Brought back from our slavery in sin. Conceived in sin, the Bible says. Every one of us born in sin and live and of course die in it too. Unless, unless that is your redeem. Unless the ransom price has been paid and there's only one Christ and that's the death of another, the blood of someone shed for sinners like you and I. And of course God in the immensity of the greatness of his love has provided us with the redemption twice. Love of God, not religion. of a God that sent His only begotten Son into the world, that through Him that you might be redeemed, brought back, that is, from sin's dark path. And of course, as the days go on, in our land and our nation today, getting darker almost by the moment, So, the love of God, God so loved the world, evil, dark world, so loved it, that He gave His one and only Son, that through Him, believing, trusting in Him, the redemption price cost has been met, met by God, met by your Maker, the one who is your Maker, lawgiver, your judge, one before whom you will stand in that day and give account to him for all your doings, even for that sinful nature that became yours through parentage. The natural generation, one after the other, conceived Mormon sin live and die in it, but for the grace, but for the loving kindness of God. In sending His one and only Son into the world to die on that cross, shed His blood that through His blood that you might have peace with God and know the peace of God. Sure, there are many, many unhappily today Many in Staffordshire today who would like to have a measure, a monocle of peace, maybe in their community, maybe in their families, maybe in their homes, maybe perhaps even in your very own heart. Peace has been made. The price has been paid. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, loved sinners, gave Himself for them, died on the cross. God's love for you in Christ. God so loved the world that He gave a gift, family, sinners, a gift, that's all. Not religion. The gift of His Son is only begotten. The gift of Jesus, God's gift to a bad, to an evil world, all you have to do concerning as a gift is receive it, is to take it, make it your own. He came, Bible says, to his own, his own people that is. They did not receive him. They reject him. They still reject him today. But to those who did receive him, To those that did believe on His name, He gave them the right, He gave them the authority to become children of God, welcomed into the family of God. That's how you become a child of God. That's how you become a member of God's family, receiving the gift of God, the gift of His Son and Jesus Christ and what He has performed, that which He has done. Not what you do. Not religion. Not doing religion. No religious hoops to jump through. No religious clothes to wear. no religious fandangle at all. You simply receive the gift of God, His Son, Jesus Christ, sent into the world in order that you might be reconciled to God, in order that you might be brought back to Him, in order that you might know the generosity of His love, His redeeming love. in order that you might experience it, not just be told about it, but experience it for yourself. And know the forgiveness of God, the pardon, justified freely from all that you've ever done, thought, said, and did every evil deed, every idle word, Jesus says, in that day. we give account to Him. But today is the day, not a day of judgment. I don't come to judge you, Jesus doesn't. I don't come to judge men, I don't come to condemn, He said. I came, I came that men might be saved. Christ Jesus came into the world not to make men religious, but to save them. No condemnation, No judgment for those who are entrusting in Christ Jesus, the Bible says. Simply receive the free love of God, the free justification of God. It's really received. It's really taken. It's really offered to you here today. The love of God in Jesus, His Son. God so loved the world, herein is the love of God that He gave His one and only Son to be a sacrifice for sin. For sinners such as you and I, sinners of all stripes, man does not want to set out That is not what traps you. Freedom, perfect freedom in Jesus, Son of God. If the Son shall make you free, He says, you shall be free indeed from all condemnation, from all judgment. But that day is coming. Do I have to warn you? Do I have to tell you? Do I have to enlighten you? You have to inform you that day is coming when you stand before God as appointed unto man once to die, comes to us all sooner or later, when the reaper comes and wraps his slimy fingers around your soul, your spirit, and returns it to God for judgment. Spited for man, wants to die, but after that then, then comes the judgment, and you stand before God and give account. Even for this occasion, when you are told of His love, when you are told of His free grace, when you are told of His gift, and if you have it, If you had received it, you had believed, you had trusted in God's promise of salvation, of forgiveness