Again, thank you, Pastor, and thank you again for the opportunity to share. Yes, Mr. Dick Matthew has sent me an email also and said a big, big, big hello to everyone. He missed all of us, especially to Bill, as I mentioned. I said, Bill will come too? He said, well, yeah. Give me a big hello to him. God helped use Mr. Matthew in a great way when we renovate our building in Indian Valley. He practically used that opportunity for his church to have a short mission trip. He brought about 25 of his people in the church for a whole week. And at the time, the building was condemned, but one part was still good. And he said, our church up in the boonie in Naples, Italy, Naples in New York upstate never, never get out of town. Some of them never see what the outside world is. They probably don't know, you know, Cambodian was exist. So he said, this is a good opportunity to bring his church to be a mission trip. He said, you don't have to fly overseas to see Cambodian. They got one group in Denver to see. You can be a Cambodian culture, Cambodian language, and maybe try a Cambodian food. This is a perfect opportunity. So God gave him the wisdom to bring about almost 30 people for the whole week. We're going to hook up all the temporary shower and everything, and everybody bring their sleeping bag, and we just sweep the floor, and everybody was camped out for the whole week, and we got a lot of things done. And it was a miracle. And God used Mr. Matthew as an instrument to take the process going. And we're thankful for that. And again, in Cambodian, we don't have a good road like this, a big road. I say, Dick, you might need a dirt bike, not a motorbike, if you want to go there. But he didn't cross to anybody yet. So keep praying for Dick. He's a wonderful, wonderful man. instrument that God have using him. When he get involved a project in Cambodian, he say, you know, sir, can you bring me to Cambodian? I want to see a real Cambodia. That's how Hand Across Pacific started seven, eight years ago. And like Pastor say, as a result, the student that come to study, this is the only way to reach them. Some of them never come to a church, but to come to an English school, they're willing to come. And we have a monk that come to study English. We have a politician, you know, in the upper level that come to learn English. Because it was cheaper than the usual English that they go. So, and some of them are free. So, they come and they have opportunity to hear the gospel. And as a result, the past seven years, the church have been born. And they've been self-supported and run everything by themselves and independent right now. That's why Dick thinking about starting another places that duplicate the same system that the Lord show him and reach out to another provinces nearby. So I keep praying for Dick and as he continue to serve among Cambodians. And we see wonderful things happening there. But as we start to our second session here, I would like to testify what the Lord has been done among the Cambodian people as time went by. And like I say, again, Let us pray first. Father, again, I just need your help, Father, to put the word in my mouth, to bring memories that all the wonderful things that you have done through Cambodia. And I pray that this word will convey your message to our brother and sister here to see your grand plan of salvation for Cambodians, Father. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. Again, I was about a little baby Christian, about a year old, a year and a half. And then know the Lord. I know I'm saved. I know there is a God that created heaven and earth, the creator, the God that can hear, the God that can see, the God that can answer all our prayer. Because before I was, like I say, we used to worship idols. the man-made God, and they have eyes they cannot see, they can hear, they cannot hear, have mouth they cannot say a word, they cannot feed, they cannot walk. So here we have the opposite thing, and then I start to pray for my family, for my friends, and witness to everything, but as the devil has such a strong hold that holds the people nothing can penetrate their heart and their mind. Until 1975, when they completely turned their back on God. They persecuted missionary, they chased the missionary out of the country and everything else, and hell got loose. The Lord has said that with all the blessings, nation that the Lord is God. But when the nation turned their back on God, all the evil thing will come and take over. So the communists took over the country in 75. And like I told you something about they evacuate all the people out in the field. And the communists got their own grip. open up all the labor camp for people to do the job. And as people say, a picture worth a thousand words. But when you're in the picture, there is no word to describe. You understand what's going on. You see the message that God wants to show. And I feel a lot of people call this event three and a half year in the Cambodian as a killing field and make a movie out of it because over three and a half million, half of the population was killed and died of disease, starvation, or execution, all kinds of things. That includes my father and my older brother. So I lost two of my family in there. And the thing is, the Lord allowed things to happen for me Everybody looked into as the killing field event. But as I have the Lord, know the Lord, and I thought this event is a university of life for me. I learned what the real human being capable of. And without this, we never understood how evil can be to a human being. And again, they say they are Buddhists. They're afraid to kill fly. They're afraid to kill mosquito. They're afraid to kill worm. But when the evil took over, they're not even afraid to kill their own parents, their own husband and wife, their own children. And they say, what are they learning? What are they teaching? And Pol Pot, he was serving in the pagoda. He was learning, educated in Buddhism as well. It's just deceitful that the devil tried to destroy civilization. And when they gripped the power, and I saw when I go through, as the Lord worked with me again, I know the Lord worked with me, my Bible was burned, and the church had no more church, but still, they can burn the church, they can burn the Bible, but