Let's read Acts 13, beginning in verse 5, 5, 6, and 7 together. And when they were at Salamis, they preached the Word of God in the synagogues of the Jews, and they had also John for their minister. And when they had gone through the isle of Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was by Jesus, which was the deputy of a country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man, who called for Godless, saw, and desired to hear the word of God. Which missionary journey was this in Acts 13 of Mark? First one, that's right, first missionary journey. In verse 5, remember in verse 4, where were they? They were sent out from Jerusalem, and they went to what? What's the place? Oh, we are a bit out of response. What was the place? Seleucia, was it? Solution. So I teach you these lines here. That's all. So these lines tell us exactly what we're following on this. There's our videographer. He's going to get that map up there for our people. That's good. Well, we thought this would be the way to go because we're facing Paul's church. The other maps are behind us. So, from Solomus, or excuse me, Solution, to Solomus, to Pickles. Alright, there we are. Verse 5. Now, why did Paul and Binah go on this journey? They just thought it was, they just liked to go on a trip. Who? Did anybody tell them to go? The Church of Antioch? God told them, right? They were told of the Holy Spirit, weren't they? To go. And they obeyed the Holy Spirit of God, and they went on that missionary journey. And they departed. So, in verse 5, what does Solomon say? What did they do, Solomon? Go shopping? They preached the Word, right? The Word of God. And now, that's an important thing. What is the Word of God today? What is it? We've got the King James Bible in English. We have the words of God from the Hebrew proper text, the Greek proper text, properly translated into English. So these are the words of God in English for us, English speaking people. You don't find the same words of God in some of the other versions, do you? Why is there a difference in these other versions? They call it what they call as the word of God also. Yeah. Yeah. And I mean, in America, it was a difference. Why is there a difference? Because he has a lot of words that are in the new key. And I'd be in America. Yes. All right. To be specific, how many of their New Testament Greek words are dropped out of their version? And I see. And remember how many words are just sort of two thousand. 886. That's close. 2,000. I've got 2,000. 2,886 people were just dropped right off. Well, if you drop out words, you're going to have the same word of God? You can't because they don't have to see their difference. And then that's just... They're wetter now also? Adam? They also have with you a different text, a different text, a different text or the critical text instead of the text. So they add words, affect words and change words. And, you know, in these other books, I'm talking about the NIV, the American Statute. You know how many doctrinal differences and errors there are compared to the King James Bible? Well, there's six thousand different words, but in these last doctrinal passages, all right, there's. Three hundred and fifty. I don't know why it stood my mind. The number was in that three. Three hundred fifty five. Three hundred fifty five. Three hundred fifty five. I don't know if this is where doctors are different. So see, when they drop out to a thousand eight hundred eighty six Greek words, you know, doctors are all those dropouts. How far did they drop these out in this week? Text to put it in place. What was the purpose? Who was it? Yes, Joe. That's exactly right. They didn't believe some of these doctrines that they dropped out. What was the name of these people? They lived in Egypt. This is the G.N. What is it? Gnostics, the Gnostics. That's right. They didn't believe the Deity of Christ, the Body of Resurrection, the Blood of the Atonement, the Virgin Birth. So they took their penknives and the ones that they had in Egypt and shut out those words. I dropped out of 2006 before I got released. When I got out of work, for instance, if you just make a mistake, you know, you copy something, you just make a mistake. Usually that's what you copy. That makes sense. I might make nonsense if you just accidentally miss something. That's true. Now, the point of it is, every single one of these 2886 Greek words that they dropped out, the result was it makes perfect sense. So what do you imply that the reason for dropping out was, if it makes perfect sense? They took it out, but they filled it out so it made perfect sense. It wasn't an accident, that's what I'm saying, it was not accidental. It was purposeful. Anna? I was wearing panties, and I noticed a knot, but I didn't see that knot, so I took