in that day, well, your condemnation will be great to the uttermost, I tell you. Depart from me. He will say to you, I never knew you. Depart from me, you worker of iniquity. That will be the judgment then. But today is a day of grace. Today is God's time of salvation. Maybe for you, Hanley Center. Maybe for you. Maybe this is your day, who knows? Born again, born of God's Spirit, made a new creature in Jesus Christ. The old gone, passed away, and the new come, a new life, new start. a new way of God's Spirit, not walking after the flesh anymore, the natural state and condition in which you were conceived and born and live and will die unless you receive the grace of God. I'd like to learn, I'd like to read about God's salvation, free gift, Three Bibles offered to you here today. Bibles, New Testaments. This here Gospel of John. Good place to begin. Never read the Bible before. John's Gospel tell you who Jesus is. God, the only true and living God. That's who He is. Tell you who He is. Tell you what He said. Tell you what He did. Tell you why He did it for sinners like you. Here you can read these very words for yourself. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, die in their sin that is, face the judgment, face the condemnation of God, but have everlasting life. Sent before you, suffered to you here this afternoon, Gift is something only that you receive. You just reach out the hand of faith and you take that which is offered to you. Free salvation, freedom from condemnation, freedom from judgment, freedom from that eternal punishment that awaits even now, awaits all the impenitent. who brave their last, who go out of this world in their sin, they open their eyes to the other side of death, and they're faced with the judge of all the earth. What a dreadful day that will be for some. Don't let that be you. Read God's Word. It's offered to you freely. Read God's Word. Read the Bible for yourself. Read John's Gospel. See, these things were written. It says that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, is the Son of God, and that believing, you might have life in His name. Life is what's offered to you. Not religion. Life. Life. Life from the dead. Resurrection. Regeneration. Jesus says here in John's Gospel, he must be born again. Except a man is born again, he can't see, can't understand, can't perceive the things of the kingdom of God, the possibility, the natural spirit condition, conceived in sin, born in sin, live and die in sin, darkness of mind. God has to switch the light on in your heart and mind. and reveal these things to you, because unless he does, God has revealed himself. The Bible says, in all of creation, everything is made. That leaves us not alone. Don't you know, it leaves all men without excuse. Some men, you know, some people, they call themselves atheists. There's no such a thing on the planet. Such a thing doesn't exist. Fool says they smart. It was fool's day yesterday. Huh? Fool's day yesterday. Was that your day yesterday? Fool says in his heart there is no God. Now there's no atheists. Because of all the things that God has made, you've got no excuse for not knowing what God is. You look in the mirror in the morning, what do you see? You see a man, you see a woman, made in the image of God. But that image is marred, spoiled because of sin. But in Jesus, in the love of God, that image of God can be restored in you. That's why He sent His Son into the world, to die on that cross, so that this redemption, this salvation, this forgiveness, this renewal, this restoration might be yours. Yours simply for the taking. Yours for the believing. Yours for the receiving. Yours for the looking. Look unto me, all ye ends of the earth, and be saved, says the Lord. Look doesn't take a lot of doing. Trusting doesn't take a lot of effort. You simply rest in the Savior, in the gift of God, in the promise of God, and you get the salvation of God. That's all. That's all. There's still work to do. The work has been done. The work has been done for you. Christ has done it. Christ has done it all. The work has been done. Christ has done it all. He's done the living. He's done the loving. He's done the dying. He's done the rising from the dead. All that's required of you is that you believe. Listen up to God's word for you today. Heavenly sinners, listen up. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love for which he loved us, Even when we were dead in sin, have quickened us together with Christ. By grace are you saved. The grace of God, the free, free grace of God. Free as free can be. Free, gratis, no cost, no price. Come, without money, without price, the prophet says. Can't pay for it. Can't be religious for it. Can't be good for it. Can't go to church for it. Can't do nothing for it. Simply receive. No money, no price. You just simply stretch out the hand of faith and you receive the sweet grace of God. It's the grace of God that saves. Grace alone. Amazing. Astonishing. Astonishing. Grace. Mercy. I tell you, for sinners, heavenly sinners, here today, a world of sinners, who would believe, get the mercy, get the grace, get the love of God. Don't matter what they are. Don't matter what kind of sinners they are. Oh, there's religious ones, you know. You know, there's a, there's a, There's the Mohammedans, you know, there's Islam, there's Rome, there's Mecca, there's Rome, and all your cults and sects, you know. Religious sinners, they abound. Even here in Hanley today, I don't save nobody. That don't bring the grace of God to nobody. That don't bring the mercy of God to anybody. That's just religious doing. Not saved. But religious sinners, they get saved too. Sometimes God opens their eyes. Sometimes God gives them His grace, His free grace. Gives it to whoever He pleases to give it to. The free grace of God. for religious sinners, Mecca's variety, Rome's variety, you name it. Idolaters, that's what they are. Religious idolater. And of course, there's the others, you know, there's the breaches of God's commandments, you know, every one of them. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Not just, you know, cheating on your wife, your husband, plenty of that going on in Hanley today. That you, Hanley Centre, today, an adulterer, that what you are, filthy, unclean adulterer, of course that covers fornication, 6, you know, outside of God's institution of holy matrimony, that you, a fornicator, sleeping with every Tom, Dick, and Harry, and every Lady Jane, fornicators get saved as well, get the grace of God, and they receive it, that is. Or maybe perhaps, you know, it's the now today, it's the same sex to sodomy, the Bible calls it. Same sex to you. Men with men, women with women. Bible says, don't you know, that's why the judgment, that's why the wrath of God is upon our nation today because of such things. Such filthy, unclean things. a filthy, unclean nation under the judgment and wrath of God. But some of them get saved too, you know, they get their eyes opened and they see, they understand. Q. The question was, if you were God, would you be creating hell here? Q. And he created an absolute catastrophe. There was no sickness, no pain, no suffering when God created everything upright. Everything and everybody. Man's sin has got the whole mess, the whole mess of humanity on us. I can't talk to you about it. That's man's doing, yeah. God's giving you the remedy, sir. God's giving you the remedy. I mean, I heard one the other day, telling me there's no such thing as evolution. That's right. And the whole universe is only 6,000 years old, old man. Where do you get evolution from? You're sitting back in your imagination. I can't explain. No, you can't. You don't understand evolution. Not even the scientists can understand it. No, if you don't understand evolution... Why is that a matter? Why is there something and not nothing? Why is there anything and not nothing? You could say that about God. You're just moving the question back a bit. Well, okay, but I'm coming with the light of eternity to where you and I are both going one day, one way or another. No, no, it's eternal. God is eternal. Yeah. Things don't just happen, sir. They do. There's no such thing as... Eternal doesn't just happen. There's no such thing as an accident. Yeah, you were talking about God being eternal. Where's that come from? From the Bible. There's one. Well, I've had a lot of difficulties with you in the past. What are you talking about? You're talking about heaven. So, that explains, you've caught from a fish already. That's before we get to live. That explains nothing. Nice talking to you sir, eh? You and I will not agree until you repent sir and believe the gospel. God loves you. God loves you. And there's a saviour who will enlighten you. Repent of what? Your sins sir. I haven't committed any sins. You weren't conceived, you were born in sin. You just, a few minutes ago, you just blasphemed God, eh? Yeah, plus, if you think about it, it's stopping you from asking questions. It stops you from asking questions. No, it doesn't. You can use God's name whenever you like, can't you? Well, I mean, if I start asking questions, I'll keep asking you. Not when that wasn't what you said, or God you said. It was taking God's name and name, sir. No, no, I wasn't really taking God's name. That's just one. That's just one. That's a sin. That's a sin. That's a sin. That's a sin. Along with your fornication, your unclean thoughts, your cursing, your swearing, your hatred of your fellow man. It's all sin, sir. That's all we are, just pieces of walking, breathing, talking sin. And there's a wonderful cure, the blood of God's Son, Jesus Christ, shed for your mocking sin, for your mocking soul. What's he going to do for me? Save you. Save me from what? Turn the light on in your heart tonight. Save me from what? From your sin, from his judgment. Because one day you're going to stand before him in judgement. I'm