they cannot take God away from me. When God was in you, no matter where you go, what they do, He still be with you. His presence is always there. And you heard all the story that all the communist countries tried to destroy their faith and everything. And the more they tried to destroy, the more they grow. And after a while, the Lord was bringing me back to see what's going on in the country. And as I come out, year after year, we see a lot killing. I was witness pile of hill of body that the reception at the time they say that the country was get into peace for time. No more war. We all peaceful. No more war. Everybody was put their weapon down and everybody come and to receive the king to come back to the country. And all the soldier, all the educator, everything come to welcome the king back to the country. And they lied to them this. They load them up in the bus, in the truck, and everything can go to the field. And the machine gun ready shoot them all die. Thousand of them was deceived by that propaganda. They thought they would go to welcome the king, peaceful country. And I saw with my own eye, you know, right in the road half a mile away, pile of body, hill of body, thousands of pile up together. And the swelling heat was bursting out, shining with oil and blood and grease in there. Children have been slaughtered and educators will be killed. If you wear glasses, you're automatically killed because you know only people that study wear glasses. So people rather destroy their glasses and cannot see anything, they try to hide their identity because there was revenge in all the soldiers, all the educators, and they start from scratch. They want to kill all the old generation. and raise up the new generation from year zero to build their own utopia society there. But, you know, people believe them, hold them, even people that escaped from the country, heard the news, go back and get all killed. You know, some of them come out of the country and here that's peaceful. They try to rebuild their country. and build a utopia society there. And they go back, as soon as they go back, they're all killed. So many, many way that they say the devil come just to lie. He come to destroy life, to kill. And this is exactly what the devil use, the regime to destroy lives. So time go by, but the Lord was with me. With all this going on, I was learning, I was thinking, I was praying as a baby Christian. You know, I don't know what to do, but with the trouble come, I know how to cry out to the Lord and He protecting me. And as I look back three and a half years, several times that I supposed to be dead, but I look back, I saw the hand of God was upon me. because they do so many tricks, and as a young man, I didn't know what the Carmen is all about. And one time, they have a meeting at a campsite. Anybody know how to read and write? You know, the party needs somebody to work in the factory to do some paperwork to do that. You know, with my ignoring, I raise my hand very quick and say, I know how to read and write. You know, and many times, if you realize that, they bring you to, a place that they say, well, we're going to educate you to do the job, but you never come back. You know, they just trick people to kill them. But I didn't know that. And I do that for some reason, the Lord work in their heart, I always coming back. And people are so amazing. They say, how are you coming back? I say, I don't know. You can sit with me a little while. I tell them what I am. And they say they don't need me. And they send me back, you know? And one time, one time I was, I was, Again, they say, I go to the field, to the farm, and then they send somebody go after me, say, today you don't have to go to the farm. We're going to send you to some place to have a meeting, a conference. So I'm so happy, and it was a privilege for me to go. Instead of walking in the mud and everything, now I can go to class. And after two years, two and a half years, I really missed the class, you know? And so they brought me back to this military truck with the soldier, with the gun, everything. I feel so privileged. I got some escort, you know, some soldier escort me and everything else. And as ignorant as I am, I hopped to this bus. There's about 11 adults, older folks, all crying. They're crying. They know what they're going to do to them. And I didn't know anything. I said, why are you crying? Nobody talked. Nobody speak. Nobody do anything. And then everybody was in the truck. There were 12 of us. We go out. And they took them out there. I was so happy, I haven't been driving a car for a long time, and it was so flying, and I'm so happy, and this guy was crying, and I say, well, why are you crying? And when I get to the point, they have a checkpoint, every province, they have a checkpoint from camp to camp. You got to have permission to go further. And at the time, they say, the traffic will be cut off, they have a higher, or party authority come in town. They will not allow any traffic to go through that day. So they send us back. When they send us back, one of the other guy need some help. A communist that time, they don't have a really good system. Each group have their own authority. They can make decision in their own self. There is no structure. So each one have their own power. They can do whatever it is. As long as you go to their territory, They can have all the power they have. So when the truck go back, this old leader guy come. I say, I need some help for people to carry stuff from the train, unload the train. And they short of help. So this old big guy was strong. They know what they into it. So they try to please the old leader here. So they work real hard. They carry supply and everything, running around. And he was amazed. He said, wow, this guy worked great. All of them except me, because at the time I was so weak, so sick, and skin and bone. But they left me to cook food for them. And the 11 of them go and help carry stuff. But I didn't know the things. It was just a thing that happened. So they put me into a cooking. and the 11 of them go to work, and then my job is to go find some food, cook some rice for them. When they come back, I'm ready for their meal. So I go to collect some vegetables in the field, you know, collect some food that prepare for