it off by accident. I said that when I was in the hospital, because it was a knot. That's right. Take out a knot. That's exactly what the original King James Version, one of the early copies, did. They took out a knot in one of the Ten Commandments. What was the Ten Commandments they took the knot out of? Adultery. So they read, Thou shalt commit adultery. See, it's horrible. It's just a printed error, but still, it's important as it was important. So they preached the Word of God. The synagogues were at the Gentiles, but they preached to the Gentiles at this point. Now, later on, chapter 14, or again, chapter 13, since the Jews didn't receive their testimony, they went to the Gentiles. But here, who did they preach to? Jews. What's the order that God puts in His Word? First to the Jews, then to the Gentiles. Remember Romans 1.16. What does that say? Let's see. Romans 1.16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the eye of God, the salvation Everyone that believe it. So the Jew first, and also the Greek. So the Jew first, so they preach to the Jews. Did God love the Jews? Does he still love the Jews? Does he love the Gentiles? He loves the whole world, doesn't he? Yes, I mean, Albert? You mean the Greek and the Gentiles all the same time? Yeah, that's it. See, Gentile just means... Greeks were Gentiles. It's that Greek is just another name for Gentiles. That's it. The Greeks were Gentiles. In other words, non-Jews. Anna, are you stressing me? I'm making a comment. You are? I'm making a comment. Oh, is that right? Okay, go ahead. I'll show the one now. It's going to go back and forth. That's right, you drop off the no, it says do no harm to him. Drop off the no, it says do harm. So that's just the absolute effect. So it's important, isn't it? Words are important. So they spoke to the Jews, and who was helping Barnabas and Saul in this first fight? Who's helping him? John Bush, John is one that wrote John Apostles out of the possible gospel. John, John, John. Remember, they took John Larkin. Is he named here? Didn't we have him last week? There's twenty five or the previous chapter. OK. They took John whose surname was Mark. You see that first time contact. They took John Mark. Now, this is important because pretty soon at the end of this chapter, John Mark says, bye bye. I'm going home. He left him. And then when they want to take John Mark again, the second restriction, I never got picked up by the next. What did Paul say? Did not. Why didn't he? What did he say? He deserted him. And so all of us great friends split over John Mark. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no And so that's why in Chapter 16, Paul's office were in jail. Yes, sir. All right. You guys separate to make all of our misdemeanor separation. Well, that's in the New Testament. That's probably probably true. Having trouble with that. Now, I understand that the number C Ricky doesn't work, but if you put the thing right at it, you can make it turn right and left. No, she can't. You know, aim it right over here. Aim at that thing. Now, Albert, first separation. Let me just think now. Were there other separations in the book of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts? Tammy, you had a comment on that? Well, I was hearing Elder was saying. He was saying, was that the first time when Christians separate from one another, when Paul split up with Barnabas? It might be the first time in the New Testament. I was just going to say that Barnabas was. We don't know. No, we don't know. We didn't say that. I didn't make any mention of that. All it says there was a split because of this. That's true. We can't have that. We have a bond. This was the one that. for pollinators when traditional people were afraid of when they were pregnant. Yes, that's right. And so part of this was more trustworthy. And he was a very good friend of our reputation to take the underdog. Right. Did John ever get back to Paul's good gracious? Yes. Only Mark is with me. It's said in 2 Timothy. Only Mark. So Mark came back. It's good friendship. So I just play this out ahead of time. So John was there with them. So there was a threesome. There was a trio. Who were the three that were ministering to the Jews? Nine of us? Saul and John Mark. Okay. And who's six? Paul. Yeah. Well, that's true, but he's called Paul. Is it still Saul here? Yeah. Okay. He's changed. See, in verse nine it's Saul. Where do they go from here in verse six? Remember, they stand in solution, the solemnness, and where do they go? Verse six. No, they went from solution, the solemnness. Oh, they did? Look at verse five. Where do they go after the solemnness? Verse six. First of all, I agree that they move from one end of the pond to the other seat is on the island. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Did they meet with some friends? What is a sorcerer? Is sorcery good or bad? Are there some sorcerers today? Yes. And sometimes called witches? All right. What is it? What is it? Mediums. Mediums? Those that speak to the dead. Speak to the dead? Like, for instance, the Bishop Westcott was one that founded what they called the, what's it called? The Ghostly Guild. The Ghostly Guild. He was part of the Ghostly Guild. Yes, he founded the thing. So he spoke to, he tried to have all supernatural spirits, and he spoke to the dead, see? And he had a bunch of people in this Ghostly Guild. There were leaders in England at that time. Mr. Westcott was the one that had this Westcott Heart Freak text. He was a spiritist, we call him today. False teacher. And yet, the teachers of Bob Jones University say that Westcott and Heart were conservative men. Well, would you think a spiritist was conservative? I wouldn't. There you are, there's a big puddle of it. Yeah? Are the witches a man and the wizards a man? Yes, I think so. The witches are three men and the wizards are a man, and they're warlocks. Now, Jill said that this guy, Warlock Thomas, come into town here. Very proud of him. He's horrible, he's run in. Huh? I saw that in the big paper, see? Is anybody interested in seeing a warlock like that? I've got to go. A sorcerer, false prophet. Now, what is a false prophet? A liar. A liar is a liar. And what does this liar do, this particular brand of liar? Deceives. Deceives, makes his lies appealing, that's right. Yes. Now, give me some reasons why we believe Errol Campion on the radio is a false prophet. 1994, 1994. OK. And it didn't happen. So now there are many things he says are true. So, you know, as a man from Singapore, I wrote a paper, an excellent paper. I'm going to produce it and let you see it all. His name is Dr. Jeffrey Kuhl. He's the dean of the school, the seminary and the Far East Baptist Bible College Seminary. And he had an excellent quotation at the very beginning of this paper on false prophecy. Beautiful. I don't know. I can't repeat it. But the thing about it is, The master deceiver, like the angel of light that Satan is, comes so that you can hardly tell the difference. He's very, very clever, so it's a very appealing... Yes, Anne? I'm glad you didn't come back in 1994. Alright, you weren't saved then in 1994, so you're glad Jesus didn't come back in 1994. That's a good reason, isn't it, alright? That's a good enough reason. So, false prophets... Let me ask you this. Excuse me. Well, why is it that Christians can see that Harry Potter is probably the third part, which they can't see that Cinderella is no way worse. And we'll just be in this creation. Yes, I agree. Well, we have a video that was produced by Walt Disney for back in the 60s. And one of the things they were talking about was how these mathematicians who were also musicians had a secret sign written on their hands. And the secret sign was a pentagon. And that was Walt Disney. Yeah. Walt Disney really brought about that whole industry with the homosexuals and various other things. But let me ask you this. Do false prophets always speak falsely? Yes. Always? No. Very subtle. Very subtle. So what does it require? To discern them. To discern them. In other words, if false prophets were always false, we would shy away. Am I right? But they've got some truth. And so, you see, they've got a lot of falsehood. You've got to be discerned. Yes, Anne? What about Winnie the Pooh? What about Winnie the Pooh? Well, she's asking about Winnie the Pooh. What's that? What's that? I love Winnie the Pooh so much. Oh, almost bad. I'm not always well. I heard it. You're going to have poison. That poison is 99.995 percent. Potentially. Very good. That's all it takes for false prophets to kill. I mean, false prophets. But they're very sure. So here is a source of false prophets. Was he a Gentile on the island of Pecos? No? The Jew? What was his name? Now, what is there about this name that you know part of it, maybe not the other? Son of Jesus. Lau, Ben, means sons. And Jesus is a common name. Now, is it more likely to fool somebody, or less likely, for the name that ends in Jesus? I mean, if the people want us, would they take in more or would they... What if it was by Judas? Would that appeal, would that attract or repel? That would repel. Okay, because you got the Judas. What about by Jesus? That would attract. See, oh, maybe... Now, that's why I have said in one of my little articles that the New King James Version is probably the most dangerous of all the versions, because it has the same word, King James Version. Okay, it's got a hundred thousand changes, a different thing. But anyway... Do you witness to somebody using an NAS Bible and they receive Jesus Christ as holy