Don't sing about His blood. Don't talk about His blood. Honey, I'm telling you it's by His blood. Amen. That I have been made whole. That I have been redeemed. That I know God. Because of my intercessor, my mediator. He's my go-between. He's my propitiation. Amen. Praise God. He's my wall-breaker-downer. Honey, He is my everything. Amen. And He says, Boy, He's something, ain't He? Do you know Him? Do you know Him? I'm going to ask you again. Do you know Him? Do you know Him? Amen. If you know Him, then you know He is all of these things. Amen. He can calm the fiercest storm. He can take and roll back the blackest night. He can take and shine in a light. Amen. For He is a light. In little John chapter 1, in verse number 7, it said, If we will walk in the light, as His in the light, we'll have fellowship one with another in the blood, in the blood, in the blood of Jesus will cleanse us from all, all of our sins. And me likes that old song that says, that you was plunged beneath the flow. Amen. And you lose all of your guilty stains. Amen. This morning I just want to go on record and I want to say all you got to do. The work's done been done. The cross has done been carried. The blood's done been shed. I've been gave. Amen to Jesus. And friend, I'm here to tell you. You say, well preacher, you don't know how dirty my heart is. You're right, I don't. And friend, you don't know my heart neither. But friend, I am here to tell you there's one. Amen, who knows you. And he still loves you. And he cares for your soul. Amen. It must be under conviction it's running, praise the Lord. Can I tell you this morning, friend? Amen! Jesus is your remedy! And we don't move no more. We don't come pray no more. We do not honor Him no more. Amen! When He's already did everything for you, All you have to do is come to Jesus and call upon His name. If you've got family problems, amen, He's got the solution. If you've got marital problems, then He's got the solution. If you've got studying and praying and spiritual problems, He's got a remedy for you. Amen. You say, preacher, I just don't know if I've ever been saved. He's got the remedy for you. Amen. Maybe you're here this morning, you're lost. You say, preacher, I don't know who you're preaching about. He's got a remedy for you. And it's called salvation. You see, friend, when we should have got what we deserve, when we should have went to hell, amen, John, that burdened my heart and just killed me the other night that God had me preach hell like he did. Because somebody left that place there and that Thursday night lost as a ball in high weeds. But they heard hell. Friends, somebody said don't preach that no more. I like to preach it because I'm reminded I ain't going there. Amen. All because of Jesus. All because of Jesus. Amen. Can anybody help me uplift him this morning? That it's all because of the darling Son of God, Jesus. That I'm not in hell today. Amen. It's the only reason. And he said, come unto me. In verse 28, all that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. I want you to read that again. He said, I will give you rest. You want me to tell you what that is? That's a promise. That's a promise. He didn't say I'd think about it. He didn't say that maybe I'll give you rest. He didn't say that maybe or I might just consider it. But friend, he said, I will. When He told Moses in Exodus 3 concerning the bondage of Egypt, He said that I will deliver you. He said I will bring you up out of all of your affliction. He said I will take you to a land that's flowing with milk and honey. It's homecoming this morning. How many is looking forward to a land where there's no more pain? No more suffering. No more cancer. No more drugs. No more sin. Amen. Boy, that sounds like home. Amen. I'm looking forward to that. And I hope you are today. Amen. And there's only one way you can get prepared for it. You've got to come to Jesus. preacher, somebody might look at me. If I get up out of my pew and I come down that middle aisle and I fall down before the feet of Jesus, somebody might look at me and say, well, I wonder what's wrong with them. Well, can I give you a good piece of advice? This morning, if they're looking at you in that aspect, then they need to be beside you. And friend, I'm going to tell you what will happen here at this church. Hey man, if ain't, I'll go around wrangle them up and bring them down there to you. Amen. But friend, they'll come around and they'll pray over you. Friend, they'll pray for you. They'll pray with you. Amen. We've got to pray in church. I thank God for that. Amen. Because there's been times when I felt like I could not as the pastor put one foot in front of the other. Amen. But the Spirit of God was allowed to put His arms up under my arms. And they were some men of God and some ladies of God who got up behind me. Amen. And said, Preacher, I'll hold your arms up and we'll just go with you. Friedhelm is glad that they did that because they know who Jesus is. Amen. They didn't do it so somebody could see them. But they did it because they knew that God would be there. Come unto me, he said. Come unto me. This morning you need to come to him. Firstly, I'm going to give you three points and I'll be done. He says, come unto me. You'll find this phrase, come unto me, in Matthew 11 and 28. You'll also find it in Matthew 19 and 14. Where he said, come unto me. He said, suffer the little children. Amen. And he said, forbid them not to come and head unto me. Friend, he's not just speaking about the little ones, but he's also speaking about those that's his. Hey man, you know what the shepherd does for the sheep, the little sheep that goes astray, is he'll pick him up, he'll leave the ninety and nine in search of one, and he'll pick it up, and he'll hold it in his arms, and then he'll take and wrap it around his neck, and he'll carry it, amen, out of a far land, out of dangerous way. Hey friend, he'll take you, Back to the fold, friend. Amen. You say, well, so and so might not want me in the fold. Amen. That's one of them sheep that thinks they're wolves, but they ain't as harmless as they think they are. Honey, I'm going to tell you what, the real sheep will do is they'll gather right around in around that little sheep that's been lost, and they'll welcome him back. Amen. Into the fold. Thank God. Amen. The shepherd did not leave me to die in the wilderness. But he brought me back into the fold of God. This morning I want to say you just got to come to Him. Oh, He's a great big God and how do I know that He sees me? He knows you tonight. The Bible said this morning He has the hires on your head numbered and He knows you by your name. He has the grain of sand on the seashore all accounted for and He knows how many there are. Hey friend, He does not lose you in the midst of the crowd. Hey, praise God. Amen. He knows everything you're