them. I walked by my old camp at the time, and everybody was hiding from me. And they didn't, they used to love me, and I used to, Help them read books, read stories, and everybody loved me. But that time when I walked by, everybody was away from me, high from me. I said, well, why do you behave like that? Nobody talked to me. And this one guy come out and say, why are you coming back? I said, what do you mean? Well, we know that everybody go up that truck, and they were coming back, you know? kill you. They want to bring you and kill you. We're fine. The traffic was closed and come back. Now I'm in this special group and we eat well. We have a lot of food. And then I realized that if the Lord doesn't keep us as a remnant, we will be like Sodom and Gomorrah. The hand of God was upon me, and He didn't put me, allow me to fear anything. I just trust God. My life was in the hand of God, and I just do what He wanted to do and say what He wanted to say. And if He don't let me die, nobody can take my life away. He have a plan for me, so I thank God for that experience. And then a couple months later, the country was over. As I see three and a half years, what happened to that, the book of Dura may say, neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath, but with him that was standing here and with him the day before thee, the Lord, our God, and also with them that's not here with us this day. So Lord wants to bring the covenant, make a covenant with the human race. He said, I'm going to make a covenant with the human race, not just for Israel alone, but for everybody here or over there or whatever where he is. So the covenant is, he said, I'm going to give them a law. If they obey the law, then they will be blessed. If they don't obey my word, obey my law, they will have cursing. whatever they do. So I see the parallel in the message when I look to the Word of God, read it a second time. And then after, remember before I was reading the Bible and witness to my family and people say, we don't need God. We are happy. We are prosper. We are fine. We don't need any God to change anything. You know, but after three and a half years, the Lord said, I humbled them so they softened their heart. He allowed Israel to go 40 years in the wilderness to humble them so that they know who God is. So when they're happy, they prosper, nobody's going to cry out to God. It's a human behavior like that. Some of us right now, too, everything went well. We got a job. We got a bank account. We got work. We got health and everything. God is not needed much, you know. But when the trouble come, we pray five times a day, right, as a human behavior toward God. So here it is. Before, it's a beautiful country. God was blessing and tried to show his love to the people of Cambodia. Everything was great. But he had been patient for years, for hundreds and hundreds of years, trying to show his love to Cambodia. And finally, they say, we don't need you. We'll turn his back on you. And say, OK, if you turn your back on me, see what happens when God takes his hand of protection away from the country. I would like you to see with me in a certain passage in Leviticus, in Leviticus, I see the parallel that God was speaking in this place. 26. Leviticus chapter 26. Many times that we read this passage, I guarantee that many, many of the Christians that lived prosperity never have a clue what did God mean when he say that you know and Leviticus chapter 26 the first part was talking about the blessing you know from verse 1 they say ye shall make you no idol nor graven image neither rear you up or standing Image neither shall set up any image of stone in your land. To bow down unto it, for I am the Lord your God. If you see this chapter and look into Cambodia, it will be go totally opposite. Everywhere you go to Cambodia and you see idol and people bow down in front of the idol. millions and millions of idols in the country. You go to the Buddhist temple, you will see all shapes and sizes of idols in front of them. And every house has an idol, every corner of the street. And so here, God was forbidden to make graven image. And yet, you look into Cambodia, they totally do against God. Verse 2 says, you shall keep my sabbath and law and everything else. But all the way, I would like to focus on verse 14. But when they keep the law, God will prosper them, God will bless them and everything. But verse 14, but if you will not hearken unto me and will not do this commandment, And if you shall despise my statue, or if you so abhor my judgment, so that you will not do all my commandments, but you break all my covenant, I also will do this unto you. I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning at you, and shall consume you, your eyes, and cause sorrow in your heart. and shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemy shall eat it. And it was almost exactly worse by worse what happened when the enemy, when the communists took over Cambodia. We do some farming before the communists. We export a lot of rice, a lot of crop. People work only You know, a couple hours, I mean, normal hours, 6, 7 hours, 8, 10 hours a day, and feed the whole family, have plenty of food, and export them to outside country. And here, communist took over, the whole country will be turned to a farmer. Everybody work 10, 15 hours. And yet, a lot of people starving to death. You know, because here God say, you will sow your seed in vain and your enemy shall eat them. I used to work in the field and we harvest the rice and we threshing the rice and put in the sack, in the bag, tons of them, tons of them. You know, we work all day, pile up in the threshing hole, gather the crop, put in the bag, By the morning, the truck come and took those away, truck from China, bring all the food, ship to China for supply, for guns, for everything. We have food when the harvest time come about two months. After two months, the rifles harvest and gather, ship them out, and people were starving again. They will survive by, you know, collecting all the leaves eat edible vegetables around the field and everything else. People so much in a certain place, the starvation is so much that later on you will see what happened here. Verse 17, say, and I will set my face against you and ye shall slain before your