Wonderful Holy Spirit, we welcome your awesome presence in revealing the word to our hearts for this hour. And Father, I thank you for anointing your people to receive your anointed word in Jesus' name. To the book of Mark, chapter 10, verse 46. And they came to Jericho and he said, we're out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people. Blind bought Emmaus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side, begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and said, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace, but he cried the more a great deal, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. And they called the blind man, saying unto him, be of good comfort, rise, he calleth thee. And he, casting away his garment, rose and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, what is it that you want me to do for you? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight And Jesus said unto him, go your way, your fate hath made you whole. And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus in the way. Very unusual topic. What do you need Jesus to do for you? Nothing deep, nothing deep, nothing revelated, something simple and to the point because I find that in this day, that we're living in, there's so many people have so many different needs. And what I've come to understand is that Jesus is available to meet every need you and I as humans may ever have. Very interesting story because it shows us how this man named Bartimaeus, who was blind, unable to see. Now, from the physical standpoint, Water Mayors couldn't see trees. He couldn't see people. He couldn't see the sunshine, the sunrise, the sunset. He couldn't see the moonlight, the stars at night. He couldn't see nothing from the physical standpoint. But let me kind of bring it home today because there's so many people that's blind. They may have vision, but no sight. They have eyesight, Bordemais was blind from the physical standpoint and to the point where he was concerned about that. He wanted to see things that other people sometimes take for granted. We're living in a time where there's so much blindness. What I mean is not a physical blindness, but a spiritual blindness where people are blinded to their own condition. They're blinded to their own life. They see nothing wrong with what they're doing. They see nothing wrong with how they're living. They see nothing wrong with the choices they may be making in life, but we see how Baltimore was sitting by the highway side and he was begging. Now, the fact that he was blind was one thing, but to make it worse, he's now begging. and there's a cry coming up to God from people. It's almost like a begging to God to free them. Watch this. Bartimaeus was begging for help. Oftentimes people can be begging or crying for help and no human hear that cry. But I've come to discover something that when you and I, as God's people, really get before God and become sensitive to God's leading, God will let you and I hear the people that's crying or begging for help. And bottom line is, when he heard that Jesus was in the neighborhood, watch this, he began to cry out. Note something. He was sitting by the highway side begging. Begging for what? Begging for help. But when he heard about Jesus through somebody, and this is why it's so important that you and I as God's people tell people where Jesus brought us from. They need to hear what you used to do. We're not focusing on us per se, but people need to understand what we was bound with that Jesus freed us from. That gives people hope. that gives people encouragement, inspiration, excitement to know that what I'm facing or what they're facing is nothing if we tell them where Jesus brought us from. And so because Bartimaeus heard from other people what Jesus done for them, it caused him to cry out to Jesus. And many of the people that was around begin to tell Bartimaeus, be quiet. You know, it's amazing and it's kind of ironic for people to have the audacity to tell people to be quiet, don't make all that noise while you're doing what you're doing, because they're not where you at. And it's amazing how the people have the nerve to tell Bartimaeus, who was first of all blind, and then number two, he was begging to be quiet. You're talking too loud. Why are you crying out to Jesus like you're doing? Because it showed that they didn't really want nothing from him. It also shows that all of the people that was around Jesus, they really didn't want what Jesus had to offer. Sometimes even in church, people may go to churches for the wrong reason. They may sometimes go to church to show off their new dress, their new suit, they got a new hairstyle, all this foolishness, and it shows why people go to church and get nothing. Oh, I better leave that one alone. And notice something, the people told all the mayors, be quiet, hold your peace, stop all that noise. But notice something he cried the more great deal because Baltimore's got tired of being like he was You're listening to me right now when you may be feeling like Baltimore's you might not be blind from the physical standpoint But you recognize you don't see your condition. You don't see that you need a savior You don't see that your life is It's messed up and you need a change. So Bartimaeus began to cry because somebody told him as to what Jesus done for them. Bartimaeus cried to the point where the Bible tells us Jesus stood still. That's amazing. Bartimaeus cried, thou son of David, have mercy on me. He cried loud enough and long enough where Jesus stopped in his tracks. wow what a cry what a my god it's amazing how this human being cried and it caused jesus to stand still you're listening to me my friend