and savior? Is that what you think occurs? No, I wouldn't say so. If they receive Christ as savior, just like if somebody explains the gospel of Christ. Well, if it shows in the words of your Bible. Well, if they're good translations, they're good verses. In other words, they're not all wrong verses. See, in the NASB or NIV or whatever, if you show a verse that has a proper rendering, that would be all right. And for that, if you take them to John 6.47, you cannot trust the NASV or NIV in that verse, that salvation verse, because they leave out two words that are most important. And Will knows what those two words are. He knows the whole verse. I read the whole verse. John 6.47. Verily, verily, I say unto you, even believeth on me, hath everlasting life. And they'll leave it out on me, so it's just that he could believe us, you know, and believe anything. So there's certain verses I'm saying after that. But other verses, those are fine, you know, just the same as, in other words, you can lead us over to Christ for these other verses. And I often like on the subject, people say, well, you know, should I switch my NASV or NIP to the KJV? Well, I say yes, because we've got all the verses, all the doctrines, everything here that we need. On me, yeah, believe it's on me, see. So now they just say, on the very last day, that he could believe us. But he who believes has everlasting life. In other words, you believe most anything. Now, the comeback on that, the people then ask me, they say, well, but you say you have to believe in Christ later on. Well, that's true, but I don't want to live in what's supposed to be. So if you have certain versions... So people can get saved with other versions? Yes, if they are. Versions that are proper, yes. Yes, you have to be careful. It's just like after they get saved. Well, they should switch to the King James Island, because although the Navy has some places that are all right, there's so many places that are not. That's what we have here. Yes. Yes. Somebody who is in a church and he's changing a. who are saying they have total understanding or they're going to use a more modern version. So they switched to a more modern version so that people might understand it's open topic, open to debate. So I think it's really important to figure out how our boundless learning perception, isn't that a valid construct? Well, here's the thing. I'm saying that in the NASD, if that's what they're using, they have three hundred and Fifty eight, whatever, three, sixty false doctrines that are there. I mean, they have the same fascistic false doctrine because they're both on the false Greek text. Now they can use what they want to use. Of course, that's up to them. But there's all kinds of difficulties with that Greek text. It's unfortunate. But the reason as far as using something you understand, I suggest they get a defined King James Bible where the words are defined accurately in the footnotes. But you see, if they're lost, they can't understand the word of God. Well, as I say, because because of the mistranslation, see the mistranslation of the NIV, for example, I found six out of six hundred fifty places in the NIV Genesis revelation by my study, which I haven't printed. But they either added the words of God, subtracted from the words of God, or changed the words of God in some other way. 6,658 I stopped counting. There were thousands more. It took me three years and eight months to do that. And they asked me about over 4000 exactly. So you can't trust the changes. You can't trust. Now, what do you have something to say? Earlier, you said it was going to say, yes, you find it. Yes, I know. OK, that's good. That's something to say as far as people who know. truth is a doctrine of the unseen. I was doing something somebody over who said they have a hard time, and two, more so, I've been humbled to be vindicated in this church setting in Washington. I've heard little Tommy, some of the other kids that have been in here, they're understanding the reason down to maybe 10 years old. Discipline is the key. You're just telling these people you don't have to be disciplined or have to read your soft core or whatever you want to call it. Anna, you had something? So some people believe that the reason that maybe that one has this vial, the color of the glass, that made him a savior. Is the color just black? No, I can't say about the color of the vial. Oh, another thing on the... Is that what they think? Well, I don't know. I don't understand. Tammy, can you interpret? No, she's just talking about the believe, not believe on the... Oh, I see. You have to believe. Oh, I see. Yeah, I do. Who sort of believes you believe in Satan, believe in anything? In America, the V's and Vows, the King James Bible, more than any other scripture