enemy. They that hate you shall reign over you, and ye shall flee when nobody pursue you." So the fear, the terrors in the people's heart of what's happening in there, they was afraid of, they don't know if they can survive to the next day. They don't know that tonight the communists are going to come and take them from home and kill them. So they live with this terror in their heart and afraid of, you cannot even trust your own husband. Everything you say, everything you talk, if you're against the communists, they can betray you, report you. You don't know who's the enemy, who's a friend. People just afraid to talk to each other, and they have some agent that come and listen to you when you have conversation between your family. If you want to escape, you want to run out, if they overheard that, you will all kill the whole family. So people live intense fear in that time, period of time. And sometimes they run without nobody to sue. They're just afraid somebody was chasing me, somebody wanted to get me, to kill me. And then was 18. And if you will not hear and will not yet for all of this hearken unto me, and I will punish you seven times more for your sins. And I will break the pride of your power and will make your heaven as an iron. and your earth as a broth. That point over there was fulfilled during the communist time. Cambodia used to have good season, plenty of rain, good crop and everything. And when the communists come in time, they say, we don't need God. We can be our own God, authority. We build a trench. We build a dam. We hold the water. We don't depend on rain to do the rice. You know, because rice need a lot of water. But they say from now on, we don't need to depend on rain. We can build our own system, dam and ditches and trenches and carry the water and do rice three times a year. Usually they do one time, but they say they're going to do three times, certain crops that can do that. But when they do that, what happens? The dam was up, the trench was ditched and everything. But it's no rain to fill that dam. It's just dry, unusual things happening. And God wanted to speak to them, who's controlling the rain? You know, who's made the rain? It's not happened by accident. It's just not there. But people never thought that there's a God that controls this world. And he wanted to show them. And so certain area was drought, was no water to do anything. And it's just disaster. And people were suffering more and more. No more food. And then 19, I will break your pride and your power and make heaven through iron and the earth and brass. And then 20 say, your strength shall be spent in vain. for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the tree of the land yield their fruit." Exactly what happened over there. I told Brother Steve along the road, so we used to have a good crop, good plant, and at that time we go, we plant corn, nice stock, tall, big, hush, everything. We peel it out, there's no grain. It's just an empty hush. Everybody said, well, what happened? Why the corn have no crop, no grain in there? It's all empty. You know, it's not produced like they used to produce anymore. And people didn't realize that, you know, they just sin against God of heaven. And he want to show who's in control of these things. Sometimes a farmer have a good crop. He give thanks to the Lord for all the crops. You know, and the Bible says, we might sow the seed, somebody water, but the growth is the Lord that make it grow, make it have a plenty crop in there. And 1 Thessalonians 1 says, walk contrary. And if you will walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me, and will bring seven times more plagues to you according to your sins. Say, Lord, give him a chance over and over and over. You should know by now, you know, see what happened. And who changed all these things. And so he give time to repent. But if you not repent, gonna be seven times more hardship. So year one, people still have some. Year two, probably half of them dead already. And to the year three, they start to really, really struggle, you know. And then people wait year after year. Well, this year we work hard enough, next year we're going to have plenty. And people work hard, then to the point that was exhausted and dying, and then nothing happened. Year two, the same thing, the empty promise, and people start to see things that's not work the way it's supposed to be. So what 22 say, I will also send wild beasts among you. which shall rob your children and destroy your cattle and make you a few in number and your highway shall be desolate. It's exactly what happened. They take the children, you know, the beast over here representing the communist leader, they call him a beast. They used to live in the jungle. There was a jungle before they took power. They were rebel, looked like a beast, survived in the jungle. And they take the son and kill them, you know, destroy them one by one. Almost, that's why the report, actually report that they, hey, they say, well, a million and a half, two million. But for me, I say the number is double there. The number is about four million people. At the time, Cambodia had about eight million people. So you can see half of the population was died. As you hear the report when we come back, every family was lost. Some of them, a whole family was wiped out, only themselves. They couldn't find any parent, any brother, any uncle, any aunt, just themselves alive. So you know how many people was killed in that family. In my family, I lost two, my brother and my father. And so as the, if you think about eight million and four million killed, that means you are the one that survived. Between these two people, you are the one that God chose you to survive for the purpose. Say, why I don't die? Why the other guy die? You got people, which one you choose? You choose the other one, and mama lie. So here, that's why I say it's amazing grace how God have planned this. And then I will send wild beast, meaning the family, and 23 say, you will not be reformed by me, all these things. but will walk contrary unto me, and I will also walk contrary unto you, and will punish yet seven times for your sins." God said, yeah, you want to play the game? You want to against me? Let's do it, you know. He said, you against me, I will