Praise the Lord. Hey, guess what? Guess what? Guess what, Jason? What? Jesus is coming again. Amen. He told me so. I know he is. Just so you guys know, I actually know him. He knows me. He even knows my name. Amen. I actually serve him. I work for him. Amen. And I'm not ashamed to say I love him with all my heart. And the cool thing is, he's coming again. It may be morning, you know, it may be noon. Maybe evening, but Steve, it may be soon. He's coming again. Amen. What a wonderful melody that is. Reminds you like you're just dancing. Coming again. That's what Steve and Linda do every night in their house. Coming again. See all the trophies over his house for dancing. I'm sorry, I spilled the beans on that, but Steve and does the what tootsie really good. Amen. Amen. Good morning, all. It's good to see you. It's good to be here in the house of God this morning. Amen. Say it again, Bob. Amen. I was glad when they said to me, let us go into the house of the Lord. Amen. And it is good to be in the house of God on the Lord's day. to be obedient to the things of God, to desire the things of God. What makes a person desire the things of God? When I was born, I didn't desire the things of God. I desired matchbox cars and Tonka trucks. When I was a teenager, I didn't desire the things of God. I desired sports and girls, amen? And along that way, a lot of food. I desired a lot of cheeseburgers and cheese steaks, amen? And when I got in my 20s, I desired many other things, like money and doing things. And in my 30s, it's weird. It's like, what makes a person start to desire instead of the things of this world? Things in this world are pretty cool. I mean, there's some really neat things. I desire to see the Grand Canyon someday. I desire to see Alaska and the mountains and watch salmon swim. I desire to see that kind of stuff. I'm an outdoors person. I desire to see a lot of things that I've never seen before. I desire to see them. I desire to see the ocean. I desire to have a wonderful meal. I desire to do this with my wife someday, like Steve and Linda. They're going to teach me some moves. Amen? I do. I desire to go hunting next month. I desire a lot of things. But none of them are God, when it comes down to the natural person. We desire many things. What makes a person desire God? What makes him all of a sudden a change in that person? All of a sudden now, from the earthly, you start to look up to the heavenly. And you start to desire things that you can't pick up. Things that you know in here are real, and things that you want more than the things on this earth. things up there and things out there to get in the spiritual realm, you suddenly desire them more than you desire a new car, a new job. Isn't it strange? Isn't it strange when you really think about it? What makes you do that? It's funny because that is the question that is on my mind all this week. It's about desiring spiritual things. That is not the Sunday School message. But I got it on my mind. I desire to think, to talk about the things of God. You know, the Bible says, iron sharpeneth iron, even as a man sharpeneth his own continents of his friend. Meaning, iron is hard. And when it hits, it makes a spark and it sharpens the man. So sometimes we got to be sharp and we got to like iron and iron, like go back and forth. Like, what about this? And what about that? And what about this? What about the Bible says about this? And we need to do that. Amen. Talk about the things of the Bible to each other. And that's what I want to do all week this coming week is just talk about things in the Bible. We're going to talk about some things tonight. that I wanted to preach on this morning at 11, but it just didn't work out that way. So we're gonna just look into what we've been looking into. And we've been looking into the cults. We've been looking, starting about the church and what is the church and how did the church get formed. But what we came down to last week and all was the cults. And we talked about Mormons, I'm sorry, no we didn't. We talked about Mohammed and Islam. And there's so many more things to talk about. I don't really wanna get deep into it. Because it doesn't benefit me. What I want to do is give you information about what they believe. So that you, when you encounter a Jehovah Witness, when you encounter a Mormon, when you encounter a Scientologist or a Hindu, you will know what their core beliefs are. Amen? How many people know what the core belief of a Mormon is? Does anybody know what the core belief of Mormons? No? Anybody know the core beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses? You know, Jehovah's Witnesses, it's funny, because they're out there, aren't they, Jehovah's Witnesses? They're out there. They're knocking on doors and stuff. And I used to think, I used to think that they were really, really, like, they knew the Bible. That's what I thought, like, man, they knew the Bible. So I remember when I was a young Christian, I started studying the Bible. And it's funny, that verse says that to study, to show yourself approved. workman that needs not to be ashamed and so I studied I remember I was studying brother Barry I was doing it just so when I got in front of a Jehovah Witness I would have some ammunition and know what to say and I remember learning all this stuff and I remember seeing a Jehovah Witness outside the M&J roofing supply because I was in roofing and I remember seeing him out there and I said oh man and I was like here goes you know what I mean my first time went out there and I started talking to that man and I realized they didn't know any Bible And then I said, well, maybe that's just a dumb one. So I went, I met another Jehovah Witness