this morning to be here. And they sing songs this morning about the grace of God. One of my favorite verses in the Bible. There's many, but one of my favorite. I am what I am by the grace of God. Just what I am is by His grace. Then that song they just sang. Aren't you glad that the Lord through His love and mercy He's redeemed us and brought us to this place. And it will not be long, will not be long until it will be goodbye world and hello heaven. How's that sound? Amen? And sometimes you go to a place, I remember a dear lady in the community where I grew up, And I'd go there as a young boy and love going to her house because she'd always have a biscuit or something set aside. And I'd knock on that door and she'd open that door and these were the words she would say, I want you to look who's here. That's what she'd say. And think about the day that we're going to see Jesus. and look upon his face. My Lord, have mercy. Won't that be a day? Amen. I appreciate Jeff and Angie and this family and this church and you folk have been an inspiration, blessing to me over the years and it's a great opportunity to come back, be with you. And I will not leave on Sunday morning for hardly anyone But Jeff Duncan, he's hard to say no to. But we've got two young preachers in the church now, just recently. One of them three weeks ago announced his calling, and the ones filling in for me this morning, he's been preaching now, will soon be, I guess, a year in September, next month. and doing a great job. And so, it makes it a little bit easier if you've got folk in your church that you can really know and have confidence. You can't just turn anybody loose anymore. You know, Jeff done a great job this morning preaching. I'll tell you, that's awesome. But the scripture this morning, the Lord's Pelo Mahari, I want you to look in Deuteronomy chapter number seven, Deuteronomy chapter number seven this morning for the scripture reading. And I'd like to begin reading, and I'll not read the entire chapter by any means, but several verses in this passage. And I'd like to read beginning at verse number 6 of chapter 7 of the book of Deuteronomy. And in this scripture, I want you to notice this. He says in verse number 6, For thou, art and a holy people, unto the Lord thy God, the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The Lord, watch this verse, the Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you because you were more in number than any people, for ye were the fewest of all people. But I love verse 8, but because the Lord loved you. Thank God. Because the Lord loved you. If we don't say nothing else, That'll bless the heart of every person. That you've come to be saved by God's grace. And if you haven't come to know Him, I want to say this again. Because the Lord loved you. And because of that, you can walk out of these doors saved by God's amazing grace because the Lord loved you. My Lord. Have mercy. My Lord. But because the Lord loved you and because He would keep. Brother Jeff shared a little bit this morning about the covenant God made with man. But it says, And because he would keep the oath which he had sworn to your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand. And they sang this song. I thought, man, they're singing my message. and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen from the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt. Know therefore that the Lord thy God, He is God. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus, the faithful God. which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him, and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. Man, I read this in studying yesterday. That just overwhelmed me when I thought about thousands of generations. We sometimes talk about four generations. You know, that's about as far as we can get back. But thousands of generations. Then verse number 13. And He will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee. He will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land. Thy corn, my Lord, He gets in everything. Thy corn and thy wine. non-alcoholic and thy oil and the increase of thy kind and the flocks of thy sheep in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee thou shalt be blessed above all people and thou shalt not be male or female barren among you or among your cattle verse 18 thou shalt not be afraid of them Think about that. But thou shalt not be afraid of them, but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh and unto all Egypt. He took care of them. Then verse number 24. AND HE SHALL DELIVER THEIR KINGS UNTO THY HAND, AND THOU SHALT DESTROY THEIR NAME FROM UNDER HEAVEN. THOU SHALT NO MAN BE ABLE TO STAND BEFORE THEE UNTIL THOU HAVE DESTROYED THEM. You may be seated. Father, we love you. Thank you for your word. Bless the dear people. Help us, God, to be anointed of the Holy Ghost to preach this message. We'll love you, thank you, and praise you. In Jesus' loving name, I pray. Amen and amen. And I thought about this. I just jotted this down yesterday. three places in the Word of God. It talks about and says, and literally says, I'm nothing but just, but a worm, a worm. Think about that. And you know, that's getting, you know, not thinking much about who we are. But I want to tell you something, without God, without God, where would we be? And without God, who are we? Man, what a mess! What a mess! But I want to try to preach this morning on about four things He says to the people here in this passage. And I love what He said. He says, first