we know of, makes a distinction between singular use and plural. You see, that's a wonderful thing. In John three, seven, Nicodemus, except the man to see, was that three, seven? You must be born again. You must be born again. Okay. No, I don't mind. He said to me, I said to thee, ye must be born again. Now, here's thee and ye in the same sentence. The modern versions make amends me to that and say, I said to you, you must be born again. You and you. But what's the difference between thee and ye? What's the difference? Which is singular? Thee. Everything that begins with a thee is singular. I said thee. What's the ye, singular or plural? Plural. Plural, because of the y, see? So if you didn't have a King James Bible unless you had your Greek text, you really wouldn't know the difference between singular and plural. And that's one of the wonderful things about our King James Bible. We've got, Albert? and the other versions that are in the hands of other churches that are going along with the acceptance of homosexuality and whatnot to the point where they're putting them in the pulpit and giving the positions of responsibility to the very bottom that says this is not to be done. So that's the dangers of saying, well, yes, I might have learned something, I could have been led to it, but what else is going along with that aggression? Now, the NIV that had a homosexual, it had the Department, and a lesbian, as one of the English people, you know, Mrs. Virginia Robinson, up in North Jersey, that NIV has absolutely gutted strong references against homosexuality. They say homosexual offenders, meaning if you offend a homosexual, you're no good. No, homosexual offenders, the word is homos. It's not a horse and a female, was it? So they've changed in many, many places. So you can't trust it. That's all. You just can't trust it. Yeah. And a scarier point is that we is using the King James, like the fear that any man comes with another doctor. Well, that's still written in the NIV. They can go with that very word and say, well, they're coming with the Mother Doctrine, they're coming with the Mother Doctrine. And the original means and doctrines have been left by the wayside. And if, like myself, when I first went into a church setting, a shamanic setting, that was what I had. So God blessed me with the truth, the idea that there was a difference. I'd have accepted that, you know what, pretty soon I'd have accepted homosexuality. I wouldn't be looking for a young lesbian pastor being the whole thing. I don't have a problem with it at all. I say this always by way of analogy. If you go to a good hotel, I don't mean a sleazeball hotel, I mean a real ritzy hotel. Name one in Australia, come on. Sheraton. What? The health bar. They throw out a lot of good food, I'm sure. You know what I mean? And throw out the garbage because people don't eat it. They don't use it again, serve it again. You find a lot of good food in their garbage cans. But I not recommend it for a steady diet. A lot of good food in their garbage cans. And so you get a lot of good food in these other versions. But I don't recommend it. There's other dangers you get. Hey, Trish? There's certain things that are in Revelation that I'm hearing in Proverbs that's for sure. The word does not get added to the clear. That's correct. and see if the NIV, and I've done that personal study, I'm talking about not going to King James, but comparing it to the Hebrew and Greek original languages, and they've added or subtracted or changed words from the Hebrew and Greek. 6,658 plus plus plus. There's devilry in short there. That is sin. God says, don't you dare add to my words. As the NESV has done it 4,000 places, by my actual count, That's deviltry. The UK James over two thousand examples. That's again deviltry. Now, two thousand is not as bad as four thousand six hundred. But they're still adding to the work. Yes, sir. But before 6211, there really was a King James version of that, the version prior to King James. And when King James was printed, people were doing exactly what he's doing right now. They were looking out, they were saying, this is no good, this King James version is no good, this version that was before the King James version is the best, and how can we narrow it down to the same thing? So my question is, is it really for real? That's a good question, but... No, but we want to get them on the right food. Yeah, the right diet. See, the difference then from that is, they did not do the same thing. Let me show you what the difference is. In the King James Bible, they use the right text. The text is Meshachah's New Testament, Masoretic Hebrew Old Testament. In the business Bible, the same text were used. I'll be having this Bible. What's the other one? Geneva Bible. All these early