not, I'm not. You've got to understand. I don't believe that. There's no good in it. I'm not threatening you, I'm just telling you the truth. That's the point that I came out last night. You're talking about something that doesn't exist. It doesn't exist. We're being judged even now. It doesn't exist. Well, if you believe that sir, you believe that, then you're going to be sorely disappointed. I love you. I love you. I love you and I'm trying to tell you the truth that you might be saved. I mean I've just put a question to you. Would you create film here? No I wouldn't. Of course I wouldn't. I wouldn't in my right mind would. God didn't. But God didn't. God didn't. He's created everything. Yes. But he created a good opera. Man brought sin into the world, and man's brought death. And what causes death? Well, what causes death? What causes death? Cancer, polio, car accidents, plane crashes? Cause death? Death is the wages of sin, son. That's how we get it. Polio, cancer, that's the means of bringing you to death, and then death brings you to judgment, instead of giving account to God. You say all this idea that there's some spiritual thing that you can't touch, you can't see. It's all in your head, isn't it? Is it? Really. How fast is it? You don't believe what you can't see, yeah? Oh, don't tell me about electricity or wind or something, don't tell me. So you've talked to a few Christians, haven't you? Listen, my part... Is this one of your hobbies? My part... Is this one of your hobbies? No, no, my part is a consultant psychologist. So, I know all about your psychology stuff. My ex, funnily enough, my ex was a forensic psychologist. So, I've had a lot of training in psychology. You know, when you start thinking of angels and devils and... You know, training in the bible and stuff, you know. Not psychology. I know you don't. That's why I'm here. That's why I'm here, because you and I, you and thousands of others don't. That's why I'm here. Look, all the churches are closing down. We're going to be like France soon. I'm going to be the next secular country. We're not going to have religion soon. There's very few people there. No, you will. You will. The next thing that's coming is Islam. Oh yes. You will be one of them. You'll be one of them whether you like it or not. Yes, I know. So Hanley, the love of God. God needs to switch the light on in your mind. Your sin darkened mind. Give you light. hope, mercy, salvation. There's a way out of the mess. There's a way out of the darkness. There's a way out, a way back to God. It's on the dark, dark path of sin. And Jesus, He is it. God is rich in mercy. Rich, He says, rich. The riches, the treasures, I tell you, of God's mercy, great mercy, mercy that covers sin. The worst of sin, I tell you. We were talking just a few minutes ago, you know, about all the different stripes of sins that there are. You know, the commandments that are broken. All of them, every one of them. All one to ten we've broken. You and I both, we've broken every one of them. Well, my point in highlighting these sins You know the awful ones, well what you might perceive to be the awful ones. The worst ones though, you know, are against God, unbelief, an evil heart of unbelief. That's worse than the, you know that's worse than the sodomy, that's worse than the fornicating, that's worse than the murder, by euthanasia, by abortion. The sins against God, they're the worst. The ones against, directly against Almighty God, the idolatry, false religion, and opulence in your world, in your society today, they're the worst sins. My point is that no matter how bad, no matter how deep, no matter your stripe of sin, the man is just talking to, starting out by blaspheming God's name, you know, but by taking God's name in vain. That's a worse sin than all the others I mentioned. Blaspheming God's name. So like I say, you see, the depth of the sin, the stripe of the sin, The blood and the mercy of God covers it all. It's the love of God in Jesus Christ, His Son. God. God so loved the world. His mercy, rich, rich in mercy, I tell you. Sinners. Christ. Jesus loved sinners and gave himself for them. What did he give himself to? To the death of the cross, to live, to take our nature, become one of us, live and love and suffer and breathe and die, shed his blood on that cross in order that we might be a recipient of God's rich mercy. He gave himself up to the death of the cross. taken by the hands, wicked, cruel, evil men, like ourselves, here in Hamlet today, and nailed to a cross to suffer, bleed, and die, take hell upon himself, that that hell might not be yours, that you might be relieved of it, saved from it. There's a day of judgment coming, and we'll answer for all our sins, But not just the deeds, not just the deeds, not just what you thought, not just what you said and done. A very nature that you walk about in, you've got souls that are dead within you. Dead, he says it is, trespasses and sins. Spiritually