in other places, and they knew some scripture, but only scripture that they'd been taught here and there in the Old Testament. But they didn't know the Bible. And every Jehovah Witness that I ever spoke to, except for one, didn't know the Bible. And I'm thinking, wow. I thought they really knew it. They don't know anything. They're brainwashed as a cult, and that's what they are. 100% bonafide cult. Brainwashed. Doesn't matter what you tell them. Doesn't matter how much Bible you give them. Doesn't matter how many verses you show them. They are brainwashed to go right back to a couple verses that they've been trained, trained in to use, and that's it. And they won't expand their mind and think on what the scripture says. So I found out they don't know much. You know who else doesn't know a whole lot? Is Mormons. I thought Mormons knew the Bible back and forth. You know what the Mormons, they have their own Bible. So why would they know the Bible really well? They know of it, bits and pieces. So I want to just talk to you today about the Mormons and about the Jehovah Witnesses and a little bit Scientology, Hinduism, stuff like that. But first of all, I want to just look at some verses after I just mention a few things that they have in common. And you know, when we talked about Mohammed, when it was 602 years or so, or three years after, the death of Jesus Christ who was born in that century and when he was 40 years old is when he started to to tell everyone that he was a prophet and and that was because of things that he 25 years old he got married to a rich woman he couldn't read or couldn't write up to that point he married a rich woman had wealth now he was doing going a lot of places he was going into Israel and into Egypt and he was going in into Mecca, and he was learning all these things, meeting all these Jewish people and Christians, and learning, seeing what they believed, and it molded him to start his own religion. And the one thing that he had in common with the others is that, guess what? An angel appeared to him. And an angel told him, a spirit told him, I'm Gabriel, and God's called you to be a prophet, and this is what you're gonna do. And so I just wanted to put that out there. And we do know what the fruit of Islam is. Islam, the word Islam means submission. It means submission. What happens if you don't submit? You get killed. That's about it. You submit or die. And then we know, we'll talk about this last, but the Catholicism, the Catholic Church started in 303 years after the resurrection of Christ by Constantine, a Roman emperor. And he, you got to remember this, and this is, I think, this is very simple. I was, how many people were Roman Catholic at one time? Just two of us? That's it, wow, amen. Well, the thing that I want you to understand that when you meet a Catholic, which are mostly everybody up here, the very first, what I try to tell them is, what's the very first word in the name of your religion? And they don't, huh, huh, what? It's Roman. That's the name, the very first word in the name, Roman, Roman, just bring them back, Roman, Roman. And talk about Rome. And what was Rome? The most pagan society in all the world. They were the ones who ruled the world and they were the number one most pagan. They had more pagan deities, more pagan gods, more pagan statues. They were pagan, pagan, pagan. Do you understand that? Then a pagan king has a dream of a red cross rising up, and he wakes up and says, I'm going to conquer through the cross. And he tells all his people, we are now Christians. We are believers in Jesus Christ. Had his army march through the river, said, you're all baptized. We're all Christians. Just like that. Do you think it works like that? No. So he had all these pagan gods and all these religions. So what he did was he started bringing some people that knew the scriptures, some Christians and all people together. He brought them out of hiding, brought them together, and they had councils and all this stuff. And what they came up to decide was, is that the three main things that you need to be a Christian is the virgin birth of Christ, the deity of Christ, and the resurrection of Christ. And those three things, they have that. But what are we going to do with all these pagan gods? And so what they did, they incorporated them all into their religion. and they renamed them as saints, and they renamed them as Joseph and Mary, and this and that. And they didn't get rid of them, they just incorporated it all in. So Catholicism is a corporation, is a bringing together of paganism and Christianity together, and actually some Judaism. So you have a clomert of all these things mashed together. That's why you have idols, and that's why you have crucifixes, and that's why you have 357 dogmas and some of them are like you must pray to dead men's bones and crazy stuff and But they have a core they have a core of the Trinity and they have a core of the resurrection And they have a core and that keeps them being able to say to themselves that they are not a cult They're Christian, but in all in all reality if you really want to boil it down. They're the biggest cult there is and if you really want to boil it down. It's just that nobody wants to say that because then you'll offend them and you won't win them. But in all reality, Catholicism is the biggest cult on the planet and Islam. But I want to get right now, and we'll talk about them later, but I just want to mention about the Mormons. And how an angel, an angel, it's funny because a dream appeared to the Caesar, and then an angel appeared to Joseph Smith in the 1820s in America, in United States of America, in New York. And this man, I just read a lot of stuff