of all, He said, I have chosen thee. I have chosen thee. Thank God this morning. It is a blessing to know the Lord has chosen thee. Thank God we're here this morning because one day somebody passed by. God is out of the mess we were in. His name is Jesus. And I love him this morning. I want to say something. I might have been in hell if it hadn't have been for sweet Jesus. Come in one day and get me out of the mess I was in. Save me by His grace. Forgive me of my sins. I love that. He said, I have chosen thee above all people. And I love what else he says. In St. John 15, 16, he said, ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen thee. Praise God this morning. Aren't you glad that the Lord chose you and the Lord chose me? I want to tell you something. Sometimes that devil will try to make you feel like you're just a nobody. But I want you to know, thank God this morning, we can be a somebody in Jesus Christ. Bless his name. I'll tell you something this morning, I'm glad he chose me. I'm glad I'm here this morning because the Lord chose me. I forgot to think about this the other day. Of all the people on planet Earth, God chose me. Bless his name. Boy, that ought to do something for us. Thinking about the Lord chose you. And then Acts 9, 15, he told Paul, he said, you are a chosen vessel. And you know, I love that. You know, Paul, back when his name was Saul, man, he is meaner than a junkyard dog. And I'm telling you, he persecuted the church of Jesus Christ. He even had some killed. One day, one day, they were stoning old brother Stephen because he had preached the truth unto them. They got so upset, they gnashed on him with their teeth. They took him outside the city. They laid the stones to his body. but they laid their coats at a young man's feet named Saul. You know what I believe, Jeff? I believe he may have never witnessed a saint making the crossing. You're not listening. He may have never saw what he had saw that day. when he saw them putting the stones to the body of Stephen, and they laid their coats at his feet. They stoned Stephen, but before he made the crossing, he says, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And then he fell asleep. Thank God. to wake up in the arms of Jesus. And then now the day comes, the Lord said, you're a chosen vessel. And boy, did that man preach after he got saved. My, I love this. He got talking one day, and I know I'm getting off, totally off what I was trying to preach, but I love this. You remember the day he was talking about in I Corinthians chapter number 12? He's talking about those that had witnessed the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. He said he was seen at one time, better than 500 witnessed that he had got up out of the grave. And then he talked about the apostles and named them that had seen him after his resurrection. And then he said, and also me. Think about that. He said, I've had a view. of who He is. Can I say something this morning? He's chosen you and He's chosen me. And thank God this morning we are worshiping and serving a resurrected Savior. Thank God. Can I just say He lives. He lives. And because He lives, so can we live. Hallelujah. I'm glad I'm chosen of the Lord. Ephesians 1-4 said, He hath chosen us before the foundation of the world. And verse 6, of all the people on earth, the Lord thy God hath chosen thee. Think about that. Man, you know, I'm amazed at why God would choose. I could understand why he would have chosen you and you and you and you. But I knew Frank Woods. And why the Lord the way that sometimes I felt death, that I had lived in such a way that I am amazed that he can love an old rotten, wretched, miserable sinner like me. But thank God, 55 years ago, And an old-fashioned Holy Ghost sent revival. I got under old-time Holy Ghost convictions. And the old preacher preaching, he said, if you'll come tonight, he said, he'll forgive you. And he said, you can leave tonight feeling as though you have never sinned. I thought to myself, that's the best news I've ever heard. And you know what I did, Richard? I went that night down to an old-fashioned altar, and I just prayed. I couldn't tell you today the prayer I said, but I'll tell you, I know this. God heard, and the Lord forgave. And here I am, getting to preach this morning. God said, I've chosen you. Chosen you. And sure enough, I went, prayed, got up from off that altar. I felt like the weight of the world had lifted off me. And man, boy, it's just like that old preacher said. I went out of there that night feeling as though I had never seen him. Boy, I'm telling you, when he washes us, he does a good job. He made us whole, amen? But I love what it said here. He says, for thou art and a holy people unto the Lord thy God. The Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself above all people upon the face of the earth. The Lord did not set his love upon you nor choose you because you were more in number. I want to tell you something. He didn't choose me because that I had a name that people recognized all across where I went. I didn't hold some elite position. You know, and all of these things. And boy, I felt the least of the least, and I still feel that way today among God's people. But he says, it's not based on that. In some of the scripture he says, for such a worm as I, have you ever heard that saying? But that's in Job chapter 25, verse 4 through 6. Job said that. He said, you know, I don't understand how that I could ever be made whole. How could I ever be a righteous man? Because he