against you, and see what happens. So, and then, verse 25 says, I will bring sword upon you. and shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant. And when you are gathered together within your city, I will send pestilence among you, and you shall be delivered unto the hand of your enemy." And this one, in my hometown, my village that we settled in, And because of the hard labor, because of malnutrition, starving, people become sick and become diseased. And I was sent into the camp. I didn't know what's going on in the village no more, because no news, no connection, nothing. So I would work in the labor camp, and my family was in the village. And later on, somebody bring the news that the whole village was wiped out. Disease was killing. People bury one, come back, they all drop dead. And they have to evacuate the whole village out because of disease, the pestilence or whatever it is. And it's no proper bury. They just bury in the mud. And later on, I was sent to work in my old village. And in the summertime, in the wintertime, with plenty of water with a lot of mud, they just bury with the mud shallow grave. And in the summer, when they come, The dirt dried out and cracked open. You can see scars. You can see bones. You can see everywhere was people was dead. You know, the whole town was wiped out of a disease because they would not be able to control. And we used to go to the pond and catch some fish. And they got plenty of fish, and the big fish, and come. and put in the kitchen and cook. And the fish taste so funny. I say, what? Why fish so big and taste awful and have a smell in it? And they didn't realize it. And when the water dry out in the bottom of the lake, full of dead bone in there, you know, the fish was eating carp and sting with the fish become sting with the meat. And we didn't realize that until the water go down and we see all bones in there because they have no way to bury them, they just throw in the pond. And then they sink down and bone was in the bottom of the lake. So those things happen. exactly what was in there. And if you don't go through that, and you read the word, you say, what does that mean? What does that mean to me? What does that mean to what did the Lord try to say? And then when you see it, you don't need theology. You don't need any to explain to you. You're just there. You see it, you understand it, you know it, it's just there. And then that's why I say it's a university of life that I can learn by seeing it. You know, sometimes, you know, people say, don't tell me, just show me. You know, you tell me I don't understand, you show me, I will follow you. So it's easy just to see them right in your own eye. And then you read it and say, okay, Lord, now I get it. Now I get it. And then 26th say, when I have broken your staff of your bread, and ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver it to your bread again by way. And ye shall eat and not be satisfied. What does that mean? You got one parent pastor have ten kids. I think only his wife cook and they all eat plenty, right? Here you get 10 women cook for you, but you're still hungry. Well, what does that mean? If, you know, each family only one mother cook, you've got plenty of food. In the communist system, what they do is when they put you in a concentration camp, you know, 99% of the people would go work in the field. Only 1% that stay behind and cook for you. prepare the food for you, and then they will bring food for you to eat in the field. So here, 10 women usually in the kitchen of a camp, there was 300, 400, 500 people there in that group. They will designate 10 people to take care of all the food. And when they bring to the field, they will wait for you. You got 500, they will scoop a little portion, portion for you, and then when you eat, You don't feel satisfied. Ten women cook for you, but you're not full. Because they have a portion, a ratio that they give to you. You know, you don't have much. One time I was feeding... I remember when things like that happened to me, the Lord would speak to me. I remember Jesus feed 5,000. And I say, God... One time they promised, I say, only two months that we have solid rice that will cook. And the rest of the month will be watery porridge that pour a lot of water with a little rice flowing around. And people have to find some vegetable to fill it in and whatever they can find in. But because I'm in the youth camp, what they consider as the strength of the party that can do hard work, you know, than anybody group. So they promise us, we will promise you we will not water down the rice. We will make hot rice for you to eat. Everybody's so happy. They say tomorrow you will have hot rice to eat. We not water down the water. So everybody's so happy, excited, go to the field expecting when lunchtime come they have a hot rice to eat. But they promise it and they don't give rice to the cook. to increase the amount, they give the same amount of people to cook. So when you don't put water, the rice becomes smaller, right, less. So we didn't know that. And then when the lunchtime come, we participate, hot rice, a good meal, four, you know. But when they come, they share. We got one spoon of rice each for the day. portion. That's how the bite coming out. You know, the cook only gave us one spoon each to eat. You know, I remember my eyes of worry. I started to cry. Oh, look at that. And then the Lord remind me about the miracle of 5,000 that the Lord feed with five loaves of bread. Lord, is it possible that you can perform that miracle for me?" So, the Holy Spirit started for me to give me faith to pray. I said, I'm going to pray and see that food will increase and multiply like Jesus did with the 5,000. So, everybody was eating very quick and they go out. They give them a 30-minute break and they go out to the field and find something else to eat. But I was sitting there looking at the rice and crying, and I start to pray, and I expect to see the miracle happen, see what happens. So I would close my eyes and pray, my heart, God, increase their food like you did in the 5,000. Let me see that you still with me. And I opened my eyes, the rice still the same. And I look, Lord, what happened? I prayed. How can I satisfy with a spoon of rice? So I start to argue with the Lord, spoke