dead, alienated from God and from the life of God because of your sinful natures in which you were conceived and born. You're like bodies walking about handily here today. You're like walking coffins, you know, with dead souls in you. No life in you. That's why Jesus says you must be born again. Except a man be born again, he can't see, he can't perceive the kingdom of God. The man I was talking to just a few minutes ago telling me, he doesn't believe, I know that. A charity, you hear on the other side of my voice, you this afternoon don't believe. Can't believe. Impossibility for you to believe. You can talk about it all day long, but until God, in His sovereign grace and rich mercy, intervenes, and through the preaching of the Gospel, see what I'm doing here today, telling you this afternoon, unless He switches the light on, and reveals to you something of the extent of your sin, the depth of it, and what you're faced with, the horror of the judgment that's to come, in order that you might see, understand your need, your desperate need of Jesus Christ, because only He, only He can take your sin away. That's why He's called the Lamb of God, don't you know? God's sacrificial lamb. Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world, and will take yours away today, should you, that is, believe, trust in Him. In Jesus, that is, receive Him. Lamb of God, the sacrificial Lamb of God, slain on that cross, in order that you might be washed and made clean, in order that the free grace of God might be yours, salvation. salvation. God is rich in mercy for His great love for which He loved us. The great, amazing, astonishing love of God. But where do you find it? Where do you go to get it? You go to Jesus. Nowhere else you get it. You don't get it in Islam. It's not there. You don't get it in Rome. You don't get it from the Pope. It's not there. You don't get it from the Watchtower Society. It's not there. It's not a man-made religion. No love of God there. It's not revealed there. You can't see it in all the things that God has made. Only one place where you find the love of God, and that's at the cross, where His Son bled and died. That's the love of God. revealed to you, that it might be yours one day, that you might receive it, the free love of God, riches of His grace, His mercy, in Jesus Christ, only in Him, trusting into Him, believing into Him. That's what you must do, because in that day when you stand before God, if you're not in Christ, and Christ is not in you, born into you, on that day you face judgment, you face the wrath of God, the eternal wrath of God even, in Christ. That's where the love of God is, that's where the mercy of God is, that's where the part of the forgiveness, the covering for your sins, His blood you see it covers when you believe into Jesus. In Jesus there is Therefore, now, no condemnation, no judgment, no punishment, no penalty. He took it all. You simply have to receive Him into yourself, into your heart. You simply have to receive the gift of God, the love of God in Jesus Christ. Out of Him there is no life. Outside of Him there is no salvation. Another name under heaven. Another name under heaven by which we must be saved. Life. No life without Jesus. No life apart from God. Dead in your trespasses and sin. Dead. Dead as dead can be. No life apart from God. Just an earthly existence. No light outside of Christ. He is the light of the world. No life, no love, no mercy, nothing of the loving kindness of God. It's all in Jesus Christ. the one and only mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. He must bring it to you. He must bring you to God. That's what He died for on that cross, shed His blood for, in order that you might be washed and made clean, made acceptable to God in His beloved Son. And the way you can be acceptable to God, not in yourself, not in your sin, but in Christ. the one who has made peace by the blood of His cross, the peace of God that passes all understanding. Come unto me, says Jesus. Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, pardoned with the weight of guilt and sins what ye came for, lived and loved and died for. Take away your sin, Take away your guilt, your shame, your blame. Lift the curse and the wrath of God from off of you. Set you free. Bring the love, the riches of God's grace and mercy to you. Cover your sins, all of them, so that God, because of the blood of His Son, can no longer see them, no longer visible to God. His blood atones. His blood sacrifices. No blood sacrifice in Islam. That can't save you. Torah, the Old Testament law, Moses says, without the shedding of blood, there can be no forgiveness of sin. without the shedding of blood. Blood has to be shed. There has to be the death of a sacrifice. God Himself has provided the necessary blood sacrifice. His own Son, the Lamb of God, takes away the sin of the world, brings forgiveness from the mission of sin. None of that in His Lamb. No salvation there. only in