the Lord this week and trust God in his service and you'll be a help to this man of God. Amen. You have yourself. I appreciate that. I appreciate the opportunity to be back at Anyoff one more time. It's a pleasure to see all of you here. And I was thinking about what Brother Bruce said and Brother Justin said. I had a discussion with somebody at work here a while back on the Thanksgiving holiday. They were talking about Thanksgiving, and I said, well, that's really a Christian holiday. And they said, no, no, it's not. It's a federal holiday. I said, I understand. I said, but we're thankful. And they said, that's right. It's Thanksgiving. I said, well, who are we thankful to? Yeah, come on, brother Chris. Thankful to God for allowing us to be where we are. Amen, brother. That's right. I see when somebody gives me something, I say, thank you. Yeah. Somebody pays me a compliment, I say, thank you. Somebody does something, I say, thank you. The Lord's been good to us. Yes. Amen. Thank you. That's right. Thanksgiving comes. Yes. I'm thankful for Thanksgiving. My brother Justin, we ought to be thankful more often. Yes. But I do appreciate a holiday that the country set aside. We've been thankful unto God. Yes, I do too. Amen. I appreciate you being here this morning. I do want to read a few verses of scripture. I don't know how much I'll preach this morning. Maybe just say a few words. That'd be fine. And just do what the Lord would have us do. That'll work. Amen. But if you look at 1 Corinthians chapter 3 is where I want to read from. And this is going to go right along with everything that's been testified about. The things that have been said this morning. And I appreciate the Lord working those things out for us. Yeah. And I appreciate you understanding. about, I mean, I was shaking hands, and I was talking to somebody the other day, and I was talking about the faith and fear and people being careful, they're being fearful and not being faithful. I said, well, look, I've got faith that the Lord's gonna keep a diesel truck from running me over, and I'm not gonna go out on the 4-lane and dance around while they come driving by. The Lord gave us enough sense to have confidence to be careful from time. Yes. I mean, I want to be careful of the church here in Antioch. And yeah, that's right. And we got church yesterday morning. Yeah, that big householder revival yesterday morning, we had 46 people inside the building. Yeah, everybody else was out in the parking lot and listening. We're just being careful. Yeah, that's all right. Yeah, that's all right to be careful. Sure. You understand? God bless you, brother. Sure. Maybe that won't be a hindrance to us all the week. But maybe the Lord just uses this week to be a help. Yeah. And maybe be a help to the church this week. God bless you. First Corinthians chapter three. I'll start in the first verse. The Bible says, And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk and not with meat, for hitherto you were not able to bear it, neither yet now are you able. For ye are yet carnal, for whereas there is among you in being and strife, and divisions, and ye not carnal? Are ye not carnal? And walk as men. For while one saith, I am of Paul, and another, I am of Apollos, are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos? But ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man. I have planted, Apollos watered, but God giveth increase. So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth, but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one. And every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are laborers together with God. Ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. According to the grace of God which is given unto me as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. That's as far as I'll read this morning. I appreciate the Lord giving us a place in the text to read from. And we had revival at Pleasant Hill last week. And the Lord was real good to us. We saw some wonderful things. And I've been pastoring at Pleasant Hill almost five years now. I believe September will be five years that I've been the pastor at Pleasant Hill. And while I've been there, I've preached to them young folks every Sunday. And every Sunday night and week, I've preached and had other preachers preach. But I preached to them and preached to them, and I even saw several of them come down to get in the altar and pray to be saved. And they just couldn't seemingly pray through and get the peace that they wanted. And I'm a little old fogey about that, old-fashioned, I guess. When somebody comes down to pray, I just leave them alone. If they want to ask me a question, I'd be glad to answer it for them. That's what I do. Amen, brother. Amen. Yes. Amen. on what will you do with Jesus? It was great conviction, and nobody came and prayed. We come back Wednesday morning, and my daddy-in-law got up and took a big spell and testified for just a little while, and then put a limb buck cannon, got up and preached the gospel to us, and convincing again that morning, this heavy conviction, nobody came and prayed. We came back on Thursday night and we sang about two songs and we prayed and sang a couple of more. And in the middle of the fifth song, I believe it was, there was a little old boy come down to the altar and he'd been under conviction heavy that morning and throughout the afternoon and he got down there and prayed. The next thing I know, the whole altar is full. I went close to the fruit. It's going down the aisles and there's little boys and girls everywhere. And they were crying and praying. I sit back and I was praying right here, but I couldn't get where they were. And as I was praying in my mind, I began to get worried. You know, I can't be with every one of them. And all of a sudden, something whispered in my heart. And the Lord said, I've got this. I've got this. And it wasn't just a minute. One over there stood up and got saved. And then another one, and then another one. And there was three right there that