to the Lord, and say, I start to eat. And when I eat, I'm afraid to choose. I don't want to make them last longer. So I put it in my mouth. I chew really slow, make it last, make it last. I don't want to swallow it because, you know, So little, I want to extend my lunch time a little longer. So, to my amazement, I forgot all about it. When I finished my rice, I was so satisfied. I was full. For some reason, I said, Lord, thank you. I didn't feel hungry at all. I was full, and He didn't increase on my plate, but it was inside of me. I was feel satisfied. I said, praise God. Thank you, Jesus. And those are the things that the Lord was confirming that He's with me. He hear my prayer and keep me going on, going on. And a lot of people, you know, people can survive without food, you know. Like Jesus was fasting up to 40 days. And some people without water, you know, such a length of time, people can live without air for a couple minutes maybe. So if it's good. But they say people cannot live if they lost hope. You see? Not a second longer. When people lost hope, that's all it is. They're dead. But here, a lot of people commit suicide at the time. because they couldn't bear to see tomorrow. They're so terrified, they couldn't wait, live with fear that the next one gonna be that person will come and bring them and kill them. So they rather commit suicide themselves because they lost hope. But here, from time to time, the Holy Spirit was within me and sustained me and encouraged me. And every time I was, down low and I pray and he revealed himself to me and encouraged me to go on. So here it is, they say, let us say, the next verse they say, in 27, if ye will not fear and hearken unto me and walk unto me, then I will country to you in fury and I even chastise You're seven times for your sin. And you shall eat the flesh of your son. Can it be possible? People eat flesh of their own son? And it's impossible. Nobody can eat that. And then they say, over there, the flesh of your daughter shall you eat. I haven't seen with my own eye. But when people come, they do report that some village happening. People pretend to be sick. In the village, you're allowed to stay with the family. You have your own children. You take care of your own baby. You cannot go to the field to work. And when they come back, the baby disappear. The mother cook their own baby and eat them. They're so hungry. My village that I told you about, people report to me that say when sometime they carry the dead body to go, they take a piece of flesh back to them to cook and eat them. And it happened. And you see, how can this darkness, spiritual of darkness control people's mind that they don't know anything about human being anymore? They try to survive. from day to day, from moment to moment. They do anything to satisfy their hunger. And I have my own group. They're very strict. If you try to steal some food and they find out, you automatically kill. But still, a lot of people risk their life just to satisfy their hunger. And many people was perished because of that. And even up to the eat. And I will destroy your high place and cut down your image and cast your carcasses upon carcasses into your idol. The pagoda, the Buddhist temple, with all full of idol, you know, it turned to be a place that they pile the body in there, you know, put the body in there. and stuff like that. Exactly what the Lord has said. This is your idol. This is your God. This is what you expect them to help you. See what they can do to help you. And then they become more, will pull a body in there. Some place, there's so much stains, so much blood, so much thing that the floor will crack, will sink. into the floor, and because of those bodies that they're piling there. So, and they will see all these things happen, and say, I will make your city waste, and bring your sanctuary into desolation, and I will not smell, savor of your sweet odor. Lord of Heaven, He's a loving God, but again, He's a just God. He can't look into sin, and He will do anything to see the people coming back. Lord is not pleased to see the suffering into human beings. But because He's a just God, He's got to take what is right, do what is right. And you will see, It will scour you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you, and your land shall be desolate, and your city waste." Yes, the city waste. The street with nobody walk, the house with nobody live in. One time, I was sick, fell sick in about three months. come up with bacteria I cannot eat. I was sleeping and cannot do anything. And for three months, I don't see myself or anything. But that's amazing. When my sister was here about my news that I was in the hospital, she was come to visit me from the women's camp. and she come to the hospital looking for me, and I stand right face her, next to her, and she said, do you know where Soti is? And I was amazing. When my sister asked me when I was in front of her, I didn't realize, you know, my condition, because the Lord doesn't make me feel anything, even though I, up to the point of skin and bone, I know I was discomfort, I cannot walk. I don't have energy to walk. I cannot sit because my bone will crush to my skin and make me hurt after five minutes of sitting. And I can only walk a few yards at a time, and I was short of breath. I cannot lie down because my back will crush to my skin either. So really, I'm comfortable. But it's not pitiful. I still have this peace and joy. It's just a condition of the disease. And the Lord allowed me to go through. But when she asked for me, I said, what's going on? People lose their mind or something? They didn't recognize me? And again, three months, I didn't see myself. I had no mirror. I never combed my hair. My hair got long. The hospital have no medicine. They just put you there to die. And you see people die every day, left and right. You see that bed empty, that bed empty next to you. And you just wait your turn. And I say, Lord, if I stay here, no medicine, nothing, it's better for me to go out to my group, to my camp, and probably have better food than hospital food. So I say, please, Lord, give me the strength. that I can go out to my group. Remember, I can't walk. So, and all I have in possession is my backpack, you know, with a pair of clothes. But I cannot