versions. All these early versions have the same Hebrew, Greek text. Now they're in a different ballgame. If they used in the NIV the same identical Greek and Hebrew text, that's one thing. They didn't. If they do the same thing, but they switch the text. Then if the technique of translation is the same, but it's not the same technique, they add subtract and change. Yes. Well, you know, it doesn't matter so much for certain people. James was my subject when he came up because the fundamental differences between the most of the knowledge scholars of their time. Yes. It was no, no change. No translation was made without their approval of consensus at all. Which is I understand is not the case. It was very often an individual. influence the translation of a particular section without any review by other scholars, and oftentimes without any bias. But the thing that came to my mind as you were speaking is maybe one of the reasons that people who were involved in the NIV and the NASB are so easily confused about this is the fact that, and maybe you can speak to this, is the translations themselves are relatively faithful to the Westcott Report texts. So therefore, they feel they're good translations, Why do you accept the West County Court? That's not the big deal. However, the West County Court is corrupted. But even there, Dan, they're not even faithful to the West County Court. That's where they still have to back and change the verses. You know, even beyond that, you can't trust that. Yes, that's why they have to say that short history of the history of the Bible. And that shows the different different lines of the different texts. That's right. Yeah. That's right. The Tale of Two Cities. That's a book that's written by who? OK. So the Tale of Two Cities. Here's Alexander, Egypt, where the false text must be right now. Here's Antioch. which we're talking about right here, where the church began, where Paul was sent forth by the Holy Spirit. And those lines of text are pure text. And so there's different texts. But even if they're the same text, the methods of translation now are incorrect methods whereby they can change. And that's added to a noun, noun, verb, and so on, this mix of things. And that's, in fact, can change the word. So before they preached the word of God, First Timothy 3.16, as great as the mystery of godliness, God was manifest in the flesh. These new versions don't say God manifested in the flesh. They don't believe it. They say He appeared in the body, but not God. This is serious false doctrine in their false text. And so there are other doctrines. We could go on and Ephesians 3 verse 9, which says, God created all things by Christ Jesus, by Jesus Christ. They didn't want it by Jesus Christ because they didn't believe Christ was a creator, see? There's doctrine after doctrine which we'll go into in detail. So we have a right word to preach, but by Jesus was a false prophet, didn't have a right word, and then the deputy was sued in verse 7. We get back to 7. 37. Sergius Paulus, right? A prudent man. Who's a prudent man? What's a prudent man? Is that prude? A wise man. What's the difference between prudent and prude? Let's have to be prudent and prudent. Is it bad to be old-fashioned in your morals? Is it bad to be old-fashioned in your Bible beliefs? No. Does truth change? No. Never. Just because it's old, does that mean it has to be thrown out? No. Just because it's new, does that mean you have to accept it? No. Does it have a bad connotation? It has a bad connotation. That's right. It has a bad connotation. But I suppose it could probably come from food. I mean, probably the same route. So he was a prudent man, a wise man. It's not. What was he wise about here? Was he wise in what he did in first sentence or unwise? What did he want to do? What did he want to do? Tell me, is that good or bad? Who do you follow? Who else? Why didn't he call by Jesus? Why didn't he call his self prophet? Huh? That's how you hear the word of God. He wanted it straight, didn't want it false. That's an abnormal faith. Now, was he thinking he was saved or lost, this man here? What he called. He wasn't saved, he was on his way. He was interested, wasn't he? The power of Jesus in this world can attract a lot of people, but this man, Praise God, Sergius Paulus, a proven man, called for the right people with the right Bible to hear the Word of God. Well, bless you, Anne. Speak up a little something. Sometimes you see people, and they say Jesus. In Spanish, well, it's Latin American. Jesús. That's the Spanish name for Jesus. That's a common name. And let's read verse 8, 9, and 10 together. But the lioness, the sorcerer, for so her name was by interpretation, who stood there, seeking to turn away the dead lady from the face. Then Paul saw, who also