said nothing. He said, I'm nothing more than just a worm. But I want to tell you something. God loves you for who you are. And He ain't wanting you to get things worked out. He's wanting you to realize He loves you just for who you are. Amen? But I love that Psalms 22, 6 says that. I'm just a worm. David was talking in that scripture. Romans 7, 24 says, O wretched man that I am. In other words, I'm so bad, whom the world could ever forgive and make me be one of the chosen ones. I want to tell you something. We all are sitting here this morning, and this is McDowell County, right, McDowell? Of all the people in McDowell County, and even across the state of North Carolina, God said, you are a special people unto the Lord because He said, I've chosen you. And He says, it's not based upon all the merits we could bring to Him. Listen, He ain't wanting to hear some fancy speech from me or anybody else. But I want to tell you something. One day he just reached down and says, I love you. And he says, I've come to call on you. He said, because I want you. Isn't it a blessing this morning to think about that the Lord says, I want you. Amen? Thank God. That devil. will try to make you feel like you're just a nobody. But God says, and I love verse eight, but because the Lord loved you. Well, bless the Lord. I'm here this morning saved because the Lord loved me. Thank God. Man, if I wasn't so old and half feeble and broke down, I believe I'd run me a lap. thinking about how the God could love you and me and save us. And says, I have chosen thee. Amen. I've chosen thee. Oh my Lord. You know what I want to say right here? You want to quit letting that devil browbeat you so much. You are just pulling him back to this scripture and say that old red-faced mountain preacher said that God's chosen me and said he chose me because he loved me and he says you know we ought to say this and let the devil know if God says I love you it doesn't really make any difference what the devil says Well, bless the Lord. Because God said, because I loved you, I have chosen thee. Amen. Praise God. Just like we were. And boy, I tell you this, I like how God can fix you up. Amen. And how God fixes me up. Praise God this morning, I'm telling you something, greater is he that's in you than he that's in the world. You know what, we've got victory. We've got victory over the devil, over all the things he throws at us, and what we face in life. He just needs to know something. You and I are getting ready to graduate. Amen. Praise God. And we're getting ready to get the highest of all honors. One day the Lord is going to say to us, of the chosen ones, well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter now into the joys of the Lord and live forevermore. Boy, isn't that a blessing? God said, I've chosen thee. I've chosen thee. The second thing is, watch this, read this verse with me. If you look down in verse, also in part of that verse, but because the Lord loved you, verse 8, because he would keep the oath which it's sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand? and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen from the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt." The second thing is, he said, I have redeemed thee. Brother Jeff, you didn't know what I was going to preach on, but I preached God this morning that you held up that old red hymn of the book. What did you do with that? Right here it is. This old red hymn of the book, there's a song in that book. that says, I'm redeemed by love divine. Glory, glory! Christ is mine! Wow! I am redeemed! He chose us. Then He said, I have redeemed you. You know what that means, don't you? I have bought you. In other words, I purchased you. Thank God. Every now and then that devil says, you ain't worth nothing. All you got to do is just point him to the cross. And say, you know how much I was worth? Jesus left heaven. came to this world, died for me. And I've been forgiven. He bought me. He purchased me. And I want to tell you something, I feel pretty good. Hey, I feel pretty good this morning. Because you know what? I've got royal blood flowing in my veins. And because of that, I ain't gonna never die. Somebody said, oh, preacher, there'll be a day your name will be listed in the obituary column. I've got news. My name may be there, but oh, bless the Lord. I won't be anything associated with dying. Because Jesus said, if you believe on me, you ain't going to never die. Believe as thou this. And I'd like to say this morning, I believe it. I believe that I will never die. I used to work at one time when I was at Mountain City. I used to help out at a funeral home there. And the guy that ran the funeral home, of course, later on, he passed away. But I used to tell him, I said, now, Charlie, there may be a day you're going to get a call. And they're going to say to you or one of your workers, we need Frank Woods picked up at so-and-so place. He's died. And I'd look at old Charlie and I'd say, Charlie, will you please let them know it's just a little old shell he was in. He didn't die. And when we lower his body down, we just, I'd tell old Charlie, I'd say, Charlie, please let them know. Don't be looking to where I'm going down there because I'm already up there. Now how about that? He said, I have redeemed you. You're not redeemed with corruptible things such as silver and gold from your vain conversations. You know, as the tradition of your fathers and so forth were. But he says, but you have been through the precious blood of Jesus. He said, you