going through. He sees your trial. He sees your trouble. And thank God He has come to set you free. Amen. Can I tell you this morning you'll also find that phrase in Mark 10 and 14 and Luke 18 and 16. Amen. He says come unto me. He's begging you. He's asking you. He's pleading with you. He's pursuing you to come. and rest in His arms. Secondly, this morning I want to say no man can come to Him except John 6 and 65. If you've got your Bibles, I invite you to go there with us. In John 6 and 65, the Bible says this. Praise the Lord. Therefore I said unto you that no man can come unto Me except it were given unto him of my Father. This morning he would say these words. He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no man cometh unto the Father except by me. And then in another scripture he says that no man cometh unto the Father except by me, who the Father has sent draw. He said, the Father who sent me, draw him. Amen. Friend, and this morning he has pursued you and begged you to come to Him for some time. I went from the age of 16 to the age of 21 running from God to be saved. And I told Him I was okay. I told Him I was alright. I had everything figured out. I was miserable inside. I was gripping and reaching for anything that would fill the void that was in my heart. But I'm here to tell you this morning you're not going to find no peace in the bottom of a liquor bottle. You'll not find peace down the road at the local drug dealer's house. Listen to me, young people, you're not going to find any peace and joy long term, everlasting. And that in those buddies and those friends that says, oh, come on, let's go party. I have been more happier and have had more fun. Amen. Enjoyed myself more now since I've been saved than I have my entire life. And friend, I sit back now and I say, good Lord, why did I not surrender sooner? Why did I not give my heart to Him when He first called my name? Amen. But how many can testify we're a little hard-headed? Amen. And we're definitely a lot stony hearted. But he said in his word he'd give us a heart of what? Somebody knows your Bible. Flesh. Flesh. This morning have you received that heart of flesh? You ain't gonna get it unless you come to Jesus. Unless you come by the one that draws you. The Father's pursuing you now. He's knocking on your heart's door. Why would you wait any longer? Preacher, I just came because you're eating today. Bless your heart. Amen. I'm just coming because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather went to church here. Oh, bless your heart. This morning, friend, I came. You set aside Mother's Day and you set aside homecoming. Friend, I came here today to hear from my Lord. Amen. And if there be any error in my heart, if there be any error in my ways, if there be any sin present in my life, I pray, purge me from it. Cleanse me, Lord. Amen. Let me, if there is, be the first to get out of the way and call upon the name of Jesus. Do you know this morning all you've got to do is come? All you've got to do is come. Thirdly, and we're done this morning, come unto Him and drink. Have you ever been thirsty? Does anybody like water? Our body needs it, do you realize that? We're made up so much of water and our body needs this to survive. I didn't say energy drinks. Coffee, some of us runs off coffee. Hey man, come on, help me. Hey man, I love coffee. Some of us run off Mountain Dew, soda pop and all that good stuff, amen. But you gotta have water to survive. The beast of the field in Africa cannot live without a rainy season. And finding that one place, a watering hole in their life. You realize that? They'd all perish if it wasn't for a flow in the middle of nowhere. This morning, you may be in the middle of nowhere, about done. Anthony, would you get me a song of invitation? Could you do that this morning? Colby will help you, or whoever will help you. Brother, boy, you're a blessing, amen. Can I tell you this morning, friend, that a lot of times we get in that desert place, in the middle of nowhere, spiritually, and we forget that we have to have water to survive. You say a wildebeest will suck a water hole dry. They say they're one of the dumbest creatures in the Sahara Plains over there in Africa. They say they're one of the dumbest animals that there is. Obviously they're not. Because they got enough sense to come to the water when they are thirsting to death. Stand to your feet very quietly, very reverently across this house. How long has it been, friends, since you came and got a drink of water? Somebody's sitting there right now this morning and you're saying, I wish to eat hush so I can get out of here. I've been in your shoes. I've been there in your shoes. All you got to do this morning is come and drink. That woman of Samaria come to the well that morning, she sat down. She had her watering pots come in the middle of the day. I mean, it was scalding hot. My Uncle Steve, I tell him he's lost his mind in his old age. He won't weed eat till one or two o'clock in the evening. He'll lay in the house all morning while it's cool. Heat of the day comes, he's out there just getting it. I said, there's something wrong with you. I like to get out there when it's cool, amen. Shade, still got shade, dew on the grass. I don't care if it's wet or not, don't bother me none. But this morning I want to say this to you. He said to the woman at the well, said, except you drink the water that I shall give you. He said, you'll thirst. But if you'll drink of the water that I shall give you, he said, you'll never thirst again. How many are glad about that this morning? Amen. This morning you just feel so dry, you feel so thirsty. You're just longing for a drink of water. Can I tell you all you've got to do is come. The watering hole is right here this morning, friend. All you've got to do is come to Jesus. That woman said, Sir, I like this. Give me this water. Whenever she realized who He was, she'd come running off that hill that morning. And she passed up the disciples. The disciples went down there. They must have been Baptist. I said that the other night. Because they'd been to find something to eat. And missed one of the greatest moments in Scripture. When a woman of Samaria came to a Jewish man, whose name was Jesus, and received eternal life. The Bible still stands true, and this morning it says this, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. You've got the gospel this morning. I've given you my heart. I've given you what God's put on me. Won't you come to Jesus today? Call on his name. Bow your heads, Father God. I pray you bless this invitation, God. Lord, do have your way. Bless Brother Anthony. God, I pray you'd fill him, God, from the sole of his feet to the top of his head. Let him see souls for his labor. Father, I thank you for what you have done in my heart this morning. In Jesus' name, amen and amen.