is called Paul, filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, and said, O fool of all sodomy and all mischief, I have found the devil, thy enemy of all righteousness. Will thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? What happened there, Ricky? What? Did it break up? No? Smash it down again, maybe it'll break. I'm just joking. Alright, now verse 8. So, what did the false prophet try to do? Did he help these people to be witnessing? Did he help the Word of God? What is it? Try to get them away from the Word of God. Now, false prophets, do they really want the true Word of God? They do not. They want to have their own. Give me some of the false cults today. Name something. So what was Renaissance? Roman Catholics? Therismatics? Mormons? Seventh-day Adventists? Did we say Christian Science? There's a whole raft. But you see, the false teachers like Lemus, the sorcerer, what was his first name up in verse 6? Jesus, all right. And now my interpretation was the sorcerer. Turn away, the deputy, from the faith. What is the faith? What is the reference to it? What does it mean, the faith? Salvation. See, whenever you have the article with faith, faith is this, this, and faith is this, it means the body of doctrine, those things that are believed. The faith, all about the faith in the word of Jesus Christ, all about the doctrine of the faith. Yes, sir. Well, that's true. Yes. Some of the names that were listed there were not necessarily cults yet. Well, yes, they certainly are false religion. There's no question about that. Yes. Well, you know, this is a word you can name anything. Well, it is written. I mean, we've been all caught right here at this Bible study about this church, because we believe the Bible precedes Bible prophecy. I mean, you can name anything. It's a bad name. Yes. Well, that would be something. What I would prefer to have said, and perhaps they should have said, name some churches or groups that have some false doctrine. Then we can You take care of that. Then you see, we got a whole bunch of false doctrine. Mainline churches. That's right. Presbyterian, Lutheran, false doctrine. Some of us, the Baptist, that's what the Northern Baptist Convention now called the Southern Baptist. That's false doctrine. Called the what? Not called the Northern Baptist. Yeah, Northern Baptist. So there's a lot of things. We should have said false teaching, false doctrine. Thank you for correcting us. All right. So this is anonymous. I'll turn away from the faith, the doctrines. And now, who confronted him? And was it proper to confront him or improper? Who confronted him? What was it? Paul, okay. But he has another name here. Why are both names? Saul. Oh, OK. His name was changed. And now he's Paul. Now, instead of Saul, we have Paul. From now on, it's Paul. I think. I think. I mean, I think it is. All right. So. So what did Paul do when he confronted the line with the sorcerer, the false prophet? First, he looked at people like you to look at them. Always. Do you like to look at all people? No, no. This is a television reporter one of these days and she's working in television. Do they tell you to watch the camera or to look off when you're speaking? That's one beef I have. I don't know whether you've had the same beef with this fellow. I'm afraid to the Internet. That's the one o'clock or 10 o'clock news. What's his name? And somebody knows what he reads like this, but he doesn't look at the camera. He's reading off the proper position, but the proper show that the eyes are there. But he's looking like this. He's reading as if it's a horrible. It may not that bad. But it's Aaron Brown. I think his name is 10 o'clock channel. No, CNN. But he looked him in his eyes. Now, some people's eyes are evil, aren't they? I don't want to look at some people's eyes. You say, look at them, they're horrible. Now, furthermore, do all people like to have you look at their eyes? And I tell you, if you look at somebody's eyes, as our son David did one time, remember, Dan? He was in one of the buses or something in Philadelphia. He looked at his eyes, and boy, those fellows came over and beat him up. How dare you look at my eyes? See, they don't want you to look. When you stare at somebody, They're angry. Some of them are angry. Before they beat him up. Remember that day a long time ago? So, anyway. But he looked him in the eyes. What did he do then? In verse 10. Did he pray for him? He said what he saw of him. What is it? He said what he saw of him. Okay, what did he see in him? That he was full of all sorts of evil mischief. Now I can travel with the devil. Now is that a kind way to put it or something? Is it the truth? It's the truth. What is the child of the devil? How many people in this world are children of the devil? Brother, don't