about it, but I don't want to get into it very much, but he said an angel appeared to him. And guess what the angel's name was? Moroni. That's where they come from, Mormons, from Morone. And this angel Moroni, which I say Baloney, he appeared to this Joseph Smith and he claimed to have, and Joseph Smith went and told everybody that he claimed, claimed no one's ever seen them, to have golden tablets that were buried in the ground in upstate New York. And he went, and guess what? On it was written a new testimony, a new testament of Jesus Christ, but it was in a language that only Joseph Smith could read. And so he claimed himself a prophet, and actually he called himself the next Mohammed. And he believed in a lot of things, but one of the very first things he instituted was plural marriages. And what he wanted to do is have many children. He wanted men to have more than one wife and have as many children you can so he knew that he needed more followers. And so he started to, well, the city of New York, they knew that he was a con man and a con artist, and I'm skipping over a lot of facts. And they wanted to arrest him, and he took off, and he went out west. And that's why they ended up out there in Utah. He tried to end up in a couple other places, but he got kicked out. Other people said, no way, we won't want your cult out here. So he ended up in Utah where nobody was. And now they own, like, the whole state. And it's funny because he had an angel appear to him. And, um, thing, too, about what he did is he wrote his own Bible. And they wrote their own Bible, and it's called the Book of Mormon. And it's actually, when I was younger, it was called the Book of Mormon, Another Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Another gospel. Right on the name. It was called Another Gospel. of the Church of Latter-day Saints. And this is some of their core beliefs that I want you to know, is that they believe that Jesus Christ is not God at all, that he is a created being. When God created Jesus, he also created Lucifer and Gabriel, and Jesus and Lucifer are brothers. But they believe even weirder stuff than that. They don't believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. They believe that those three are three separate gods. They believe that God the Father was a mortal man at one time, and that he lived on the earth, and he was so good, and he died, and he resurrected, and he became God. And now, therefore, and he has literally intercourse with other beings, and he has made spiritual beings, and after having intercourse and that's what people are and they believe that there are different celestial heavens so that if you will adhere to the Book of Mormon and do everything they say that when you die you'll get resurrected and you'll become a god just like God is a god. They have some weird Weird, weird stuff to believe. And when you really get down to it, it is really, really whacked out. It gets way worse than that. It gets way worse than that. They also believe that the Earth was populated trillions of years ago by aliens. And that aliens are some celestial beings populated the Earth, and even God was a created being. And so that everything around us is a created being so you can obtain to actually be God. And someday you will own and be God if you do everything they say. Wear their underwear, do everything you say they do. I mean, you're talking some weird, weird stuff. But yet, look at the people that come out of Brigham Young. Look at the people like Romney and Glenn Beck and all these people that believe that. And they sound good, and they look good, and you kind of want to get it on their board. You know why? Because Jesus said many false prophets will come in sheep's clothing. And these things, you know, when you look at the Mormons, when I look at the Mormons, I see squeaky clean people wearing nice white shirts, all cut hair, looking good, being good, being nice. I remember one came to my house one time, and I got him so frustrated. Oh, man. Because I knew the Bible, and he doesn't. I got him so frustrated, he got angry. Remember that time? And he got mad, and he left in a huff, man. He was fuming. Well, he came back a day or so later, whatever, and he left a Bible, King James Bible, and a videotape of, like, the life of Christ, and wrote a note, and said, I'm really sorry for getting angry, and all that. They're, like, really nice people. And so when you look at them, you're like, maybe there's something to this being a Mormon because they're really nice people. I see Christians that aren't nice people. I see Christians that are cursing and drinking and gambling. And then I look at them, they don't even drink coffee. That's one thing I know they're weird. Not only do you have to wear super special underwear under your clothes, but you're not allowed to drink coffee. Something wrong with you right there, brother. Anyway, my point to that is, if you would just open and look into the cult of Mormonism, you would see, how could any rational person believe what they believe? And it's all boiled down to two things. One is, they have their own Bible, and it was an angel. have their own Bible and it was an angel. That's important because then you have the Jehovah Witnesses in the 1870s and that was from Charles Taze Russell and guess where he started from? Anyone know where he started out from? Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Right in Pennsylvania. And he would have Bible studies and he started a magazine called The Watchtower and he started to get a lot of followers and so what happened was he He ended up becoming, having his own church and his own religion, his own cult. And this is a very big cult right now, Jehovah's Witnesses. I read, I don't know if it's true, don't know if it's true, but I read briefly that it's the fastest growing in America is that Jehovah's Witnesses, which is scary because you want to know some of their core beliefs. Does anyone know a couple of their core beliefs? One of their core beliefs is there is no hell. There is no help. Jesus was lying. Because that's why I said, Jesus lied. I like just playing with them. I go, Jesus lied to me? And they go, oh, no, no. He didn't lie. But he just didn't mean that. I said, what about when Jesus said help? He didn't mean that. What about when Jesus 22 times says hell? He didn't mean that. You know what I'm saying? Whenever anyone says you, he didn't mean that right there, warning, ding, ding, warning signs. Don't listen to people say that the Bible didn't mean that. And here what happens is they don't believe in hell at all. The teachers know hell. They don't believe in heaven. They did at one time. They believed that only the 144,000 Jehovah Witnesses will go to heaven. So when they first started out and they showed in the Bible, look the 144,000 Of course, they're Jews, but they said, look, that's us. And people said, oh, I want to be one. I want to be one. Well, guess what happened? They quickly got past 144,000. I heard now they're 8 and 1 half million. So they had to go, oh, we have to change this doctrine. And what they did is they say, the first 144,000, they went up to heaven. Heaven's filled, closed, no vacancies. Seriously. I'm dead serious. Heaven's closed. No more people. We can't fit them up here. Philly can fit a million and a half, but we can only fit 144,000 up here in space, up in heaven. So heaven's closed, you understand that? Nobody goes to heaven anymore now. So what happens to you when you die? You just soul sleep. You just go to the grave and you're dead. Nothing happens to you. There's no judgment, there's no pain, there's no suffering, there's no nothing. Well then, that sounds pretty good. I mean, I can go out and kill 27 people and rob a 7-Eleven and even kick an old lady in the ankles. Nope, nothing happens to you. That's not bad. But you won't live in the kingdom. They believe Jesus Christ is coming back as the king and he's going to set up the kingdom age. That's why it's called their little cult houses that have no windows in them. Did you ever notice they have no windows? There's no light. Exactly. No light. And thank you, Pat, and it's so true. No light, no windows, but what it is is only the Jehovah Witnesses, you have to be what they are, and only you will be resurrected when Jesus comes back, and you'll live in the kingdom. You know what else is crazy is that they wrote their own Bible, too, called the New World Translation, 1962. They wrote their own Bible. An angel, an angel appeared to him. An angel appeared to the other. A dream and then another, you see the thing where it says angel appeared, angel appeared? I just want you to realize that Scientology's really funny because how many people remember L. Ron Hubbard? Remember the commercials, L. Ron Hubbard? Yes, if you're old enough, young people don't know. He wrote a fictional book. He wrote a fictional book. He's a writer. And then guess what happened? He wanted the rights to this, Scientology, whatever you want to call it, I didn't write it down. And what they said, he lost the rights to it, so he made it into a religion. Because he's allowed to do that in religion. And everyone knows that L. Ron Hubbard was a fictional, he wrote a fictional book. And all of a sudden, all he had to do was change a couple things and say, now we're religion. This stuff's true. And people start to blindly follow him. They have some really crazy beliefs. They believe that we're all aliens. Aliens came and, I mean, you're talking Hellbop and everything else. They are wackos. But look how many millionaires and rich people follow them. Look how many Mormons in, almost was president of the United States. It was a sad day for me that I had to vote for a Muslim or a Mormon. Romney or Obama. It was like, great, I got a Muslim or a Mormon to vote for. This is just... So I'm glad the Muslim got in because at least you knew what he was. I'm glad. I'm really glad that Obama got in because at least you knew what he was. But Mormons, you don't know what they are. They hide. They hide themselves. They are hidden in cloaks of secrecy. they have temples and worship and all very very scary but anyway so then you have Hinduism and and Hinduism and I'm not going to get into this but it's a very large religion been around very very old they believe in in goddess worship they believe in a thing called Brahma is the main god he's the god there's there's Artha karma moshka and and and that reincarnation and just crazy stuff they believe in a S-H-A-K-T-I, Shakta. And it's funny because it's a woman, and it's the cosmic mother. And it's funny because it's called Devi, almost spelled like devil. And it's funny. And when you read the Bible, it talks about they worship the queen of heaven. And the Queen of Heaven's been around a long time. So all these things have been around, and they are all mysteries. But I just want to look at a couple verses right now. Look in Galatians chapter 1. And then I'm going to ask you if you have any questions about these religions, because I spent a lot of time with the Jehovah Witnesses. We had Mormons come to our church. You know, what they do is when you first become a Mormon, you're a young person, you have to go two years as a missionary. as a missionary to go out and trying to spread the gospel of the Latter-day Saints of Mormonism. And they put little things called Elder. And it's funny, they show