are redeemed because of the blood of Jesus Christ. And he says, listen, it's not silver and gold, but with the precious blood of Jesus Christ that you're redeemed. Thank God. Y'all believe the blood cleanses from all sin. I love it that he put that little word In there when he talks about our sins being forgiven, he uses the word all. All of our sins are forgiven. He don't just take one, two, three, four. He just washes us clean. And every sin is forgiven that's under the blood of Jesus Christ. Thank God this morning. He didn't just choose us because of his love, but he also redeemed us. And he was telling Israel at this time, he said, listen, I brought you out from under the strong hand of Pharaoh. And he said, I've redeemed you. And I want to tell you something this morning. He was trying to get them to understand you are a special people. He said you're not redeemed because you're the most in number, because you're the fewest. But he says it's because I loved you. Because I loved you. And then think about this. He not only forgave me, and I love him this morning for that, But then comes along, puts his hand on me and said, I want you to preach. And my Lord, he scared me to death. And I ran from that for a long time, nearly died to be honest with you. And I nearly had a complete breakdown because I was the most bashful, backward, I'd have took an F in school any day before I'd have ever stood up before a class of kids in the classroom and that teacher. I just simply could not do it. And that was the thing the devil pounded me with over and over and over. You can't stand before people. And I knew that. I could not. And when I started dating Miss Shirley right there, we'd be married a little later on in this month, 55 years. But when we'd drive up, you know the little drive up places you get a hamburger hot dog? I'd drive up, we'd drive up when we were dating. Guess who got out of the car and went up and did the ordering of the food? I'm embarrassed almost to tell you this. It had to be Shirley. She'd go up there. I'd go take her home. And her mom would have a meal fixed, and she'd say, oh, you eat with us. I was so backward that I turned down that meal because I didn't want to eat in the presence of her family. That's how bad it was, Jeff. But one night, after I was in revival meeting, and we'd gone to hear her pastor, and that's why I was attending church with her, and dropped her off at her home in Mountain City. And then I was on my way back over into Ashe County where I grew up. And going home from her house, boy, the Holy Ghost got in that car. And Jeff, man, I started preaching. Lord, how mercy. I preached. and preached and preached all the way back to my house. And it was as clear as those lights in this church lit up and shining. The Holy Ghost of God dealt with my heart and says, it'll be me and not you. And I've always tried to remember that. It's the Lord. that chose us. It's the Lord that has redeemed us. And so, I believe he knows what he's doing. This may be a little strange, but I'm telling you, you are a prized possession to God this morning. And so, may you remind the devil of that. Oh, thank God I've chosen thee. Can I just say the old song I used to love to watch old brother J.B. Spencer sing that song, two coats were before me. I could have either, so what must I do? Then in that song he said, I laid off the old coat and I put on the new. Said that's the best thing ever happened to me. Is that not true? laid off the old man and put on the new. Thank God this morning. Let me give you two more little things and I'm closing. Over in verse 13-14, I read to you, the third thing I want to mention is this, God not only has He chose us, He said, I've chosen thee, I have redeemed thee. Then I love it that God shows favor down upon His children. You know what? It's been said already this morning. God is a good God. Is He not? And let me say this. Do you feel like He's been good to you? I'm talking to you. Do you feel like He's been good to you? Do you feel like that sometimes when you feel like there's no way, He makes a way. Lord, have mercy. I could not tell you the times that it seemed like all the walls were coming in closer and closer. And all of a sudden, when it looked like you were down and out for the count, Guess who showed up? Here comes Jesus. Right on time. Makes a way when seemingly there's no way. And then, can I just say something else? My Lord, He's been good to this preacher. I could not tell you this morning The opportunities that God has given me since I've been a Christian and the doors that he's opened for this preacher, I give him praise. And then here I am, 75 years of age, and getting to pastor a church again that I said I wasn't going to pastor no more when I left from Family Ministries. I'm 69 and a half year old when I left from there. I said, I'm just going to help churches without a pastor. That's what I was doing, just going and filling in, helping churches. But then I got a call from Calvary Church up in Glendale. The deacon says, I'd like for you to come help us. Our pastors left and would you come help us? I said, that's what I'm doing, trying to help churches without a pastor. He said, we'd like for you to come. as an interim, if you would, and help us till we can get someone. I said, how long do you think that might be? He said, oh, two or three months. I've started four years now up there. But I'll tell you, God has blessed. Three weeks ago today, we baptized 16 people up there in the river. They're baptizing one young boy today