even have a strength to carry that. But I say, God, if I stay here, eventually, I'm going to die. There's no medicine, nothing. Food is terrible. And let me go out back to my group. After I prayed, the Lord gave me some strength. He said, I'm going to pretend I'm well. I'm walking. He said, nurse, I'm better. I want to go back to my group. I said, are you sure? He said, yeah, I'm sure. He signed me a paper, released me. And from here to the gate of the hospital, it's about 50 yards away. And I tried to gather up my strength and walk. He said, bye-bye. I'm going, I'm about to, and I go out. As soon as I got past the gate, I was collapsing. You know, but I don't want them to see you. They want to bring me back in. So I got to hide and carry up my strength and continue walking. And then in the midway, I'm going to have a hot weather season. So hot and dry. And from the hospital into my camp, it's about a mile trip. You know, so 9 o'clock, I was checking out, going out, but in my condition, I had to make a stop, you know, every 100 yards or so, and carry my stuff out. I'm so thirsty. So here all the house along the road was all empty because, you know, the owner go to the camp. They evacuate everybody. So the house was there empty. The road was empty. Only me walk back to my camp. I'm so thirsty, and in Cambodia, we have a jar that we collect rainwater to use. We don't have any plumbing. So, we have a big jar. Every time the rain comes, we collect rainwater, and that's how we use it. So, I'm thirsty. I go to one of these houses looking for water to drink. So, but sometimes they use the house to post the soldier, to use as a post, you know. So, I just want to make sure. Anybody home? Anybody home? I just want to make sure nobody's there. No answer, so it must be empty. So I go up to the house, get some shade, and this house happened to have a full view mirror, you know, full view mirror, and they're left there. And I walk by, go to the next room to rest, and to my surprise, I saw somebody in the mirror. I said, who's there? And I'm looking around, there's nobody there. So I said, who's in the mirror? So I look back to my mirror, and I was amazing. I touched myself. I said, it's me. It's me in the mirror. I'm not recognizing myself. And then I wonder why my sister's looking for me, asking for me. Because after three months in a bed in the hospital, I was turned to a walking skeleton. And all the kids, small kids, I was at the time probably 20, but they called me grandpa. Grandpa, I said, the world go crazy. My sister didn't know me, and the kid called me grandpa, and everybody else, and what's going on? And I feel fine. I was just weak a little bit. But when I see for myself, for some reason, I don't know why, I sit down and laugh at myself for a while. And I said, oh, Lord, look at me. I don't feel that. I don't feel that bad. or why I'm not that bad, so. And so when I say from 9 o'clock until 5 o'clock, it's about a mile distance, I'll make it to the camp, walking back and forth, back and forth. And in the camp, people are afraid to contact the outsider. You don't want to associate people that run away from camp to camp. So you will be punished. But they didn't recognize me because I'm just walking skeleton back and forth. And my camp was moving after three months, they're moving place around. And I couldn't find my group. They divided into groups, small group. I said, and one of the guy comes, you know, what are you looking for? And I told him, I'm so tea, I'm looking for my group, where they're moving. I said, oh, I saw you walk back and forth. I didn't recognize who you are. Over there, move over there. So everybody was go there and thank God they take care of me. They feel pity on me. They say, OK, we'll try to take care of you and give you some more food and stuff like that. And the Lord working like that. And again, many, many things that was I saw that he answered my prayer. He revealed himself true to his word. But he allowed things to happen so that I can learn his faithfulness. I can trust him more. I say, you know, I allow you to do this, not because I don't love you, but because I want you to understand what I can do. You know, what can you depend on me, to trust on me. So after that, and then, like I say, a month later, two months later, I was feel better, I go to the field and then they call me back to the truck like I told you in the first session. And then I still weak and I still weak and then still skinny and then they call me back again and then the Lord saved me again. So, and when I look back to that, I see the hand of God was on me and I say, God, I know you have a purpose for my life. I know what you want, keep me alive for a purpose. And then you can see this, and then the place was desolated, the place had nobody live on it, and then upon 36, let's say, upon them that were left alive with you, I will send the faintness into their heart, and their land, and their enemy, and the sound of the shaking of the leaves, And then they sort of flee, and flee from the sword. And they sort of, then nobody pursue. People leave with fear. Even the leaves shaking, hear a little noise. They just took off, fear, with no reason. And they just, somebody after them, somebody going to catch them, somebody going to kill them. A little noise will make them run and afraid. So all these things was happening. What time do we have? I forgot. Okay, so when these things happened, I was learning. I feel like when I'm coming back, the Lord saved me, and then I go back, I'm looking back and say, Lord, thank you for teaching me all these things. It's a university of life. I will not understand. if I'm not going through all these things. And the Lord promised that if my people that are called by my name, they cry out to me and forsake their sin. And God said, I will hear them from heaven. I will forgive them, and I will heal their land. The Lord promised after the communist collapse, the system was not longer. Three and a half year, people die and they start to distrust each other. They fight among themselves and the region collapse and everybody have a freedom to go back to their homeland, to hometown, to family. Everybody share the whole story that they never heard before, you know, because they keep lying this place was better than