up at the door, they're 17, they have Elder. And I say, who are you, Elder, then? You're not even Elder to my dog. So we had missionaries come into our church and had some very good talks with them. They sat in church. They were very respectful, very nice, Daniel. And after church, I went out and talked to them. And I told them, I said, do you believe in Catholicism? And they said, no, we think that's evil. I said, ah, I said, why are you here in the Baptist Church? He said, we just wanted to come in and listen. I said, because they say they believe the King James Bible, but they really don't. They use that as a front to get in. But this is what I said to him. I said, do you think Catholicism is a false religion? They said, yes. I said, it's a works-based religion, isn't it? And they said, yes. I said, it's bad, isn't it? They said, yes. I said, you're exactly the same as them. You're doing the exact same thing as Catholic Church. They never heard that before. They were like, what? I said, yeah, you have to do what your religion says, don't you? And you have to do the good works that they tell you to do. Same thing Catholics. And they were befuddled. They never heard that before. I feel sorry for people that are in these cults, because they're in darkness. They have no light. They have no light. They don't know the truth. Here, look what it says in Galatians chapter 1. Look what it says in verse 6. It says, I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that called you unto the grace of Christ. Look, he says, unto another gospel. which is not another, but there be some that trouble you and would pervert the gospel of Christ. That's what these cults do. Look what is very interesting. He says, but though we, or a, look, what's it saying? An angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you. Let him be accursed, man. Go to hell, he's saying. He says, as we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than then you have received, let him be accursed. Let him go to hell. Now, when I was young, I used to have Jehovah's Witnesses knock on my door. I knew nothing. And I would talk to them a little bit, but I would always mess with my stepdad and say, yo, Len, someone's at the door to see you. And he'd go up and have to deal with Jehovah's Witnesses. Sometimes we let them in. A couple of times we gave them a little bit of money because I thought that's what they were there for. And then I read in the Bible it says that you don't not even to wish them God's speed. You're not allowed to invite them into the house. You're not allowed to give them money. You're not allowed to wish them any good luck or anything. It says by doing that you are partakers of their evil deeds. Whoa! See, do you think God takes these cults seriously? Yeah, let them be accursed, accursed, accursed, if they preach any other gospel. Look, if you would, please, in 1 Corinthians 16. 1 Corinthians 16, verse 22, says this. If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema, maranatha. You know what that means, Bob? Let him be cursed and go to hell. Yes. And my point to that is, look at the strong wording. I mean, they even kept it in, let him be accursed and greatly detested. Let him be accursed and go to hell. I mean, this is some serious stuff. And yet, what do we do when we meet him? We're nice to him. Don't ever invite him in your house. Don't ever wish him Godspeed. Don't ever say, God bless you. I'm just telling you what God thinks about it is He knows that they are a cult of the devil bringing souls to hell. It's serious stuff. Look if you would in 1st Timothy chapter 3. I'm sorry, 1st Timothy chapter 1. In 1st Timothy chapter 1, look with me in verse 19 and 20. It says this, it says, in a good conscience, which some, having put away concerning faith, have made shipwrecked. Look what he says. Of whom, you can pick that word out, Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme. Now here's these two men that were in the church, and here they were blaspheming. They were speaking words against Jesus Christ that they that the Bible says was blasphemy. They were speaking words against Christ, so they were saying something which I don't know, maybe about his divinity, maybe about who he was. And it says, of whom, Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered unto Satan. So Apostle Paul kicked them out of the church so that they would say it's serious stuff. And what I'm getting at is we, after 2,000 years of whatever is going on or what's happened in all the church, is that we still have these same people, these same things. And what we have to do is we have to realize that what God says about it, we ought to say about it. How God feels about it, we ought to feel about it. And we ought to give it no place. No place in the church, no place in our lives, and we need to warn other people of it. Amen. Look, if you would, in Titus chapter 3. Titus chapter 3. Look in verse 10. It says, a man that is a heretic, after the first or second admonition, what's he say to do? Reject. And we don't. We don't do that. We continue to hang on. We continue to talk with them. We continue to try to help them. But God's saying, if there's a person that's a heretic, the person that's saying that is saying, I mean, like against the blood of Christ or against the virgin birth, what are we supposed to do? We're supposed to just reject them. Because these are serious allocations from God saying that we should not have anything to do with them. It's pretty serious stuff. Look in Deuteronomy chapter 4. Deuteronomy chapter 4. Deuteronomy 4, look in verse 2. It says, You shall not add unto the word which I commanded you, neither shall you diminish ought, that means anything