got born again. And of course, now when that happened, we'd been praying for them boys and girls for a long time. And we shouted and worshipped, and the Lord helped us. And then before too long in the service, another little girl come down and got born again. Hey, Brother Larry got me after church was over. He said, you know, Brother Chris, I think the Lord was reminding us how that it's not about us, but it's all about Him. All we do is water and plant. How that it is God that gives the energy. Sometimes I say to folks, I don't have the ability, but God does. Can I say this? When it comes down to keeping folks, I don't have the ability, but God does. I'm glad this morning that we are kept by the power of God. I'm glad that everything revolves around the Lord. I begin to think about the revival in Antioch yesterday, Wednesday, and Saturday. and I had some time Saturday, and I was just thinking about this revival, and trying to do a little bit of prayer, you know, and trying to pray about it last night, reading my Bible a little bit, and I was thinking about this revival, and my mind went back, you know, to revivals here in years gone by, and I thought about Brother Milby, and Brother Milby come in and preaching, and what a preacher man that he is, and I thought about these other evangelists, I thought about Brother Cook that was a pastor here for so long, and what a mighty man, Yes! Come on, brother! I feel the same way. That's right. I know that, brother. Nope. That's right. Amen! Praise the Lord! And I knew him as a boy. I knew him all along. And I loved him very much. I dearly made him God. He was God's man. That's right. It's God's man, not us. It's all about me. Amen. There's no other name greater than my being. I must be saved. Believe it's said. I must be saved in the name of Jesus. It's all about Jesus this morning. It was all about him then, and it's all about it now. In the Old Testament, they made God in their image, he said. They must make God in their image. a man in our image, and the Lord was seeing him, and the Bible says in 1 John, he said, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word was with God, and there was nothing that was made, and that the Word wasn't there for you. I'm thankful for Jesus Christ, and it was in the bosom of the Father, and before the foundation of the world. When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden and sin entered into the world, there was only one hope, and that was Jesus Christ. His blood shed, that the clothing may have the proper attire. And throughout the Old Testament, every one of those lambs that were slain, Every bull, every goat, every turtle died. There's no point in the Christ. And now here we are in the year 2021 and we're still looking back to Christ. I take nothing away and nothing to it. It's only Christ. His blood is sufficient. It is his gospel. That's right. He is. Listen now, I know people And I'm going to say this, and I think this is probably not necessary to say, but I'm going to say it anyway. There's a popular thing today that's even going around in some of our Baptist churches, so to speak, that when you really get right down to it, as loving as God is, that when the Buddhists are praying their prayers, they're really praying to our God just a different way. And when the Muslims are praying to God, they're really praying to our God just a different way. And we're really, you know, how all the religions in the world, how they're looking to a higher power. We're all planning on going to be with God one day. We're just going on different routes. But can I say something to you this morning? I'm saved by Him, I'm kept by Him. Praise the Lord this morning, it's all about Christ. That is right, brother. That is right. There's really no big I's and little U's in this. That's right, brother. It's all about Christ. Yes. You remember that time when Jesus was talking to his disciples and he asked them a question. He said, now who do men say that I am? Yeah. And some of them said, well, some say you're Jeremiah or Isaiah or John the Baptist. or one of the prophets, Jeremiah, I believe, I can't remember who all I said, I believe that was all I said. But nonetheless, and the Lord said, well, who do you say that I am? And y'all remember when old Simon Peter spoke up and said, he said, I'll tell you what we think, we think And we think that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. That thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And the Lord sent back and looked at Simon, and he said, hey, I tell you something, Simon, a Simon blessing art thou. Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood, hath not revealed the Son to thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Amen. And he said, I say unto thee, that thy name shall be Peter. And upon this rock I'll build my church, and the gates of hell. I shall not be bound in steel. I was slain to you by and on the earth. I shall be bound in heaven. I was slain to you loose on the earth. I shall be loosed in the heavens. The Lord was given his turn upon the church. I was the rock and he was talking about it. I was the stable that Peter made. I am the Christ, I'm the Son of God. No other foundation can be laid but that which is laid. which is Jesus Christ. He is the foundation. This is the foundation. No other man can lay another one. And it goes beyond this. I love the church. The Lord loved the church, he died for the church. But my salvation goes beyond the church, it's in the Jesus Christ. I'm thankful as much as I can be that I'm a Baptist, but I'm not saved by being a Baptist. But I'm saved by Jesus Christ. And Christ alone will save this morning. It is the preaching of the cross of Calvary. The scripture says to the world, to the non-believers, it is foolishness. But unto us that believe it is the power of God and His salvation. I'm thankful tonight, whatever this happens this week, in this hour, it'll all be about Jesus. The gospel that's preached will be the gospel of Christ. That's the only hope that our