let Jesus your savior. When you come into this life, whose child are you when you're born? Child of the devil. In other words, God has got, there's two families. There's a family of God, a family of the devil. How do you get into God's family? Accepting the Lord Jesus, receiving him, realizing your sinner, and there you get into a different family. Now, full of all subtlety and all mischief. What else was he called? Enemy of all righteousness. What was he trying to do in verse 10? Okay, but what does he claim, what does he claim, that's right, what does he claim Elymas is trying to do? Perverting the right ways of the Lord. Now, that's where false teachers come in, isn't it? Perverting the true ways of the Lord, the right ways of the Lord. Now, Mr. Camping, when he says that the church age is gone, we no longer have any churches, it's all no good, and we're in the tribulation, he's strange. But the worst perversion, I think, of Mr. Camping is the fact that he does not believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world. He just believes He died for the sins of the elect. That's serious, because God so loved the whole world, see, not just the world. But anyway, this man was a pervert of the right ways of the world. We've got power. Just because we disagree with someone, that doesn't mean they're wrong or right. But we try to discern from Scripture. We should always go back to the Scripture. What are the right ways of the world, see? We've got to go back to the Scripture. Okay, so she says change it from the devil's time to the Lord's time. It's kind of like marriage. When a girl gets married, she changes her name. Usually. And so we change the name from the Devil's Child to God's Child. All right, Anna, what else? If they don't want to change the name, the name always stays the same. So if they don't want to change from the Devil's Child to God's Child, that's the way that goes. All right, so the right ways of the Lord are important. Now, some people, to confront false teachers is fleshly, sinful, and wrong. Does Paul hear in this verse fleshly, sinful, and wrong? How do you analyze this? What is it? Alright, verse 9 says, filled with the Holy Ghost. The Spirit of God, remember this seven, eight, nine different characteristics of the filling of the spirit, right? And one of them is, well, let's go through it. For the spirit is love, joy, peace, love of suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, against which there's no law. Now, the one that's the, this one here, is goodness. The Greek word translating goodness is agaposune. That word for goodness means strong standing for right and strong opposition for wrong. That's the way Jesus went right into the temple of the money changers and took a whip and drove them, not just righteous indignation, not unrighteous, but righteous indignation for the sake of the Lord. That's part of the fruit of the Spirit of God. And that word goodness is the word, underneath the word proficiene, which is So this is the fruit of the Spirit. He spilled the Spirit of God. So we can't say this thing was evil and fleshly, because he spilled the Spirit of God. And this is what we've got to do. We've got to confront evil. Now, some people don't like... Do people like to be confronted when they're evil? No, they don't. Do you like to be confronted even when you might be right? Nobody likes to be confronted. So this man, I'm sure, did not appreciate God's picking on him. See to that, and then it first, did we read 11 or 8, 9, 10? Let's read 11, then we'll stop right here. And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him the mist and darkness, and he went about seeking some relieving of the hand. What was the judgment of God on this false prophet? Blindness, temporary blindness. Serious thing, wasn't it? So Paul had a power, didn't he? He had a miraculous power as an apostle. He had apostolic power, and there were apostolic miracles. This was a miracle, wasn't it? Paul, a human being like we are, with apostolic power, could say, you're going to be blind for a season. And he was. God answered that. We're not apostles, and we don't have that power, but sometimes we wish some people would be judges, but we can't. That's not up to us. We're going to stop right here, and next week we'll come back. Do you have any comments or questions before we go? Yes, Anna? God loved Adam and Eve, but He gave them their own choice. Okay, God loved Adam and Eve, but He gave them their own choice. He didn't want them to sin, but they did, their own choice, that's right. Yes, Clare, go ahead. Yes, she's a good body. Yes, right. Spiritual body. Yes, right. Apparently. It was spiritual body. And pray for Mrs. White. She'll be coming home from the hospital at 4 o'clock today. We're going to go pick her up.