from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God, which I commanded you. Look in chapter 12 of Deuteronomy. In other words, what he's saying is you don't add anything to it. He says, you don't add anything to the Word of God. Each and every cult, what they do, Bob, they add so much junk, it's unbelievable. They add so much, it's unbelievable. They don't even add a little, they add so much. And look in chapter 12, look in verse 32 with me. 12.32 says this. It says, What thing soever I command you, observe to do it. Thou shall not add thereto or diminish from it. You don't add to what God says and you don't take away. You don't say there is no hell when God says there's a hell. You don't take from it. Look in chapter 13. Look in verse 1 to 5. It says, If there arise among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and I'm saying that because that's exactly what Mohammed was and Constantine was, and gives thee a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke unto thee, saying, let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them. And thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the Lord your God proveth you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice. And ye shall serve him and cleave unto him. And that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the Lord thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shall thou put the evil away from the midst of thee. My point to that, I hope you can see it, is how serious God takes someone who has a dream and makes, you know, has an angel. Look in Proverbs chapter 30. Proverbs 30. Proverbs chapter 30, verse 6. Great verse. It says, And add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a what? Liar. The Bible is very clear in Revelation. All liars shall have their part in the lake of fire. All liars. Look in Revelation 22. Revelation 22, verse 18. Says this, for I testify unto every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book. If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in the book. And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city and from the things that are written this book I'm here to just showing you how serious God takes it but yet what happens is we don't take it serious we need to start taking it a lot more serious because God takes it serious because it is serious things people sending people to hell God takes very seriously And I just wanted you to say that. And if you'd look, and we'll finish with this because of time, but look in 1 Timothy 3.16, and this to me sums it up, because let me ask you a question. Well, no, go to Matthew 16 first. Matthew 16 first. This is what it all comes down to. Matthew 16. Look in verse 13, is it? Yes, verse 13. Are you all there? Everybody there? I know, I only hear Bob. Is everyone there? Okay. It says, when Jesus came into the coast of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples saying, whom do men say that I, the son of man am? And they say, well, some say thou John the Baptist, some Elijah, others Jeremiah or one of the prophets. And he said unto them, but whom say ye that I am? And Simon answered and said, thou art the Christ, the son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said, I'm blessed art thou, Simon Barjona, for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto thee, but my Father, which is in heaven. For I say unto thee, thou art Peter. Upon this rock I'll build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Talking about who he is. Every single cult, every single cult gets who Jesus Christ is wrong. Everyone. If you don't know Jesus Christ as God, you don't know Jesus Christ. If he's not God, if he's not literally the God of all creation, if he's not literally the God that created you, who is he then? Well, like I said, Mormons say he's the brother of the devil. Jehovah's Witnesses say he's an angel. Mohammed said he's just a man. And they all deny the deity of Christ. Catholics say he's God, right? But he's got a co-equal named Mary. Mary is his mother, Mary as idolatry. So you got to see how serious all this stuff is. We're out of time right now. We'll just look at one verse and be finished. First Timothy chapter three. First Timothy chapter three, look at verse 16, 316. Are you there? It says, and without controversy, Great is the mystery of godliness. God, capital G, was manifest in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on the world, and received up unto glory. Who was manifest in the flesh? God. And the Bible says there's no controversy. There's no doubt, there's no controversy. It's a mystery. And next week, we'll just look at some of those mysteries. But what I want to do is answer questions, but we're out of time right now. So next week, if you have any questions about cults, please ask them, because you're going to run into them. You're going to run into them. And I want you to know what they believe so that you can just give back to them what they believe. Amen. Let's pray. Father, almighty God in heaven, I love you with all my heart. I fear you, I thank you for saving me and delivering me from the cults, delivering me from the evil spirit, delivering me from the lies of the devil, delivering me and bringing me into the truth of the word of God. I live and we live by the word of the Lord. We ask that you'd put the Word of God into our hearts. I ask that you would light our feet before us by the Word of God, that the Word of God would be our maker and our savior and our leader and our guider and our keeper. God, I'm asking you to let us be one with your Word, and let us speak the words of truth with love, compassion to others, and help us to save this world. In Jesus' name, amen.