their place. But when they ever come together, they share all this holy story, and they realize that there was lying, there was cheating, there was, do all kind of things that people never think of. So, but, and, you know, I met the God of, like, Moses that bring us through the wilderness, through the camp. And God said, look, when they come to the camp, I will spend all my time, almost two years, a little over two years, two and a half years, day and night, missionary go there, and bring the Word of God there, and teaching there, and have my opportunity to share the gospel with my mother again. In the meantime, Thai people, United Nations have opened up camp in Thailand, Thai border, Thai-Cambodian border there. So Thai claim that they are also 95% of Thai people are Buddhist. But when we were refugee escaped in their land, they give us really hard time. They beat us up, they treat us badly, and they don't want us to be there with their land, and they always send us back our home and step on the landmine and everything else. So, yet, the missionary come and bring food, bring supply, bring clothes, bring medical care, everything to help the refugees with the word of God. And my mother start to think, I say, we are Buddhists. the same like Thai, but they treat us really bad. We didn't love each other. But yet all these people, missionary, they never knew us. They come far away, but they care for us. Why? And the Lord gave me the opportunity. You know why? Because their God is alive. Their God is the God of love. They tell them to come to help you. They are living God. They follow the living God. and to show love, to care, to compassion. And that's why they do. They not come here just for fun. They're here because they're obedient to God. And would you like to come to church and hear about this God again? And she did. She come to church, and the Holy Spirit worked in her heart, softened her heart. I said, I cried out to Buddha all this time. I didn't see any help. But now I know there is a true God that hears prayer. And one by one, my whole family come to the Lord, and they're all saved. And that's amazing. Without that, without going through that, I don't think they're going to be repentant. I don't think they're going to change their mind, their faith, and their culture. So all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who God calls according to His purpose. So I look back. It's not, you know, see how good God is. Some people blame God. If there is a God, why there is a killing field? But there is a purpose. You know, four, even four million people died. But right now, the church, thousands and thousands of church was springing up in Cambodia as a result. And the next generation and generation to come, we don't know, Lord Terry, how many million people that come to the saving knowledge of grace of God. So, it's like a good doctor, that part of the body that has cancer, he has to make a decision to cut it off, to save the whole body. So it's not, it's a cruel, it's a cruel doctor. No, it's not a cruel doctor. If you didn't cut that off, it will affect the rest of the body and you'll not survive. And God see in the big picture, if this society, he didn't do some operation, you're gonna be killed. More people bring to hell. A lot of people will go to hell more than what the operation need. So I thank God that He brought me through all this experience and he's teaching me all of these things. And it's a miracle in the wilderness why we live in camp. He was teaching so many things. I didn't have time to share with you, but I would be happy to hang around after this and any questions that you have and, you know, come and we can explain to you more. But again, before I finish, I would like to encourage one of us. This thing, I say, the Lord made covenant to the human race, not just to Asia, not to Cambodia. And United States, you know, can be changed if we not pray for it. You know, we used to receive a lot of blessing from the Lord, and now we start to turn our back on Him. You know, I know history tell us we used to pray in school, we used to have a lot of Bible in school. And what happened? When we prosper, when we're happy, we say, I don't need God no more. I can do with my own things. But if you see how our next generation is going to be, if we don't cry out to the Lord and confess to the Lord and bring His Word and remind everybody to keep faithful and obey the Lord. I mean, you know more than I know what this country used to be and how it is now. You know, we have all kind of crime, all kind of terrible things. And you say that communists is really bad, kill people, three and a half year, four million people. But how many babies did we kill in the United States? How many people did we kill and we pay for it, you know? And a lot of thing that people die every day, you know, it's more than, happen in the communist time. So let us pray and let us turn to the Lord and ask the Lord, Lord, what do you want me to do? What do you want me to do? What part can I be involved in the last time before you came? So may the Lord, Rachel, bless you and may the grace of God be with you all. And for me, Again, I say, to live is Christ, to die is gain. That's the only purpose that we hear on earth. Amen? Let us go to prayer. Father, again, I just want to thank you for the opportunity. And I pray that all our brothers and sisters here will hear your voice, Father. We'll keep praying for many humanity out there that not know you yet. They're completely under control of the darkness of the evil one. Pray that you deliver them, Father. Pray for your faithful servants that continue to work to spread the gospel there. But we here, we have a job to do as well, Father. We don't need to go to overseas. Sometimes you send missionary to the field, but sometimes you bring the field among us. Let us see the need, Father, right here. Many Cambodian population was here. You brought us here. Many other nationalities that need. You brought it here for a purpose. So I pray that you will show us the way and give us the vision and give us your power to accomplish them, Father. Again, bless our brother and sister here. Bless the pastor here as a lead. that we all be faithful unto your calling, Father. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