in the service. So 17 in the last three weeks. Last year, since July of last year, we baptized 18. So 18 and 17. Was that 35, I guess? I tell you, I give God praise. A lot of these are young couples that God has saved and brought into the church. A lot of people, some rededicated their lives. But a lot of the families came in, they've got two and three kids. We have, like, from 15-year-old down, I think there's about 60 kids that God's brought into the church. Now, I'm not saying that in a bragging way, but I'm just telling you, God is a good God. God is a good God. He just shows favor. I said He shows favor to all of us as His people. I came from a large family. I'll tell you this quickly. I'll move on close. I came from a family of 12 siblings. I'm the youngest boy. I've got one sister living younger than I. Now the 12th, there's only three of us living. But back when there's about 10 of us at that time, maybe 11, Living, one died rather young. But we'd get together and have reunions, family reunions. And man, at that time, I could not tell you how many was there. It was a huge number if you take all of the kids, grandkids, great-grand, but anyway. But my older sister would always say this. I don't know why she said this. She would look at me and point a finger at me and says, we had it so hard. coming up, we had to work so hard. And she'd keep talking, and then she'd point that finger and say, we had it so much harder than you did. And then one reunion, she pointed the finger and said, and you were the spoiled one. You know what I said? Don't blame me. Go talk to mom and dad. Huh? Can I say this? Every now and then, he's been so good. And Jeff, going through some of the low times, and boy, I know, and we pray for you and Angie. We've been there. I know what it is to watch a wayward child. one of the most heartbreaking things you'll ever experience. But I want to say that in some of them darkest days, I still must say to you, He's good God. He's helped us. He's given us grace. And just In the lowest times, he just sent something our way, or somebody. And it's just what we needed. You know what I'm convinced? His grace is sufficient. Paul says, Lord, would you take this thorn away from me, it just really aggravate me bad. He said, I'd like for you to remove it. He prayed to the Lord three times. Then finally the Lord says, Paul, I'm not gonna remove the thorn. I believe this, Jeff. He could have possibly said to him, I'm gonna do something a little better. It don't just work for a thorn, but it'll work for you when you're out driving your vehicle. And when you're laying, maybe sometimes you don't know the harm that may be near you. He said, I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I'm just going to give you grace. Has anybody else in here had to have a little grace? Have you had to have, at times, some mercy? God bless you, man. I just now got close enough to see who you are. Amen. I want to tell you something. If it wasn't for God's grace, can I just tell you, I wouldn't be here this morning. But in all of the things we experience in life, I just want to say again, He's a good God. Sure, we all have our heartbreaks, we all have our discouraging moments, but in spite of all of that, I'd have to say this morning, He's a good God. Amen. He's a good God, and He shows favor upon us. The last thing I want to mention, you go there in the verse I read, 18 to 24, It also says this, not only have I chosen you, not only have I redeemed you, not only do I show favor to you, but God says, I'm going to take care of your enemies. He said, I'll just fight your battles. Can I say this? If you've got God with you, you can't lose. I like that. I used to watch boxing. I used to love to watch boxing on television. I don't know why. I just like to see somebody just beat the daylights out of the other person, I guess. I don't know. And somebody said, did you quit watching it? No, I just started pastoring free world Baptist folk. There's more fighting goes on in some churches than there is in the ring and boxing. Amen? Now, I know you're not guilty. This preacher beat the devil out of you, amen? I'm going to tell you something. I used to watch that. You know what amazed me? They beat the boxer that looked like he absolutely could not stand a chance under God's heaven to win that bout. He's been beat on, beat on, beat on. He's been almost out two or three times for the count. But they'd get to about eight, and he'd get to his feet and continue. Then sometimes he'd be saved by the bell. And come back, and they'd lift his hand as the winner. And one day this little old folk came to me. How many times has the devil thought he had you down and out for the count. Get up to about eight, nine, all of a sudden strength begin to come. Wonder who that comes from. What does the Bible say? Our help comes from the Lord. But anyway, about that time, Maybe you get over to the corner. Can I say this morning we've got the best corner man that anybody could ever have? We've got King Jesus. He'll help us. Gives us strength. We go back out for another round. And you've seen them go over and they take that in between the rounds, they take that what is it, ammonia stick or something, something or other, let them, their head, their eyes are open. It won't be that fragrance, but we'll have the fragrance of the sweet rose of Sharon. And then all of a sudden, he helps us. One day, He'll raise our hands and declare us the winner. Woo! And declare us the winner. How about that? You've done it. Welcome home. I've