boys and girls, men and women have, is to put their hope and their trust in Jesus Christ. I stand before you this morning on the Monday morning revival And the first thing that comes to my mind is, thank God I'm saved. Amen. Thank you, Lord, for saving an old wrench like me. Amen. You know, everybody's thinking, I got on my nice suit here. And they see me and they think, oh, that's a nice fellow right there. And they see me when I'm at church, and I'm always trying to love old folks and be as good people as I can. And, brother, that's what they see about me. And they think, well, that's a good boy right there. That's a good man right there. I just really don't know me. I'm not taking my suit off and I'm at the house. And wherever I'm at in my mind, I begin to wonder here and there. And I think, oh Lord, have mercy. I can't believe this. I'm just an old sinner. I'm without Jesus. I'd be bad for heaven. I'm a thank God. Amen. Amen. We're all in that condition. God bless your heart, Brother Cree. And I said, oh, Brother Gene, sometimes the thoughts that go through my mind. I get so frustrated. I'm praying all the time. Lord, help my thoughts be better. You know what Brother Gene told me? He said, Brother Chris, I hope your thoughts ain't bad as mine. I hope your thoughts aren't as bad as mine. We all have thoughts go through our mind. Somebody hit me with this a long time ago. And they said, birds come flying by and there's nothing you can do about it. That's kind of how thoughts are. Sometimes thoughts just come through your mind. You really don't want it. He said the problem is when we build a nest for those thoughts. And let them stay in there. I can't help everything I see. Sometimes things come, and I think, my goodness. I did not leave for my eyes to see that. I hear things sometimes, and I think, my goodness. I did not leave to hear that. And you know, we do things like that, and it comes about us. Just don't build a nest for those things. Those things you see, let them go by. Amen. Every time I pray, before I preach, I say, my Lord, I want to have clean hands and a pure heart. that you might be able to help me. I want my mind to be clear. I don't want to say anything that would hinder anybody or anything that would be of myself. When I'm preaching the cross of Calvary, I want it to come out as the cross of Calvary. I want to preach on the Lamb of God. He is the only hope that the world has ever had. He's the only hope that the world still does have. Amen. Yes, sir. Is there nothing less than Jesus Christ? That's right, man. Amen. I appreciate that's all I've got this morning. I don't know if that'll work, preaching or not. That's good. But really don't matter who was preaching when you got saved. You know who was preaching when I got saved? I keep it real down right here in my Bible. I didn't know what the day was for a long, long time. And one day I was going through my daddy's Bible. And I was just a boy when I got saved. I was 10 years old. I thought I was 11 for a long time. But I was just 10 when I found that in my daddy's Bible. And I said, Daddy, what is this right here? What did you do this for? He looked at it and he said, you know, I'm pretty sure Brother Kemp was preaching that the night you got saved. And that's why I wrote that in there. That was when you got saved. And it's in my Bible right here at the top. 8285 Kenneth Windsor. That's what's wrote down in my Bible. The last time I held a revival here at Antioch, Brother Kenneth Windsor was sitting over there on the pew with Sister Glenn. And I got thinking about him this morning, and my heart got to... And I'm missing Brother Westmoreland not being here with us this morning. And my heart's heavy for him not being here. And I remember one day, we went to make lunch over at Sister Champion's house. And we all sat together and ate together. And Brother Kenneth and Sister Glenda were there. And Brother Westmoreland was there. And we sat in the living room and talked and fell asleep. And some of those saints have already gone on to be with the Lord. And really, you know, I will say to you, sir, it had nothing to do with Kenneth Winters preaching. I did not. I got saved. I sure am glad that Kenneth Winters was preaching the gospel. Amen. He could have been up telling jokes and making fun, but he came in there and preached them to me. That's right, brother. Yes, yeah. The Lord used God's man to preach them to me. That's right. He gave him to me. Faith entered into my heart. I believed in the Lord, and the Lord saved me. Yes, sir. Amen. Thank God for Jesus this morning. That's all I got, brother Justin. You can go ahead and tell us if you feel the need for it. Whatever you want to do, I'll come and serve you. Absolutely. Stand on your feet, please. That's fine. Lord, help us. Amen. I promise the Lord a long time ago, we had church and I was moderator. We're going to have entertainment. Amen. There's people all throughout this building this morning. You look safe and you look right with God. Amen. That's the way you look on the outside. That's the way you see on the inside. That's right. You know as well as I do this morning that what you heard is the truth. The absolute truth. I appreciate Bro. Chris reminding the Lord. What a start to revival. It's all about Jesus. Every revival that's ever been. I go back and look at history and some of the great revivals that have been recorded and folks that have detailed what had happened in our past in American history. The Great Awakening is a great place to start if you're interested in the history of our country and how God used men of God to preach the gospel. and changed our country forever. And then God began to use America to evangelize the world. That's right, man. And be a mission work to the world of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. And unfortunately today, you know as well as I do, America is a far cry away from where she began. Yes, man. Amen. I've said this often, you can go to the funeral service of some of these saints at Brother Chris