you may be going through all kind of changes in life But if you sincerely cry out to jesus just like jesus stopped for bottom s He was stopped in his tracks. He would turn your direction and he would ask you this simple question What do you need me to do for you? And jesus stood still and commanded to call bottom s they call him at bottom s bottom s came and notice in verse 51 And Jesus asked him a simple question, like he's asking you that's listening to this message right now. What do you need me to do for you? What is it that you're facing that you're tired of? Bartimaeus was tired of being blind. Bartimaeus was tired of begging. Aren't you tired of not being able to see? You may have vision from the physical standpoint. You can see the trees. Bartimaeus couldn't see no trees. You can see the birds. He couldn't see no birds. You can see the sun. You can see the moon at night, the stars as they glitter in the skies. Bartimaeus couldn't see none of the above. But he got tired of being blind. He got tired of begging. So Bartimaeus did something that if you do the same thing, Jesus will do for you what he did for Bartimaeus. He first of all asked Bartimaeus, what is it that you want me to do for you? Bartimaeus replied, he didn't have to think about it. He didn't have to wonder. He didn't say, well, Lord, come back. Give me a few minutes to think about it. The blind man said, Lord, I want to see. What do you need Jesus to do for you? You might be bound with drugs. You might be into perversion. You might be into all kind of stuff you know is destroying your life. You might be into a relationship that's always got you hurt. The man keep telling you he loved you and all this kind of stuff. You open your heart to get it stepped on, to get crushed. What do you need Jesus to do for you? If you don't know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, the major thing you need Jesus to do for you is to save your life. and know something. And Jesus said unto him, go your way. Because you responded to the question, what do you need Jesus to do for you? And that question is being asked to you right now. You're listening to this simple teaching. What is it that you're facing? What you've been going through? What you are tired of? Bartimaeus was tired of being blind. He was tired of begging. And the people have the nerve to tell Bartimaeus, You're making too much noise. It's strange. People come to church. They have been through so many changes that people don't even know. They have no idea. They can't even conceive the things people have been facing. They have had life threatening things to happen to them. Their life was on the line of being taken out, but yet they still here. So when they come to church, they got to praise, they got to worship. I mean, they just got to get it out. And people have the audacity sometimes in churches to look at folk like they crazy. Why is she praising so much? Why he prays so much? They're always crying. They're always clapping their hands. They're always jumping up and down. When you see if you've been through half the stuff, That he spoke and been through you wouldn't come to church with a camera in your hand alone You wouldn't come there to be spectating looking at what this one got on You'll lose sight of everything and everybody because you will break through the doors. I got to give god glory I got to give him praise for what he done for me. I got if I can't testify Just as my god, you got to hold my meal Glory about that capo choco and you see border may has answered the simple question lord I'm tired of being blind. Lord. I want to see Jesus is asking you this question today. What do you need him to do for you? Are you broken? Are you sad? Are you disgusted? Are you frustrated? Are you aggravated? You said Lord, I'm tired of being like I am. If you don't know Jesus, if you have never given your life, Jesus Christ. I didn't say what church you go to I'm not even concerned about that if you shook the preacher hand if you went down in water Did you ever surrender your life to Jesus Christ? If you have not done that I want you to stop what you're doing right now Because the greatest thing Jesus wants to do for you is save you He wants to give you a new beginning of life. Aren't you tired of living like you're living? Aren't you tired of being blinded? to the life you're living that you think it's okay when you're dying by degree? If you don't know Jesus, my friend, I want you to repeat this simple prayer after me. Stop what you're doing. Nothing is important right now. It's decision time. If you need Jesus to save you, he wants to give you a new beginning. And if you want that, say this simple prayer, Lord Jesus, I believe you are the son of God. I believe you came to planet earth. You hung on a cross. You set your blood for my sins. I believe you died. You was buried and you rose again and you're alive right now. Forgive me of my sins. Wash me in your blood. Come into my heart. The Lord of my life from this day forward. And Lord Jesus, I thank you for giving me a new beginning of life. In jesus name and you're listening to me and you're hurting. I want to pray for you father I thank you right now for touching your people. Let's listen to this short teaching You export a master question. What do you want him to do? And lord, you know the hearts and the cries of your people. I thank you for saving healing delivering giving directions of life blessed one. I thank you for strengthening encouraging and inspiring your people I thank you for doing in their life blessed one that only you can do And father I give you the glory the praise and the honor for it right now In jesus name, and this has been another moment in the word