Christ, only in Jesus. That's where you find the riches of God's mercy. That's where you find the great love of God, who saves sinners dead in their trespasses and sins. When we were dead, without hope in this world, God sent His only begotten Son. It doesn't wait for you to reform yourself. It doesn't wait for you to change. It doesn't wait for you to do anything because there's nothing that you can do to repair the damage. Make yourself acceptable to God. You must come. Simply come. You must believe. Simply believe. calls you, repent, he says, and believe the gospel, for the kingdom of God is at hand. But you can't, you can't repent, you can't believe of yourself, might as well pull yourself up by your bootstraps and try it yourself. But it's still required of you in order that you might be saved. The grace of God must come to you first of all, and that grace is set before you, offered to you here this afternoon. In the Gospel, Christ is set before you. His offer to you, you take, you come to Him, and He gives you all that you need. He gives you the repentance. He gives you the faith. Because unless He does, you never will. unless He switches a light on, unless He gives you the precious, gracious, merciful, loving, kindness, gift of repentance, you never will. You never will. Unless He, in His mercy, the riches of His mercy and kindness, unless He gives you the gift of faith, you never will believe. It's a gift of God. I give more precious than gold or silver, anything in this world. More precious. Because it enables you, it enables a man or woman to believe into Jesus. And the minute they believe into Jesus, His life, His love, His light, His salvation flows into their souls. Eternal everlasting life. becomes theirs immediately, the moment that they connect with Jesus. They get that love, they get that light. A man asked me the question a few moments ago, who would create something like polio? I know I'm in the right mind, but who would not want to believe in Jesus? Who would not, I ask you, who would not want the love of God? that brings reparation, that brings salvation, that brings eternal everlasting life. This world's not going to last forever. God is eternal, the world isn't. It's going up in seven heat, God says, that ends coming and coming sin. The Son of God returns in glory. with His holy angels, the Bible says, to take vengeance upon them that know not God and who obey not the gospel. It's coming. It's coming. The whole world's gone up in smoke, gone up in fire. God's gonna renew it, a new heaven and a new earth wherein we'll dwell. Only righteousness, but the righteousness of God, not yours. Yours, mine, our righteousnesses, like filthy rags, our best efforts, like filthy rags in the sight of God. Nah, you need another righteousness, but again, in Christ, in Christ, I keep saying it, but it's the only, you only hope in Christ, in that day when God judges you, to be found in Christ. Because only in Him, only in Him is there freedom. From that judgment, that terrible day, all they had hoped, salvation to be found. Life, love, life, lasting joy, Lord Jesus found in thee. So how many sinners hear me, hear me rather hear God's word. Repent and believe the gospel, he says. The Savior's words come to him. Come to Him for the repentance. Come to Him for the faith. Come to Him for it all. Come to Jesus. Come unto Me, He says. All ye that labor and are heavy laden, I'll give you rest for your souls. Peace with God, that is, and the peace of God that passes all understanding. And then, of course, when you come, and when He gives you His grace, but He gives you everything necessary for salvation, for redemption, for heaven instead of hell, for eternal, for everlasting life. And along with me, maybe perhaps you'll stand here with me and proclaim this great truth that I bring to you here today by grace. By grace. By grace you are saved. Only by grace, the free gift of God, set before you, offered to you here, today, this afternoon. Take Him, Jesus. He's the manifestation of the love of God, the manifestation, the life of God, and the manifestation of the mercy of God, and of the grace of God. You simply take Him. believe into Him, and you get that light everlasting, eternal. So if you'd like to have a copy of God's Word, as I say, Bible, New Testament, this here Gospel of John, good place to begin reading the Bible, if you've never read it before, you can make one, you can come and ask for one, freely, offered to you, no cost, no obligation to you, none whatsoever. read all about it, about Jesus. Have you got a question pertaining to these matters? Feel free to ask away. I'd like somebody to pray for you, and I'd be more than happy to do that for you also. May be that God would give you light, love, and life, and salvation. If I suddenly pray for you then, I'd be more than happy to do that for you also. God bless you and have mercy, mercy I say upon your ferocious, ferocious, never dying soul.
God, Rich in Mercy!