chosen thee. I've redeemed thee. I'm showing you favor and love and help. And I'm fighting your battles. The battle is the Lord's, not yours. And I tell them this, Jeff, I remind folk every now and then, don't start picking on us as people of God because your arm is way too short to get into a fight with God. Can I say this? You will lose every time. That's pretty simple, ain't it? You're going to lose every time. Somebody said, well, I wouldn't do that to God. If you do it to one of his children, you've done it to God. We don't sometimes recognize that, but that's right. If you criticize, talk about him, you're talking about Christ. If you pick a fight and try to cause hardships and hurt and things, you're doing it to the Lord. You remember what he said? If you give a drink of water, you've done it to me. If you fed the hungry, you've actually fed me. That's what the Bible says. Thank God this morning, amen? A little simple message, I have chosen thee. How about that? Anybody excited about that? I have chosen thee. I have redeemed thee. How about that? I'm showing favor or kindness down upon you. How about that? Then I'm fighting your battles. Praise God. So, I've read in the scripture, he's never lost a battle. He ain't gonna start now. Amen? God bless. That's a little mess. Let's stand together. My Jesus, my Jesus. You know, you may be hearing this morning, you say, preacher, I know the Lord's been mighty good, but I'm telling you, I need, sometimes I just need, I feel like I've let God down so many ways. Preacher, I'd like to come and just bow here and say, God, remind me, Lord, remind me. Remember that old song, Jeff? Remind me, dear Lord. I think the McCain is singing. Remind me, dear Lord. If you feel like you need to come this morning, maybe just thank God and do something for the Lord. If you're not a Christian, be a great morning to come. Give your heart to Christ. But anybody like to come down and just say, Lord, I'm glad I'm one of the chosen ones. Glad I'm redeemed. But Lord, many times I find myself complaining rather than giving you praise. And God, please help me. Now you know what God's dealt with your heart about. And if you feel the need of coming, I want to invite you to come for this time of prayer. If you haven't already made that commitment to be here in this revival meeting, I challenge you, please, make that commitment. Say, God, by your help, I'm going to be here every service in this meeting. You feel like that helped you to do that, you come. You come. Anybody else want to come? Anybody else like to come? Come, come. Why did he go to Calvary? Why did he go? Why? Why? Why was his life's blood shed for me? Why did he suffer as no man has ever done? There's just one reason. You and I am the one. He loves me. He loves us. He loves me. Yes he does, yes he does. Jesus loves me. He loves me. He loves me. Jesus loves me. right here something I'm gonna let her sing one more stanza here's something that won't happen when you stand before God this morning that he loves us that he's chose us he's redeemed us if we're born again I'm glad that He shows His favor on us. And I'm glad He fights for us. I wonder if me and the Lord looking around, I'm not going to embarrass nobody. I promise that's not my intention. I wonder if there's somebody that says, Preacher, I'm not where I ought to be. Would you pray for me? I'm not going to point you out or come to you. Just Preacher, God spoke to my heart this morning. Would you pray for me? Just lift your hand. God bless that hand. God bless that hand. God bless that hand. Anyone else? Someone else? Just be honest with the Lord. If you do it, listen, there's a point I'm going to make. How many this morning know without a shadow of a doubt that you're born again? That if you die, heaven's gonna be your home, just lift your hand. You know, hallelujah, ain't that good? But there's some that couldn't raise your hand. She's gonna sing one more stanza, one more stanza. And listen, friend, you're here, you serve a preacher, I'm visiting. for the first time, or if I'm visiting, maybe this is several times. It don't matter, friend, if you're a Christian. This altar's made for Christian people. Your heart, you're burdened this morning, why don't you come to this altar? Sing, honey, would you? If there's no movement, you'll close the service. You that could, raise your hands. What's it gonna take for you to trust Him? And turn your heart. Completely over to the Lord. Jesus. There's nobody I don't believe in here wants to die and go to a place called hell. Come on, would you? You that raised your hand. No one cares for me. Then I talk to Jesus. Come lay off the old coat and put on the new. He loves me. He loves me. Thank you, Jesus. He loves me. Jesus. Thank you, Lord. If some of you ladies would help me here, I'd appreciate that. Alright, God's extended the altar call. You say, why would He do that, preacher? These people obey God. And now He's giving you another opportunity. One more opportunity. See the extended hand of God? How about it friend? You that couldn't raise your hand. You knew you doubted it before you raised it. Or maybe you didn't raise your hand on any question this morning. Thank God for this young man. Come on, would you? I want you to forgive me and I want to walk away from this church knowing I am truly saved by God's grace. Sing another stanza, come on. When I'm sad, He loves me. And even when I'm bad, He still loves me. And when it seems no one cares for me, Then I talk to Jesus, He loves me.
I have chosen thee
